Hi everybody,I want to design a custom PB for the STM32WB10 with the PCB antenna design from AN5129. As described in the document there is a keep out area for the antenna where no GND plane should be placed. My question about this:If I keep this space free for the antenna, can I place components with a GND plane outside without having a cut in PCB? Or is there any interference if I do this?The picture shows my antenna with keep out area and I want to place something left and right to this area.

We are trying to interface ANT7-T-ST25DV04K and CMWX1ZZABZ-078 (MuRata LoRaWAN module that has STM32L0). When we read the NFC chip using I2C by the host processor STM32L0 (in LoRaWAN Module), we are reading garbage data (corrupted). However if we use a nucleo STM32L4 dev board to read the NFC, we don't see any issues. Not sure if why L0 does not work?We tried I2C pull ups and all of them are good. There are other I2C sensors on the same bus, we do not see any issues. Any input is appreciated.

My code needs to react to button press, button down and button released. But only one of these callbacks can be selected in touchgfx designer...

When I set up the USB_OTG_FS peripheral in CubeMX I get the following error: Looking at CubeMX I can't see anything wrong. The only thing I noticed is that I can't enable VBUS Sensing. The only option is "disabled". It has a pin assigned for it, the box is ticked, but the drop down (highlighted above) only has "disabled" as the single option.Edit: I should add that I have the correct 48MHz clock. This is the NUCLEO board.Is the lack of VBUS detection the issue? The device is self powered. How can I figure out what the error message is referring to?

Hello community,I got a project to do as my Master Thesis on Firmware upgrade over the air.I know how to write linker script, bootloader check free space and configure every peripheral etc. What attributes one look for when working with firmware upgrade over the air.This is the first IOT project and I have never worked with bluetooth or any wireless connection (like BLE Wifi, Lorawan etc). So I want your guidance and suggestions on how to build one. I know this is very generalized question, but I want to know how an embedded engineer think and what questions should I ask when building a system to accomplish the objective. For example (security, speed, etc) any inputs will be helping me. I find how to do one the internet but I don't know if any of it is serves real time large scale production. You can share your experience with me here.. Thanks in advance. :grinning_face: RegardsVB

I can not find an Resource that describes the funktion of the RF Wakeup. Im using an STM32Wb5m, so a dual-core with Application and Network core. In my understanding the "RF Wakeup" is used to wakeup the network core if an signal is coming from the radio - but im not using any Power management options, so the network core should run always and should not need any wakeup. What am I missing or for what is the "RF Wakeup" clock necessary?I configure it in my example to use the BLE radio. Without this RCC Config the radio does not work. RCC_PeriphCLKInitTypeDef PeriphClkInitStruct = {0};   PeriphClkInitStruct.PeriphClockSelection = RCC_PERIPHCLK_RFWAKEUP; PeriphClkInitStruct.RFWakeUpClockSelection = RCC_RFWKPCLKSOURCE_LSE;   if (HAL_RCCEx_PeriphCLKConfig(&PeriphClkInitStruct) != HAL_OK) { ret = UTILS_ERR; }

Hi,I'm trying to bring up a custom board based on STM32MP151C MPU. The design is widely taken from the devkit.I'm booting from SDCARD and bootpins are set accordingly (b101).One thing that is changing is the I2C4 pins for PMIC interface (still on I2C4 but different pins). So we changed the device tree of TF-A for that.Concerning the HSE, we keep the same configuration (external crystal, 24MHz).From this post;https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W000005qRjZSAU/cannot-boot-up-custom-board-which-based-on-stm32mp157cdk2-only-get-message-from-uart-panic-at-pc-0x2ffdc323-exception-mode0x00000016-at-0x2ffda000?t=1652971830558We confirmed that I2C and HSE should be configured correctly.We have tried to check the configuration for I2C and clocks. We didn't see anything wrong for now.In our case, PC is at a different address (0x2ffdaa77). Does it mean something different?Also, I don't have an exception as the post explain (Exception mode=0x00000016 at: 0x2ffda000), only the PANIC line.Do you

Hello!I want to implement USB host MSC function on freeRTOS using stm32F427.It is implemented to work well without applying the freeRTOS, but it does not work if the freeRTOS is applied.Please introduce materials or web sites that can refer to the necessary information for setting up on cubeIDE.Thank you.

The STLINK-V3MODS is a fantastic idea. The more engineering time I spend on the bootloader, the less time I have designing the product itself. Somebody at ST deserves a raise for the STLINK-V3MODS idea. This thing is a lifesaver! Let me know who you are, and I'll send you a case of wine! :wine_glass: But...no stock and no forecast as to when the STLINK-V3MODS comes on the market. 1122 on order according to Mouser but no date given. You can't run a business on those terms.Is the STLINK-V3MODS schematic available? If not, can it be made available? If so, how do I load the firmware into the blank STLINK-V3MODS micro? Can I order the micro with the STLINK-V3MODS firmware pre-installed?

