If the absolute maximum input value is 20V, how can there be a graph with 32V input value?

Hello,I am newbie to use of these tools. I want to initialize all the I/O and some modules on a STM32F030CC micro-controller.  I defined all the I/O from STM32CubeMX.  I want to use the 2 PWM output on PB0 (TM3_CH3) and PB1 (TM3_CH4). I transfer the project on IDE, compile and run it.  All GPIO work fine but the I do not have the PWM outputs. What is wrong?static void MX_TIM3_Init(void){/* USER CODE BEGIN TIM3_Init 0 *//* USER CODE END TIM3_Init 0 */TIM_MasterConfigTypeDef sMasterConfig = {0};TIM_OC_InitTypeDef sConfigOC = {0};/* USER CODE BEGIN TIM3_Init 1 *//* USER CODE END TIM3_Init 1 */htim3.Instance = TIM3;htim3.Init.Prescaler = 0;htim3.Init.CounterMode = TIM_COUNTERMODE_UP;htim3.Init.Period = 65535;htim3.Init.ClockDivision = TIM_CLOCKDIVISION_DIV1;htim3.Init.AutoReloadPreload = TIM_AUTORELOAD_PRELOAD_ENABLE;if (HAL_TIM_PWM_Init(&htim3) != HAL_OK){Error_Handler();}sMasterConfig.MasterOutputTrigger = TIM_TRGO_RESET;sMasterConfig.MasterSlaveMode = TIM_MASTERSLAVEM

i am using NUCLEO-F410RB boardi followed the simple exti tutorial try to print "button pressed" to uart when the corresponding button is pressedlike most of the tutorial setting : interrupt rising edge . no pull up and pull down , one side of button  is the certain pin and the other side is connect to the board 3.3V pin and insert code like this void HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Callback(uint16_t GPIO_Pin) { if(GPIO_Pin == GPIO_PIN_14){ printf("button pressed"); } } i have tried several exti gate. they have the same problemeven i just plug a wire to the certain pin , the other end of wire has not connected anything yetthe uart would display a tons of 'button pressed' which means the exti was triggered multiple timeit is kind of weird do you guys have encountered this problem before?

The datasheet for the LD1086 specifies that I should use a 10 uF capacitor to filter the input/output of the device. The datasheet schematic for a typical application shows polarized filter caps. But the datasheet doesn't specify what type of capacitor I should use (polarized aluminum, polarized tantalum like LDO linear regulators, etc.).Should I use polarized tantalum caps? Or will even unpolarized ceramic caps work, as long as they're 10 uF? Thanks!

Hello everyone,I've been diving into the world of ESP32s and Arduinos for approximately 2 years now. My current project focuses on GNSS tracking combined with radio transmission. Initially, I was inclined towards using the ESP32-S3, however, as the project evolved, I find myself inclined to seek a more robust solution with a more powerful MCU, hence my interest in the STM family. Here's where I'm hitting a roadblock:Given the significant time and effort I've already invested in developing code for the ESP32, I'm hesitant about starting from scratch. So, my question is:How seamless is the transition from the Arduino-like programming in C++ (as I've been doing with the ESP32) to programming an STM32?Can I expect to use most of the libraries created for Arduino? For instance, I'm utilizing Sparkfun's Arduino GNSS library for tracking. Is there a possibility that I can reuse a significant portion of the existing code?Any insights or experiences you could share would be immensely helpful. Lo

I am trying to read and write to the MT25TL01G on the STM32H747I-DISCO board via the QSPI interface during runtime. I followed https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/how-to-add-a-bsp-to-an-stm32cubeide-project/ta-p/49812 to add the BSP to my project, using the QSPI files instead of the LCD files, and using the MT25TL01G component instead of the devices specified in that post. The program successfully compiles and runs, but data is not successfully written/read from the mt25.The code I have written is below, and should function as a basic test of QSPI read/write functionality. The program loops as intended, and does not get stuck anywhere. However, the result buffer always remains filled with 0s and never matches the data buffer as intended.Using ST-Link, I have confirmed that the program successfully fills the address specified with 0s, but does not successfully write data values. Please let me know what I'm missing :)My init function:/*** @brief QUADSPI Initialization Function

