Solved

Greetings,I have STM32Cube IDE installed, created some test apps, blinking LED's, RTOS threads, mutex and so on,writing on UART2 (virtual serial) is working well as I have working output on virtual COM port using putty on serial.I want to access UART3 as I have ESP-01S board connected on CN4 but no success.For the test I have removed ESP-01S and connected USB-RS232 (3.3V) RX/TX pins on CN4, opened another putty on this serial port to see output but whatever I send to it, nothing happens on putty.In test thread I'm doing this: void WifiTask(void const * argument) { uint8_t buffer[64]={0}; int len; for(;;) { len = sprintf((char *)buffer, "AT+GMR\x0d\x0a"); HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart3, buffer, len, HAL_MAX_DELAY); osDelay(100); } } But nothing comes out. I have changed all possible combinations of GPIO mode and GPIO Pull up/dn, but serial port is silent as hill.Is there any hint on what should I do to proper initialize this USART3 port?As I said, USART2 is working as

I am aware of the special bits to stop the IWDG and WWDG while the core is halted, but is there a way (option byte, SWD command, SFR, etc.) to configure an STM32G4 so that it will ignore the nRST pin being pulled low? I am particularly interested in being able to reprogram the MCU using SWD without being disrupted by an external supervisory IC. I am guessing this is not possible without changing hardware (forcing reset high with debug pod or appeasing the supervisory IC) but wanted to check.

I am working on LoRa-E5 mini. And I am searching  some document or any informative things so that I can transmit and receive the data using point to point communication. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hi,I'm running two timers on STM32F303 which do square wave output on two hardware pins. They are clocked by the 72MHz internal clock. They count down to 0 and reload from ARR register, which sets the output frequency. The two timers run perfectly syncronous, i.e the CNT registers of the timers have a constant offset.Then I permanently have to switch the frequency for both timers by modifying the ARR registers.  As a result the CNT registers of the two timers begin to slip, i.e. the offset is changing.I suspect the following: I modify the two ARR registers consecutively. I check for CNT counters to be high enough so no reload takes place while modifying the ARR registers.  Maybe an interrupt happens in between ARR update for the first counter and ARR update for the second counter. So one CNT register is updated from the old ARR value, the other from the new one. So the two counter values begin to slip. I use the eval board for STM32F303 and initialize all to the default

I have a solar panel the generates about 5V @ 200mA, trying to use the solar panel (5V/200mA) and charge a single cell lithium battery with a capacity of 5000mA. Can the SPV1040 device handle this task? Thank you.

Hi, we have a custom design with an STM32MP13xx CPU.We currently see random issues during boot. Some of the prototypes randomly stuck on boot without any output on the serial console, sometimes they are booting well. When a board has booted it runs stable without any issues.In error case, the oscillator does not start, we don't see any i2c communication to the PMIC and also the RAM power supply is not there.After review of the layout we saw that PDR_ON is floating and not connected to VDD as required in the datasheet and AN5474 (Getting started with STM32MP13x lines hardware development).My question:- can a floating PDR_ON pin lead to this random boot issues?- what else can be checked or is required if the oscillator does randomly not start running?Thanks in advance and best regardsRuben

Hello,I am working with the ST X-NUCLEO-NFC06A1, the X-Cube-NFC6, and the NTP5332 (NTAG 5) NFC V Tag from NXP. According to the NTAG’s datasheet, a "read config" is performed using the command "0xC0," and "write config" using the command "0xC1." The frame structure for these commands is described as follows:   The Data for reading and writing the config memory on address 0x37 should look like this:I would like to write the value "08120F00h" to the block with the address "0x37." I have used the function "rfalNfcvPollerTransceiveReq()" to first read the data , and it looks as follows:"err" is getting the Value "ERR_TIMEOUT" when i try to do this. Also when i try to write to that address.What could be causing this issue? Kind regards,Lukas

I am creating TouchGFX projects from STM32CUBEIDE. Then, compile it with TouchGFX Designer. Everything seems fine, but ı getting too many errors.

