Hi,My RAM_D1 is almost full, mainly because of LTDC frame buffer, etc., I need to use RAM_D2 and RAM_D3 for my variables, arrays and other staff. I am using RTOS CMSIS v2.There are a few posts about using RAM_D2 and RAM_D3 in H743, in the forum, but all of them are about solving specific problems or about completing a missing configuration lines, etc. But these don't make any sense for the people, like me, who even don't know where to start, what has to be done, for what...As I understood from the previous posts; it is neither a straightforward procedure, nor a basic thing to configure in the MX, for example. (don't even understand why... If RAM_D1 is usable without doing anything, why I can't just use other RAMs? They are put in the hardware for what, if it is "nearly impossible" to properly configure to use? :) ) What I would like to know; is there a document which explains what to do to use RAM_D2 and RAM_D3, step-by-step, from the beginning to the end? Otherwise those pieces o

Hi,I am trying to connect to a STM32H523RET MCU via SWD using a J-link Debugger (CubeProgrammer v2.17.0).Reading the Product ID fails, so I get asked to select the MCU manually.Unfortunately the list does not contain any STM32H52x MCU But when I am trying to connect via Jlink - Commander I can find der MCU in the list and also connect to it:Does anybody have an idea, why I can't find the MCU in the list when using the CubeProgrammer? Thanks for any hints.RegardsJohn

Hi, I hope someone can help me with this.I am using STM32CubeProgrammer 2.16.0 with an NUCLEO-H563ZI and Ubuntu 23.10. Programming, reading Registers seems to work. STM32CubeProg halts or runs my running or halted MCU approx every second depending on the mode Setting of the ST-LINK, no matter what state the MCU was before. The Problem happens with the already preinstalled SW or my own SW. ST-Link Firmwareversion on the NUCLEO Board got updated to V3j13M4  With mode HOTPLUG it halts, reads PC, and continues execution. Independent whether the CPU was halted or running before.with mode NORMAL it halts the core and reads PC, after that leaves the MCU halted, Independent whether the CPU was halted or running before. When i set Verbosity level to 3 i get following log:01:22:23:952 : r ap 1 @0x40022050 0x00000004 bytes Data 0x2D30EDF801:22:23:952 : r ap 1 @0x40022070 0x00000004 bytes Data 0xC300017C01:22:23:952 : r ap 1 @0x40022050 0x00000004 bytes Data 0x2D30EDF801:22

Hello,On STM32CubeProgrammer CLI v2.15.0 the below command was working fine and erasing the EEPROM of my STM32L151.STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe -c port=SWD -e ed1> Erase sector(s) ...> Existing specified sectors are erased successfully> Protected sectors are not erasedWith the new v2.17.0 the same command give me the following error:Error: You are performing erase operation but you are missing to indicate the sectors you want to erase, Please refer to the help for more details on the Erase command parametres.I checked the documentation and release notes and I did not find any changes in the CLI about my MPU.What's wrong?

I expected to connect my PC to a nucleo STM32H743ZI2 board via a USB isolator (Linear technology) but failed. While, I can connect to the nucleo board directly without isolator and programme it. Beside, the PC can recognize the STLink from nucleo board correctly, which means the device can be found in the 'Device Manager'. Using zephyr openOCD for flashing the code but getting below error Error: libusb_open() failed with LIBUSB_ERROR_NOT_SUPPORTEDError: libusb_open() failed with LIBUSB_ERROR_NOT_SUPPORTEDError: read version failedin procedure 'init' I also tried with IAR IDE but not getting code flash and also debug default terminal is also hang after some time    I'm wondering what's wrong, anyone can help? Many thanks

Hello everyone,I was trying to design a Hyperbus RAM based PCB for one of my projects but I realized that when I configure Hyperbus under the OCTOSPI1 settings I do not get the DQS(RWDS) line. Here are the configuration pictures.  Thanks,Burak Önemli

Hello ALL.I am reading this from the ST25DV04KC datasheet:"During the internal write cycle, the device disconnects itself from the bus, and writes a copy of the data from itsinternal latches to the memory cells. The maximum I²C write time (tw) is shown in Table 251. I²C ACcharacteristics up to 85 °C and Table 252. I²C AC characteristics up to 125 °C, but the typical time is shorter."The value of I²C write time in Table 251 is ~5 ms.I wrote a test function, which writes a 16-byte array to the user memory and tries to read it back. I really see that if the delay between writing and reading is about 800 us, reading fails because I don't get ACK. It works if I write and read e.g. from two separate console commands. Are my observations right, and is it really necessary to wait for ~5ms or do ACK polling tests or do I have a bug in my code? Thanks.

