Solved

Hello everyone,During the installation of CubeIDE 1.11.2, on Win10 (see screenshot), I received a warning about installing unsigned content. Same problem arises on Mac OSX.What could be the cause and how to solve this issue? Thanks for your help!

I am getting the hall fault in the below code which i have highlighted in red. When i run in open load the below error does not come but only in vehicle condition the fault happens. __weak void *HALL_TIMx_CC_IRQHandler(void *pHandleVoid){  uint32_t wCaptBuf;  uint16_t hPrscBuf;  uint16_t hHighSpeedCapture;  HALL_Handle_t *pHandle = (HALL_Handle_t *)pHandleVoid; //cstat !MISRAC2012-Rule-11.5  TIM_TypeDef *TIMx = pHandle->TIMx;  uint8_t bPrevHallState;  int8_t PrevDirection;   if (pHandle->SensorIsReliable)  {    /* A capture event generated this interrupt */    bPrevHallState = pHandle->HallState;    PrevDirection = pHandle->Direction;     if (DEGREES_120 == pHandle->SensorPlacement)    {      pHandle->HallState  = (uint8_t)((LL_GPIO_IsInputPinSet(pHandle->H3Port, pHandle->H3Pin) << 2U)            &n

Hi, In AN4974 (antenna matching network for ST29R391x device), In chapter 6.2.1 in Simulation S-parameter and Transition model, what is the tool used for simulation in this case?Best,Dalik

I connected the MKI231KA board to the Nucleo-L073 board to test the STHS34PF80.And I downloaded the PresenceDetection_STHS34PF80 example in the MEMS1 package.Afterwards, I ran Unicleo-GUI and connected it to the COM port, but the data was not read Normally.Do I need another setup?

HiI try to activate readout protection using jlink/jflash.The read out protection is level 0 (0xaa on last bytes of option byte currently 0xDFFFE1AA), I want to set level 1, using 0x00 value instead of AA.After flashing my binary, lock and optlock protection are successfully removed using keys and optkeys writing in flash registers. Then I write 32 bits option bytes at 0x01fff7800(w4 0x1FFF7800 0xDFFFE100), this command fails. According to reference manual, this writing sequence is supposed to erase option byte(including complemented option bytes?), then write option byte.Here received error:****** Error: Programming failed @ address 0x1FFF7804 (block verification error) Failed to restore target. RAMCode never stops0x1FFF7804 address corresponds to complemented option bytes(32 bits), which should be computed and written after setting OPT_START(this is the next step in my script).device stm32g0b1re //init and flash bin [...] //Remove Lock w4 0x40022008, 0x45670123 // Send KEY1 w4 0x4002

I have a very simple ThreadX app build with CubeMX, all settings default, the only relevant change is this code: void tx_app_thread_entry(ULONG thread_input) { static uint32_t c = 1; /* USER CODE BEGIN tx_app_thread_entry */ printf("Starting ThreadX App\n\n"); while (1) { tx_thread_sleep(10); // printf("1 this %li is a 0x%02X test 0x%02X\n", c, 0xaa, 0xbb); // printf("2 this %li is a 0x%02X test 0x%02X\n", c, 0xaa, 0xbb); // printf("3 this %li is a 0x%02X test 0x%02X\n", c, 0xaa, 0xbb); printf("1 this %li is %s a 0x%02X test 0x%02X \n", c, "inner string", 0xaa, 0xbb); printf("2 this %li is %s a 0x%02X test 0x%02X \n", c, "inner string", 0xaa, 0xbb); printf("3 this %li is %s a 0x%02X test 0x%02X \n", c, "inner string", 0xaa, 0xbb); c++; } /* USER CODE END tx_app_thread_entry */ }  /* USER CODE BEGIN 0 */ #ifdef __GNUC__ #define PUTCHAR_PROTOTYPE int __io_putchar(int ch) #else #define PUTCHAR_PROTOTYPE int fputc(int ch, FILE *f) #endif PUTCHAR_PROTOTYPE {

The STM32F042K6 has been giving me issues lately when it comes to using the UART module. USART1 is not working and USART2 only transmits. Has anyone encountered the same problem? I have attached a sample code I was using to test USART2 for both transmission and reception.  #include "main.h"/* Private variables ---------------------------------------------------------*/UART_HandleTypeDef huart1;UART_HandleTypeDef huart2;/* Private function prototypes -----------------------------------------------*/void SystemClock_Config(void);static void MX_GPIO_Init(void);static void MX_USART2_UART_Init(void);static void MX_USART1_UART_Init(void);/*** @brief The application entry point.* @retval int*/int main(void){/* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */HAL_Init();SystemClock_Config();MX_GPIO_Init();MX_USART2_UART_Init();MX_USART1_UART_Init();/* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ // modbus_memory modbus_rtu_memory;// modbus_memory *modbus_rtu_memory_ptr = &am

Hi, Can I connect to the LoraWan network using the STEVAL-FKI868V2 evaluation board connected to the NUCLEO L053R8 board? Can this be done without using additional modules?

