Solved

Hi,Some time ago I wrote a software with some changes from this library and successfully tested it with the STEVAL-FKI868V1 board and a ST board (STM32F779 EVAL).Now I made my own hardware with a little changes in the microcontroller pins. Communication with the S2-LP via SPI works and I can read and write data to the S2-LP registers. The problem I am facing is that when I send the command "S2LPCmdStrobeTx();" for sending data over the air, I expect that pin 23 of S2LP (GPIO3) goes low like with STEVAL-FKI868V1 Board, but no reaction can be seen in this pin.To make sure the software works, I removed S2-LP chip from my board and connected the SPI lines and  required GPIO of STEVAL-FKI868V1 to my board with wire and saw that the software works correctly with that Board. The question is why the S2-LP won't give me the Interrupt on my board.I also attached the schematic. Thanks for help or suggestions.

I've taken over this project that is using the STM32h755 CPU. The software is not currently using the Cortex-M4 processor inside the chip. I'm reworking the software so that it will be able to use it sometime in the future. But, until then, I was hoping to "turn off" the M4 to save power.I think there is something about disabling the clocks in the RCC register for the M4 cpu. But, uncertain as if that is the propery way to go about this.I could references to software or places in the documentation.Thanks.

I am currently using STM32CubeIDE and want to input an external sine wave. The signal has a voltage of 2.6V and a frequency of 10kHz, and I am using DMA + TIM + ADC. The following is the screenshot of my settings. Currently, I can only capture the peak value of 2.6V, and this is only achievable when the ADC Sampling Time is set to 480 Cycles. With a lower number of cycles, I can only get lower values. Please help me resolve this issue, thank you! DMA:   ADC:   TIM: Clock Configuration: Below is my code: ///////////////ADC//////////////// int test = 0; uint32_t lastTick = 0; uint16_t ADC_Value[4095] = {0}; float ADC_MaxValue = 0; float ADC_MinValue = 0; int count = 0; double ADC_Value_Sum = 0; int ADC_Value_AVG = 0; float clock_AVG = 0; uint16_t max_value = 0; uint16_t min_value = 0; char buffer[20]; HAL_TIM_Base_Start(&htim2); /* USER CODE BEGIN WHILE */ while (1) { if (uart_received) { uart_received = 0; if (uart_command == 'A') { check

I am using NUCLEO_F401RE + X-NUCLEO-IKS4A1 with MEMS Studio software. X-NUCLEO-IKS4A1 offers multiple various bus configurations, including the sensor hub mode for LSM6DSO16IS.However, only in standard I2C mode can we establish the connection in MEMS Studio. If using the sensor hub mode, there will be WHO_AM_I warning and connection cannot be setup. The issue doesn't appear in Unicleo-GUI since we can disable the sensor affected, but in MEMS Studio, the option cannot be changed.

I am using the VL53L5CX to measure the water level of a sewer tank. More info about geometry setup and environment further down or here.I need to range from 0.5 to 2 meters and am also dependent on further lateral measurements than just the center spads. Therefore I need the 8x8 pixel matrix. It looks like I do not get any signal (checked the kcps/spads signal strength) beyond roughly 0.7 meters. I was able to measure distances beyond 2 meters at home, pointing the sensor to a white wall.I therefore was wondering if there are any settings in the sensor that I can use to increase the range? I do not need a high sensing frequency. I know its a demanding job to measure water levels. But I want to get the most out of it. The setup, pictures and detailed information can be found here: Github pageIn general:- dark, concrete circular container (1.5m wide x 2.2m deep- water is dirty, hopefully more reflective than clear water- view of center spads are blocked by walls, dividing t

Hi,Does anyone know why I cannot change 0x3 to 0 of ST_RAM_SIZE at STM32H743?

I take a photo with ov2640 camera. I try to send this photo with zigbee protocol from router to coordinator. I achive this but there is a problem. After I send a photo the communication is locked totally and I can't send any data.Does zigbee protocal support to send this big data that I try to send?

I am looking for some overview on my custom STM32H747 PCB design - mainly that my schematic for the power supply and VCAP etc. are correct  The board is to be powered by SMPS.All comments welcome!

Hi,I am trying to read data in continuous mode from the LIS2MDL on a personal board with the help of the exemple(https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STMems_Standard_C_drivers/tree/master/lis2mdl_STdC/examples) and driver (https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/lis2mdl-pid/tree/56a8a1ddb1bd21d98151372b5fa4f48ffa9e1a39).I am able to retrieve the ID of the chip and configure it in continous mod.But the problem is that the data ready register always return 0x00.

