Hi there,I have a custom board (with eMMC) that freezes in the middle of kernel loading:I am under the impression it is related with the rootfs.ext4, becuase it does not try the loading, but I am not sure yet.Flash table is the following (I don´t use all the rest of partitions):Is there any way I can debug or any way to understand what is going on?Thank you in advance.

I have a few questions about how the LPR works.First off, the RM says "Low-power run mode: This mode is achieved when the system clock frequency isreduced below 2 MHz."1. What is meant by system clock here? SYSCLK or core clock (HCLK)? As far as I can see from clock tree, you can't have SYSCLK < 4 MHz if your clock source is external crystal (HSE), so if SYSCLK is meant here, the LPRun mode is achievable only when clocking from HSI16 with /8+ prescaler.2. What would be with LPR if I exceed 2 MHz? As far as I understand, the MCU has no straight way to determine the actual clock frequency. So now even if my HCLK exceeds 2 MHz, I can successfully activate LPR in the register (and even the power consumption lowers by 10-20% which is nice, but this isn't that much the datasheet claims for actual LPR). What are the consequences? (Unstable work? The mode is actually not activated?)(STM32G0B1)

Hi, I am designing NFC transceiver with ST25R3916B for EV charger and I have few questions regarding this.1. I saw that its transmit power is related to antenna size I can use so what is the maximum antenna size can I use? (Area I want to cover is approximately 140mm x 80 mm )2. If I am able to achieve this size, I need to keep turns ratio to 2 to achieve inductance between 1-1.5 uH(how to decide required inductance to define other parameters?), will this lower turns ration affect the performance in any way?3. Is component selection for Antenna designing and tuning related to Antenna size?4. I want to have 4-6 cm range for NFC so do I need to consider any other parameter while designing board with ST25R3916B? Thank You,Himit

I have a STM32H747I-DISCO board and i have been trying to transmit some data via UART peripheral over the virtual com port of this board (Pins PA9 & PA10) for a couple of weeks now, but every effort failed. Initially i tried to write the code from scratch but i didn't get the output. So i downloaded an example code from git hub, from the below link (which looked almost identical to the code i created from scratch).https://github.com/sh3r4zhassan/STM32H747I-DISCO_UARTAnd corrected the Pins to PA9 and PA10 in msp.c file and verified the code several times, but still no text/data was displayed in Putty and Tera Term. I also tweaked the settings like baud rate (applied the same baud rate in tera term) and tried keeping pull mode to GPIO_NOPULL and also in GPIO_PULLUP modes but still there is no output on tera term and putty. In my code in Cortex M7 main.c file, there is a toggle LED function and it works perfectly. Below image shows my UART Initialization in main.cBelow image

Is there any user guide regarding custom board creation in MC workbench 6.1.0? I can start from the X-NUCLEO-IHM05M1 board, but I have to change the HALL sensor input from TIM2 to TIM3.

HiI've added a scroll list with 10 elements to my view. It works without issues but I would like to change how far it scrolls. When I scroll up, the list stops when the last element has reached the top of the area. I would like the scroll to stop as soon as the last element is fully visible at the bottom of the area. Is this possible? If I use a scrollable container I can get this behavior, but I would like to use a list./Henrik

Hello everyone,I've a question. I want to use a Cortex-A7 on STM32MP13x or STM32MP15x for my project and I would like to parallelize my application. Can I use OpenMP on STM32CubeIDE? Is there a difference if I use OpenSTLinux?

According RM0456, section 33.4.27 Data management, p. 1287"The offset can be used to convert unsigned data to signed data (for example, in 14-bit mode, the offset value is equal to 0x2000). The offset correction is also supported in oversampling mode. For the oversampling mode, offset is subtracted before OVSS right shift applied."This is the good news. The bad news is that CubeMX believes that the opposite is true. But then on page 1304 in section 33.4.31 Oversampler I found this statement:"Offset correction is not supported in oversampling mode."Could anyone explain? I am confused. My tests show that offset and oversampling can be used simultaneously, but it is quite possible that after several hours of working with this technology I start seeing things.

I am working with Version 4.22.1 of the Designer since August and had no problem to generate code. Now I suddenly get the following issue: "Generate Code   |  Failed" The following text is printed in the log: Generate CodeGenerateDoneGenerate Assetsmake -f simulator/gcc/Makefile assets -j80 [main] us 0 init_cheap: VirtualAlloc pointer is null, Win32 error 487AllocationBase 0x0, BaseAddress 0x1050000, RegionSize 0xE0000, State 0x10000E:\TouchGFX\4.22.1\env\MinGW\msys\1.0\bin\sh.exe: *** Couldn't reserve space for cygwin's heap, Win32 error 0make: *** [assets] Error 1simulator/gcc/Makefile:32: recipe for target 'assets' failedFailedFailed I am not using the simulator. It seems to me that the problem only affects the simulator code generator. Right? Can I ignore the issue then? Any comments welcome!