I am working on NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q. The code is generated with STM32CubeMX (using STM32CubeIDE) and the application uses ThreadX, which was added to the project using CubeMX.When a thread call any function that would lead to a suspension of the thread, the function _get_ipsr() (file Middlewares\ST\threadx\ports\cortex_m33\gnu\inc\tx_port.h) is called and it directly triggers a Hard_Fault.The error would trigger 100% of the time with some source code, and never with some other source code. I am having this error for a while. I thought I found the solution before, but I was wrong and it was all just luck.According to this link:How to debug a HardFault on an ARM Cortex-M MCU | Interrupt (memfault.com)There is a usage fault with the flag "UNALIGNED" raised. However please note that last time I had trouble with _get_ipsr(), the only flag set to 1 was in the "reserved" field of the usage fault register.I still working on the issue but I am having trouble finding a solution. Do you have an

If I use AES mode CRYP_CR_ALGOMODE_AES_CBC, the decryptedText array does not match with the last 3 uint32_t values in the array. Same goes with ECB mode. However, when GCM or CCM modes are used, the decrypted data is same as the plain text. I could not find any hints in the errata sheet either.Has anyone else faced a similar problem?  #define BUFF_LEN 15 uint32_t AES256Key[8] = {0xB374A26A, 0x71490437, 0xAA024E4F, 0xADD5B497, 0xFDFF1A8E, 0xA6FF12F6, 0xFB65AF27, 0x20B59CCF}; uint32_t InitVector[4] = {0x7E892875, 0xA52C59A3, 0xB588306B, 0x13C31FBD}; uint32_t Ciphertext[BUFF_LEN] = {0x42831ec2, 0x21777424, 0x4b7221b7, 0x84d0d49c, 0xe3aa212f, 0x2c02a4e0, 0x35c17e23, 0x29aca12e, 0x21d514b2, 0x5466931c, 0x7d8f6a5a, 0xac84aa05, 0x1ba30b39, 0x6a0aac97, 0x3d58e091}; uint32_t Plaintext[BUFF_LEN] = {0xd9313225, 0xf88406e5, 0xa55909c5, 0xaff5269a, 0x86a7a953, 0x1534f7da, 0x2e4c303d, 0x8a318a72, 0x1c3c0c95, 0x95680953, 0x2fcf0e24, 0x49a6b525, 0xb16aedf5, 0xaa0de657, 0xba637b39

We are running the LIS2DH12 self test.  After completing the self test we go back and read stat reg 27 it is always returning FF.  We have tried reading it multiple times, but it always returns FF even if no new data is available.

Hello,I read about radio buttons and also checked the tutorial and examples.As far as it concerns my project a simple radio button is not flexible enough for what I want to do.I have a set of flex buttons in a screen and I want them to behave as if they were a set of radio buttons.Testwise I implemented this behaviour in the presenter class myself but I think this is not an elegant solution.Then I tried it with custom actions and triggers in the way that the screen has an action "reset other buttons" that will be called by an interaction each flex button does have. Another interaction will be triggered the action "reset other buttons" and this interaction I thought should be able to cange the state of the other flex buttons.I took the idea from the tutorial 5: https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/tutorials/tutorial-05There you can set the background color of a box from the interaction. But my flex buttons do not show up in the actions drop down menu. I think I am missing the point here /

Hi, are there any information's or app-notes available how to use this programmer over CAN bus. I cant find any information which hardware is supported or how make the can hardware on my laptop visible to the programmer. Thanks for your support!

Hi. I have a project using the USB_HID class, and the device sends HID reports just fine, until I enable RTC and recompile. When I enable RTC, without any other changes, I lose my USB event callbacks: HAL_PCD_SuspendCallback and HAL_PCD_ResumeCallback. I thought it may be related to something like this: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/problem-with-example-usb-code-and-rtc/m-p/491974 Has anybody succeeded in keeping both USB and RTC functioning?

 Digital output data rate (ODR) of LIS3DHH is given (typically) as 1.1kHz in the datasheet. Does it mean ODR is not fixed in one sensor or it is fixed in one particular sensor but there is an inter device variation ? In either case, I am confused how to use the sensor without knowing the exact data rate. For comparison, I looked at LIS2HH12 (and IIS2DH), and it has configurable ODR, and it does not mention this is typical or not, so I assume it means it is fixed. If I need a fixed ODR, am I looking at the wrong sensor (LIS3DHH), are some sensors like this and some sensors like LIS2HH12 have fixed (configurable or not) ODR ?

