Hello, I am using an STM32F427ZIT6 on a custom board for my project and it was working perfectly until now. I was able to programming it with an ST-Link V2 + ST-Link Utility as expected.I was working on adding DMA to my code but one day my chip stopped working and I was unable to flash code in it. In fact, I could flash data to the chip but it was flashing it in reverse order MSB LSB instead of LSB MSB.I tried updating and changing my ST-Link V2. I also tried using another similar board but I did not encounter the same problem. However, I did had strange behavior when flashing my other board (doesn't boot at start address when after power cycle).Here is the error message from St-Link Utility (Programming error @ 0x08000000!) :Here is the error message from STM32CubeProgrammer (Error: Data mismatch found at address 0x08000000 (byte = 0x8D instead of 0x00)) :Here is the difference between the data flashed in the chip and the data from the binary file I tried to flashed. As you can s

Hi,I had a doubt regarding the timer interrupt stop function.if(isOpen_Unload == 1){  HAL_NVIC_DisableIRQ(EXTI15_10_IRQn);  HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(EXTI9_5_IRQn);  Start_Motor(1);  HAL_Delay(5000);  HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(EXTI15_10_IRQn);  HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT(&htim3);  time_up = 0;  close_tray_unloading(); }void close_tray_unloading(){ curr = 0; while(!time_up){  curr = final_load();  if(curr < initial_weight){   HAL_TIM_Base_Stop_IT(&htim3);   if(isClose_Unload == 1){       isClose = 1;      }   break;  } }}Now in the above code as you can see I have started the timer interrupt after motor starts running and it is set to 15 secs. But I want to stop the timer interrupt when my current weight < initial weight as you can see in the condition but even though my current weight < initial w

I need an active high UART signal. Yes, the STM8S UART2_TX signal is active, but for hardware reasons I must invert the active low PCB output (UART2_TX). An easy solution would be a programmable STM8S feature to invert the signal. The reference manual does not list that option. Is that correct? Thank you for your response.

I found the pin of PG8 on the GPIO pin map on the board. So I connected to PG8 and GND to connect with oscilloscope.In the picture, the blue line is the oscilloscope's GND port.I connected the board and the oscilloscope like the picture above. And I entered the command to output the PPS signal, but the waveform is not displayed.I looked up various answers and followed the answers such as PTP activation command and adding PG8 to AF11.What am I doing wrong?For your information, I used the following image when I uploaded the image.en.FLASH-stm32mp1-openstlinux-5.15-yocto-kirkstone-mp1-v22.11.23\stm32mp1-openstlinux-5.15-yocto-kirkstone-mp1-v22.11.23\images\stm32mp1\flashlayout_st-image-weston\optee FlashLayout_emmc_stm32mp157d-ev1-optee.tsv

On the NUCLEO-G474RE board I have tested the QSPI interface with a flash memory. The interface seems to work properly but the read transfer in quad mode is slower than expected.To analyze the issue I have reduced my test program to two calls: HAL_QSPI_Command and HAL_QSPI_Receive. There are no devices connected to the QSPI interface. I try to read 32 bytes, the CPU clock is set to 170MHz and the QSPI is working with 10MHz. On the oscilloscope I can observe the following behavior (yellow: QSPI_NCS, blue: QSPI_CLK):There are 3 breaks in the clock generation: A, B and C (2 + 8 + 8 clocks). In the phases (1), (2), (3) and (4) the data will be transfered:(1): 46 clocks = 8 (instruction) + 38 (19 data bytes)(2): 8 clocks (4 data bytes)(3): 8 clocks (4 data bytes)(4): 10 clocks (5 data bytes)The total number of transfered bytes (32) is correct. What is the reason for the breaks in the clock generation?My test program has been generated with STM32CubeMX 6.6.0 / STM32Cube FW_G4 V1.5.2. As

According to the STM32U585 documentation, there is supposed to be a SP1 clock mux selection register, but none is described in the latest programming manual.Does anyone have any idea on what bits I need to set in which register to select the MSIK clock for the SPI1 peripheral?

I've run into an issue with the section of the UserApp linker script which ensures that the binary size is a multiple of 16 bytes:.align16 : { . = . + 1; /* _edata=. is aligned on 8 bytes so could be aligned on 16 bytes: add 1 byte gap */ . = ALIGN(16) - 1; /* increment the location counter until next 16 bytes aligned address (-1 byte) */ BYTE(0); /* allocate 1 byte (value is 0) to be a multiple of 16 bytes */ } > APPLI_region_ROMThis seems to fail for some binary sizes, where the following error is given:ld.exe:STM32WB5MMGHX_FLASH.ld:139 cannot move location counter backwards (from 0000000008032340 to 000000000803233f)If I change the size of the binary by adding some other command, the error goes away. I believe what's happening here is this:For a binary size of 0x3233f bytes, the first line advances the location counter to 0x32340.The second line rounds this to 0x32340, since it's already a multiple of 16 bytes, but then subtracts 1 byte, so it's attempting to set the location

Hello togetherI am currently doing the tutorial from ST (STM32WB Getting Started Series: Part 12b, Lab. Receiving data from the phone) to send and receive Information with BLE. I am stuck in the video at 15:00 when the device should show up on the ST BLE Toolbox App. (Some clock settings were not right from the beginning, I adjusted them to the ones in the video) I already tried:repeating the tutorial in case I made any mistakesreplacing the services, attributes and array size (was already correct due to latest update), see picture in attachementresetting the nucleo after flashingreplacing my app_ble.c and custom_app.c from the google drive (not the ble_conf.h as this has the settings for the WB55)the heart rate example. It works and shows up. replacing the settings from me with the ones from this example (BD_ADDRESS and Power didnt help.I found another post that was solved with the adjustment of the settings. Since this doesnt work for me, I am asking a new question now.My computer ru