Using Keil ARM MDK 5.37 with armclang.I migrated our TouchGFX 4.20 project to version 4.21.4 for testing if an annoying graph bug might be fixed. Now the binary is muuch larger and does not fit into microcontroller flash no more. I figured out that the new library contains references to C++ exception code.4.20 linker output (notice the library name libcpp_wnu)4.21.4 linker output (notice the library name libcpp_wnux)Likely this is due to the new library referencing to the symbol _The new library seems to reference the symbol "__aeabi_unwind_cpp_pr0" at various points where the old one does not. This leads to heaps of exception related code to be included afterwards. It seems as if the new lib has been built with -fexceptions.Is there a version without exceptions?Thank you,Lukas

Hi all,I Have a custom board that runs Linux. The board has a LSM6DSL module on it as well. the IMU driver has been ported into the Linux Kernel and I have access to the Accelerometer output registers from the Linux  sysfs entries under  /sys/bus/iio/devices/iio:deviceXin_accel_x_rawin_accel_y_rawin_accel_z_rawHowever, there is no sysfs entries for the Gyroscope output registers for user interface registers. How do I add it or enable in the driver. thanks

Hi, I have a problem with I2C communication between two MCU.The MCU that acts as I2C master in its main loop calls the HAL_I2C_Master_Receive function at an interval of approximately 1 second and reads the status of the MCU that acts as I2C slave.Everything works, but I noticed that if for some reason the MCU that acts as a I2C slave is turned off and on again (a normal reset cycle for example, whatchgod timeout os something like that), the master always goes into error HAL_I2C_ERROR_TIMEOUT when it calls the HAL_I2C_Master_Receive function. So communication only works, master and slave start together and always remain active together. But if the slave is turned off, when it is turned back on the communication no longer restarts, and continues to time out even if the slave is active.it's as if the I2C master once goes into error, always remains in error. I need something that can "reset" the I2C master after the timeout error, I don't know if I need to clean some flags or something like

Dear sir, We are working on one of our pharma project in which we want to drive a hall-sensored BLDC motor  using x-nucleo-ihm08m1 board. So we've downloaded firmware provided by ST microelectronics (STM32CubeExpansion_SPN8_V1.0.2) in which we are loading KEIL code on the board.  The value of global variable showing in the watch window shows error i.e cannot evaluatePlease let us know what the problem is and reply to me as soon as possible. Please find out the attachment below.

Hello,I'm trying to make the Zigbee_APS_Coord and Zigbee_APS_Router example work, but I'm facing an issue. When I try to reset the router, it takes 1 minute or sometimes more to reconnect. Does anyone have any idea? Here are the logs: 13 seconds after resetting the router, the coordinator displays:The coordinator :[0;92m[00000041.976][PLATFORM] nwk_handle_assoc : Association accepted, sending response (0x54ba, 0x0080e125005ebf63)<LF><CR>  the router: Thank you,Best Regards,

Good DayI am using Spi with Dma. When using the Hal-function "HAL_SPI_Receive(SPI_HandleTypeDef *hspi, uint8_t *pData, uint16_t Size, uint32_t Timeout)", I want to receive 1000 times Data , which I can set in the size-area. The Problem is that my Spi-peripheral needs constantly Cs-pin to get set and reset to give out Data, else i receive after one usable data just zeros. My question is following: Is there a way to tell the Spi to set and reset the cs when data gets received, and if so, how, or where can this be configured? I am currently using the function in a for loop to receive my Data with the size set to 1. But this is way to slow. Thanks for Helping.

Hello Everyone, I am using STM32F030CCT6TR microcontroller for Bootloader application. But as the mentioned controller is cortex M0+ ,  I directly can't change the interrupt vector table address myself using VTOR.So, I am copying the interrupt vector table from Flash memory to RAM and calling it when Application is running from the Bootloader. All the Interrupt are getting triggered expect for Sys Tic(),So Please help me with above problem. Below is function  i am using for the same. void goto_application(void){void (*app_reset_handler)(void) = (void*)(*((volatile uint32_t*) (ETX_APP_FLASH_ADDR + 4U)));deinitEverything();app_reset_handler(); //call the app reset handler}  void deinit Everything(void){__HAL_RCC_GPIOC_CLK_DISABLE();__HAL_RCC_GPIOD_CLK_DISABLE();__HAL_RCC_GPIOB_CLK_DISABLE();__HAL_RCC_GPIOA_CLK_DISABLE();HAL_RCC_DeInit();HAL_DeInit();SysTick->CTRL = 0;SysTick->LOAD = 0;SysTick->VAL = 0; HAL_SuspendTick();} Calling the H

Hello Everyone, I am trying to build the project from the pack "STM32CubeFunctionPack_LTE1_V1.1.0". I am using CubeIDE 1.12.0. Kindly help me build the project, I am new to STM32 CubeIDE. Thanks and regards.

