Hello ,I am working with stm32h747. M4 .ld File FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x08100000, LENGTH = 1024K M7 .ld File FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x08000000, LENGTH = 1024K With the above settings I can run Core M7 and M4 properly.I need more flash on the m7 side and I want to separate the flash as follows M4 .ld File FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x081E0000, LENGTH = 128K M7 .ld File FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x08000000, LENGTH = 1896KI also make adjustments with cube programer as in the picture.Core m7 works but m4 doesn't seem to work.I think I'm missing something or doing something wrong. Can you help me?Codes are as followsCM4 Main  Code :  int main(void) { MPU_Config(); __HAL_RCC_HSEM_CLK_ENABLE(); HAL_HSEM_ActivateNotification(__HAL_HSEM_SEMID_TO_MASK(HSEM_ID_0)); HAL_PWREx_ClearPendingEvent(); HAL_PWREx_EnterSTOPMode(PWR_MAINREGULATOR_ON, PWR_STOPENTRY_WFE, PWR_D2_DOMAIN); __HAL_HSEM_CLEAR_FLAG(__HAL_HSEM_SEMID_TO_MASK(HSEM_ID_0)); HAL_Init(); MX_MDMA_Init(); MX_DMA_Init(); MX_GPIO_I

I am using the STM32H7B3I-DK for my project. I am trying to integrate uSD card usage with a touchgfx program. I have gotten a simple write to a file working on a non rtos project; however, when I use it in my project with RTOS I keep getting a hard fault. I had to make the SDMMC have a clock divider of 2 to get it to work on non-rtos. Are there some conflicts with FreeRTOS that I need to be considering? Here is the code I am using in both: FRESULT res; /* FatFs function common result code */ UINT byteswritten, bytesread; /* File write/read counts */ uint8_t wtext[] = "STM32 FATFS works great!"; /* File write buffer */ uint8_t rtext[_MAX_SS];/* File read buffer */ [...] BYTE work[4096]; // Work area for formatting /* USER CODE BEGIN 5 */ printf("Starting\r\n"); if(f_mount(&SDFatFS, (TCHAR const*)SDPath, 1) != FR_OK) { printf("Failed to mount -- Formatting\r\n"); if (f_mkfs(SDPath, FM_FAT32, 0, work, sizeof(work)) != FR_OK) { printf("Failed to format SD ca

I have followed How to create a file system on a SD card using STM32CubeIDE the best I can using the STM32H7B3I-DK. With this board I do not see the DMA tab under SDMMC1, so I have skipped that. I am failing the f_mount(). I am using a touchGFX project and a 128GB microSD card. The failure occurs while calling fmount(). I have debugged and got the following stack: HardFault_Handler() at stm32h7xx_it.c:93 0x8007d6e <signal handler called>() at 0xfffffff1 memcpy() at 0x8036658 prvCopyDataToQueue() at queue.c:2,102 0x8020a04 xQueueGenericSendFromISR() at queue.c:995 0x80202d4 osMessageQueuePut() at cmsis_os2.c:1,766 0x801ef94 touchgfx::OSWrappers::signalVSync() at OSWrappers.cpp:95 0x8002de2 HAL_LTDC_LineEventCallback() at TouchGFXGeneratedHAL.cpp:196 0x8005a2e HAL_LTDC_IRQHandler() at stm32h7xx_hal_ltdc.c:713 0x8011446 LTDC_IRQHandler() at stm32h7xx_it.c:233 0x8007df2 <signal handler called>() at 0xffffffed SDMMC_GetCmdResp1() at stm32h7xx_ll_sd

Hello,I am using STEVAL-STWINKT1B development board and I can write and read sd card using setting to SD 4 bits Wide Bus and FATFS.If I add on STM32CUBEMX as middleware FREERTOS I can't read the SD in fact I get back FR_NOT_READY when I execute the f_open method. How can I solve this problem?

