Installed STM32Cubde IDE on my machine and selected my board.I was expecting some of the pins/peripherals are set by default but as shown in the screenshot they are not.How to fix this issue please?

Hello,      I am working with stm32cubeIDE using some NDEF example for nucleo NFC08A1 extension board with st25r3916b rfid reader.    Debugging the demoCycle example I see that the code that should insert a repeat start on I2C communication does nothing(which confirms what I have described in another post about the stm32ube example for it, not being able to read chip id):#ifdef RFAL_USE_I2C static void st25r3916comRepeatStart( void ) { st25r3916I2CRepeatStart(); st25r3916I2CSlaveAddrRD( ST25R3916_I2C_ADDR ); } #endif /* RFAL_USE_I2C */it points some macros but that have nothing associated in rfal_platform.h#define platformI2CRepeatStart() /*!< I2C Repeat Start */ #define platformI2CSlaveAddrWR(add) /*!< I2C Slave address for Write operation */ #define platformI2CSlaveAddrRD(add)  is it expected that the user implements those? Thanks,     Mihai

Hello,I am trying to enable the USB IP DMA mode on an STM32U5A5. Without DMA, I have it working as a USB device and it transmits and receives data without apparent issues. To start using DMA, my understanding is that all I need to do, in CubeMX, is change the "Enable IP DMA" setting for the USB OTG HS peripheral to ENABLED. From there I expect the USB peripheral to take care of itself.Unfortunately, in DMA mode, the device transmits exactly three 512-byte packets and then hangs. In my short test, I request four packets. The fourth one never moves. The PC host receiver never gets the fourth packet. The first three arrive intact. I tried tests where the buffer containing the transmit data is set to  either 512 bytes long, 1024 bytes long or 2048 bytes long. Each test moves 3*512 bytes and stops.[After posting the above, I did some additional tests by breaking the data into small chunks, as small as 4 bytes at time. The magic limit of the number of bytes is about 1700. Every permutati

Inside the QSPI_EnableMemoryMappedMode function, the dummy cycles are MT25TL01G_DUMMY_CYCLES_READ_QUAD_DTR - 1.MT25TL01G_DUMMY_CYCLES_READ_QUAD_DTR is defined as 6U.The datasheet for MT25TL01G states that the DTR QUAD INPUT/OUTPUT FAST READ value is 8. Why is MT25TL01G_DUMMY_CYCLES_READ_QUAD_DTR defined as 6?

Hello,I need to download the STM32Cube FW_L0 V1.12.3 package to start a new project but the connection is impossible. When I click on the "Enter myST account information" on the STM32CubeMX tool there is no action.I did not have any issue to download the STM32CubeMX tool. How can I solve this issue?I am blocked, can I download this package from the web site?Best regardsMich

When I checked the LE Audio unicast operation of the provided project on the STM32WBA55G-DK1, I noticed a strange behavior. For the peripheral, the PAC settings are Sink 2, Src 1, but when I perform QoS Configuration using the following procedure, the notification for the QoS Config of Sink2 is not notified to the central.1. QoS Config Src 1 -> QoS Configuration Notification 2. QoS Config Sink 1 -> QoS Configuration Notification 3. Qos Config Sink 2 -> No Notification Also, for the central, the PAC settings are Src2, Sink1, but for some reason, QoS Config is not executed for Sink even though the peripheral actually supports Sink. From the above behavior of the peripheral and central, I suspect that the implementation is such that QoS settings cannot be set to more than three EPs, or that it cannot be used properly if there is only one EP for both Sink and Src. As for the UI to be output to the LCD,in the case of the central, it seems that only the sending UI is support

Hello.  I have a custom board with F105RCT7. The summary of my problem is the USB interface is not working at all. The computer does not detect anyting. The board is configured as a VCP device. I have a Nucleo-H743ZI-2 board and done some tests with. Now I am doing the exact same tests with my custom board. The fact is that I coppied the USB interface from the schematics of the nucleo board. But later I discovered that there are some differencences between CM7 and CM3 MCUs in terms of HW design. I am sending an SS of the related part of the design. Configuring the MCU as a VPC and transmitting messages over the USB takes only a couple of seconds when you configure everyting in CUBEMX. So I am sure that there is a HW problem. I always worked with CM4 and CM7 MCUs. Even though CM3 is simpler, it is the first time I use it.In the design D+, D- and Vbus pins are corectly connected to the MCU. When I connect the cable, the LED lights up. The board is powered from the USB (so