Hello,I have a project which demands the device to work in ultra low power mode. I have opted STM32L4R9AI mcu for this project. The problem is i have a spi based lcd display and i need to display the content constantly without flicker even in low power mode. How can i achieve this. Can anyone please help me.Thanks

After updating CubeIDE to V1.16.0, I get an error like "Data mismatch found at address 0x08001000 (byte = 0xFF instead of 0x0E)" and cannot complete the debugger. This error text was obtained from the Internet with similar symptoms, except for the address number, etc.I have tried all the solutions available on the Internet, but none of them worked. I also installed and tried CubeIDE released in the past, but it did not work. Before the update, I was able to complete the debugger reliably.Development Environment CubeIDE V1.15.1 or V1.16.0ST Link V3MINIE

Dear ST Community,I’ve been working with the ST25 DV4KC-I NFC tag to transfer firmware for our product, but I’m encountering persistent issues with larger firmware files. Here’s the process I followed: I use the ST25 NFC Tap Android App to select the NFC tag and navigate to ST25DV Demonstrations → FTM Demos. When I initiate a firmware update with a smaller file (around 25 KB), the transfer completes successfully, and our bootloader processes the file without any issues. However, when I try to send a larger firmware file (~ 200KB), the transmission consistently fails between 35,000 and 45,000 bytes. The app logs the error "No response received," and the transmission halts around 50 seconds to 1 minute into the process. For the last 10 seconds, no data is transferred before timing out. Both the phone and tag remain stationary throughout.I’ve tested this issue on multiple Samsung devices, but the problem persists. The smaller files transfer without any issues, so this seems to be size-relat

Hello,   I asked this several times, with no avail so long, lets try another time: E.g. "https://www.st.com/en/microcontrollers-microprocessors/stm32-32-bit-arm-cortex-mcus/documentation.html"sorts the documents alphanumerical by their name. In most cases not very usefull. There are up and down arrows right to "Latest update", but regardless if you click up or down, now sorting is with oldest first, Only a second click on any of the two arrow sorts by newest first. This is what returning user wants to see: What document has changed. And for a new visitor, all three sorting manner have no avail. => Make sort by newest the default!   Thanks

Keil (among others) allows the choice of whether to do a full or partial erase before programming:Is it possible to do that in STM32CubeIDE ?If so, how ?

I'm using TouchGFX version 4.24.1 with external flash memory mapping at address 0x90000000.When using the original image, there are no issues. However, when using the compressed RGB565 function, a tearing effect appears on the LCD screen. If I disable 'SCB_EnableDCache()', the issue is resolved. Therefore, I believe that 'TouchGFXGeneratedHal::InvalidateCache()' is not properly invalidating the decompression bufferIs there a solution for this?If I disable 'SCB_EnableDCache()', will it have a significant impact on display performance?"

I am trying to use DWM1000 for ranging as well as communication but I am unable to do it . I debugged the code and Know that Initiator is sending data but is not being heard . The Rx buffer in responder is geting updated by random values.I have attached the code to both here . Hello,I'm trying to build a simulator on Linux x64 platform. But unfortunately, getting a weird error.  /usr/bin/ld: ../Middlewares/ST/touchgfx/lib/linux/libtouchgfx.a(AbstractPartition.o): relocation R_X86_64_32 against symbol `_ZTVN8touchgfx17AbstractPartitionE' can not be used when making a PIE object; recompile with -fPIE /usr/bin/ld: failed to set dynamic section sizes: bad value  Seems that library was not compiled with -fPIC. Or, I'm doing something wrong.TouchGFX v4.24.1Please help with this.

I have to work on a project that includes an accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer. For the first two, I would like to use the LSM6DSV16X sensor, but I haven't yet chosen a magnetometer.1) Do you have any recommendations for one that would work well with the LSM6DSV16X?2) Is it possible to synchronize the sampling between the LSM6DSV16X and the magnetometer?

Hi All,I am currently working on the CAN normal mode in a custom board with MCU STM32F098RCT6 and CAN transceiver TJA1042. Very first I tried the loopback mode and it was successful. Then I am now trying to interface two custom boards using the normal mode. But there is no output. Please give some insight about this. Here is the code: #include "main.h" /* Private includes ----------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN Includes */ /* USER CODE END Includes */ /* Private typedef -----------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN PTD */ /* USER CODE END PTD */ /* Private define ------------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN PD */ /* USER CODE END PD */ /* Private macro -------------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN PM */ /* USER CODE END PM */ /* Private variables ---------------------------------------------------------*/ CAN_HandleTypeDe

