I am using an STM32 Nucleo H563ZI board for stm32CubeIDE and I am trying to send AT commands to a Telit LE910C4-WWX threadx modem over usb using the usbx host and threadx middleware. My program should be able to detect the modem as a cdc acm device, but it's failing to enumerate. When I connect a usb mouse to the Nucleo, it can enumerate properly as an hid mouse, which leads me to believe that the modem might not be properly configured. When I connect the modem with the configuration AT#USBCFG=1, it steps through the _ux_host_class_cdc_acm_entry() function 7 times, and the last time, it is able to check for IAD presence, but the IAD class is 2, and the IAD subclass is 0, so it still fails. Is there some other configuration for the modem I need to do, or do I need to modify the usbx driver or the ioc file?

Hi,I have an STM32L412RBT6P microcontroller and a CFAG12864T3-NFH LCD which uses an ST7565 controller. I want to use SPI to communicate with the LCD and leverage DMA to efficiently transfer data with lowest current consumption possible. Could someone provide an example code or any helping notes on how to set this up? Specifically, I'm looking for:1. Initializing the SPI peripheral on the STM32L412RBT6P for communication with the ST7565 controller.2. Configuring DMA to handle data transfers from memory to the SPI peripheral.3. Sending initialization commands and data to the LCD with ST7565.Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have a high-resolution timer configured at some frequency. This master timer has three other timers associated to it, where each timer also runs at the same frequency. But the trigger events of these timers are compare values from the master timer, that generate update event to trigger the reset of these timers. This works and all and I am using LL APIs but I need now at some point to change the period of these timers to a lower frequency. I know I can change the period using LL APIs while running. But can I do so without causing any glitches?I have 6 outputs (2 for each timer) set to 50% duty cycle. My approach would be to use the functions as follows, but instead of doing a jump in the period, I do in a ramped fashion. Which means each run of the mainLoop I changed the period and then apply the code shown for all timers. Then after 10 mainLoop runs, the change of frequency is completedLL_HRTIM_TIM_SetPeriod(HRTIM1, LL_HRTIM_TIMER_MASTER, NEW_PERIOD); LL_HRTIM_TIM_SetPeriod(HRTIM1, LL_

Hello,I'm using stm32CubeIDE V1.9.I wanted create new project example based on "LTDC_Display_1Layer".Before - I deleted all folder related to this project (because I created it already and did something into but wanted start again from a fresh project) .I also installed CubeIDE new.Now I still get this stupid error, see screenshot below. What can I do? New installation of V1.9 and new start of computer does not work...Thank you

HiI have recently been working on the board model mentioned in the title. At the moment I have a problem with two things:1. when trying to debug the kernel drivers, the kernel is inactive for a period of time which causes the watchdog to run. This behavior makes it impossible to debug the drivers. Is there any convenient solution to disable the watchdog? At this point I have disabled support for watchdog in both the uboot and kernel, but this has caused the board to reset itself no matter what I do (there is information on the wiki about the possibility of disabling it from the build root level). Looking through the information available on the Internet, I found out that you could directly modify the memory, but this option does not suit me. Another piece of advice is in the course from bootlin: ```However, it turns out that this pre-defined configuration enables the STM32 watchdog, and since our Linux user-space does not have a watchdog daemon to tick the watchdog regularly, it wo

Hi All,I use VSCode+STM32 plug-in and it works great, however, one problem I have is that every time I run STMCube32mx it updates the cmake file (CMakeLists.txt). There is no /*USER CODE */ section in this file so I have to constantly fix the CMakeLists.txt file with my additions.I checked STM32CubeMX project manager settings and there is no option to not generate a build file and there are no options to add your settings.Any idea? Thanks,Hans.

Hi, when trying the new ST BSP release base on linux kernel 6.1.82 on my stm32mp157f-dk2 I noticed that the legacy framebuffer support is not working anymore.this was working perfectly on the previous release with linux kernel 6.1.28.I didn't succeed in getting it working again, here is a fragment of my linux kernel configuration: CONFIG_DRM=yCONFIG_DRM_STM=yCONFIG_DRM_STM_DSI=yCONFIG_DRM_PANEL_ORISETECH_OTM8009A=yCONFIG_DRM_SII902X=yCONFIG_FB=yCONFIG_FB_SIMPLE=yCONFIG_BACKLIGHT_CLASS_DEVICE=yCONFIG_BACKLIGHT_PWM=yCONFIG_BACKLIGHT_GPIO=yCONFIG_FRAMEBUFFER_CONSOLE=yCONFIG_FRAMEBUFFER_CONSOLE_ROTATION=yCONFIG_DRM_FBDEV_EMULATION=yCONFIG_LOGO=ycan you please advice how to get it working again ? I don't plan to use DRM. Best regards

Hii I am using STM32F103C8T6 controller and i want to initialize UART 7-Bit mode as per this configurations none Partiy Bit and 1 stop Bit. But in the controller has  these two parameters UART_WORDLENGTH_8B & UART_WORDLENGTH_9B. Then how to init UART in 7-Bit mode. Please Help me to Complete this task.

