Hello everyone,I want to make a project with STM32L series and LORA module and battery optimization is essential. I am going to run MCU under 1.8V but I am still not sure about LORA module. I am seeing support 1.8V operational mode. I assume if I have any problem 1.8V I will switch it to 3V3. In this scenerio, 1V8 stm32l0 and 3V3 Lora communicates with SPI and Lora spi will be 3V3. Can the stm32l0 handle the 3V3 spi com. Any person available here who is experienced about with 1V8.Thanks in advance.

I am developing a hardware design using the STM32WLE5JCI6. As a reference, I am looking at projects "MB1842.PrjPcb" (reference design) and "MB1389.PrjPcb" (Nucleo-WL55JC1 design files)

I am using an NFC reader, ST25R95, and it seems to be slow in reading, also it only reads at a very close rangeI wonder, if it is possible to change some parameter, something like sensitivity or something like that, to improve the distances and reading speedThank you in advance for your help

I'm trying to understand how I program the BLE Stack and FUS in the CPU2 of STM32WB55G (1Mb). When I use the binary available of ST repositoy, in default mode I program the "stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin" in address started 0x08000000, but in the release_note that is available of ST repository, it's show us that the binary needs program in address started 0x080D0000: When I program with this configuration and also program the "BLE_Ota", the application works (I can see the device in the app "ST BLE SENSOR"). But I didn't understand like it works, because the BLE_Ota start address in the 0x08000000 and it's overwrite the program previous (stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin), right?I did any tests: I Followed the video "STM32WB Getting Started Series: Part 7, Over-the-Air (OTA)" for understand the construction of memory, I understood that the memory of CPU 1 is 0x0800000 until 0x080CB000 and CPU 2 is 0x080CB000 until 0x080FFFFF:So, when I try to read the memory of 0x080CB000, I get t

I'm totally new on stm32 mcu's. i was working on a project and i want to update the MCU(The previous MCU was AVR) and i want to encode and decode base64 using Stm32CubeIDE(HAL Driver), so i decide to port my arduino library. The library is attached, but i have a problem in porting library. there is an include and function in the arduino library and i don't know how to port this part of code:First part: #include <avr/pgmspace.h>const char PROGMEM b64_alphabet[] = "ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ" "abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz" "0123456789+/";and this functionpgm_read_byte(&b64_alphabet[a4[i]]).The original library file is attached. Please help me. i dont know what should i do for this.

Hi again,I'm currently working on a TouchGFX project that requires me to have some one-time setup with some screens that are only shown to the user if the device is not yet set up, Let's call the first of these screens "WelcomeScreen" as opposed to the "MainScreen" for the sake of brevity. So, if the device is set up, I want to show the MainScreen to the user, and if the setup procedure is not yet done, I want to show the WelcomeScreen to the user. What I have tried now is add a method `bool isSetupComplete()` to the Model class.add invisible buttons that have dummy "Change Screen" interactions attached, andbasically copy the code generated when adding a transition on a button in a view, i.e.FrontendApplication& Model::application() { return *static_cast<FrontendApplication*>(touchgfx::Application::getInstance()); }and then add the following lines to the Model's c'tor:if(setupIsComplete()) { application().gotoMainScreenNoTransition(); } else { application().gotoWelcomeScree

Hi Community,When I use the Touch GFX from software packs in STM32CubeIDE and generate the project, I am getting the following errors. So, anyone is having idea how to solve this?1) region `RAM' overflowed by 1168976 bytes.2) touchgfx_ide_new.elf section `Video_RGB_Buffer' will not fit in region `RAM'. Thank you.Vins.

When I attempt to create a task with a name longer than 15 characters, CubeMX seems to truncate to 15 characters max. How do I name a Task in CubeMX longer than 15 characcters?

HelloIn my application, I use the DAC of the Micro to charge a capacitor(47uF). When the micro is power off, the voltage on the capacitor start to discharge with a high impedance resistor(6.8Megohm). I want the leakage current of the Micro I/O small enough. As I don't want the leakage current impact the capacitor discharge time. Thanks!

