Hello STM Community,We are currently engaged in the development of a Battery Management System (BMS) and have chosen the Texas Instruments Bq79652 Q1 IC for sensing voltage, current, and balancing cell voltages. This IC communicates via UART from the host to the device (IC). For testing purposes, we've opted for the STM32F103C8T6 MCU.As we look ahead to ensure the optimal performance and efficiency of our BMS, we seek guidance on selecting the most suitable MCU for our future endeavors. Our criteria include:1. **Performance:** We aim for a MCU with robust performance capabilities that can handle the intricate demands of BMS operations efficiently.2. **Integration:** Integration capabilities are crucial for seamless incorporation of additional algorithms such as State of Charge (SoC), State of Health (SoH), monitoring functions, and protective measures.3. **Compatibility:** We require an MCU that is compatible with the communication protocol and requirements of the Bq79652 Q1 IC for eff

 Hello,I'm working on a NUCLEO-H743ZI2 Board.I am attempting to record ADC samples on an SD card using a FreeRTOS CMSIS-V1 program. Below are the configurations for my ADC and Timer6:ADC Configuration:Timer6 Configuration, I try to have around a 7500Hz Frequency (APB Timer Clock = 64MHz): I am acquiring a simple 30Hz sine wave generated with a Low-Frequency Signal Generator. I use HAL_ADC_ConvHalfCpltCallback() and HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback() to trigger a TaskNotify(). In my task, if the notification comes from HalfCplt, I write the first half of my adc_buffer (size = 10240) to the SD card. If the notification comes from Cplt, I write the second half of the adc_buffer (ping-pong mechanism).Everything appears to work well, but there is an issue: when I examine the recorded file on my computer, I notice that some samples are missing between the first and second halves of my buffer, as seen in this screenshot: The discontinuity occurs every 5120 samples (half the size of my

The CAN connector on the board uses FDCAN1 on PA11, PA12 with PH8 being used to control the standby mode of the transceiver.To get the CAN interface working on the STM32H7B3I-DK I need to:Ensure that the STMOD+ connector is not used.Open SB22 and SB24 to disconnect PA11 and PA12 from the WiFi.Close SB3, SB4 and SB5 to connect PA11, PA12 and PH8 to the CAN transceiver (these took some finding as they are under the LCD and are not shown on the schematic - possibly because the latest available for download is MB1332-H7B3I-C01, but the board is MB1332-H7B3I-C02).Is it still possible to use the WiFi module?The user manual (UM2569) states "The module uses the SPI interface, as the corresponding firmware (for SPI capability only) is downloaded on the ISM43340-M4GL44-10CF Wi‐Fi® module", but the WiFi Solder bridge configuration table shows that the module can be connected to SPI2 (on PA11, PA12) or UART2.Looking at the Inventeksys website , different firmware is n

Hi Community,I am working on a stepper motor driver development board that uses SPI for configuration and a few GPIOs for control. The development board uses a 5V logic level and needs an interface to STM32G491RE. By referring to the datasheet I choose the following pins which are 5V tolerant (denoted by FT) for SPI (PC10, PC11, PC12, PA15) and GPIO (PA13, PA14).When I run a debug session I can see it crashes at HAL_GPIO_Init at the following line.With a message on the console as belowWhat might be wrong?STM32CubeIDE: 1.13.1HAL : FW_G4 V1.5.1

I have been learning NUCLEO-H563ZI using Keil recently.But I couldn't find the board level support package for the STM32H5 series on ST's official website.I have been download STM32Cube MCU Package for STM32H5 series,but i I can't find xx.pack file in the folder.Who can tell me how to download it.Thank you!!!

I would like to read external FLASH data using Memory Mapped mode, which is a function of OctoSPI.The environment is as follows. Use Board : nucleo l4r5ziIDE : Atollic TrueSTUDIO® for STM32, Built on Eclipse Neon.1a.(Version: 9.3.0)FLASH : W25Q64JV Currently, when FLASH data is read using Memory Mapped Mode, some data is unreadable.Specifically, 0xFF, 0xCC, and 0x88 are read.I have already confirmed that the data can be read as expected when read in indirection mode. The procedure is as follows. 1. Set for Memory Mapped Mode    Specifically, the register settings are as follows. 2. Reading FLASH data    The offset from 0x9000_0000 is stored in argv[2], and the program reads 256 bytes of data from that location.         static void flash_mng_cmdt_mem_mapped_read(int argc, char *argv[]) { uint8_t *base_addr = (uint8_t*)0x90000000; uint32_t i, j, k; uint8_t data; ofst = atoi(argv[2]); base_addr = base_addr + ofst; for (i = 0; i < 16;

Hi Firstly, sadly I can not change to HAL as I don't have time to port this all across right now for this project dealine. I am trying to setup a PWM signal on PC6 on the STM32F100, I am pretty sure I need to set it as an alternat function but I have no idea how to do this or if I even need to. I can get another PWM signal to work on PB0 with the same setup but PC6 does not give me any output. Just checking but PC6 is TIM3 and channel 1 right ? I am starting to doubt myself on everything right now.   Any ideas would be of great help.   Currently my setup is as follows :   void SERVO_Init(void) {     TIM_TimeBaseInitTypeDef TIM_TimeBaseStructure ;     TIM_OCInitTypeDef TIM_OCInitStructure;     RCC_APB1PeriphClockCmd(RCC_APB1Periph_TIM3, ENABLE);         /* configure Projector fan PWM timer */     TIM_TimeBaseStructure.TIM_Prescaler = 65535;    /* 24 MHz divided by this gives pwm input clock */ &nbs

