Hello,if you are using macOS and STM32CubeIDE and need it productively you should currently refrain updating your macOS. Due to a bug in Eclipse (https://github.com/eclipse-platform/eclipse.platform.swt/issues/2621) text selection does no more work via dragging your mouse or using shift+arrows. There is already a fix but STM32CubeIDE does not provide the fix as update as of now.I already filed a case.

We have recently updated to the latest STM32CubeMX 6.17 and then STMCubeMX 6.18 and noticed in both versions that the internal temperature sensor is mis-reading (by something like 100x).Previously the project was reading the temperature correctly (STMCubeMX 6.14 or 6.15 not sure exactly).I have checked that all the ADC3 settings are the same and there are no changes causing by migrating the .IOC project.I’ve also checked the TSEN and VREFEN are enabled in ADC3_CCR. The value is 0x00C00000.Before I invest a lot of time rolling back to the old STM32CubeMX version and investigating what changed that broke the ADC3 internal temperature reading I’m hoping that this is known issue with the latest STM32CubeMX?STM32CubeMX generated code: /** Common config */ hadc3.Instance = ADC3; hadc3.Init.ClockPrescaler = ADC_CLOCK_ASYNC_DIV1; hadc3.Init.Resolution = ADC_RESOLUTION_12B; hadc3.Init.ScanConvMode = ADC_SCAN_ENABLE; hadc3.Init.EOCSelection = ADC_EOC_SINGLE_CONV; hadc3.Init.LowPowerAutoW

Hello wonderful ST Community! Before I get into the question, a bit of background on this project. I'm creating a button panel HID gaming device for the space sim Elite Dangerous. Using its somewhat limited API I'm hoping to feed info about the game state back to a 9 inch screen on the HID device through USB CDC running composite with HID. Before I start getting into hardware dev I want to create a sim of the GUI to test two things:- size of display needed to show what I want to show- getting data out of the game (will be done with a USB CDC app/driver/python (I have not quite got this far) running on the host computer)It would be amazing to test these two aspects using the GFX simulator. I known it's theoretically possible to send data through some medium such as sockets but how does this work in practice? Is there some good documentation around how the simulator works and how I can feed data into my sims?I've been investigating using VSCode since GFX already has compatibility, but how

I would like to clarify the data constraints for Benchmark workflow in NanoEdge AI Studio:What is the maximum supported number of lines for each imported CSV dataset during Benchmark? Is there any official documented hard limit on the number of rows, or only practical recommendations? Some community references mention a rough threshold of ~100,000 lines, and files exceeding this size may cause memory overflow, import truncation or failed Benchmark launch. Could you confirm whether this threshold is formally defined?

Hi, looking to power the NUCLEO-F767ZI off another board (which has a TPSM843320 buck), any issues with this as the 5V rail (E5V), on the dev board you have LD1117 LDO, but the rail I can provide isn’t high enough for the dropout.  Any spec on ripple or how clean the E5V rail should be? Seems to only be used by STLINK and USB.

The HTS221 is marked as Obsolete, and the only suggested alternative is SHT40-AD1B - a 3rd-party device. Has ST abandoned this product area?

Hello everyone,I'm working on an application using a motor with a nominal speed of 1850 rpm and a nominal current of 4.1 A. The motor operates within a speed range of 300 to 800 rpm, and I'm looking to implement stable and efficient speed regulation.I have already imported my project into MC Workbench and configured the following parameters: Current configuration:Speed sensing mode:Speed Sensor Mode: Hall SensorSpeed regulator:Execution Rate: 1 msTarget Speed: 648 rpmAuto Calculate Kp & Ki: enabledKp ≈ 14.96Ki ≈ 0.0105Maximum speed error before fault: 3Current regulators (Torque/Flux):Execution Time: 50 µsControl Mode: Speed controlCut-off frequency: 6000 rad/sAuto Calculate Torque/Flux Kp & Ki: enabledIq (Torque) Regulator:Target: from speed regulatorKp ≈ 7.62Ki ≈ 0.326Id (Flux) Regulator:Target: 0 AKp ≈ 7.62Ki ≈ 0.326Modulation:Selected modulation: NonePWM and current sensing:PWM frequency: 20 kHzCurrent sensing gain: 21Measurement rang

After I updated to CubeMX Version 6.18.0 (and newer CPU firmware pack 1.13 but this one not related to issue) I opened my older project and migrated to newer version. As a result I got error on Clock Configuration Page (see pic.1).pic.1I saved project and checked if anything changed... I did not hound any changed, but versions (see pics. 2 and 3) pic.2pic.3So, I downloaded older version 6.17.0 and there is no such issue. See pic.4 and pic.5 shows RCC block config. pic.4pic.5 RCC block config