Hello,I use the STM32H750VBT6, I have a problem when I use the ADC's DMA with 16-bit resolution (but not only). The input analog signal varies from 0 to 3v, but the minimum converted value is 20000 (out of 65000). It's as if the ADC isn't using the entire input range, do you have any idea where the problem comes from? Paul Parameters :ADC 16/12 bits resolutionContinuous Conversion ModeEnd of Single ConversionDMA One Shot Mode

Hi,I'm working with the ST25DV04KC tag (ISO15693 type 5) and I want to both read and write data to it.I'm looking for a compatible NFC reader that can connect to the computer via USB port, using an USB-to-Serial converter. The use case would be to write an application in Python that can use this reader to read/write data to the above mentioned NFC tag in NDEF format.Maybe someone can help me with the following questions:1 - Can anyone recommend a NFC reader that can communicate with NFC type 5 tags?2 - Can anyone recommend a Python library for communicating with NFC type 5 tags? I've found a library called nfcpy, but the documentation suggests that it only works with tags of type 1, 2, 3 and 4.Thanks!

Hi, we have a problem in our NFC app implementation in React Native. NFC card is st25dv64k-IWe use library react-native-nfc-manager to read/write single block and works good. The problem here is when we need to do it with a block greater than 255.We think that is for the "hexadecimal limit" because 0xFF = 255 but 0x100 = 256 and we read/write in a different block that you want. Operation works good but return a bad block info.We test it with ST25 tap NFC app and works good, writing in the 256 block and after that, with our app, read 30 blocks starting from 255 block and we get correct 256 block output. We are using this operations:- Single read: NfcManager.transceive([0x20, 0x23, ...nfcUid, 255]);- Multiple read: NfcManager.transceive([0x20, 0x23, ...nfcUid, 255, 0x30]);const newBlockData = [0,0,0,0,1]- Single write:  NfcManager.transceive([0x20, 0x21, ...nfcUid, 255,...newBlockData])Our goal is to write in block 305 byte 0 value 1.Thank you very much

I am using STM32H503RB nucleoboard. I have initialized project from cubeMX with default settings and only added a variable 'x' which is incremented with 100ms period. On CubeMonitor, 'x' variable value is always zero. When I debug I can see variable is incrementing. How can it be possible? By the way I am using windows 11. By the way, I realized that if I work on STM32f4 discovery, everything is okay. It seems that stlink v3 may cause problem on stm32cube monitor. It is not related with windows 11 or 10

Does anyone how to clock the NUCLEO-H753ZI to 480MHz?With this clock configuration it runs perfectly on 400Mhz, if I put the DIVN1 from the PLL1 a little above 200, in order to get a clock speed over 400MHz the board is stuck. STM32CubeMX and STM32CubeIDE give no error, the code compiles fine, but when I upload the .elf file the board is bricked. It should be able to run on 480MHz.

I have used the Cube examples "Thread_FTD_Coap_Multicast" and "Thread_SED_Coap_FreeRTOS" and I was able to receive CoAP multicast from SED to the thread leader however I am not able to send messages to the SED in any way at all when I pressed SW1 on the Nucleo board. I also tried the Thread CLI as a leader with the following commands:panid 0x2222channel 12networkkey 00112233445566778899aabbccddeeffifconfig upthread startcoap startAnd I saw that the Thread CLI was in Leader state and SED was connected to the thread CLI but I was not getting any CoAP messages from SED and I was not able to send any messages to SED either through CoAP (GET, PUT, POST) (CON/NON-CON). I would appreciate any pointers on how to achieve the Leader->SED communication through CoAP, or if any modifications necessary as I am quite new to OT devel. Thanks in advance Some boilerplate info:STM32CubeIDE V1.13.2STM32CubeWB V1.17.3Thread SED:P-NucleoWB55 // STM32WB55RGM0 Copro FW: stm32wb5x_Th

I have a design were I am trying to use the SMPS regulator in "#4 External SMPS supply" mode.  Figure 22 in the RM0399.  When I power up the board, the processor was in reset and I couldn't connect. When scoping the output of the inductor (VFBSMPS) the output is not the +1.2V that is supposed to be the default out.  It bounces between +1.2 to +1.8. 1) Looking carefully, I did miss the 220pF cap from VLX_SMPS to VSS_SMPS(GND).  I added that in and still the same problem.  There are some discussions that say the regulator can be permanently damaged without this cap. Is that true?  Even so, I took a brand new board, installed the cap before ever powering it up and tried it.  Same thing.  Bouncing VFB_SMPS.2) If I provided +1.8V externally to the output side of the inductor (VFBSMPS) then I can connect and the processor is recognized by StLink. How much output capacitance can the SMPS output handle? What else should I try?Paul&nbs