Background: most of our development so far has been with AVR and cmd line based, using make files for testing. We only ever used IDE's for compiling for target and uploading: Arduino IDE for prototyping with bootloader and MpLab without bootloader for production hardware. We are now transitioning some hardware to STM32 and plan to do any new developments on that platform. The issue we are running into is that the integration of all hardware initialisation in the main.c file is different from the existing code: libraries with hardware interaction have all platform-specific code in separate c/h files. For example, a module that uses EE may have a writeEE and readEE function that are defined in 2 separate c files, e.g. atTiny402EE.c and atMegaEE.c. On an STM32 without internal EE, we will use external EE, so we will need functions that are in must cases only wrappers around HAL_I2C_Mem_Read(), etc.My question is: where should this live? inside the main.c file? : I prefer not, bec

Hi there, just found out, that there's a severe bug in STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.11.2, file stm32h7xx_hal_ospi.c at line 1599 (Function HAL_OSPI_Receive_DMA), which prevents the OSPI DMA Receive mode from working correctly:   /* Enable the transmit MDMA Channel */ if (HAL_MDMA_Start_IT(hospi->hmdma, (uint32_t)pData, (uint32_t)&hospi->Instance->DR, hospi->XferSize, 1) == \ HAL_OK) This code seems to be copied from the HAL_OSPI_Transmit_DMA function and should read  /* Enable the receive MDMA Channel */ if (HAL_MDMA_Start_IT(hospi->hmdma, (uint32_t)&hospi->Instance->DR, (uint32_t)pData, hospi->XferSize, 1) == \ HAL_OK) for the HAL_OSPI_Receive_DMA function.Best regards, Heino

I followed the tutorial above to use the NUCLEO STM32WB55 USB Dongle. When I insert the USB Dongle to my PC, the Device Manager shows an 'unknown device' instead of the normal COM port. While when I connect the NUCLEO WB55 board, the Device Manager can show a COM port. (The PC system is WIN10 22H2 64bit.)The USB Dongle can be programmed with the STM32Cubeprogrammer and can connect to the WB55 board (The LED can flash synchronously). So, it seems that the USB Dongle is OK, just can`t be recognized by the Device Manger.Should I install a driver for the USB Dongle? I have searched the driver on the ST official website, but no one found. Can anyone tell me where the driver, or help me to fix the problem?Really thanks!!

Posted on February 16, 2017 at 07:28      1>> We understand thatSTM32F769 DCMI(Digital Camera interface) is able to process YCbCr 4:2:2 and RGB 565. We could see sample camera program in STM32Cube with video input as RGB 565 format to DCMI module and displaying  on LCD with RGB888 format. But we are not able to find sample program with YCbCr 4:2:2.  Can anyone please share sample program/related document to test YCbCr 4:2:2 input to the DCM and displaying on LCD.  2.As we know that the IDE/work bench like IAR and Keil has license concerns, we would like to know the suggestion from ST regarding the Free workbench/IDE available for STM32Cube code compilation for STM32F769I-EVAL board.   Thanks,Utpal

I have the NUCLEO-G432RB, which has the STM32G431RB MCU. The datasheet states that the MCU could operate in different ranges to reduce power consumption. For my application, I need to know how much power the MCU consumes, so connecting a multimeter to JP6 (IDD) allowed me to monitor the current consumption. However, I do not know how to make the MCU operate in different ranges to observe the change in the current consumption. First I thought that selecting the range required selecting the frequency (f HCLK) only. However, there are common frequencies between ranges 1 and 2.If anyone knows how to handle this issue please inform me.Note that I am using STM Cube IDE to program the MCU.

Hi, I did a code to select which channel I want to enable in operation according to some parameters when I start the ADC configuration and TMR.I have the ADC2 with ch5 and ch10, this work fine, both channels, or only 1 of them.On ADC1 I have ch2 and ch15, both work fine, only ch15 also, but only ch2 I'm getting strange values on the buffer, more or less 4 times less than what's supposed to be.Someone have any idea of what's happening?Thank you! void start_TMR_ADC_DMA(void){ // Reinitialize the ADCs to start fresh MX_ADC1_Init(); // Reinitialize ADC1 MX_ADC2_Init(); // Reinitialize ADC2 ADC_ChannelConfTypeDef sConfig = {0}; // Variables to count the number of active ADC channels uint8_t adc1_num_channels = 0; uint8_t adc2_num_channels = 0; // Configure ADC1 channels based on global variables if (adc1_channel_2 == 1) { // Enable ADC1 Channel 2 sConfig.Channel = ADC_CHANNEL_2; sConfig.Rank = ADC_REGULAR_RANK_1; sConfig.SamplingTime = ADC_SAMPLETIME_16CYCLES_5; sConfi