What does the 'High' optimization  actually do in IAR Embedded Workbench 9.60.3 when the 'Size' option is selected, but no additional optimization checkboxes are enabled. Even without selecting any extra options(like CSE, loop unrolling, etc. ), the code size reduces significantly—up to 30%. How is the  IAR Embedded Workbench 9.60.3 achieving this reduction, and what specific optimizations are being performed in this case.

Hello,I'm currently working on a PCB prototype which uses the ST25R3911B as a front-end. I'm trying to handle multiple antennas in a time-multiplexed manner so i'm using both RFO pins and feeding them to RF switches (PE42421SCAA-Z, around 0.3-0.5 dB insertion loss) to further increase the number of available antennas.I've used the ST25 antenna matching tool and the eDesignSuite as well to get a close match with a 10x10cm pcb antenna (2 turns,3mm traces, 2mm gap). For the first attempt I've managed to get a generous range of 15cm-s with ST25 nfc type 5 tags - matched to 4 Ohms - albeit with a 1 Ohm ESR 240 nH inductor .Using the measure amplitude command I get around 1.4V as result. My question is - would it be possible to increase this range with perhaps a larger single loop antenna and/or better matching? Should I perhaps modify the capacitive voltage divider on the RFI feedback to max out the 3V range - or it wouldn't matter? Or maybe use a lower ESR inductor? The target tags wou

Hi,I a using a NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q on STMCubeide 1.18.0i am trying to use the Timer 1 to capture on the rising edge using the analog to digital converter those are my signals the lase one (pink is my signal that i want to capture at this frequency)those are my IOC settings on the input of the ADC I have an analog signal Syncronised on timer one for capturei try using this Tutorial and only obtain those results:Sample 0: 1184Sample 1: 1160Sample 2: 1187Sample 3: 1116Sample 4: 1170Sample 5: 1146Sample 6: 1176Sample 7: 1188Sample 8: 1168Sample 9: 1187(i an not sure that i am my code for this is #define CCDBuffer 6000 volatile uint16_t CCDPixelBuffer[CCDBuffer]; uint16_t ProcessingBuffer[CCDBuffer]; [...] HAL_TIM_PWM_Start(&htim4, TIM_CHANNEL_1); //sh HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc1, (uint32_t*)CCDPixelBuffer, CCDBuffer); [...] void HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback(ADC_HandleTypeDef *hadc) { // Copier les données du buffer ADC dans le buffer de traitement for (in

Hi! I have a STM32U585 board and I'm trying to make a UART loopback test. I tried two different modes:Asynchronous (Full-Duplex) - wire between the TX and RXSingle-Wire (Half-Duplex) - wire looping to itselfBoth worked in similar ways. I successfully was able to handle 1 byte, so this is the code that worked fine/* USER CODE BEGIN PV */ uint8_t tx = 0; uint8_t rx = 0; /* USER CODE END PV */and inside the main function I hadwhile(1) { printf("Sending byte: %d\r\n", tx); HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart3, &tx, 1, HAL_MAX_DELAY); HAL_UART_Receive(&huart3, &rx, 1, HAL_MAX_DELAY); printf("Received byte: %d\r\n", rx); tx++; HAL_Delay(1000); }I could see in the terminal that it was successfully incrementing both tx and rx variables. Now, it all went wrong when I tried to use an array instead of a single byte. This is what I tried:/* USER CODE BEGIN PV */ uint8_t tx[4] = {0x55, 0x12, 0x00, 0xFF}; uint8_t rx[4] = {0}; /* USER CODE END PV */and the main function hadwhile(1)

Hi, I’m using STM32CubeMX to configure peripherals and IAR Embedded Workbench for debugging. However, I’ve noticed that whenever I regenerate the code using CubeMX, the application code I previously wrote in IAR gets erased. Is there any setting or configuration in CubeMX that prevents it from overwriting my application code when I regenerate code after making configuration changes?