NUCLEO-L4R5ZI board, CN12 header: Pin76 = PG7, pin66 = PG8.SB130 and SB131 have been removed from the board. config PG7, PG8 as GPIO output pins, but cannot toggle these two pinsHere is the code: GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStructure = {0}; __HAL_RCC_GPIOG_CLK_ENABLE();  GPIO_InitStructure.Pin =  GPIO_PIN_1 | GPIO_PIN_7 | GPIO_PIN_8; GPIO_InitStructure.Mode =  GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT_PP;                GPIO_InitStructure.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL;  GPIO_InitStructure.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_VERY_HIGH;   HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOG, &GPIO_InitStructure); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOG, GPIO_PIN_1, GPIO_PIN_RESET);  // set to LOW,  OK HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOG, GPIO_PIN_1, GPIO_PIN_SET);  // set to HIGH, OK. PG1 toggles OK. HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOG, GPIO_PIN_7, GPIO_PIN_RESET);  // LOW.

I need to fill certain RAM (buffer) locations with known values (i.e. compressed audio) during a CubeIDE debug session. I thought there was a way to load values into RAM while the program was stopped at a breakpoint. But I can't seem to find this tool. Seems like it existed in Atollic, but can't find it in CubeIDE. Any thoughts?Thx,MikeH

I have a simple function that reads one byte from I2C and I need the RxdFlag variable to be cleared in case of unsuccessful transfer (timeout) and I don't know how to get it from the HAL_StatusTypeDef structure. Thanx for your help.uint8_t GetSlaveInfo (uint8_t *value) { uint8_t RxdFlag = 1; HAL_I2C_Master_Receive(&hi2c1, EE_I2C_ADDR << 1, value, 1, 50); return RxdFlag; }

I'm trying to enable secure boot for general purpose ARM microcontrollers. Based on my research, secure boot starts with a Root of Trust (ROT). Usually this ROT is hardware based, which means that the microcontroller should have a dedicated immutable memory region that stores the very first code that runs after voltage is applied to a microcontroller. This region, also called the BOOT ROM is critical for secure boot as it is the basis on which all later stages of firmware are authenticated.Now, most microcontrollers that I have implemented in projects earlier do not have this ROT which is why I'm looking to make things secure using a cryptographic module that will act as a secure storage for both the BOOT ROM code and any additional keys for encryption, signing, authentication, etc. The ST33 TPM seems to be a good fit. The TPM 2.0 specification states that the TPM can be used for CRTM (Core Root of Trust Measurement) by which I assume that I can still keep my bootloader code in whateve

I uses touchGFX associated with Cube IDE with ETH, lwip freertos , it is compiling ok and working. But found ETH gpio pin of ETH in ioc, the max speed is setting to low, so I change it to veryhigh , rebuid the code found a new TouchGFX folder is created automatically, and cause compiing error: i.e. error: no declaration matcheshere is the snapshot in my case1, initial case, ok and working2, foung ETH GPIO speed is low3, change speed4, rebuild the code, there are new folder (Drivers, LWIP, Middleware and TuchGFX) created automatically at low location , then cause many error as belowerror: no declaration matches I have no clue regaring such kind of symptom, please advice, thanks in advance.

There are two inductors, L1 10uH and L5 10nH, in series for SMPS circuit in P-NUCLEO-WB55 design. Why is that? is the sequence affective (smaller L5 coming out of VLXSMPS pin)? Thanks. -wq

I have successfully setup the LTDC to work with my LCD to display TouchGFX images with no problems. However, I am also developing a simple bootloader for USB software updates that I need to display text to the display without the use of RTOS or TouchGFX. Anyone have an example of how to achieve this with the STM32 LTDC?

In previous development project we were able to place several variables with a magic number and checksum of the application at the end of the interrupt vector table that the bootloader could use to check if a valid application existed.Since the STM32CubeIDE generates the startup code this is not possible. Is anyone aware of a way for the STM32CubeIDE to place values such as the CRC into flash memory automatically during the build process??

I've been feeding dog, but sometimes it still triggered swt reset.I can get reset info from reading DES and FES register.WHY??Who can tell me the FAE or technical department e-mail in China？Or tell me the reasion?

Hi,last Friday I updated to TouchGFX 4.21.3, STM32CubeIDE 1.12.0 and STM32CubeMX 6.8.0. At the first compilation I had an error telling that cmsis_os2.h was missing. For I couldn’t fix the problem instantly I totally deinstalled these 3 programs and reinstalled them. For testing I coded a simple demo in TouchGFX and imported it into CubeIDE without any problems. When opening CubeMX I got following messages (image 4a + 4b). This project was definitely set up with TouchGFX 4.21.3 and should be encluding STMCubeMX V6.8.0. There should not be a message to ‘continue’ or ‘migrate’. A message that TouchGFX 4.21.3 is unknown is not o.k..Further more it is impossible to install CMSIS-Pack by the 'embedded software manager'. Those packages are missing - at least for STM32F7 (image 5a + 5b).How can I install these packages by hand or when you will have fixed this problem? I’m working with Windows 10 and with STM32F769 Disco.Thanks for your replyThilo