Hello,I seem to be having some problems with the code generated via STM32CubeMX on the NUCLEO-H743ZI development board. I want to configure it to run on LwIP/RAW API. I can create such a configuration for its close relative: the NUCLEO F767ZI development board. In the latter case I take the following steps: Set the HCLK to 216 MHz (clocked from the HSI);Enable the ETH peripheral, set it to RMII mode, and set ETH_TXD0 and ETH_TX_EN pins to PG13 and PG11 (others are mapped appropriately); Set the PHY address to 0 in ETH Configuration>General: Ethernet Configuration Enable the LwIP middleware;Enable ICMP (LWIP_BROADCAST_PING and LWIP_MULTICAST_PING in LwIP Key Options>IPMP Options). This step is not necessary, although it helps to determine if all is well with the device.After I generate the code, I add an extern variable to my main.c to be able to track whether the device has obtained an IP address:/* USER CODE BEGIN PV */   /* Private variables ----------------

Not sure if this is the right place to post about CubeMX issues, but I'm having issues replicating the STM32WL55JC1 PingPong example. What I'm doing is trying to mimic every setting that exists in the example project (because it works), but some options are not actually changeable for me.First example is here:https://i.gyazo.com/46cebf0b8e0474d6480bd82d7e154085.pngOn the right, all visibility boxes are unchecked. But in the project I'm trying to recreate the example in, I can't uncheck any of the visibility (static) boxes. It just won't let me:https://i.gyazo.com/fdbf32a95e3c9bc8f0c5031f6c70749d.pngSecond thing is in my new project, cubemx refuses to generate any bsp files. So while in the example project I have the proper BSP files:https://i.gyazo.com/935b6558b46ce70fcf1bc5664b50d254.pngMy new project doesn't have anything:https://i.gyazo.com/8262c8d5b3e15d0a99f31d7d17be4b09.png(Notice the lack of a BSP folder)Both projects also match the SubGHz_Phy middleware section exactly:https://

I need to read the EMIOS 0 channel 5 counter.How can I solve it?

I'm developing application on stm32H7 and a need to execute small function from RAM. I add RamFunc derective, and describe in linker *(.RamFunc) in .data section. As a result, i certainly see, that function code moved to RAM address space. I compare byte to byte content of FLASH address with no RamFunc derective and RAM code with RamFunc. As A result it's clear that startup function move my code from FLASH to RAM. Than i try just to execute my function from main just calling "fucntionName();", but then i get an interrupt /** * @brief This is the code that gets called when the processor receives an  *     unexpected interrupt. This simply enters an infinite loop, preserving *     the system state for examination by a debugger. * @param None    * @retval None    */  .section .text.Default_Handler,"ax",%progbitsDefault_Handler:Infinite_Loop:&nbsp

hello guys, I want to config SPI to communicate with TJA1145 .the 4 pins are shown in the picture. but I test the signal by OScilloscope and I found nothing in the four pin which means no meaningful signal. for example the CS pin is always high and no pulse signal in SCK pin.I list majority signals here , could you pls help me to analysis the config and whether I miss something?thanks in advance.

Hi,I´m using an stm32f401 and observing suspicious behaviour on the I2C slave.My issue is that I get transmit completed callback after master has read 1 byte, but I have called HAL_I2C_Slave_Seq_Transmit_IT to send 2 bytes.I´m trying to send 2 bytes by calling:HAL_I2C_Slave_Seq_Transmit_IT(&i2cHandle, data, 2, I2C_FIRST_FRAME);Then I receive HAL_I2C_SlaveTxCpltCallback(&i2cHandle);Just after the host(I2C master) has read 1 byte.I have checked that I2C_SlaveTransmit_TXE is called as 2 times for unknown reason.I´m using raspberrypi as the I2C master and can reproduce the issue by calling (in the terminal)i2ctransfer -y 1 r1@0xAddrIf I instead call the slave transmit api with data size as 3 bytes:HAL_I2C_Slave_Seq_Transmit_IT(&i2cHandle, data, 3, I2C_FIRST_FRAME);I will receive the callback after 2 bytes are read by the host.Is this a known issue, or expected behaviour?

According to my experiences, STM32CubeIDE (1.9.0) does not support SWV message via ITM when using ST-Link GDB server, but it does so via OpenOCD. However, Keil µVision 5 does support ITM tracing, even bidirectional, via the 'Debug (printf) Viewer', when selecting the ST-Link option. What driver is Keil using that STM32CubeIDE isn't?