Hello,I would like to trigger a STM32 device reset from inside STM32CubeMonitor.I'm developing an application using STM32CubeIDE and STM32CubeMonitor. Duringe measuring of my variables via STM32CubeMonitor it is possible that my device gets into a reduced function safe state (on purpose). Then it would be very helpful to trigger a device reset via a button like I'm able to do during debugging in STM32CubeIDE.I understand currently only the topics: Read, Start and Stop are available for a probe-node. Is it possible to trigger a reset via additional (maybe undocumented) options or is this feature planned in a future release? If not is there a workaround available? I tried to connect to the GDB server opened by the probe-node after starting the acquisition but wasn't successful. As far as a saw it, the server is always opend on a different port?!. Thank youBest regardsMartin

I´m tying to load and example project for my nfc kit, which if formed by nucleo-G431RBT board with 25r3916B (nucleo-nfc08A1). I only find projects for another nucleos, so i try to star a new STM32 project (STM32 Cube 1.8.0)starting from my nucleo board as the following picture. After create the project I selected the correct nfc library to my nfc nucleo in .ioc window as the following steps:Then, i fill all the options to generate the code, however, there are some gaps that can´t be filled (found solutions of bsp api)After generate the code, i try to build all code to ensure that there´s no problem, but appers two files that are called but they are not been generated, i don´t know the meaning of them or if they have to be created by other way.On the other hand I also try to load an example project from STM32 for nucleo G0b1reafter build this, i don´t have any problem, but when i debug this obviously the program failed because my nucleo is different. The 7z file is the proyect with

I get a multiple definition error for every variable declared inside a .h file after updating from CubeIDe 1.8.0 to 1.9.0. The previous CubeMX version was 6.3.0 and now it is 6.5.0. Before updating there would be no errors while building the code. The .h file has the header guards generated by the IDE. Is there any way to fix this?

Used STM32CubeIDE version: 1.15.1Used driver library: STM32Cube_FW_G0_V1.6.2, LowLevel-DriversMicrocontroller STM32G070xx   I found a bug in the generated MX_ADC1_Init() function. The delay loop index variable misses the volatile keyword. Consequently with optimization turned on the loop is optimized away and the delay is shorter than expected. This may lead to unexpected ADC errors, for example if the calibration is performed directly after MX_ADC1_Init(). void MX_ADC1_Init(void) { ... /* Enable ADC internal voltage regulator */ LL_ADC_EnableInternalRegulator(ADC1); /* Delay for ADC internal voltage regulator stabilization. */ /* Compute number of CPU cycles to wait for, from delay in us. */ /* Note: Variable divided by 2 to compensate partially */ /* CPU processing cycles (depends on compilation optimization). */ /* Note: If system core clock frequency is below 200kHz, wait time */ /* is only a few CPU processing cycles. */ volatile uint32_t wait_loop_index; // &l

I'm trying to get Ethernet working with STM32F765VIH MCU and developing using Keil MicroVision and CubeMX 6.11.1When setting up CubeMX I'm seeing warning message that RAM needs to point to 0x24000000 for ethernet to work.I don't see an option for setting ETH RX Buffer Address like in previous versions of CubeMX. Has this been renamed or moved somewhere else.

Datasheet tells that STM32F398xE has 16 kB CCM RAM, but  STM32F398VETx.xml DBVersion="V3.0" does not list the CCM Ram. Please correct!

Hi,I am using STM32F105RC. CubeMX does not seem to configure PLL2 at all in SystemClock_Config(). Below in the clock configurator it is clear that I have enabled PLL2 to be used for PLLCLK and USB clock.Seems like a CubeMX bug. Or if someone can point me to what I am doing wrong that would be appreciated. void SystemClock_Config(void) { RCC_OscInitTypeDef RCC_OscInitStruct = {0}; RCC_ClkInitTypeDef RCC_ClkInitStruct = {0}; RCC_PeriphCLKInitTypeDef PeriphClkInit = {0}; /** Initializes the RCC Oscillators according to the specified parameters * in the RCC_OscInitTypeDef structure. */ RCC_OscInitStruct.OscillatorType = RCC_OSCILLATORTYPE_HSE; RCC_OscInitStruct.HSEState = RCC_HSE_ON; RCC_OscInitStruct.HSEPredivValue = RCC_HSE_PREDIV_DIV5; RCC_OscInitStruct.HSIState = RCC_HSI_ON; RCC_OscInitStruct.Prediv1Source = RCC_PREDIV1_SOURCE_PLL2; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLState = RCC_PLL_ON; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLSource = RCC_PLLSOURCE_HSE; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLMUL = RCC_PL