Error downloading crdb.zipI have tried on both STM32CubeMX 6.18.0 and STM32CubeIde 18.1. Attempting on MacOS(Intel)Tried changing proxy server type to “Use System Proxy Server” Tried different networks. Tried removing cache directories. Tried deleting crdb.zip Previous posts mention downloading (http://xsel.stmcufinder.com/refresh/v2/crdb.zip) manually - appears to be a server issue?Any help appreciated… thanks

Dear STM Engineer, thank You very much for Your great effort  for the new STM32V8. My comments on the features after looking into stm32v8-presentation.pdf: - STM32V8 will have a ETH-Gb-MAC with PTP, that is great news for applications in the field of scientific instrumentation. -- I am missing PTP-Timestamp-capture-peripherals to generate PTP-precise timestamp input-pulse captures on external events. So triggered by one GPIO input-pulse-edges  (or better several logic-combined GPIOs, at least two to have one "gating), a timestamp (64 Bit or more?) should be stored, including in its timestamp-word at least two (better four or more) GPIO Input-states: state high/low AND edge falling/rising. We would need as many as possible of these PTP-Timestamp-capture-peripherals as possible, e.x. 16 or more of them per MC. Would You consider to include such PTP-Timestamp-capture-peripherals into STM32V8? - -  I am missing PTP-output-pulse-peripherals to generate PTP

Figure 14 - Operating modes transition diagram - does not show it: and neither does Table 16 - Operating modes transition criteria: The description of the “reset mechanism” doesn’t really relate to the above state diagram or table:

Hello ST Community, I noticed that when using the benchmarking tool, datasets larger than 250 MB are automatically reduced using a "representative sampling strategy" that preserves the diversity and distribution of the original data. I would like to understand more details about this process: 1. What specific sampling algorithm/strategy is used? (e.g., random sampling,    stratified sampling, systematic sampling, etc.) 2. How is the target size of 250 MB determined? Is this configurable? 3. How does the tool ensure that the sampled dataset preserves:   - The original data distribution?   - The diversity of data samples?   - Edge cases and boundary values? 4. After optimization, when we validate the model on the full dataset, what    performance differences should we typically expect between the sampled    dataset and the full dataset? 5. Is there any documentation that describes this sampling mechanism in detail? Any information or pointers to relevant documentation would be greatly ap

I am using an LPS22DF over I2C with an STM32WB5MMG. The sensor is configured for continuous 1 Hz operation, AVG = 64, LPF1 = ODR/4, and continuous dynamic-stream FIFO mode. FIFO samples are retrieved as separate three-byte reads from registers 0x78–0x7A.The first FIFO read after every watermark interrupt is consistently corrupted by approximately +32 hPa. For example, the first value may be raw 4130956 (1008.534 hPa), while the following values are approximately raw 3999700 (976.49 hPa) and agree closely with the standard PRESS_OUT registers. The difference is close to 131072 counts, corresponding to bit 17 of the 24-bit pressure value. This occurs repeatedly for every FIFO batch, not only during startup or LPF settling.  Our operational workaround is to set the FIFO watermark to 11, read eleven three-byte data sets individually, discard the first result, and average the remaining ten. Is this first-read corruption a known LPS22DF behavior or erratum? Is there a required FIFO read sequ

Hi,Using the STM32G431 in PGA mode vs in standalone mode (external resistor network for Gain), I am getting different noise levels on the final output (measured using ADC).The noise generated in PGA mode is twice as big as in standalone mode. What could be the reason?I expect a change in gain due to the tolerance specified in the datasheet, but did not expect the noise level to increase. Note - I tested with multiple combinations for external gain (100R and 1k5, 1k and 15k, 10k and 150k) to reach 16 gain. All the three resulted in similar noise level. Hence, thermal noise could not be the reason is what I assume, in case of PGA. Is some other effect taking presedence here?

Hi ST Community,I'm using an external precision voltage reference connected to the VREF+ pin of the STM32G474.I would like to know:What is the minimum output current capability required for the external VREF source? Is there any specification for the average or peak current drawn from the VREF+ pin during ADC conversions? Does the required current depend on the ADC sampling rate, the number of ADCs operating simultaneously, or the sampling time? I couldn't find a clear specification for the VREF+ input current in the datasheet or reference manual.Any explanation or recommendation would be greatly appreciated.Thank you!

