Hi All,I want to design USB schematic for STM32F105VCT6. I read Introduction to USB hardware and PCB guidelines using STM32 MCUs(AN4879) and it said that STM32F105/STM32F107 has Pull-up resistor on USB_DP line.Question 1Can I design USB schematic with no Pull-up resistor on USB_DP? And no need any config about embedded Pull-up resistor in software?Question 2Should I put some resistor between USB connector and STM32F105 on both USB D+,D- ? If yes, what value should add. This is example schematic from stm32 bluepill. I saw there are resistor between USB connector and STM32F103 Thank you for your answer

At the beginning of the program, I first performed a write-then-read operation on register 00 using I²C timing. I wrote 0x04 to register 00, and this worked correctly. However, when I used the same method to perform a write-then-read operation on register 03, I wrote 0x07 to register 03,but when I read register 03, the returned value was 0x08.  Can you tell me why this problem might occur? What are the possible reasons?

Good evening (o;Google and this forum didn't return much information regarding accessing a GPIO port directly in 8-bit mode for read/write...for example to control a 8-bit TFT module...The HAL library also has no function for it....I assume it is possible..but only when digging more into low-level direct register access?thanks in advancerichard

Hi, I'm experiencing some issues on Linux with code generation in MX. The system I'm running is:STM32CubeMX version 6.12.1Pop!_OS (Ubuntu based) version 22.04Generating code for a Nucleo-H755ZI-Q [although I doubt this matters] Specifically, when clicking the "Generate Code" button in MX, nothing happens and the following Java error is logged in the background: 2024-09-24 19:39:38,855 [ERROR] ProjectManagerView:732 - com.teamdev.jxbrowser.ObjectClosedException: Attempted to use a closed object. You're trying to call a method of a closed object. Usually, it happens when youcall the `close()` method of an object (or its owner) prior to calling methodsof that object.Another common cause of this exception is working with cached DOM or JavaScriptobjects. For example, if you navigate to another web page and try to calla method of a DOM or a JavaScript object from the previous page, you will getthis exception. It's also possible that the native Chromium process has crashed. Hello I am developing on the NUCLEO-H563ZI board a system in which I need to obtain an IP address via DHCP.I have implemented the client following the guidelines of the documentation provided by ST as well as THREADX and NETXDUO and, I have strange behavior. The system rarely completes all message transaction between the NUCLEO board and the DHCP server on my system. It usually stays alltime in a loop sending a DISCOVER and  ignoring the server's OFFER response. From time to time, it succeds to perform the full message cycle DISCOVER-OFFER-REQUEST-ACK, but then remains in a loop continuously performing a REQUEST and ignoring the ACK.I think I have a runtime or thread priority problem. I've tried everything and I can't get out of this dynamic. The hardware works with other codes (not using DHCP).I'm stalled here. This is the code that I'm using:NX_PACKET_POOL dhcp_client_pool;NX_IP client_ip;NX_DHCP dhcp_client;TX_THREAD dhcp_client_thread;CHAR *pointer;UCHAR message[50] = "

I am trying to use the backup SRAM but get a hard fault when writing to the memory. I have unlocked the backup domain, enabled the backup regulator, and enabled the clock. I have a Nucleo 144-pin F746ZG and I want to configure the user button (PC13, pulled to ground according to MB1137 schematic) to toggle an onboard LED on a falling edge via EXTI interrupt.I am using this sequence to initialize the interrupt handling:1) Initialize SYSCFG.2) Initialize GPIOC Clock.3) Initialize GPIO registers for PC13, Falling Edge Trigger and Unmask.4) Initialize SYSCFG_EXTICR, followed by ISER. An issue I am running into is that on a falling edge it always triggers an interrupt after the initialization is done, even when I pull the pin low via PUPDR. Upon unmasking EXTI_IMR, the EXTI_PR bit is set to 1. If I change the order of the steps the issue goes away, but I doubt I am supposed to do this. What am I overlooking?

Hi, I've been trying to get an i2c connection working between two nucleo boards however nothing i have tried has worked. i am using the NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q and the NUCLEO-H723ZG both with i2c1 and on the same pins pb8(scl) and pb9(sba). for the H755 dual core I have the i2c on the M4 both for initiation and using the interface. None of the clock settings have been changed and should work with the schematics and the config settings in the mx file are identical. I did remove several SB jumpers on each board however they were to free up pins from the usb and ethernet ports and other i2c devices have worked it the ports since. I tried using a logic analyzer to see what was happening and it does not look right but I'm still not sure what is happening. the i2c master transmit uses HAL_I2C_IsDeviceReady and gets HAL_OK as a return, the first bit is received but the other two are not and this always returns with HAL_ERROR both by the transmit and slave receive functions. So far i have tried:Ex