Using threadx rtos, spi is written to st7796 rbg565 480*320, the interface display is normal during initialization, but it is abnormal when the widget is refreshed in handletickevent

Hi,I have three projects, running on an STM32H7B3I-DK Discovery board. They Are: Complex - Using TouchGFX, a lot of I/O, timers, ADC's I2C, SPI and the other project is simple using only the ADC's. Throws SWV errorSimple   - No TouchGFX using ADC 1 and ADC 2 Only No SWV ErrorSimple   - Using Touch GFX and no other I/O No SWV ErrorWhen I debug the complex project I get an error: "Failed To Enable SWI - SWV will be disabled for this debug session" When I debug the simple project the error does not occur.Obviously it is something in the build of the complex project that is causing this. The debug settings are identical for each project and are shown in the screen shots attached. The console output for the debug build is:STMicroelectronics ST-LINK GDB server. I'm running Ubuntu 21.04 and have set the env variable to force use of X11:GDK_BACKEND=x11The utility runs and can discover connected ST-Link devices, but when I click connect button the tool crashes in the connectStLink function:# A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment: # # SIGSEGV (0xb) at pc=0x00007f2873aa90a3, pid=64882, tid=0x00007f2862a73640 # # JRE version: OpenJDK Runtime Environment (8.0_265-b01) (build 1.8.0_265-b01) # Java VM: OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (25.265-b01 mixed mode linux-amd64 compressed oops) # Problematic frame: # C [libCubeProgrammer_API.so+0x500a3] connectStLink+0x293

One of the variable in my program is the program version ie 200 for version 2.00. I log it to my debug log and I display it for the customer. The program version must also be passed to the SBSFU post build script. Is there any way to do this so the SBSFU version stays synced with my program variable?

Hi, I am using an STM32WB50 and i need to find a way to discover fus and stack versions installed not using an external tool but directly by reading some register or using specific function. Is there a way to do this? Thanks

Hello ST Community,as part of a project I want to perform an AD conversion (ADC1 + DMA) of 4 channels at a sampling frequency of 5.5kHz. For this I have configured a timer which determines the sampling frequency and the data is stored on a MicroSD card. The MCU is the STM32F723IC. I generate a PWM signal on one channel between 0-3.3V at 1 Hz and 50% duty cycle on the ADC CH1 and notice that the other three channels show a "weakened" pattern.  While cross-talk like behavior is displayed, the fact that when splitting the channels on two ADCs (ADC1 CH1 + CH2 and ADC2 CH3 + CH4) this pattern is only present on CH2 which leads me to suspect that the SAR ADC's capacitor is not discharging quickly. How can I prevent the pattern from appearing on the other pins when using a single ADC with 4 channels and the described sampling frequency? The pins are directly routed out from the processor. Floating state, no filtering is used. Attached is a code snippet of the relevant parts:... htim5.Ins

Hi...Community Hope you all are doing well Recently, I'm dealing with the STM32WB custom hardware In my application, i need the USB VCP logs during the BLE operation And that's how I'm using USB CDC for the communication with the serial terminal For me, I'm getting the debug logs at the serial terminal until the code reaches to CPU2 bootWhen CPU2 comes in to the picture then, suddenly CDC logs stops due to wireless stack initialisation After some googling, I got to know that the CPU2 uses the RNG, and that's how it's stopping the USB clock Unfortunately Peripherals code settings not seems to be working for me as per the application note AN5289I have attached code snippets for the Peripheral clock settings here However, the same code generating the debug logs with the Nucleo board because of the lower version of the wireless stack on a top of it!My custom board is running with the cube SDK version 1.11.1void PeriphClock_Config(void) { #if (CFG_USB_INTERFACE_ENABLE != 0) RCC_PeriphCLKIn