Hello,I've developed a custom board based on the STM32H573RI MCU. Everything on the board is operating properly except the USB C, which is far from working out of the box.The problem that I'm experiencing is that after the initialization (enable the USB_BCDR_DPPU bit) of the USB driver the DP pin in not pulled high (3.3V), it's stays low/floating at 0.160V (which is different from the behaviour on the e.g Nulceo H503 board, where the DP pin is at expected 3.3V). The USB driver implementation is based on the following article:How to use STMicroelectronics classic USB device m... - STMicroelectronics CommunityThe DP and DM pins are not shorted and from the CubeMX perspective the USB, both peripheral and pins, are configured with default values (e.g alternating function/no pull up for pins). Screenshot of the USB connector:Screenshot of the STM32 USB pins:And here are screenshots from CubeMX configuration:And the intialization of the USB from the code perspective:If someone has an id

I am trying to set up 3 ADC.  I set PA4 to ADC1_INP18, PA5 to ADC2_INP19 and PF11 to ADC1_INP2.  Will this be something that works?  I am monitoring 3 lines (none NEED to be fast).I'm not clear on how to set this up.  I am multiplexing several inputs onto these, all single ended.  I'm not sure how we will read the data yet, timed, interrupt driven or polled.  I am replacing a LPC3250 and re-implementing the functionality.

HelloI want to make a scrollwheel as a menu, when the user clicks on the central image, the window changes.By following tutorial 4, I managed to adapt it to my needs.How to do so that when the user clicks on the central image, the window changes. I was thinking of reusing itemIndex via setNumber already used in MenuElement.hpp, but I can't do it.https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/tutorials/tutorial-04

HiI am looking some guidance how to use the PG pin to indicate the power good mode with fixed versions of LD39100. (3.3 and 1.8V versions.) I plan to use the 3.3V output as an input for the fixed 1v8 ldo version, so ideally all I need to monitor to verify the functionality is the PG pin from 1.8V version of LDO.PG pins I plan to pull-up high to Vin and datasheet suggest using a resistor between 100kOhm and 1Mohm. I assume that with the fixed 3.3V version of LD39100, the voltage should be high enough to power up the LED directly but with the 1.8V ldo case, I should use it more like an IO pin and then supply the LED voltage from LDO 3.3V?

Hello. Good or bad, we must be the first customer for Digikey to purchase the STM32U5G9J-DK1. This order has been stuck at Digikey for the past 2 days without communication from their side. DK service is really going downhill these days and often cannot deliver for the next business day. After we contacted them for an update - first chat was that the 'order is under review'. Next chat we initiated is that the order is under review and is due to the ECCN restrictions. Seriously? We are not in Russia nor China although I am confident that they would receive these parts before we do here in Canada at a lower resale.Can you assist? Should we cancel and source from Mouser? Otherwise we can buy it in China from our many brokers that can always source parts for a fraction of what we pay here in North America. Your salesorder number is 84778143 for your PO# 01042024.

Hi all, I am developing a TCP server starting from the STM32F4 TCP server echo sample.My goal is to keep the echo functionality and send in addition a periodic message.I modified slightly the original file and I managed to have the echo working and the method tcp_echoserver_periodic_notification called every second, but that message does not get to my client.I am probably doing something wrong but I do not understand what since it's my first time with LwIP and I must say it's not very straightforward.Can you please help me, what am I doing wrong?Also, I see other examples using the methods pbuf_take and pbuf_alloc, but the ST example does not use them, what is best to do here?Thanks.

Hi I am using STM32H747I-DISCO board, where I am using FDCAN module, I tried with external loop back mode with FDCAN1 able to transmit and receive single message ID, but i want to transmit three message ID's and receive the data as per the message ID's. But I don't how to configure for multiple messages ID's please someone suggest any example with multiple message ID transmit and receive.

Hi,I consider the boot option for our device. Normally we boot from qSPI EEPROM. STM32MP157 has an option to boot from SLC NAND. Does SLC NAND at STM32P157 have advantages in terms of read/write speed over qSPI? Thank you in advance!

Hi,Im using stm32f103c8t6 along with w25q64 spi flash memory. I'm trying to do with this as a mass storage device but it is not working please help me with this.

Hello all,Quick question. Why does Secure Engine (SE) consume so much RAM for projects supporting KMS and X509? In sample projects, by default it's around 120 [kB] of RAM assigned for SE. For purely "building" purposes we decreased it down to 36 [kB] and it builds successfully, but still wondering why by default it's so much? PS. Yes, that question might seem dumb, but we are trying to find out what's the RAM consumption by SE.

  Hi, <1> Recently I noticed the important of the Linker setting when I configured USB support(Someone say that need to increase the value in case of going wrong).  So I am wondering how large I could set.How does it relate to System SRAM or somthing else? And how can I find it in codes? I took over a project with USB problem that was not created by CubeMX. <2>I am also a FreeRTOS new user.I was told I should set a large stack when create a task in the first time.   But how maximum I could set?  All task stack add up can not be more than what?   Does someone know or think about these questions? Thanks for your reply.

Hi,Reader IC - ST25R3916RFAL version - 2.8.0Serial interface - I2CI am trying to read the entire memory (2KB) from ST25tv16k using the api rfalNfcvPollerExtendedReadMultipleBlocks.eg:-  err = rfalNfcvPollerExtendedReadMultipleBlocks(flags, NULL, blockNum, 75, rxBuf, 2050, &rcvLen);  In the above code, I am trying to read 75 blocks. This api returns ERR_NOMEM.What is the maximum data I can read from the tag in a single fn call?Also, the code breaks if the "numOfBlocks" is more than 75 in the above api. The reason found is that this will call the function st25r3916ReadFifo() with parameter buf as NULL and it is causing issue in my code.  Why is a NULL passed here ? What is an I2C api supposed to do when a NULL is passed ?