Hi - I am new to the STM32CubeIDE - moving from Attolic.I have created a new STM32 project using STM32CubeIDE 1.9.0 for a STM32L151VET6 using New Project. Our board is built to use an internal oscillator. I can try to debug the basically empty new created project or add just a for loop in the while(1) in main() and either way it immediately stops on Hardfault_Handler. In the Fault Analyzer :X Bus, memory management or usage fault (FORCED)X Imprecise data access violation (IMPRECISER)X Stacking error (STKERR)I have set a breakpoint on the while(1) and on the for loop inside it and neither are ever hit.I believe I have set the pins in the IOC to match my board ( UART, SPI, GPIO )Any suggestions on how to proceed ?Thanks!

Hi everyone, I am using the STM32U5G9J-DK2 board and have generated the USB Video Class (UVC) code using CubeMX. However, I am new to both this board and UVC, and I am facing difficulties in understanding how to proceed further. I couldn't find any specific examples or resources related to UVC implementation for this board. If anyone has already worked on UVC with this board or has any example code, it would be a great help. Looking forward to your responses! Thank you in advance.

Hello,How can I add the [-Wenum-conversion] warning check? If I check the "Warn for implicit conversion (-Wconsersion) I have many warnings from ST originated files (stm32l4xx.h) so I can not use this option....Best regardsMich

Moved from https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/stm32-arduino-stm32duino-tutorial/ta-p/49649 After you have finished the arduino project, how do you then remove everything from the MCU and use it again for normal STM32 projects in CubeMX and so on?

I have developed a custom board with an STM32G474RE controller. Since the controller only features FDCAN, I am using it in normal mode. Connected to this is a CAN controller (not FD). Sending and receiving messages work without any issues. However, as several nodes will be connected to the bus later, I use extended IDs and want to filter the received messages using a mask, as some information is encoded bitwise in the identifier. The controller should only react to messages intended for it. Unfortunately, I can't get the filters to work. I must be doing something wrong or misunderstanding something. I created a very simple program to upload here. I would expect that when receiving, FilterIndex 0 allows the data through. But it is always Filter 63. When I set HAL_FDCAN_ConfigGlobalFilter, nothing happens in the HAL_FDCAN_RxFifo0Callback, which makes sense in that case. The CAN is configured in FDCAN_MODE_INTERNAL_LOOPBACK for testing. Even when I configure the filter like this, FilterIn

Hi Why do STM32 microcontrollers that support MIPI not have speeds of 480 MHz or higher?

Hi,I'm thinking what is the right way to clear HRTIM interrupt status register (HRTIM_ISR) bits?In the description of the HRTIM_ISR register STM32G4 reference manual (RM0440 Rev 8 page 1041) says: This bit is set by hardware when fault 1 event occurs. It is cleared by software writing it at 1.This gives the impression that you can clear HRTIM_ISR bits by writing to this register (HRTIM_ISR)Then again bits of this register are read only ('r')?Then we also have HRTIM interrupt clear register (HRTIM_ICR) (RM0440 Rev 8 page 1042) where we have separate bits to clear HRTIM_ISR bits. So, which is the right way to clear HRTIM_ISR bits? Or can you clear these bits both ways?

Hello,I'm trying to generate a custom PWM output signal with the F103V8TxLQFP100. I took inspiration from here: Custom Signal generation using PWM and DMA - STMicroelectronics CommunityThe basic code looks like this:...uint8_t tempBuffer[10];tempBuffer[0] = 80;tempBuffer[1] = 70;tempBuffer[2] = 60;tempBuffer[3] = 50;tempBuffer[4] = 40;tempBuffer[5] = 30;tempBuffer[6] = 40;tempBuffer[7] = 50;tempBuffer[8] = 60;tempBuffer[9] = 0;(void)htim1.Instance->DIER;while (1){HAL_Delay(500);__HAL_TIM_SET_COUNTER(&htim1, 0);HAL_TIM_PWM_Start_DMA(&htim1,TIM_CHANNEL_1,(uint32_t*)tempBuffer,10);/* USER CODE END WHILE *//* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */}...htim1.instance->ARR = 89;I modified HAL_TIM_PWM_Start_DMA() to enable the TIM update DMA request:__HAL_TIM_ENABLE_DMA(htim, TIM_DMA_UPDATE);I did this because with the trigger on capture compare I got multiple capture compare events in one timer period, when the compare values are assending (30, 40, 50,60).My problem now is: It does