Hello guys,I am working with a STM32L071CB MCU.Currently I am trying to backup GPS data to internal memory flash when there is not LTE connection to send later when the LTE service is restored.Writing data to memory has been done right. I am having problem with reading back the data.First I am using bank1(start addr 0x08000000) to store the program code and the bank 2 (start addr 0x08010000) to backup data. The problems I am having are as follow:If I don't unlock the memory for writing, when I try to read starting the first address of bank2 (page 512), it reads starting the first address of bank 1 (page0).Now when unlocking the flash, I can read some data right, however some values are still read from page0 and not from page 512 as its supposed to be. Its driving me crazy.I am attaching the relevant information:Here is the function to read the flash:void flashRead (uint32_t readAddr, uint32_t *readBuf, uint16_t wordCnt){ flashUnlock();    while (wordCnt--){&nbsp

Hi,I'm working on a project where I'm supposed to save data that I collect from the XXXX accellerometer and then process it by performing an fft.I'm working on a project where I'm supposed to save data that I collect from the IIS3DWB accellerometer and then process it by performing an fft.Currently I save them on an external sd, but using the STM32L4R9 microcontroller that has 2MB of flash and 640kb of RAM, I would like to understand how much flash memory I have available to save these data and what is the latency to save them (I generate about 200KB per second of data). Also I would like to know how many times I can delete and rewrite the internal flash. How can I do this?

I'm using an STM32 to control a DC motor with a dual hall encoder feedback. To monitor motor position I want to use a General Purpose Timer (16bits) in Encoder Mode.As my input is noisy, I want to filter the signal using the Input Capture filter. My problem: I don't find any information about the ICTimer. Here's what I found in the AN4013 - STM32 cross-series timer overview Application note> "Program the filter by writing the IC1F[3:0] bits in the CCMRx register, and the prescaler by writing the IC1PSC[1:0] if needed"What kind of filter is this? How do I choose the value for IC1F?What is the cutoff frequency?Your help is appreciated.

We dont require any of the RF features in our use case. Had to choose this MCU due to chip shortage. Just want a functionality of a regular STM.Can we just use application core independently ?Is it possible to disable RF (Bluetooth radio ) completely and run the other core ? Please advise.

Hello STM32-Community,I'm currently using the SPH0641 Microphone alongside DFSDM. My DFSDM settings are:Sinc filter: Sinc 3 FilterIOSR: 8Divider = 79FOSR = 37with a clock frequency of 48 MHz and as a clocksource for DFSDM I've a sample rate of about 2052 Hz.After collecting 4096 datasets I'm doing a 4096-FFT to get the main frequencies of the audio signal. I'm using a sound generator to generate sound in any frequency. On the following image you can see, that the frequency of 500 Hz simulated by me and it isn't correctly displayed by the collected data of the DFSDM. I've also done an FFT with the raw microphone data and also get a main frequency of about 504 Hz after doing an FFT with Matlab. And this error is increasing by about 0.7 Hz every 100 Hz. Eg with 100 Hz sound I receive a mainfrequency of about 100.69 Hz. At 200, it's 201.39 Hz. At 300 Hz it is 302.58 and so on. The bigger the frequency, the higher the discrepancy between simulated sound and measured one.Edit: I checked

Hi I am trying to read car CAN BUS with STM32F091RC + MCP2551 transreceiver. All I am getting is empty header and data. I guess my setup is incorrect, anyone can advice how to setup?This is my setup: CAN_TxHeaderTypeDef TxHeader; CAN_RxHeaderTypeDef RxHeader; uint8_t TxData[8]; uint8_t RxData[8]; uint32_t TxMailbox;   HAL_CAN_Start(&hcan);   /* Infinite loop */ /* USER CODE BEGIN WHILE */ while (1) { /* USER CODE END WHILE */ /* Get RX message */ if (HAL_CAN_GetRxMessage(&hcan, CAN_RX_FIFO0, &RxHeader, RxData) != HAL_OK) { /* Reception Error */ Error_Handler(); } if ( RxData[0] != 0 || RxData[1] != 0 || RxData[2] != 0 || RxData[3] != 0 || RxData[4] != 0 || RxData[5] != 0 || RxData[6] != 0 || RxData[7] != 0 || RxHeader.DLC != 0 || RxHeader.ExtId != 0 || RxHeader.FilterMatchIndex != 0 || RxHeader.IDE != 0 || RxHeader.RTR != 0 || RxHeader.StdId != 0 || RxHeader.Timestamp != 0 ) { BSP_LED