Here is a code of HAL_I2SEx_TransmitReceive() function on F4 series reduced for the sake of example: HAL_StatusTypeDef HAL_I2SEx_TransmitReceive(I2S_HandleTypeDef *hi2s, uint16_t *pTxData, uint16_t *pRxData, uint16_t Size, uint32_t Timeout) { // ... HAL_StatusTypeDef errorcode = HAL_OK; if (hi2s->State != HAL_I2S_STATE_READY) { errorcode = HAL_BUSY; goto error; } // ... /* Process Locked */ __HAL_LOCK(hi2s); // ... error : hi2s->State = HAL_I2S_STATE_READY; __HAL_UNLOCK(hi2s); return errorcode; } The if block and it's goto is completely broken. If the state is not HAL_I2S_STATE_READY, the code just sets it to that state and does the __HAL_UNLOCK(), damaging the current actual driver state. The __HAL_UNLOCK() should not be executed without the corresponding __HAL_LOCK().The state variables cannot be accessed outside of the critical section, because it breaks the whole logic behind the critical section.Just a quick search reveals, that, fo

Hello everyone!I'm trying to use ADC1 and ADC2 with DMA from a NucleoBoard STM32H732 under STM32CubeIDE. I am following the tutorial presented here:https://www.digikey.de/en/maker/projects/getting-started-with-stm32-working-with-adc-and-dma/f5009db3a3ed4370acaf545a3370c30cBy setting up ADC3 according to the tutorial, everything works as expected. But I noticed that even though I linked DMA1 stream 1 to ADC1 (Figure 1), just like DMA1 stream 0 is linked to ADC3. I don't get the option to run "DMA Continuous Request" like it does in the "ADC3 Configuration" tab (compare Figures 2 and 3). I've tried just adding these lines manualy to the generated C code without any succes. From what I understand from "RM0468 Reference Manual" page 673 mapping of ADC1 and DMA seems possible, but that is far from a beginner's knowledge. Is this device uncapable to perform a two channel conversion (ADC1 and ADC2) with DMA at the same time? (or at least one with ADC1 or ADC2?)Some others had problems with

Hello,Can we utilize any kind of external sensors such as optical flow or range sensors, in addition to a magnetometer or pressure sensor?

Hii everyone,I am new in STM Cube IDE. After install the Cube IDE it's not show any console where I can check the the status of the code like the error or suggation or status of any action. I attach my Cube IDE's snapshot for reference. Please help me to solve this problem. I tried different method like uninstall and install or go to STMCube IDE Window-> Show view-> Console / Build Analyzer, but nothing works. Please guide for the solution. Looking forward for positive reply.   Regards,Subhrajit Majumder

Questions: Is there an app which uses the FTM but sends out only the data itself, without any other layer of added protocol? Thank you, Nir

I have created a simple TouchGFX GUI on my STM32F746G-Disco Board. Everything works well. In my project I need a DAC . So I switched on DAC1 in CubeMX. But when I do so and flashing the code to the Board the screen do not show the genereated UI anymore. Even when I switch off the DAC, the screen remains blank. What is the Problem there and how can I solve it?

Hello,Could you please provide guidance on utilizing LSM6DSV as both a master and a slave in sensor hub mode simultaneously? Kindly refer to the attached image.

Hi,How to confirm the part is belong to LIS2DE12TR? Thank

HiI currently try to integrate the STEVAL-MKI168V1 for a development board via I2C.I use a TI MCU and use the default drivers provided by ST. The sensor does not respond to the defined I2C addresses of 0x31 resp. 0x33 if SA0=1. After doing a I2C scan I found out, the sensor responds to address 0x18 resp. 0x19 if SA0=1. Is this normal behavior?Using the 0x18 address, I can communicate with the sensor and receive the correct whoamI returnvalue of 0x33. But when trying to get accelerometer data the sensor returns 0 for all axes. This is how i setup the sensor (all setup calls are successful):  iisRet += iis2dh_block_data_update_set(&DevCtx, PROPERTY_DISABLE); iisRet += iis2dh_data_rate_set(&DevCtx, IIS2DH_ODR_100Hz); iisRet += iis2dh_full_scale_set(&DevCtx, IIS2DH_2g); iisRet += iis2dh_temperature_meas_set(&DevCtx, IIS2DH_TEMP_DISABLE); iisRet += iis2dh_operating_mode_set(&DevCtx, IIS2DH_LP_8bit); Thank you!