Hi,I have emax cf2820 1200kv brushless dc motor and i want to drive it with X-NUCLEO-IHM07M1 motor driver and NUCLEO-G071RB control board. Since the motor I have is not registered in the workbench, I need to import it as a JSON file. Could you tell me what parameters need to be included in the JSON file? Or should I modify one of the existing motors to match my own, even though it's a PMSM motor? Best Regards

I never heard about the PER clock. I'm looking inside CubeMX, but I don't see any PER clock at all. I guess it's periferial clock. So how do I start it? My U-boot won't boot. I guess that if PER will be like 24 MHz, then U-boot will continue. Or am I wrong? D/TC:0 0 call_initcalls:40 level 6 stm32mp1_init_lp_states() D/TC:0 0 stm32mp1_init_lp_states:230 Power configuration: shutdown to 6, suspend to 2 D/TC:0 0 call_initcalls:40 level 6 regulator_core_init() D/TC:0 0 call_initcalls:40 level 7 stm32_rng_release() D/TC:0 0 call_initcalls:40 level 7 regulator_core_cleanup() D/TC:0 0 regulator_core_cleanup:916 disable usb33 D/TC:0 0 regulator_core_cleanup:916 disable reg18 D/TC:0 0 regulator_core_cleanup:916 disable reg11 D/TC:0 0 call_initcalls:40 level 7 release_probe_lists() D/TC:0 0 call_finalcalls:59 level 1 release_external_dt() I/TC: Primary CPU switching to normal world boot serial_stm32 serial@40010000: pinctrl_select_state_full: uclass_get_device_by_phandle_id: err=-19

Good morningAre there any isntall instructions for the X-Cube-USB_Audio extension?Don't see anything on the product site...Also when trying to install it manually through the package manager it tells me that this package isn't compatible or corrupted....Or is there any sample code to quickly test USB audio receiving from computer?thanks in advancerichard

Hi,I have been trying to program NUCLEO-L4R5ZI but the ST-Link doesnt seem to be connecting. I have been going through the forums and it seems the ST-Link drivers dont work with Windows 11. Is that correct?Thank you.

Hi,I have a project that was design to be easily upgradable by the customer during devellopement. For this we added a USB connector and a jumper to select boot mode at power on, so we can use DFuSe to boot the new image. On the dev board (STM32F3discovery) everything is working even with craptastic wiring. However on the final board, it is not working. The USB is not recognized by windows.The circuitry on the USB lines matches exactly the dev board but the oscillator has changed. On the discovery it is a 8MHz crystal and on my final board it is an external oscillator at 24MHz. Meaning we use the bypass in our application instead of a normal oscillator configuration. This was unfortunately changed during layout.Is there any way the USB DFU bootloader can work with this external one pin oscillator ? Any tricks I could use to get it working or just impossible... I know it is needed to set the bypass in the application code but does the bootloader take this into account ... ?Thanks a lot.M

Hello STM32 Teams,   I want to use STM32H7A3QIY6QTR + 1.8V HyperRAM solution. STM32H7A3 datasheet said that 1.8V HyperRAM is supported. But I can not find any 1.8V HyperRAM solution from both stm32 community and EVAL Board.  All STM32H7A3 VDD Power pins are feed 3.3V in my design, because most of the GPIOs are 3.3V range. While if I want to use 1.8V HyperRAM, no extra VDDIO pin found which can be feed 1.8V. Does STM32H7A3 have a 3.3V and 1.8V bank like FPGA? How can I feed a correct power supply when I want use a 1.8V HyperRAM with STM32H7A3 MCU?

Hi everyone,I am working on a power-saving application using the STM32G030 series IC, and I need to configure the UART to work at a baud rate of 9600 with an external low-frequency oscillator (32.768 kHz).My goal is to ensure that the UART baud rate tolerance below 2.5%. Could you advise on how to calculate the baud rate error in this scenario?Additionally, are there any other potential issues I should be aware of with this configuration?Best regards.