Hi, in my application I intend to use the LSM6DSV16X in order to store accelerometer, gyroscope, SFLP and QVar data, all at the same time.I am able to get XL, G and SFLP data from the FIFO on INT1 correctly, and now I want to also record QVar data.Based off of the example provided here: https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STMems_Standard_C_drivers/blob/master/lsm6dsv16x_STdC/examples/lsm6dsv16x_qvar_read_data_polling.c , I was able to get QVar data alone by routing it to the INT2 pin, however when I also enable the FIFO, I don't receive the data ready interrupts anymore. Is there an incompatibility between these functions that I missed by reading the datasheet ? Here is the code that I am using to set up the sensor (the commented out section are the commands that prevent QVar data from getting output):int lsm6dsv16x_start_acquisition(bool enable_gbias) { lsm6dsv16x_pin_int_route_t pin1_int; lsm6dsv16x_pin_int_route_t pin2_int; lsm6dsv16x_fifo_sflp_raw_t fifo_sflp; lsm6dsv16x_

Hello! I am developing a custom stm32f413rgt6 board to interface with a thermal camera. I am having some difficulty getting my first upload going on STM32CubeIDE and would really appreciate some help. I believe my hardware schematic is sound, and the issue is something with settings. Nonetheless, I will attach everything. Here is my error from CubeIDE:My settings: Im using an STLinkv2 from Digikey and have connected the VCC, SWDIO, SWCLK, and GND. Since the system is getting 3V, I also tried modifying the hardware to boost it up to 3.3V which succeeded hardware-wise but did not resolve my problem.I have SYS configured on CubeIDE as well:I attempted also connecting it to CubeProgrammer but am unable to establish communication with the board from the STLink. I kept getting: Per settings:I also tried uploading with RST pin pulled low per the setting above to no luck on both programmer attempts. I'd very much appreciate any and all assistance! Thank you,Justin

Hi All,I am new for STM32F105VCT6. When I want to debug by using STM32CubeProgrammer, I can not see devices list for STM32F105 as picture. My question is can I select STM32F107 for debug STM32F105. If it can not, What should I use for dubugging STM32F105? Thank you for your answer.

I'm struggling with entering RDP level 1 using the ST Cubemx code examples.  I am stuck with OPTVERR bit set and never being successful in getting FLASH_OPTR RDP bits set to 0xBB AND written into flash so that it boots using 0xBB and not 0xAA.  (I can write 0xBB into the register, but 0xBB does not reach flash.)  The programmatic sequence seems straightforward, but I can't get the low level/HAL libraries to do what the examples claim they do.From a practical standpoint, all I really want is a binary image I can use to program parts (and be able to read back so I can verify Flash contents.   My assumption is that a binary image at RDP level 1 will not allow read verification of the programmed data so to ensure the initial image is 'readable so the device programmer can verify it', I'm trying to enter RDP level 1 programmatically (so my binary image is initially readable but immediately sets RDP 1 when it runs the first time.)If there is another way to generate a

Dear STMicroelectronics Support,I am writing to express my urgent need for the necessary drivers to use my STM32 Blue Pill development board with STM32CubeProg on a Windows 10 64-bit system. I have been unable to find or install the correct drivers despite extensive searching and troubleshooting. This delay is significantly hindering my project progress and causing considerable frustration. I kindly request your immediate attention to this matter.I have attached for your reference. Please let me know if any additional information is required.Thank you for your prompt assistance.

Hello all,A very good morning, I hope you all have the good day.I am developing the AVAS project taking the base code(shown in the snippet) from the AutoDevKit.Here my requirement is I need to increase the sound from speed 0 to 20kmph and sound should decrease from 21 to 30kmph. For this requirement I need to increase and decrease the sound gradually. Initially I was using playsound() API where gain is fixed so I was not able to increase or decrease the sound. Now I am using playsoundwithgain() API, where I am changing the gain with respect to the speed this is affecting the quality of sound and I am getting so much of noise. So I wanted to know1. How to increase and decrease the sound linearly which API I need to use?.2. Which parameter should be varied with respect to speed whether volume or gain or something something else has to be done.It will be very useful to me if I get suggestions on my issues. Thanks & Regards,Aishwarya UM

Hi everyone,I’m trying to download a free license for the Hightech compiler from the following link:https://register.hightec-rt.com/st/spc5x/Unfortunately, the page returns the following error:This page isn’t workingThe site register.hightec-rt.com is currently unable to handle this request.HTTP ERROR 500Has anyone else encountered this issue, or managed to resolve it? Hi,I have recently started working with AutoDevKitStudio and tried some of the example codes. When I wanted to modify example code and add more pins in Pin Map editor, after saving my changes and generating them I couldn't see newly defined ports in autogenerated components\spc58ecxx_board_initialization_component_rla\cfg\board.h file.I'm using AutoDevKitStudio 2.4.0 and as said I'm pretty unexperienced with it. I followed YouTube tutorial and official documentation but I still can't see my newly added pins. The same happens if I try to modify some parameters of the components defined in example. After saving and doing full build again, i can't see my changes in generated code. Am I missing some steps here? BR,MaraLo

