Hi everyone, we have a problem using LPTIM4 PWM output on STM32H747I-DISCO when system enters STOP mode.In this project, I need two independent PWM outputs with fixed frequency to work, while system goes to STOP mode to save power. LPTIM1_OUT & LPTIM4_OUT are used for this purpose.■ The issue is:1.In RUN mode, both LPTIM PWM works as expected.2. After system enters STOP mode, LPTIM1_OUT keeps PWM output, as expected.  But LPTIM4_OUT PWM stopped.3. When system wakes up from STOP mode, LPTIM4 starts PWM generation again automatically. This behavior seems like normal timer, not low-power timer.■ The waveform shown below helps to demonstrate the issue: Red - LPTIM1_OUT Yellow - LPTIM4_OUT Green - MCU current consumption■ Configuration codes are generated by STM32CubeIDE. Some code excerpts:A. Clock Source of LPTIM1 & LPTIM4 are LSE: PeriphClkInitStruct.Lptim1ClockSelection = RCC_LPTIM1CLKSOURCE_LSE; PeriphClkInitStruct.Lptim345ClockSelection = RCC_LPTIM345CLKSOU

Since Friday, generate an example from STM32CubeMX plugin is impossible for STM32WB series. Plugin is looking for a firmware package V1.11.0 which doesn't exist (no release in github repo, and newest tag is v1.10.1)does anyone already experienced this issue?ThanksPierre

Hi Technical Team,Where can i find application note or sample program for working with NMI interrupt in SPC560P Disp board.

Hi everyone, I'm using an STM32L4 microcontroller and a LSM6DSL MEMS. They are conected with the spi2 interface and for configuring everithing I'm using STMCubeIDE.I'm able to use the MEMS without BSP Custom, but when I try to set the BSP, it doesn't work at all. Here the code I used to link BSP with SPI: /* Link SPI functions to the LSM6DSL driver */ io_ctx.BusType   = LSM6DSL_SPI_4WIRES_BUS; io_ctx.Init    = BSP_SPI2_Init; io_ctx.DeInit   = BSP_SPI2_DeInit; io_ctx.ReadReg   = BSP_SPI2_SendRecv; io_ctx.WriteReg  = BSP_SPI2_Send; io_ctx.GetTick   = BSP_GetTick; LSM6DSL_RegisterBusIO(&MotionSensor, &io_ctx);I have read on internet that it works fine with I2C, but it seems to be a little tricky to set it up with SPI.Anyone could help?ThanksGabriele

I am using STM32L4A6VG with 1 MB flash and my application is about 600+KB. I want to update the user app from an external flash and need some guide to modify SBSFU.After reading these 2 examples (STM32CubeExpansion_SBSFU_V2.4.0\Projects\B-L475E-IOT01A\Applications\2_Images_ExtFlash and STM32CubeExpansion_SBSFU_V2.4.0\Projects\32L496GDISCOVERY\Applications\2_Images), I can update user image from my external flash with RDP and WRP on. Here is my configuration of memory mapping. I know this configuration violates FWALL and MPU settings (like active image header should be in FWALL NVDATA) so I comment the sanity check of FWALL and turn off FWALL protection./* Header does not start at the beginning of the sector to ensure the overlap constraint between firewall NVDATA section and firewall CODE section. This constraint is relevant only for products with dual bank and firewall isolation */ __ICFEDIT_SLOT_Active_1_start__ = 0x08012000; __ICFEDIT_SLOT_Active_1_end__ = 0x080F1FFF; __ICFEDIT