I am trying to develop an application in C/C++ (QT) to perform an ISO 15693 R2H FTM data transfer with an STDV04 tag using the STR25R3111DISCOComm DLL. I am able to link to the DLL, connect to the DISCO board and perform a passive read on my tag using my own code. I have also been able to perform successful FTM transfers using the ST Tag Editor. But it is not at all clear how I perform those transfers in my code using the DLL.Below is the log from ST25DV FTM Demo of the type of transfer I wish to perform. How do I reproduce that with DLL calls?I tried using iso15693TxRxNBytes() to send the data that is being logged as sent by the ST25R3911B_SENDRECEIVE commands, but when I get to sending command 0xAA, I always get an INVALID_CRC error back.Reading other posts, I think I need to use the rfalStartTransceive() / rfalGetTransceiveStatus() commands, but I cannot workout what I need to actually send. They always just return data that suggests that I am sending the wrong thing,

I'm using STM32CubeMX to develop an app for the STM32F030. I've done this many times and thought I understood the various issues - but I'm having a hell of a time getting a basic timer (TIM6) to run (interrupt-driven).The generated init code is: htim6.Instance = TIM6; htim6.Init.Prescaler = 0; htim6.Init.CounterMode = TIM_COUNTERMODE_UP; htim6.Init.Period = 816; htim6.Init.AutoReloadPreload = TIM_AUTORELOAD_PRELOAD_ENABLE; if (HAL_TIM_Base_Init(&htim6) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); }Then I start it with this: (The GPIO is for debugging - see below).HAL_GPIO_WritePin(TP5_GPIO_Port, TP5_Pin, GPIO_PIN_SET); //!!! HAL_GPIO_WritePin(TP5_GPIO_Port, TP5_Pin, GPIO_PIN_RESET); //!!!   // Start the system timer HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT(&htim6);   HAL_GPIO_WritePin(TP5_GPIO_Port, TP5_Pin, GPIO_PIN_SET); //!!! HAL_GPIO_WritePin(TP5_GPIO_Port, TP5_Pin, GPIO_PIN_RESET); //!!!Finally, my interrupt handler simply asserts a GPIO test point and increments a global variable:/**

I'm making a simple PCB to interface with the SWIM and JTAG of the ST-LINK /V2. I would like to use the standard cables that came with the ST-LINK /V2 programmer, so I need to know the name of the connectors used on the SWIM and JTAG interface.Appreciate if someone knows this off hand or can otherwise help me identify them.

Hello everyone,I would like to transmit strings of characters (which could be different sizes) using the Nucleo's UART serial communication. I'm using HAL_UART_Receive_IT(&huart2, &rx_buffer, 1), which receives the characters one by one and stores them into my rx_buffer, replacing the previous one.If I increase the amount of data elements to be received, the smaller strings of characters will not be enough to fulfill the expected amount of data elements to be received, and the HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback() will not be triggered.Is there a way to get the whole string of character, or to know if the the communication has ended, like a timeout flag?Thanks in advance!Loïc

Im having problems with DMA SPI transmit. Im using stm32f429zi mcu and would like to implement SPI DMA with MOSI only, I dont need MISO. SPI and DMA configuration was generated using CubeMX. Using HAL_SPI_Transmit function SPI works great. But HAL_SPI_Transmit_DMA does not send anything and gets stuck in while loop where it checks HAL_SPI_STATE_READY flag. HAL_SPI_Transmit_DMA returns HAL_OK. I am thinking that I have missed something in configuration but I havent been able to figure it out yet. If I create data to receive buffer and use HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA it also does not send anything but it doesnt get stuck in loop as spi status is ready.Im monitoring MOSI and SCK pin with logic analyzer.Here is my codePeripheralInit.c:void MX_SPI5_Init(void) { /* SPI5 parameter configuration*/ hspi5.Instance = SPI5; hspi5.Init.Mode = SPI_MODE_MASTER; hspi5.Init.Direction = SPI_DIRECTION_2LINES; hspi5.Init.DataSize = SPI_DATASIZE_8BIT; hspi5.Init.CLKPolarity = SPI_POLARITY_LOW;

STM32F407Why does the fifth pin of port D stay on?Here is the code:RCC->AHB1ENR|=RCC_AHB1ENR_GPIODEN;GPIOD->MODER&=0UL;GPIOD->IDR&=0UL;There are 3 volts on pin 5 of port D (I checked with a multimeter).The IDR register looks like this: IDR: 0000 0000 0010 0000The ODR register looks like this: ODR: 0000 0000 0000 0000