Hi,I'm getting an error "No ST-Link detected" with the CubeIDE 1.13.2. I can detect the programmer in the device manager:And I can connect and program the board (Nucleo L452RE-P) using the STM32CubeProgrammer. I have recently updated from CubeIDE v1.7 to 1.13.2, I think this was the first time I fully restarted the laptop and it can't program the board after that.Is this a known issue in this version of CubeIDE? Is there any recommended work around?Regards,Joao

To whom it may concern:We are currently developing a wearable devices, which is running on a STM32L031. In Bootloader mode, while I am trying to write data to vaild RAM address(0x20001F00), it returns NACK. Every step is followed instruction, but it just won't work on STM32L031 platform. Then I ran the same code try to write STM32H750 address and success(write  to 0x20004108). I think I can't solve this on my own, Please help. :crying_face:I've attached a logic analyzer photo includes UART data, first line is host side, second one is device side.(See attachments)By the way( Another question), I have two identical MCU(let's call master and slave) which connected with UART, I want to copy master's firmware to slave through UART bootloader. The hardware connection is correct and the bootloader can be entered. In this write process, on every stage slave returns ACK, but after reboot the code doesn't run. Then I dumped slave's hex file by SWD and compared with master's o

I am trying to use the external QSPI flash to store some contents while touchgfx is running.I believe the correct procedure to do is:Suspend touchgfx task.Disable interrupts(LTDC and DMA2D)switch QSPI to indirect modeperform write to QSPI switch QSPI to memory mapped modeenable interrupts (LTDC and DMA2D)Resume touchgfx taskI am following above procedure but the device restarts approximately after 90 seconds of suspending the touchgfx task. Even though there is no write operation to QSPI.I would like to know if the above mentioned procedure is correct ?also what would be correct place to suspend and resume the task ?Note: we are using EMBOS. @Martin KJELDSEN it would be helpful if you could provide some tips here.

I have been working with STM32F051K4U7 for the past few years and found GPIO window in "System Viewer" very useful as it allowed to toggle some pins manually while the code was running.However, I just built a new project using STM32G051K8U6 microcontroller and all of a sudden no GPIO interface is available anymore?I read some existing threads concerning Cortex-M3 based microcontrollers and the answer was that "some peripherals which are specific to certain vendors are not available in System Viewer".Why is that the case and is there definitely no way to add GPIO access say if I was to use custom file and edit STM32G051.svd by adding the missing peripherals?This feels like a step back coming from STM32F0 series microcontrollers.

I have attached two images of the L6470 Motor diver, In the new design PCB the motor drivers are heating up and don't seem to respond to SPI commands. No voltage is present on the VREG pin. The sense resistors were added basically for measuring the winding current. I have added Led on the Flag pin too. I have highlighted the changes in the Image for reference.

Hello, I'm using the STEVAL-MKI109V3 board in combination with STEVAL-MKI175V1 and trying to read the X, Y and Z values through the serial port using the commands described in the STEVAL-MKI109V3 documentation and I'm unable to see the Z axe value after running the *debug command:The initialization commands that I'm doing are:*setdb175v1*zoff*w206F*debugAnd then I start getting the data through the terminal as the picture below. When I stop it and I read directly the registers that has the X, Y and Z values, I get the next:As you can appreciate register 2D, which stands for OUT_Z_H, has a value of 0x36h and not 0 as in *debug.The firmware version that I'm using on the STEVAL-MKI109V3 is V3.53.3If I use Unico-GUI with the same register configuration, the tool is able to graph and read from the register the value of Z without any issue. For that reason is my believe that there might be something wrong in the STEVAL-MKI109V3 firmware.Please let me know if you need more informati

The send works fine but the receive fails. I am sure it is a mixing of 8-bit and 16-bit somewhere because I remember doing the packing to get the send to work. I wonder if there is something I need to do on the nano end. Sorry to repeat and promise to put in my own github (lab) when working. I will get a scope on it at the weekend but tim

This is the second time that I came in the morning to a device and greeted with this message upon upload:Info : Remote address: 127.0.0.1Info : stlinkserver already running, exitTarget no device found Error in initializing ST-LINK device.Reason: No device found on target.It has happened already and I just grabbed a new device as I could not debug it myself. There was no difference in the program that I tried uploading (same build). The only thing that changed between the two tries was me unplugging the USB at the end of the day and plugging it back in in the morning.The jumper is still on the ST-LINK position and the ST-LINK itself is visible and I can upgrade it without any difficulties.I am using STM32CubeIDE.What can I do to reverse this?

Folks,Is there a way to have a variable that is incremented each time the project is compiled? I can do this with Rowley Crossworks and it's really useful. I define and major and minor number then a build number gets incremented each time I compile and I can get those vlaues when I interrogate the device using a CLI.Thanks