Lets hope someone has a felicitously revelation, or a clue.I am using a custom board with a nice stm32f105rbtx, fed with external XTAL.Everything worked like a charm untill i configured the clock to be 72Mhz and readjusted the can parameters in CUBEMX to match 125.000bauds  when i run the generated code it crashes riight here in HAL_CAN_Init(); The init function timeouts right here and returns HAL_ERROR /* Check Sleep mode leave acknowledge */ while ((hcan->Instance->MSR & CAN_MSR_SLAK) != 0U) { if ((HAL_GetTick() - tickstart) > CAN_TIMEOUT_VALUE) { /* Update error code */ hcan->ErrorCode |= HAL_CAN_ERROR_TIMEOUT;   /* Change CAN state */ hcan->State = HAL_CAN_STATE_ERROR;   return HAL_ERROR; } }I have no idea why the canbus "stays in sleep mode" during initialization with this config.....CubeMX file attachedEdit: now it happens with every canbus config, even old commits that were working previously.

Hi Touch GFX team,Throwing a hard fault error after the,Texts::setLanguage(0);Cube ide version 1.5.0Cube MX version v6.1.1Please suggest a solution

Im using stm32H7 discover board and a co2 sensor which is interfaced through I2C.

STM32F777__HAL_RCC_TIM5_CLK_ENABLE(); TIM5->PSC = HAL_RCC_GetPCLK1Freq()/1000000 - 1; TIM5->CR1 = TIM_CR1_CEN;   cyclecountstart = TIM5->CNT; HAL_Delay(1); cyclecountend = TIM5->CNT; cyclecount = cyclecountend - cyclecountstart;I expect to see cyclecount to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 1000. Yes I know it could be as high as 2000. However, I consistently get around 168,000. I have verified prescaler is getting set how I expect (53 since PCLK1 is 54 MHz). If I remove the delay completely I see around 14 counts which I guess is believable but seems high. What am I missing?

while using the DSPI example in spc58ec_disp , i couldn't see that the "spi_lld_select" and "spi_lld_unselect " functions usage to control the slave pin. and it didn't had any effect while i used the functions. how could i use the functions to control the chip select line.

This compiles with no warnings or errors: char buf[256];uint64_t bignum = 0x123456789;sprintf(buf,"bignum: 0x%016llx, %llu\r\n",bignum,bignum);HAL_UART_Transmit_DMA(&huart1,(uint8_t *)buf, strlen(buf));This comes out the terminal:bignum: 0x000000000000000lx, lu%I64d does not compile.

I need to implement a single channel software triggered ADC scan in an interrupt callback paced at 10ms intervals, since the rate cannot be controlled in DMA.I never had an issue doing this with CMSIS, yet, HAL seems to be, well, difficult is the nicest word I will use. I am confident my code is set up correctly, because before the scheduler starts, I have a "while" test loop that run 10 times, and the values come out correctly. Yet, in the callback, it chokes to death and causes faults. Why, that's just like HAL.Here is the init code for the ADC. void MX_ADC1_Init(void){ ADC_MultiModeTypeDef multimode = {0}; ADC_ChannelConfTypeDef sConfig = {0}; /** Common config  */ hadc1.Instance = ADC1; hadc1.Init.ClockPrescaler = ADC_CLOCK_ASYNC_DIV2; hadc1.Init.Resolution = ADC_RESOLUTION_12B; hadc1.Init.DataAlign = ADC_DATAALIGN_RIGHT; hadc1.Init.ScanConvMode = ADC_SCAN_ENABLE; hadc1.Init.EOCSelection = ADC_EOC_SINGLE_CONV; hadc1.Init.LowPow

Hi,I have downloaded the en.x-cube-smbus.zip package. How can I added it to the stm32CubeIde as a middleware?I have unzipped the file and moved the folder into STM32Cube/Repository/STM32Cube_FW_F3_V1.11.2/Middlewares but it is not seen by the stm32CubeIde application.Thanks.Pedro.

Hello. What is the value of the internal reference voltage of STM32WB55RGV6 MCU?Is it 1,212 V or 2,048 / 2,5 V?

Hello. What is the exact value of T_coeff_vrefint? I'm planning to use internal reference voltage buffer (VREFBUF) output pin in my application.