Hi team,I have interfaced LTDC and TouchGFX, and they are running without any problems. My CTP driver is GT9271. How do I configure this with the H753 custom board?I found a video on YouTubeAdding External Flash (QSPI) and touchscreen driver to custom board - WARNING: BORING VIDEO ;) - YouTubethat goes through the process using the BSP of discovery boards where his CTP is similar to the discovery board. However, I noticed that the H743I-EVAL BSP uses a different driver. What steps should I take to achieve the exact output? Please guide me as we are almost ready with the UI.Thank you.Best regards,Jr_Engr_Mbed

Hi,i am trying to code Nucleo f401re with X Nucleo 53l1a1. I downloaded X CUBE 53l1a1. but unable to open the project since i am currently using a new version of cube mx. can somebody guide to me as to how to get started with new software probaly how to build a new project using the old x cube files. i am new to this .Thank u

Why does the datalogger crash when I put a device_config.json file on the SD card ?I created the device_config.json file using the Python GUI tool, saved it to the computer and then copied it to the root folder of the SD card. The only changes I made was to the accelerometers where I changed the range to 4g (with the exception of IIS2ICLX which was left at 3g).I put the SD card in the STWINBX1 and pressed the RESET button. When I try to start the log (by pressing the USER button) the software seems to crash. The green LED (LED_1) stays in the state when the USER button was pressed (i.e. permanently on or off). The board has to be reset, but then the same happens again if I try to start a log. When I try to access the log files on the SD card on the computer, I get an error saying the directory is corrupt, so this probably shows that the software is crashing...I cannot delete the folders, so I have to reformat the SD card.I have attached a copy of the device_config.json

Hi all,We want to make an application where users can update their devices. We want to rollback if the update failed. For this, we initially took a dual boot bank MCU, the STM32L471RG. But after being busy building a bootloader for it, I don't know if I really need dual boot banks.I think I can get away with a single boot bank, and defining two blocks of memory as two possible app locations. The bootloader will decide which is the newest, and if it passes CRC check. Or does dual boot banks really makes this easier? Some questions:My bootloader lives at the start of the memory, should it live in both banks, if I would use dual boot bank? How to swap banks? What about memory offsets? Can we just flash a .bin file with any offset?Does dual boot bank supports flashing the same .bin file in both banks without changing offsets?

Hello,I am implementing UART RX reception using DMA, but I am encountering an issue where the data is not correctly updated in the memory buffer connected to the DMA. Below is the code I configured. #define DMA_BUFFER_SIZE 10 uint8_t dma_buffer[DMA_BUFFER_SIZE]; void USART_Initialize(USART_TypeDef* USARTx, LL_USART_InitTypeDef* p_init) { UsartRxBuffer = xStreamBufferCreate(DMA_BUFFER_SIZE * 3, 1); huart1.Instance = USART1; huart1.Init.BaudRate = 115200; huart1.Init.WordLength = UART_WORDLENGTH_8B; huart1.Init.StopBits = UART_STOPBITS_1; huart1.Init.Parity = UART_PARITY_NONE; huart1.Init.Mode = UART_MODE_TX_RX; huart1.Init.HwFlowCtl = UART_HWCONTROL_NONE; huart1.Init.OverSampling = UART_OVERSAMPLING_16; if (HAL_UART_Init(&huart1) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } HAL_UARTEx_ReceiveToIdle_DMA(&huart1, (u8*)dma_buffer, DMA_BUFFER_SIZE); } static void MX_DMA_Init(void) { /* DMA controller clock enable */ __HAL_RCC_DMA2_CLK_ENABLE(); /* DMA2_Stream2_I

Dear All,let me ask for your kind support.I am able to debug a customized board equipped with STM32WLE micro by using the STM32CubeIDE program (Version: 1.3.0.20) with the connection to a ST-LINK V2 device. On a second PC I installed the STM32CubeIDE program version1.15.1, I am able to build a running program on the same customized board. I did also the Debug Configurations(the same parameters of the version 1.3.0.20) but I am not able to debug. After the compilation I get this final message on the consoleSTMicroelectronics ST-LINK GDB server. NUCLEO-G474REMy design uses two timers, one in master mode(TIM20) and one in slave mode(TIM1).To have the master timer generate an update signal in the trigger output, I set its TRGO event selection as "Update Event". the CR2 value 0x200020 confirms MMS is set to 2. I confirm TIM20 is running by probing its PWM output channel routed to an GPIO.The trigger source for the slave-mode TIM1 is ITR9, which comes from TIM20(my master-mode TIM).TIM1 is in "Combined reset + trigger mode". The design goal is to have a UEV(update settings from pre-loaded registers) and trigger(my understanding on the concept of trigger here is that the CEN bit is set by hardware automatically).I want the TIM1 to produce one PWM output per UEV from TIM20, therefore OPM is enabled in TIM1(Given my Repetition setting is 1, by the end of the TIM period, CEN will be 0 automatically, waiting for next trigger from master TIM20).The TIM1 PWM parameter is a sequence of known values, therefore I enabled a DMA channel to tr