Hello Community,I have a NOR Flash memory connected to my MCU (STM32U585) by QUAD-SPI. I plan to use the indirect mode, for erasing and programming the contents of the flash, in one context of my program. And in another context, exclusive of the other, use memory mapped mode to exploit the data already programmed in the flash.I understand that indirect mode and memory mapped mode are exclusive. I do not expect to use the two modes at the same time. But I would like to have confirmation that it is possible to switch back and forth from indirect to memory mapped mode, whenever necessary.Thanks.Eric Lucazeau

Hi everyone,   I have a STWIN.BOX (STEVAL-STWINBX1) and I have played around with the code examples in Python provided on the tfp-sns-datalog2 repository. The idea is to use this device to provide readings to a Raspberry Pi board and make some decisions based on the data. I am not an expert in Python, but I coded a simple script to read the sensors using the repository, getting the hsdatalog_cli.py as an example, and using this data as input to the Raspberry Pi board. The thing is, I can read the sensors only if I start logging (using the start_log method provided by the script hsdatalog_cli.py), and since the log has started, it will generate .dat files. So, every time I run the algorithm inside the Raspberry Pi, new .dat files are generated, and the file sizes depend on how long the board is running the algorithm. I have tried to get data from the sensors without starting logging, but I have failed. Is there any way of getting data from the sensors without generating the dat fil

Hello All,I am looking for the best suitable MCU for the IPL device. If there are any best options available with the STM then kindly suggest me. Regards,ShivD

Hello,I'm working on a software port from a STM32F413 to a STM32H573. I'm done with the application but I'm facing issues with the bootloader. On H5 it looks like it's possible to write flash only with 128 bits sections. On F4 it was possible with 8 bits and 32 bits.In order to handle the legacy code, I've writen this function that reads the 128 bits, replaces a part by my 8 new bits and then writes it back. Here the code:   static bool _BOARD_writeFlash(WORD_SIZE wordSize, uint32_t* writeData, uint32_t writeAdr) { bool ret = true; if (HAL_OK == HAL_FLASH_Unlock()) { if (WORD_SIZE_8 == wordSize) // uint8 { uint32_t quadWord[4]; // Array to hold 16 bytes (128 bits) uint32_t alignedAddress = writeAdr & ~0xF; // Align address to 16-byte boundary while (__HAL_FLASH_GET_FLAG(FLASH_FLAG_BSY)) { // Wait for the flash controller to be ready } __HAL_FLASH_CLEAR_FLAG(FLASH_FLAG_ALL_ERRORS); // Read the current quadword from flash (16 bytes) for (int i = 0; i &lt

In STM32CubeIDE in the SYS tab there is a checkbox called "Serial Wire". When I check it, it highlights the two ports used for serial wire debugging. But that's all it seems to do. Is this just a helper to let me know where the debug pins are?

I just bought a STM32MP257F-EVAL and wanted to download the Linux Version of STM32CubeIDE.I tried downloading it. It doesn't work. Seems that it is stuck in a Loop.I tried different OS, browsers and even tried in edge browser.I even installed the fresh OS, still the issue persists. Please help me regarding this. The eval board makes no sense if I can't use it.

Hi,i am developing an embedded software based on the TCP Client example for CubeMX. During tests with large number of packets I have got an hard fault error. It seems that it happens on a re-transmit. The hard fault can be easy reproduced with original code. For this the right IP address must be set. Also the packet count should be increased to have time to remove the LAN cable while running. The Project was setup like this:   My only modification:#define TCP_SERVER_ADDRESS IP_ADDRESS(192, 168, 0, 213)#define MAX_PACKET_COUNT 10000 Here a screenshot:It seems that a pointer gets damaged as the address 0xF338000 makes no sense. Best regards,Roman Thiel

Hi, I am trying to check the oscillator tuning of our boards and did some reference testing with a WB55 Nucleo. using aci_hal_tone_start. Using 0,0 I do get an output near 2.402GHz, but not quite were I would expect it. The header says the following: /** * @brief ACI_HAL_TONE_START * This command starts a carrier frequency, i.e. a tone, on a specific channel. * The frequency sine wave at the specific channel may be used for debugging * purpose only. The channel ID is a parameter from 0x00 to 0x27 for the 40 BLE * channels, e.g. 0x00 for 2.402 GHz, 0x01 for 2.404 GHz etc. * This command should not be used when normal Bluetooth activities are * ongoing. * The tone should be stopped by ACI_HAL_TONE_STOP command. * * @PAram RF_Channel BLE Channel ID, from 0x00 to 0x27 meaning (2.402 + * 0.002*0xXX) GHz * Device will continuously emit 0s, that means that the tone will be at * the channel center frequency minus the maximum frequency deviation * (250 kHz). * Values:

