Hi,We have an ST25DV04K NFC tag which is being used to communicate to a host microcontroller from a mobile app and we're having trouble with FTM after booting up the host device from the app. We're starting up the host from this app by pulsing the GPO line. Unfortunately, the maximum interrupt time is too short so we're generating a pulse with the Manage GPO command; set, wait 100ms, reset. This works great.Once the device boots up, it then configures the tag to disallow RF from controlling the GPO with the Manage GPO command (by setting RF_USER_EN to 0 in GPO register). Then, we need to send some data to the host via FTM. So we enable the mailbox and write our data. On the host side, we see the interrupt, check the IT_STS_Dyn register for RF_PUT_MSG, then read the data, calculate the CRC, then write that back to the mailbox. This is where there's an issue. The mobile app is now polling the MB_CTRL_Dyn register for HOST_PUT_MSG. However, that never happens. Even stranger, if we move the p

Can the ST25R3917 be used as direct replacement in a ST25R3916 project based on X-NUCLEO-NFC06A1, or do I need to change anything in the code?I am aware that some hardware features aren't available.

Hey guys.Im using MT29F1G08 as an external flash. I want to use fmc and cubemx as a code generator.I cant find some of he timings in the datasheet and Im a bit confused. We have a lot of setup time in the datasheet and i dont know which one is it.And i dont know the difference between common and attribute timings. There is no attribute and common timing in the datasheet. The wait time and HIZ time is not in the datasheet either.Thanks.

Hi community.. Which static code tool analyzer do you suggest for stm32 embedded c Projects ? Thanks a lot

I'm just starting to play with the STM32 chips and like the Cube environment for it's ability to configure the chips functionality.I want to be able to write my own class libraries for obvious reasons. Reusable Code is the name of the game. What is the best way to integrate a source code library into a workspace such that all projects in that workspace can use that library.

Hello, i'm using the NUCLEO-WL55JC board.I am using the LoRaWAN_End_Node example which works fine. However I reach an operating current of around 50mA.Do you have an idea for a solution?Have a good day !

Hi,I have a ST25DV04K and I read/write it with the NFC Reader NFC06A1 connected to a NUCLEO L476RG electronic card.To read and write I use the "X-CUBE-NFC6" library (Ver 1.1.0)I would like to know if it is possible to set a password to protect the NFC device ST25DV04K for writing. In the library found on the web link I have not found a function that allows me to set it.Could you give me some examples? Thanks

I purchased a NUCLEO-G071RB and X-NUCLEO-USBPDM1 to development of my project. Then I wrote a sample program according to application note AN5418, but it doesn't recognize it as a connectable port to the UCPD monitor. Is it related to HWBoardVersionName or PDTypename of GUI_INTERFACE?I can see the message on the trace pane when you connect the USB cable.

Hi, I would like to customize the debug perspective but I can't remove the selected windows. I want to remove the window with the red box to leave the main.c file in the entire horizontal space, but it is associated with the editor in C ++ perspective. I also want to remove the green box window which is practically useless. I welcome suggestions in this regard.

Hello, I need to learn how to control an LED. Faced a problem while trying to generate PVM with DMA. I suspect the error lies in the initialization of the DMA. After running the code, no signals are observed. It was based on the project, which is considered at the following link: https://controllerstech.com/interface-ws2812-with-stm32/The project is generated in IDECubeMX. I work on stm32f429i-disc1. /* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * <h2><center>© Copyright (c) 2021 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved.</center></h2> * * This software component is licensed by ST under BSD 3-Clause license, * the "License"; You may not use this file except in compliance with the * License. I couldn't find any clear explanation for the term loader on an5056 and um2262.Maybe it is so obvious for others but unfortunately not for me:\ So here is my questions regarding loader and appreciate you helping me understand it well. What is the loader on SBSFU projects? does it refer to the ymodem protocol or the uart? What does a standalone loader mean? when do we need it?Why use ymodem for transferring firmware? Is there any alternative or even better protocol? In my project, I need to update the device with an android phone through the USB-CDC. I should change the uart to usb-cdc. The android app needs to download the .sfb file from a server and send it to the MCU to upgrade it by ymodem protocol, Am I right?

Hi, I'm wondering if I can use STM32G0 backup registers without needing LSE clock (using only Vbat voltage) or if LSE clock is mandatory for them working.I didn't find a clear answer neither in datasheet nor in reference manual. Thanks in Advance.Silvio Mogno

I have been characterizing the sub 200Hz characteristic of the IIS3DWB, and we are aware that it is somewhat an uncharted territory. But I was somewhat surprised by my observation when I compared a piezoelectric sensor attached to an IIS3DWB, vibrated together. The piezoelectric sensor is single axis, and I use only the z axis to take the measurement. (The vibrating coil is not perfect, might also have perpendicular components.)The ratio of the signal that I get from both sensors are like the following. (Had to diminish the amplitude for IIS3DWB not to saturate.) It seems that there is a resonant peak at about 70 Hz, (the cone also has a resonance there, but I look at relative outputs, and I wonder whether this is an issue.)And there is a high-pass characteristic, where at the lowest frequencies the signal dies out.  I wonder: How does IIS3DWB measure gravitational acceleration if low frequencies have a cutoff even without the digital filterIs there a structural reason for a low fr

What's with this warning, and how do I avoid it (apart from commenting it out). Is there something that I'm doing in error in STM32CubeMX?I'm using Keil uVision V5.33.0.0 with an STM32F7 processor.