I have one ST-Link/V2 and one ST-Link/V2 ISOL and I experience following difference which I did not expect:ST-Link/V2 provides 3.3V to power the target's µC on PIN 1 of the flat ribbon cableST-Link/V2 ISOL does NOT provide 3.3V on that pin with the same configuration used in ST-Link utilityIs this by design, that intentionally the ISOL variant does not provide the 3.3V output or is there anyhow the possibility to recofigure the device to also provide the target power?

We are using an STM32L4R5VIT6 in a medical design and would like to run at 120MHz. The documentation refers to "boost" mode as "overvolting" which sounds dangerous to my manager. I assume there is no reliability impact in using boost mode, but would like confirmation from STM.

Hello, Have you ever seen the "N" suffix at the part number? Is the first time I see it. It seems to be some pinout differences, but... it implies any more differences? Thanks!

I'm using a STM32F401 that has its FLASH located at address 0x08000000.I'm trying to use the Vector Table Offset Register. I need to put the Vector Table at address 0x0800C000.My first question would be what do I need to put in VTOR?0x0800C000 (absolute addres) or 0x0000C000 (offset from 0x08000000)Second question:The manual https://developer.arm.com/documentation/ddi0439/b/System-Control/Register-summary?lang=engives the information about VTOR as:address=0xE000ED08 reset value=0x00000000 When I reset the processor with STM32CubeIDE and place a breakpoint at the very beginning of the code:Reset_Handler:   ldr  sp, =_estack   /* set stack pointer */I can see through the SFRs window that the register has in fact value 0x00000000However when I stop the program at main() the register value is now 0x08000000So what is changing the VTOR between the ResetHandler and main()?It must be said that the program works and it is using interrupts...

I would like to distinguish POR/PDR and BOR condition. Let me know if there is a way to identify this from embedded software for stm32l072cz.

Hi!I'm using STM32H7 for a new project, and I need to send data through HAL_SPI_Transmit_DMA to an external MRAM. I have a block of 34000 bytes. If i send this: HAL_SPI_Transmit_DMA(&MRAM_SPI_H, buf, 34000); there is some write problem (when I read the data, some bit is changed so the CRC error takes place). However, If i send the same block of data but divided in few parts (for example, parts of 5000 bytes): HAL_SPI_Transmit_DMA(&MRAM_SPI_H, buf, 5000) then the data reading is completely correct. The maximum size of the SPI transaction is uint16_t so, what could be the problem? Thank you so much in advanceJosep

We have a problem, we are trying to upload a new firmware version over NFC, using the mailbox. Our bootloader is tight on space, so we came up with a simple protocol for it; When attempting to write to the mailbox by calling mNfcTag.writeMailboxMessage(data) we notice that 4 bytes are prepended to the packet in the mIso15693CustomCommand class writeMsg() method:public byte writeMsg(byte sizeInBytes, byte[] buffer, byte flag, byte[] uid) throws STException { int msgSize = Helper.convertByteToUnsignedInt(sizeInBytes); if (buffer != null && buffer.length != 0 && buffer.length >= msgSize + 1) { int headerSize = this.getIso15693CustomHeaderSize(flag); byte[] frame = new byte[headerSize + 1 + msgSize + 1]; frame[0] = flag; frame[1] = -86; frame[2] = 2; if (this.uidNeeded(flag)) { this.addUidToFrame(frame, 3, uid); }   frame[headerSize] = sizeInBytes; System.arraycopy(buffer, 0, frame, headerSize + 1, msgSize + 1); byte[] response = this.transceive("writeM

Dear,Is there a way to override compilation warnings of the project properties ?I enable the "-Wall" and "-Wextra" options in the project properties. But it is global for the project and I have the warning for my specific files (.cpp / .hpp) and the ST library files (.c / .h).I only want to have the warning for my specific files. Is there a way to do that in the properties with the gcc options without adding pragma or options in the code files ?