Hi everybody,I'm currently experimenting with an STM32F446. I want to create an HMI.For this, I have a screen (320x240) and a radio module on a boardThe screen is controlled via SPI DMA to download images quickly. The radio module uses two EXTIs to detect the reception of a radio message. When the program starts, and even afterward, I draw images on the screen. But when a message arrives, the EXTI is triggered. If the DMA was transferring data, it crashes. In debug mode, I notice that the program enters an infinite loop without exiting.Do you know why the DMA doesn't finish its task when an EXTI arrives, and especially how I can fix this?I considered turning off the EXTIs during a DMA transfer, but I can't do it.Here is the code that handles the DMA when I draw an image://********************************************************************************************** static void ili9341_Write_Data_DMA(const void *data, uint16_t length) { txComplete = false; HAL_SPI_Transmit_DMA(&hspi1

Subject: Help with USB MSC using USBX + FileX on STM32H573RIT6 (UX_ERROR during host_stack_initialize) Hello ST Community, I'm currently working on a project using the STM32H573RIT6, and I’m relatively new to this STM32H5 series. I’m trying to implement a USB MSC (Mass Storage Class) host using USBX with FileX, and I’m using STM32CubeMX for configuration and STM32CubeIDE for development. Importantly, I’m working without any RTOS – this is a bare-metal (standalone) implementation, so I'm not using ThreadX or any other RTOS. However, I'm encountering an issue during the USBX host stack initialization. Specifically, the function ux_host_stack_initialize() returns UX_ERROR, and based on debugging, it appears to be related to insufficient memory allocation. Here’s what I’ve done so far: Using default USBX and FileX settings in STM32CubeMX. Enabled USB in Host mode and selected the necessary middleware components. No RTOS selected in the project. No changes to heap/memory sizes so fa

The font size used for the GUI in the STLinkUpgrade utility so small it is virtually unreadable on the external 32" 4K monitor that I use with my laptop. The following shows the text size relative to code within the IDE:It's possible that this is as a result of using a 4K screen, as it looks ok when running on the laptop screen:The size stays as above if I then close the lid, even though the external screen then switches back to 4K.

Hi all, So to my surprise, I have issues getting a button press to work in a Lora PingPong sequencer example, and I can't find any relevant posts, so ...The part I'm using WLE5.The ping-pong code is working fine, but I wanted to add a button to start sending from one end, and PA0 was my choice. I have setup the gpio, and falling edge interrupt, and everything works as far as to setting the Pending bit in EXTI/PR1/PIF bit 0 when I press the button. But no interrupt happens. I suppose I must have missed something. But what? The code sits in HAL_PWR_EnterSLEEPMode() -> __WFI() So I think my question is what parts could I have missed? My main suspicion is related to HAL_NVIC_SetPriority() and HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(), which I don't seem to get a hang on. I have tried different arguments (EXTI0_IRQn, EXTI15_10_IRQn) to them, but it makes no difference. How do know which one to use for a particular gpio? Edit: OK, so now I found that SYSCFG_EXTICR1->EXTI0 selects the int

Hello everyone !I'm currently working on the STM NUCLEO-wl55jc card and I'm having a few problems with it.I'm using the Ping Pong example code, which allows LoRa point-to-point communication between 2 cards. This works perfectly. My problem now is that I'd like to put one of my 2 cards in StandBy mode. So I use the function ‘HAL_PWR_EnableWakeUpPin(PWR_WAKEUP_PIN1_HIGH);’ -> line 113, to initialise the wakeup pin, and the function ‘HAL_PWR_EnterSTANDBYMode();’ -> line 117, to enter StandBy mode. Then, in my while(1) loop, under ‘ifdef GO_TO_LOW_POWER’, I simply want to turn on an LED when I exit StandBy mode and start LoRa communication using this ‘MX_SubGHz_Phy_Process();’ -> line 146, function. However, when a pulse arrives on the wakeup pin, PA0, the LED lights up but unfortunately communication doesn't take place. So I wanted to know if this was the right way to proceed and if my card really went into StandBy mode at the start or not. Because when it's supposed to be in thi