HiI'm trying to communicate from a STM32WB5MMG via a ST25R3916B to a ISO14443-A tag.I use the X-CUBE-NFC6 RFAL library with ST25R3916B, RFAL_FEATURE_NFCA and RFAL_FEATURE_T2T set.Both ST25R self-tests fail:ST25R_SELFTEST returns RFAL_ERR_TIMEOUTST25R_SELFTEST_TIMER returns RFAL_ERR_SYSTEM (2nd)Without self-tests, I can read the tag, but writing fails with RFAL_ERR_INCOMPLETE_BYTE.Can you give me a hint?Thanks, Daniel

Hello, I have a STM32F407 microcontroller with a FSMC interface, which I would like to use to drive this display: NHD-5.0-800480AF-ASXP. The display has a RGB interface.   Should I get a RGB board? Or can I drive it directly with the microcontroller? Is that a time intensive solution?   Thanks to everyone who replies, I appreciate it very much.

Hello everyone,I wanted to ask if this is an error or if this is documented right:When you take a look in the latest RM0444 Rev 5 reference manual on page 1373 there are the DBG registers explained. The "DBG device ID code register (DBG_IDCODE)"  for the STM32G071xx and STM32G081xx do have for the Revision Code Z and Revision Number 1.1 the REV_ID 0x1000. The same REV_ID is used for Revision code A and Revision number 1.0. I attached a screenshot of the manual. Is this a typo or do they really have the same REV_ID for Revision code A and Z?On the next page, the devices G031 and G041 are described, here with differing REV_ID`s. I think this should be the same for STM32G071xx.Please let me know, if my assumption is true. And if this is not a typo, is there a way to find out what Revision number/code my G071 MCU does actually have? Thanks in advance,Michael

Hi folks,I am facing one issue for  external flash in memory map mode, I am using stm32U585 . I am unable to write/read/access external flash(NOR) while in memory mode. but in Indirect memory mode  all actions are working.but in manual they have given as shown below. its showing not recommended, but its not like its not possible. anyone can help me ,  how can I achieve OCTOSPI1 (QUADSPI) interface in memory map mode.

Is it possible to change the color of the image or icon I created via GUI or code? The color of the .svg icons in Touchgfx's own native files can be changed via GUI, but I could not change the color of the .svg or .png images I created. There is no function called image.setcolor in the code. Is there a way to change the color of the image I created? Thanks

Hello. I could find the Build analyzer window, but it is blank, even after, build, run, or debug... any idea? Thanks

Hi everyone I'm rather new with programming with STM32 controllers and I am currently using NUCLEO-L432KC. Currently I'm facing a problem with HAL_GPIO_WritePin() function. I am interfacing with a 16x2 LCD and I am trying to write to the RS pin via the function I have mentioned, however I am facing a problem where the RS isn't being set to the desired value I am providing. I have provided the value like so: HAL_GPIO_WritePin(RS_GPIO_Port, RS_Pin, rs);Where I have given rs = 0 but the function is setting the value as 1. I have also provided the photo of the RS pin configuration from the IOC file.

Hi all,Can someone help me find the programming manual (chapter-wise peripherals) for the STM32WB55VG controller? Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone,I am working with a NucleoU5A5 and a W25Q16 flash chip in quad SPI mode (using the OctoSPI peripheral). For a couple of days I couldn't get it to work reliably: reading multiple bytes would fail on certain byte values coming from the flash chip. Specifically it would fail if three or four data lines were pulled high, but not if fewer than three data lines were pulled high. E.g. reading the value 0x03 would work fine (2 data bits high), but 0x07 would fail (3 data bits high).  Failure in this case means that the flash chip just stops responding at all. It's not like the signal gets distorted in any way (I looked at the analog signal with a scope). As I am still in an exploratory phase, the flash chip is connected to CN10 of the Nucleo board with 100mm wires. I noticed exactly the same behavior with clock frequencies from 100 kHz to 16 MHz.I found this post but don't believe that my issue is one with reflections and transmission line impedance. It get the feeling that th

I was going to buy a few STM32 boards from the eStore with the free shipping a few days ago, but it was showing it was no longer free shipping, so I just abandoned the cart.  Today I got an email advertising free shipping until Nov 30 trying to get me to buy the stuff I left in the cart.  As should be obvious, December 2nd is after that date, and thus clicking the link to buy the stuff with free shipping just gets me back to where I was.  You really shouldn't send out emails offering expired offers (or should make the link work with free shipping if that is your goal).
