Dear Team,    I need your help for configuring BLE on B-L4S5I-IOT01A board. I got some example BLE in B-L475I-IOT01A.But it is different from that board could you please help me to configure and use Bluetooth via .ioc file.

Hi，allI noticed that the ethernet driver stm32mp13xx_hal_eth.c in the STM32CubeMP13_V1.1.0 already supports PTP, When will STM32CubeMP2 package be available, and since the STM32MP2 series supports TSN, whether EST(IEEE 802.1Qbv) and FPE(IEEE802.1Qbu) functions are supported in the driver? @MWB_CHa ,I see that PTP function is added by you, so do you know the relevant information?

Hi Gfx Team,Could you comment on this please ?I tried to View.add () heap allocated container and it seems to be working Okay. The container might be statically allocated as well. The key point is, the View is not aware of it at compile time. Before Transition to other screen, I remove the widget from the View and delete it.void ScreenView::tearDownScreen () { if ( nullptr != pWgt ) { remove ( * pWgt ); delete pWgt; // heap allocated pWgt = nullptr; } ScreenView::tearDownScreen (); }I found two (contradicting?) posts by ST team related to this approach. One says this is not possible (should be avoided) @Osman SOYKURT "if you mean that you want to create a new instance of a widget during runtime, it's not possible."https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-touchgfx-and-gui/dynamic-screens-how-to-create/m-p/593246And second one provides an example (does not say it is not possible) @GaetanGodart "I have made an example that dynamically adds elements to the scrollable conta

Dear A.Ziru,Apparently I'm having the same problem as you when trying to receive MIDI data from a USB device (in this case it's a guitar multi-effects pedalboard). How did you solve the problem? Where and how did you defined that MIDI class descriptor? In my case, the USBH lig gets stuck in this while loop:while ((ep_ix < pif->bNumEndpoints) && (ptr < cfg_desc->wTotalLength))I seems that the function inside the while loop:pdesc = USBH_GetNextDesc((uint8_t *)(void *)pdesc, &ptr);never increments the pointers to the end values.I still need to study more the descriptors and the types of intefaces to better understand what is happening.I would appreciate if you could indicate the path you followed to solve the problem.Best regards,Moreto

Hello, I have a question about the FSMC and FMC protocols in the F4 series. Well, I have a configured 4" waveshare display configured for FSMC in STM32F407G. Due to lack of space in the flash, I am forced to add memory (I want to do it using QUADSPI, which this MCU does not have). So I decided to switch to STM32F469 which has QUADSPI. The only the problem is that this processor has the FMC protocol instead of FSMC, I wanted to ask what the difference is between these protocols and whether there is any significant difference in the case of parallel display support

Greetings, I am trying to blink LED using baremetal programming. I am just starting bare metal programming. My LED on Nucleo - F070 board is not being turned ON. I checked register values on data sheet and user manual and it seems to be correct. RCC and GPIOA are in different bus and I was confused a bit. I have mentioned the code below. Kindly, help me getting through this. Thank you so much in advance.   // Where is the LED connected // Port - A // Pin - 5 #define PERIPH_BASE (0x40000000UL) // Base addr. of peripheral in memory #define OFFSET_AHB2PERIPH (0x08000000UL) // In bus AHB2 0x4800 0000 is the address of GPIO port A & this offset + base value = GPIOA PORT A in memory #define AHB2_PERIPHBASE (PERIPH_BASE+OFFSET_AHB2PERIPH) // 0x4800 0000 is starting point of AHB2 #define GPIOA_OFFSET (0x00000000UL) #define GPIOA_BASE (AHB2_PERIPHBASE+GPIOA_OFFSET) #define AHB1_PERIPHBASE (0x40020000UL) #define RCC_OFFSET (0x00001000UL) //0x4002 1000 is the s

Hi, Im using NUCLEO-H753ZI board and i want to send raw data to computer terminal. i tried to by using USART1. according to the schematics i can send data via USRAT1 through the USB power connection and it not working. i also tried to use USB_DEVICE to send the data but it fails again. in my last project i have used NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q and i send the data with USART1 and there were no problem at all. can someone can help?