I'm using a custom board with an STM32U5F7. Written a program(with nothing else configured other than clock and FDCAN) that simply sends out a message via FDCAN (in classis mode, 500kbps) which I'm hoping to receive using a P-CAN. When probing the TX line going to my transceiver using an oscilloscope there seems to be no data being transmitted, the line is just pulled high to 3V3.  The same board populated with an STM32U599 running a new project with the same configuration and same code is able to successfully send messages which I can scope on the TX line. With the STM32U5F7, I have tried internal loopback mode to rule out any hardware related issues (following the FDCAN loopback walkthrough on ST's YouTube) but I'm not receiving messages as well. Not sure what to make of this or how to diagnose and fix the issue I'm facing any further than this. Any input would be highly appreciated

I have been working on a project that intends to utilize the SPI ST bootloader to load code to a board. Using a Nucleo-H723ZG and Nucleo-G0B1RE dev boards, I made a driver to interface with the ST bootloader over SPI and was successfully able to get it to work. The actual project is intended to work with STML47s and STML49s, so the next step was getting a Nucleo-L476RG and after a little tweaking, I was able to get the driver working with this dev board. Finally, I'm now trying to get the driver to work with a Nucleo-L496ZG and for the life of me I can't get it to work. I'm pretty confident in the driver that I have made as it works with both the L476 and G0B1 Nucleo boards and the specific error I'm running into doesn't feel like an issue with my code. The specifics of what I'm seeing on the L496 is that the SPI protocol will never complete the synchronization sequence. No matter what I do, the L496 always sends 0xA5. I've tried increasing the amount of time that I wait for the 0x79 AC

Good morning, in the user manual "STM32 Nucleo-144 boards" is written that the HSE clock is linked to a 8 MHz oscillator. But when I enable the HSE clock in the .ioc file, the value is 25 MHz. I don't understand if the HSE clock is 8 MHz or 25 MHz. Thank you

As we've been integrating the ST25R3916 into our final hardware, there's been an issue with the Adjust Regulators command. On external supply power, the command works without any problems. On some (not all) of our battery-powered units, as tested in the field, the Adjust Regulators command never returns, so NFC is unable to initialize. The weird part is that when a tag is held inside the field during initialization, the command completes without any issues and NFC initializes. I assume this is because the tag increases impedance while it pulls power, but this should not be necessary and our system is able to handle the current. The two traces below show initialization with a tag in the field (first), and failure without a tag in the field (second). At no point does the 2.8V rail dip, so I don't see this as an issue with the power supply.VDD_2.8 (green)VDD_D (red)VDD_AM (blue)VDD_RF (yellow)I tried with every value of RFO driver resistance, and none worked. Setting the regulated voltage

I need to generate a timestamp for data logging, but I'm not sure how to do it.The data packets are received via the UART at a 100ms rate and each packet of data consists of 10 bytes of serial dataByte 0: TemperatureByte 1: Voltage high byteByte 2: Voltage low byteByte 3: Current high byteByte 4: Current low byteByte 5: Consumption high byteByte 6: Consumption low byteByte 7: Rpm high byteByte 8: Rpm low byteByte 9: 8-bit CRCThese data packets are written to an SD card, but I need to prepend each data packet with a timestamp.I initially considered using the RTC then converting it to a 32-bit UNIX time, but then realised several issues:1.  The precision of UNIX time is only 1 second, but the rate of the data packets is currently 100ms (this could be changed to a faster rate such as 10ms).  2. The other extreme is that the UNIX time contains year, month and day.  This would not be needed for every data packet, its wasteful to store this when each data packet is being

Hello!  I am another programmer that doesn't want to use the ThreadX and Microsoft Azure OS in order to implement device USB on an STM32U5 series processor, as I have some very time-critical real-time peripheral operation that I need to get working, I don't need an OS for my application, and I want to avoid all of the extra, highly complicated new code.  I am fairly used to ST's USB libraries of old and would be much more comfortable working with the classic model. Our client is also not looking forward to writing custom Windows device drivers for a custom Vendor and Product ID, and I have read that it is difficult to get ST to sub-license a Product ID under the ST Vendor ID, let alone create another driver package for this (a CDC class), so I have chosen to implement a HID class.  Even though it runs slower, it is less installation hassle and the problem of Vendor and Product ID's is less of a problem (we have our own Vendor and Product ID, and we don't even need to writ