Hi,I tried to let "en.FLASH-stm32mp1-openstlinux-5.10-dunfell-mp1-21-03-31.tar_v3.0.0" work on the ODYSSEY STM32MP157C board. Please advise when will produce error : "Starting version 244.5+[  5.236977] blk_update_request: I/O error, dev mmcblk1, sector 173056 op 0x1:(WRITE) flags 0x20800 phys_seg 1 prio class 0[  5.246675] Buffer I/O error on dev mmcblk1p4, logical block 0, lost sync page write[  5.254488] EXT4-fs (mmcblk1p4): I/O error while writing superblock[  5.260725] EXT4-fs (mmcblk1p4): mount failed[  5.269862] VFS: could not find a valid V7 on mmcblk1p4." and how to solve it.The attachment is the output log. Thanks,QiZhang

Hi,I use the stm32f446re with the cubeIDE and would like to use FFT's with 16 bit float (arm_rfft_fast_f16) like in the CMSIS DSP 5.8.0.The older CMSIS library works fine with the other data types but i cant get the new (DSP 1.9.0) to work. I tried different combinations but always include to much (error: ... multiple sources of...) or to less.Multiple definition in CMSIS DSP v1.8.0. library · Issue #1272 · ARM-software/CMSIS_5 · GitHubHas anybody encounterd this bevore? Thanks,

Hello,I‘m trying to power up my development board with a external 5V power source. Is it possible to use the on-board ST-Link via USB at the same time? Thank you for your help. Best regards.

A question about the application note AN2972 (chapter 4.1): How do I build and connect excactly the self-made single turn loop?I want to do the Antenna tuning measurements with a network analyzer as described in chapter 4.1 (see application note in the appendix). I will use an ZVL-6 Rohde und Schwarz and a coaxial cable. I plug this cable to port 1 in order to do a S11-Measurement as descirbed in the AN2972. But I'm not sure what to do with the other end of the cable.

I am trying to directly write to some STM32G03 chips.I have an "STM32G030J6M6" and a "STM32G031F6P6" but I am unable to write to them.I can connect to them, using the CubeProgrammer, but only in "Hot plug" mode, and when I try to write anything, like flash or erase, it just disconnects. If I try erasing it, it says "Please verify write protection" but there shouldn't be any, as this is a new chip.If I try and connect to the chip in "Normal" mode, it just gives me an error, saying "DEV_TARGET_CMD_ERR"I have tried holding down the reset pin, but that doesn't help. When I release it, it just gives me the same error. This is the output when I try to connect in normal mode.09:42:02 : ST-LINK SN : 36FF73065648343826450743 09:42:02 : ST-LINK FW : V2J38S7 09:42:02 : Board : -- 09:42:02 : Voltage : 1.50V 09:42:02 : Error: ST-LINK error (DEV_TARGET_CMD_ERR)This is the output for "Hot plug" + erase.09:45:33 : ST-LINK SN : 36FF73065648343826450743 09:45:33 : ST-LINK FW : V2J38S7 09:45:33 : Board : -

Hey!Is there a way to trace FreeRTOS data using CubeIDE? I want to see recordings of OS related data like scheduler, threads, semaphores states, etc. I know there're commercial products for this. If anyone did something similar using ST tools that would be really helpful. Thanks

Hello,Some background:STM32CubeIDE 1.6.1MCU: STM32L4R9ZGJ6SDK: STM32Cube_FW_L4_V1.14.0 (Yes I know it's old ~ 2019) Project is too large to update at the moment.I am currently debugging external DAC audio issues. I reverted to using simple SAI blocking functions for testing purposes. In doing so, I have discovered that HAL_SAI_Transmit() keeps all I2S clocks running after the specified amount of data is transmitted. Question 1: Are the I2S clocks supposed to stop after HAL_SAI_Transmit() returns, or is it up to the user to call __HAL_SAI_DISABLE() to stop the clocks manually?Looking at the STM32L4R9 reference manual (RM0432 Rev 5), I found the following on pg 1678:"In master TX mode, enabling the audio block immediately generates the bit clock for theexternal slaves even if there is no data in the FIFO, However FS signal generation isconditioned by the presence of data in the FIFO. After the FIFO receives the first data totransmit, this data is output to external slaves. If there is no