I am progressing on porting the CubeU5 project for STM32U575I-EV as Ux_Device_CDC_ECM to a NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q board: The USB enumeration seems to work: I hear the sound and I see also an USB "STM32 CDC ECM" device.BTW: very important to go with the right BSP files: the NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q has a different USPD chip! (I have changed to the right BSP files for NUCLEO, the EVAL board BSP cannot work). What I get: an "Other devices" in device manager (the driver is not found): No idea what to install on a Windows OS to make the device driver happy. What works: if I select manually and select "USB devices", "STMicroelectronics" and "STLink Bridge" - the driver is happy but it cannot be right (it does not look like a network interface is added to the system) trying some NDIS and RNDIS drivers fail (Windows complains about issues to install) The MCU FW is not happy: it does not progress on DHCP server: the MCU does not get any IP address (and the event for IP address changed is not coming) If

The hardware is configured, initialization passes (fails if no card is inserted). The card is 8GB micro SD formatted on Windows with exFAT, contains 1 file "test.txt" with content "HELLO".The exFAT option is enabled for the FATFS.Here's my code:FATFS fs; FRESULT fr = f_mount(&fs, (TCHAR*)"0:/", (BYTE)1);In the next line the debugger shows "fr = FR_NO_FILESYSTEM".It behaved the same with SD card formatted with FAT32. Since the card is 8GB it can't be formatted with FAT16.My question is very similar to:https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X00009Xkf5gSAB/frnofilesystem-fatfs4pins-sdcard-with-nucleol476rgEDIT:OK, I've found why it happens and the workaround for it, check my answer below.

Hi, I am trying to get more info on what I believe is EEPROM chip, it is in Haldex 5th generation and trying to find same or similar replacement, as I have more and more faulty, corroded units that I could repair.Any help welcome, Thanks all

Hi there, I'm currently trying to setup the STM32_Touchsensing library.I have already downloaded the library fromST(https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeWB/blob/master/README.md#how-to-use). How do I enable this Touch sensing library now that I have downloaded it Thanks!

The manual I have for the STM32U585 describes the Independent Watchdog (IWDG) peripheral and says it has an Early Wake-Up Interrupt (EWI) feature.  The manual says "Wake-up from Stop with interrupt is supported only in Stop 0, Stop 1, and Stop 2 modes", but I found this in the U585 Errata: "The independent watchdog (IWDG) is functional in Stop mode and the device exits Stop 0, Stop 1, Stop 2 andStop 3 modes in case of IWDG reset.  However, the early wakeup interrupt does not wake up the device from Stop 0, Stop 1 and Stop 2 modes.Note: As specified, the IWDG early wakeup interrupt does not wake up the device from Stop 3 mode."   Does this mean that the EWI will only work if the processor is in run mode when it occurs?  Will it work in Sleep mode?

Hi, I'm a newbie in this embedded board and I'm having a hard time setting up the PWM pins. I'm currently using an STM32F103RB with a bldc motor driver shield that has pin 5, 6, 9 for PWM input. The corresponding pins for them are PB4, PB10, PC7 so I tried to activate pwm for those. However, PB4(TIM3_CH1) and PC7(TIM3_CH2) couldn't be configured at the same time and when I tried to set PC7 after setting PB4 to TIM3_CH1, PB4 automatically switches to some other pin that can be compatible with PC7.Why does this happen even if they use the same timer but have different channels?

Now I want to use ADC3 to collect the voltage of single-ended signals. I used IN1 channel to collect the reference voltage source of 1.5V and the internal channel to collect the internal reference voltage source of the chip respectively. The test results are as follows。The code value returned and the corresponding voltage size are shown in the figure below。 It can be found that the error of code is relatively large, because the bits of ADC can not reach 16 bits or what other reasons? Please advise

HiI want to use VL53L1x board sensor for custom application. I wanted to use an external laser source of 940nm and block the onboard laser source. Are there any precautions to be taken for such case?I also wanted to know is it possible to access the raw data such as photon counts/ intensity, could u please show an example? Is it possible to interface this sensor with custom controller boards such as FPGA?