Connected an USB microphone to an H743 as host and it streams mic audio perfectly at 48 KHz for around 5 seconds then the data freezes.SOF is still being called as is AudioHost_IsoDataReadyISR() from the STM IRQ driver, DMA is running (its set to use DMA, I tried without but same behaviour), but the same 96 bytes are transfered every uS: I can clear the receive buffer but it gets refilled with the same data.  Attempts to re-init the pipes etc etc fail to restore streaming. Also, any pause in the servicing of the call to AudioHost_IsoDataReadyISR() results in exactly the same repeat data arriving. This is my own code based on STM’s examples, as I said it runs perfectly for many seconds, if I unplug the microphone it runs again when plugged back in for the same good few seconds. Is there an approved way to restore audio streaming without a full reset when there is an occasional timing glitch in servicing the AudioHost_IsoDataReadyISR() call?

I have an STM32WBA data logging project loosely based on the BLE heart rate project. I sync the RTC via either a BLE message, or NTP from a serial modem. All good; works well and the RTC timestamp ticks along whilst the code is in stop2 sleep. The device is battery-powered, so power is always present. I initialise the RTC in RTC_BINARY_ONLY mode.I track whether the device has received a time sync by stashing a value in one the the backup registers. When the device is reset by a button on the reset line, the RTC gets set to zero. This is not a problem. However, when the device resets by calling NVIC_SystemReset(), the RTC appears to be 4194304 seconds ahead of where it should be. This is 4096 x 1024 seconds. I set the RTC frequency to 1024, so I'm guessing this is something to do with it? My code can handle this after a reset by setting the RTC back by 4096x1024 seconds. What is a more tricky problem is that if the device has been in stop2 mode, and is then woken and reset by&nbs

Hi Everyone, after enabling RTC for the STM32L432KC in STM32CubeMX (version 6.18.0) RTC_WKUP_IRQn doesn't show up in the CubeMX NVIC panel for this MCU but is present in the vector table. Is that a bug or am I missing something?Best regardsGolfBravoRTC configurationMissing RTC wake-up timer interrupt through EXTI line 20?

I’m working with the NUCLEO-WL33CC2 development board and running ST’s CLI demonstration firmware. My goal is to retrieve raw baseband I/Q samples, but I can’t get any I/Q output using the demonstrator commands, specifically IQDump.  If you’ve successfully extracted I/Q from this board using the stock CLI demo, I’d love to know the exact command sequence and any quirks you ran into. Suggestions welcome on required modes, baud rates, or additional steps I might be missing.

Hello ST Team, I developed a custom USB DFU HOST class on an STM32F446ZE. I soldered a USB-C cable directly to the D+/D-, 5V and GND pins. The Problem: The stack works correctly for transfers up to 128 bytes. However, when I set phost->Control.setup.b.wLength.w > 128 (e.g., 192 bytes) and call USBH_CtlReq, the code enters an infinite loop inside USB_WritePacket. I have traced the execution line-by-line, monitoring the HCTSIZ register values: size (Transfer Size) and cnt (Packet Count). Below is the detailed trace comparing a working 128-byte transfer vs. a failing 192-byte transfer. 1. Successful Scenario: Transferring 128 Bytes Initial State: size = 128, cnt = 2. Loop Iteration 1: i=15: USBx_DFIFO written. Register updates: size = 64, cnt = 2. i=31: USBx_DFIFO written. Register updates: size = 64, cnt = 1. Loop Iteration 2: Initial State: size = 128, cnt = 2. i=15: USBx_DFIFO written. Register updates: size = 64, cnt = 1. i=31: USBx_DFIFO written. Re

We are using Nucleo-F446RE + IHM09M2 + IPMM15B. The offset detection’s progress in Motor Profiler stucks at 7%. We’ve are seeking for possible results. Is it possible for the current at the J4 pin to drop below 0.01A? We observed that the voltage at the J4 pin exceeds 15V, which is higher than the auxiliary power supply's limit. This suggests that the current might have flowed back into the auxiliary power supply.

Hello, I have a TFT LCD display that uses a ST7789v controller. I would like to interface with it using the KMS DRM subsystem in Linux. I have been having issues getting this to work though. So far I have confirmed that the default driver to ST7789v controllers is running, but it only seems to create a drm_panel. I am having trouble creating/linking it to a connector/CRTC/encoder. I have any DBI related options enabled in menuconfig, but I don’t see any way to interface with DBI displays when running modetest. Does anyone have any advice as to what I need to do to get DRM working with this display? Will I need to write my own drivers? I can provide any existing code/devicetree configurations if need be.