I am looking at strategies for updating flash over CAN for the F446 (STM32F446RET6). A small loader program resides in addresses 0-0x8000, and loads the addresses above 0x8000 while there is other CAN traffic running. (This has been done and works with the STM32L431.) The knotty problem with the F446 is that the last three flash sectors are 128KB and the normal sram is 128K. If the procedure requires updating any addresses in flash and preserving the data not in the update, then the existing data in a sector needs to be saved before the erase and write. Reading in these 128K sectors takes all of sram. One approach would be to set the stack vars in common to the backup sram. After reading the various posts on backup sram, it looks like it would work on the F4 series, however I wonder if interrupts (and the possibility of tail-chaining) would work correctly, hence the question. An alternative would be to save the 128K sector data in the first 124K of flash and the remaining 4K

Hi,I see a problem in the HAL_RTCCEx_DisableBypassShadow function as the previous post POST advise, they convert the mas to uint8_t and by doing this when the value is and'ed the 24bit on the left are erased unintended.Im using 1.16.0 of IDE and (STM32Cube MCU Package for STM32H7) 1.11.2

Hello.Has anyone successfully read data from an SD card using CMD18 ( READ_MULTIPLE_BLOCK ) SDMMC in STM32U5?... or ...  Can anyone confirm that these microcontrollers have a manufacturing error in SDMMC operation?IDMA from SDMMC reads data into the buffer.Reading a single sector (512B) using CMD17 ( READ_SINGLE_BLOCK ) works correctly ( in 1bit or 4bit mode ) ...  but i can't read MULTIPLE_BLOCKS correctly ...On the memory card I have a text file with the following content::00000001 abcdefghijklmnoprstuwxyz:00000002 abcdefghijklmnoprstuwxyz:00000003 abcdefghijklmnoprstuwxyz:00000004 abcdefghijklmnoprstuwxyz:00000005 abcdefghijklmnoprstuwxyz:00000006 abcdefghijklmnoprstuwxyz:00000007 abcdefghijklmnoprstuwxyz:00000008 abcdefghijklmnoprstuwxyz:00000009 abcdefghijklmnoprstuwxyz:00000010 abcdefghijklmnoprstuwxyz:00000011 abcdefghijklmnoprstuwxyz:00000012 abcdefghijklmnoprstuwxyz:00000013 abcdefghijklmnoprstuwxyz:00000014 abcdefghijklmnoprstuwxyz:00000015 abcdefghijklmnoprstuwxyz:

Hi All, I am trying to get a custom BLE and MEMS project running on the Nucleo-WBA52CG board - however looks like the STM32_WPAN middleware does not work properly also in the latest WBA software pack the applications folder for the board does not have any BLE applications (older versionSTM32Cube_FW_WBA_V1.0.0 - had those)I can build the older application and it works with the board - however since I need to add the MEMS libraries - regenerating with the new cube does not work. Any ideas on how to get this working - Wish there was an easier path than this version nightmare I am attaching the ioc file that I obtained from the 1.0.0 FW_WBA pack. I am using it with CubeMX 6.12.0 and FW_WBA version 1.4.1.The project does compile however the BLE advertisement does not seem to be working and I am unable to see it in the STM Ble toolbox. I Compiled the porject using STM32 Cube IDE Version: 1.14.0

Good morning everyone,I'd like some help on this problem.On a WeAct BlackPill board equipped with STM32F411CEU6 I wrote a fairly simple program using the encoder mode on Timer2 to keep up with count and direction.I activated the interrupt feature as well since I need to generate some signal base on certain counter value.My problem is the HAL_TIM_IC_CaptureCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim) that is call only half of the time.I know this by a variable which is incremented every time the funcion is called and compare it the the counter value and is exactly half.I put a breakpoint on HAL_TIM_IRQHandler(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim) and trace the code and notice that both interrupt flag of each input it's handled and the same CaptureCallback is called.I know there are other ways to manage quadrature encoder but I thought since the feature it's available on the timer I could use it.Before changing method I'd like to know if I am doing something wrong.Thanks

I am designing a project using custom hardware that utilises the STM32WB55 to stream ADC values via DMA from which I want to process using a python script for gesture detection. I want to minimise the use of peer to peer communication and omit the use of a USB dongle to a computer for communication. There are not many resources that go into detail regarding how to communicate from the STM32WB55 to a PC as a peripheral as a continuous stream of information. What do I need to do to enable for host to peripheral communication to a computer using this set up if it is possible?

Hello guys, I am trying to make a development board using STM32G070KBT6 MCU, I want to add two modes to program flash memory 1. UART2. SWDbut the PA14-BOOT0 share a common pin, I have looked online for suggestions but am a bit confused now, can anyone give a final solution if I want to use both UART and SWD to upload code and a bit reference on how to do it if I have to add a circuit part or change bits, I only want these to upload code to my MCU.