Hi,I bought an STM32L0538-DISCO MB1143B for an internal project. This is the first time i work with an e-paper and i am surprised by the refresh time of the display which is slower than i expected and could be an issue. I observe the refresh time of the display is highly dependant of the temperature:100° = 2.1s25° = 2.1s15° = 3.1s10° = 6.4sCould you confirm that is a "standard" refresh time for an e-paper ?Apart from temperature is there another way to reduce the refresh time ? Best Regards,

I'm using E Design Suite to build a buck (step-down) converter circuit and would like to know if there's anything in the design that I should be concerned about. I've reviewed the schematics in the datasheets, and they seem to be about the same.I plan to use the same MOSFET model for both the high-side and low-side switches to simplify component sourcing. Could this be a problem?I intend to use this circuit to power several servos, so the output should provide at least 10 A. Should I add more capacitors at the output? Would it also be a good idea to include flyback diodes? The link to the simulation: link

Hello,I’m designing a 1 kW converter using a push-pull topology with 24 V input and 400 V output. While doing so, I referred to the transformer design guidelines in your document AN2794. Unfortunately, I believe there are some inconsistencies or errors in a few of the equations. I would appreciate your assistance on the following points:The “RMS Input Current” value shown in Table 3 seems to be derived from Equation 9. However, shouldn’t the value be derived from Equations 6 or 8 instead?Regarding Equation 32, is it correct to assume that if the calculated Kg value in this equation is greater than the one calculated in Equation 31, then the selected core is suitable for the application? Additionally, I believe the unit in Equation 32 should be cm⁵ instead of cm².In Equation 33, does the number of primary turns represent a single winding on the primary side of the push-pull transformer, or the total primary turns? If it refers to a single winding, then the total would be 4 turns (2+2),

Hello,I am working on a project with a Nucleo-G431KB. I am using UART1 to receive GPS data (LEA-6S module, 9600 baud, 3.3V) on pin PB7 (RX), and I send data to a LoRa module (Ebyte E32868T20 module, 3.3V,  9600 baud too) on PB6 (TX).I configured UART1 in asynchronous mode with interrupts enabled (USART1 global interrupt active). In my code, I call HAL_UART_Receive_IT(&huart1, &recep, 1) at startup, and I relaunch HAL_UART_Receive_IT at the end of HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback().The GPS sends data correctly (tested with a direct connection) and the lora module works too (tested by sending text every 3 seconds), but on the Nucleo, the UART interrupt never seems to trigger.I give you my main.c and my .ioc fileAny idea what could block the UART RX interrupt on the G431KB?Thanks!

I found that the TDA7786 provides a datasheet, but based on others' code, it seems to lack a lot of content. Are there any similar technical reference documents or application manuals? I feel like I can't write the driver based solely on the datasheet.

Hello,I'm new to the USB protocol and currently facing an issue with USBX.I'm working on a project using ThreadX and the USBX stack, trying to develop a Custom HID device with two endpoints: one IN and one OUT.I generated the code using STM32CubeMX, and then modified:the HID descriptor,the USBD_Custom_HID_Activate and USBD_Custom_HID_Deactivate functions,as well as the thread entry:static VOID app_ux_device_thread_entry(ULONG thread_input) { /* USER CODE BEGIN app_ux_device_thread_entry */ TX_PARAMETER_NOT_USED(thread_input); HAL_PWREx_EnableVddUSB(); // Enable USB power /* Initialize USB DRD_FS controller */ MX_USB_PCD_Init(); /* Configure USB packet memory area (PMA) for endpoints */ HAL_PCDEx_PMAConfig(&hpcd_USB_DRD_FS, 0x00, PCD_SNG_BUF, 0x0C); // EP0 HAL_PCDEx_PMAConfig(&hpcd_USB_DRD_FS, 0x80, PCD_SNG_BUF, 0x4C); // EP1 IN HAL_PCDEx_PMAConfig(&hpcd_USB_DRD_FS, 0x81, PCD_SNG_BUF, 0x8C); // EP2 IN HAL_PCDEx_PMAConfig(&hpcd_USB_DRD_FS, 0x02, PCD_SNG_BUF,