Hello,I have developed a breakout board for the STM32WL5MOC for development purposes and it uses both rf switches and the wiring is identical to the B-WL5M-SUBG1 evaluation board.Running the B-WL5M-SUBG1 sample application SubGhz_Phy on my board and I can only receive, but the board does not send anything. This applies to both LoRa and FSK. The output of the USART debugging looks identical. My board does not contain any of the sensors of the B-WL5M-SUBG1 board. Is this likely to be an issue with my circuit board or is there anything in the software that I need to adapt? I am using the STM32WL5MOCH6TR version.Thank you,Daniel

I'm using TIM1 to write a DMA buffer to the built-in LED. I'm trying to get the Transfer Complete callback to trigger. I've tried setting hdma->XferCpltCallback to a function. I suspect there is an interrupt enable flag I need to set and probably clear. Here's my main.c: /* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * Copyright (c) 2024 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved. * * This software is licensed under terms that can be found in the LICENSE file * in the root directory of this software component. * If no LICENSE file comes with this software, it is provided AS-IS. * ****************************************************************************** */ /* USER CODE END Header */ /* Includes ------------------------------------------------------------------

I've just spent hours trying to get a DMA to trigger and interrupt when transfer is complete. I was using HAL_DMA_Start() instead of HAL_DMA_Start_IT(). I found HAL_DMA_Start_IT() by looking through the source code.Where are the HAL libraries documented?

hello all;i wondered if there are good guidelines for power consumption vs. clock, and, how low can the processor clock run? complex, i think, especiallly if one needs to run certain peripherals like ADC, or i2c... thanks!

Hello, ST expertE.g. GPIO PD4 functions as falling edge interrupt pin on STM32F407. Before the falling edge this interrupt is disabled by HAL_NVIC_DisableIRQ(EXTI4_IRQn).  What happened if HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(EXTI4_IRQn) is executed after the falling edge? The interrupt will be ignored or be captured immediately after HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ? Best RegardsYang

Hello,I am working with STEVAL-SPIN3202 to develop motor control solution. I am using the Motor Control Workbench 6.2.1. I could generate the project using the workbench, however when i Connect the evaluation board, window with FAIL.txt opens which reads "The interface firmware FAILED to reset/halt the target MCU".Thus I am not able to connect to the board. I have tried connecting to the board using ST-Link Utility, however it gives the error message "Can not connect to target".I have tried some of the solution mentioned on the forum but the issue still persist. Please guide me so that i can get my motor running.

Hi,cleaning out my drawers and found some 8-pin IC’s wirh the marking: ST CHN NESSSN K7U826 Does someone know what these do and have a data sheet? Thanks,Bas

I would like to use LSM6DSOX with a linux board or potentially another micro controller.  What problems would i run into that using a stm32 couldn't have. I see there's a lot of code generation for stm32 chips.

Hi all,I'm working with STM32F4 discovery board, and I'd like to know if I can use one timer with interrupt to capture multiple time.For example I'd like to use TIM16, and be able to check 4 times : 150ms, 250ms, 500ms and 1000ms is it possible? After some researches I think I have to use `CNT` value. But how can I know if the time ellasped is 500ms for example ? I've already do something like this in my while loop, it's working but I'd like to do thaht in an interrupt   // If enough time has passed (1 second), toggle LED and get new timestamp if (__HAL_TIM_GET_COUNTER(&htim16) - timer_val >= 10000) { HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_5); timer_val = __HAL_TIM_GET_COUNTER(&htim16); }

When I double-click the STM32CubeIDE installation package（st-stm32cubeide_1.15.0_20695_20240315_1429_x86_64.exe）, this error will be reported. How can I solve this problem？

Hey everyone!I was just exploring different features of the ST MCSDK and encountered the on-the-fly startup option dedicated to fan application.Whenever I check this option, after the startup procedure, the motor accelerates to its nominal speed and then the firmware somehow takes control and run the closed loop to control the speed.I tried to eliminate this behavior and changed a lot of parameters including speed PI coefficients and it didn't workIs this behavior normal or am I missing something?Has anyone had the same problem? Could you please guide me if you have any idea? Thanks a lot!