Hello all.I have troubles porting SBSFU onto STM32F756ZGTx.I took 1 image sample for STM32F769I as a base. I modified:- STM32F756ZGTx_FLASH.ld (SECoreBin)- STM32F756ZGTx_FLASH.ld (SBSFU)- mapping_sbsfu.ld- mapping_fwimg.ld- Other changes to source code under SBSFU and SECoreBin to work with target platform.Unfortunately, it still doesn't work and I'm not able to find out why.I connected debugger and every time programs ends up in a hard fault handler...With SFU_MPU_PROTECT_ENABLE turned off:With SFU_MPU_PROTECT_ENABLE turned on:First debugger starts hereThen it fails upon calling SFU_BOOT_SystemSecurity_Config() -> SFU_COM_Init() -> setvbuf(): If necessary I can provide snippets of code. Thanks!

I have completed an initial version of embedded C-code using the NUCLEO-F103RB. As a next step I plan to 'break off' the ST-Link portion and use the remaining NUCLEO board for building prototype hardware.Question: is there an Application Note or best practices guides that describe how to do this, manage any code changes, and what to expect in general?Thank you in advance for your feedback.

Hello, while using 1.13.1 version of STM32CubeIDE on a  STM32H735G-DK board I encountered 5 errors which did not happen while using previous versions. The errors are as follows:Can anyone help with what might cause these errors and how can they be fixed? Thanks.

It might as well be a dumb question, but is it in any way possible to connect and communicate with a Octo SPI slave with the dual Quad-SPI interface available on the STM32H753ZI?Thanks and best!Sam.

Hi all,I am trying to toggle a IO pin but the pin just will not turn on.I checked register values at startup before main(), and some of the values are the the same as the reset values shown in the reference manual:Every register has been set to the reset value of MODER of the corresponding GPIO port, but not the register's own reset value.I initialized the IO pins and ports, and set them, but the voltage on the pin would still be GND  LL_GPIO_ResetOutputPin(TIN_PORT, TIN_PIN); LL_GPIO_ResetOutputPin(TOUT_PORT, TOUT_PIN);/* GPIO Ports Clock Enable */ LL_APB2_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_AHB2_GRP1_PERIPH_GPIOA); LL_APB2_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_AHB2_GRP1_PERIPH_GPIOB); LL_APB2_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_AHB2_GRP1_PERIPH_GPIOC); LL_GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct = {0}; GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = ADIN_PIN|(ADIN_PIN << 1); GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = LL_GPIO_MODE_ANALOG; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = LL_GPIO_PULL_NO; LL_GPIO_Init(ADIN_PORT, &GPIO_InitStruct); /*TRIP GPIO Configuration PB8 ------&

How can I implement the encryption option on the STM32L073RZ board, is that ok with this „https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/x-cube-cryptolib.html#get-software" link? What is the best algorithm for my board?  Can you please give the Implementation in detail?

Hello All, I have been getting familiar with the tools that ST has for their st25 Reader modules and found that the st25r3911b-DISCO board in conjunction with the discovery gui is a great tool for me, as I want to develop custom ndef messages for a type 4 nfc tag. The GUI does a lot of what I need it to but I want to be able to load in my own custom binary ndef messages and send the to the reader to then write to the tag. I found the "DLL_Demo.cpp" files buried in the st program files and it seems promising but the function calls to communicate with the reader have no context or function briefs. And unfortunately there is not a pre-coded case for reading an ndef message, only reading the UID of a an iso14443 type a tag (which a type 4 tag is). I can read the UID of the tag just fine but getting any more information out of it has eluded me. I have tried to use the "nfc" functions that the DLL links but when I try to "nfcRXNBytes()" i get an error back saying " No message". I know t

hello. I bought it.https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/steval-25r3916b.html#overview I found source code for MDK ARM (maybe KEIL?)but I use only stm32cubeIDE. and that code is so heavy.I looking for short sample code for read UID only. help me anyone please.

Hi every one .I have designed a new MCU circuit  board for my own purposes. I am using an stm32u575VGTX  MCU in this circuit board and for the first thing i need to send and receive data with UART .As i don't want to busy the CPU just sending and receiving UART data , I decided to use GPDMA for this purpose. But in this case i faced a problem . the data will receive in a good condition but when i want to transmit the data with GPDMA, if after transmiting every were i useHAL_Delay(Delay)after that hole uart dont work and i can not receive or send any data with uartI tried to debug the code and I have got nothing more . just i now that the cpu is still  running after this problem and the code goes on   but uart won't send  data after that .I tried to send data in normal way and i didn't face any problem in this case. the problem just cames when i want to send it using GPDMA and after that usingHAL_Delay(Delay)also if i dont use this delay function i will not face