Hello ST Community,I am currently working on a project using an STM32 microcontroller, where I have implemented a feature to transmit the current date and time over USB when a user button is pressed. The USB transmission is handled using the CDC class. In my code, when the user button is pressed, an EXTI callback function (HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Callback) is triggered. This function reads the current time and date from the RTC and then sends two separate messages over USB using the CDC_Transmit_FS function. Here is the relevant part of my code:The problem I am encountering is that only the first message (containing the current time) is transmitted successfully. The second message (containing the current date) does not get transmitted.I suspect that this issue might be related to the state of the USB CDC interface, potentially being busy when trying to send the second message. However, I am not entirely sure how to handle this properly.Could someone please help me understand why the second m

Hi,I'm working on stm32h7 controller and also designed GUI using scroll wheel and able to scroll using touch but i need to scroll the wheel up and down using two hardware buttons.I also created the queue in model but how to scroll up and down.Thank you

EDIT [Solution]: The register 0x0014 needs to be set to 0x04. (I put more details in the reply but it has been marked as spam for some reason). I am in process of interfacing an Attiny85 (not Arduino) with a VL6180X board (with I2C level shifter built-in).I wrote my own I2C master interface (USI) and I am able to successfully to get the VL6180X work in a single shot mode (after many hours of struggle).I spent a lot of time wild geese chasing due to VL6180X "pretending" to respond correctly to some of the register read/writes but not being able to actually read the actual distance until I moved the whole thing to battery power (adding additional capacitors to 2.8V or 3.3V supplies didn't help). One thing that lead me astray was the fact that I never bothered to check the actual contents of the 0x0062 register after setting the 0x0018 register, as I was following somewhat scarce documentation and polling the 0x004f register for a ready bit set (as per the application note): &nbs

Hello everyone. I recently purchased a Nucleo STM32H7S3L8 board, and it is giving me problems. I am using STM32CUBEIde to create a usb host and a CDC class. I am using the x-cube-tcpp module, USB_OTH_HS and the problem is that the usb host does not initialize. It stops at the USB_CoreReset function, exactly USBx->GRSTCTL is always 1, it doesn't change. Can anybody help me?

I am using a Riverdi STM32 Embedded Display RVT50HQSNWC00-B and having issues with the FDCAN bus. I am capable of writing to the TxFifo and can communicate with an external device in external loop back mode and normal mode. In external and Internal Loop Back Mode, nothing is written to the RxFifo. I am trying to use the board as a receiver not a transmitter. Are there any examples of FDCAN Rx communication with an external device using the STM32U5A9NJH6Q chip. When using CubeMX, there isn't any options for setting RxFifo elements in FDCAN configuration. Does this mean this board cannot be used a reciever, and only can transmit.

What I am trying to accomplish:I have a old dimmer rack that is used just for decoration but is also a really cool piece of film history. As a project to learn more about embedded development I wanted to make it more interesting to look at. It has nine incandescent indicator lights that I am switching over to nine white LEDs that are being driven by a nine channel LED driver (LP55231) via a STM32G0 to create interesting lighting sequences.I would like to have nine different LED lighting sequences, all pretty basic like a simple chase from one side to the other, or fading up and down all the LEDs at once, etc. I want to be able to switch between the different lighting sequences by flipping a different switch and have that lighting sequence associated with the switch repeat indefinitely until another switch is turned on or off. The switches them selves are an old school blade type switch so it would either be high or low.I am having a hard time figuring out how to structure my
