 Hello, My question is about language Embedded C.char data[100] = "300 0";uint8_t* data_a = strtok(data, " "); // data_a printf result : "300"// printf results data_a[0] : '3', data_a[1] : '0', data_a[2] : '0'uint8_t* data_b = strtok(NULL, " "); // data_b printf result : "0" uint8_t data_c = atoi(data_a); // data_c print result : 44 // Why??????????uint8_t data_d = atoi(data_b); // data_d printf result : 0When the input is the string "300", why  is the output of the function "atoi" integer 44? Any help is greatly appreciated! Friendly regards, Tau

I working on motor control application with stm32g484ret6.Timer1 generates 3 PWM lines with complementary lines (with some deadtime) in center aligned mI have ADC readings to sample the phases current.Timer1 output trigger TRG0 is defined as update event, and the ADC external trigger conversion source is defined as Timer1 Trigger Out event.However, in this configuration the ADC is triggered twice for each PWM period - once in the middle of the ON time, and one in the middle of the OFF time.I want to receive only a single trigger for the ADC per PWM period (in the middle of either the on or off time) as the ADC conversion complete callback calls to my entire control algorithm.How can I config it?Thank you

It would be very useful to be able to use an external encoder using any serial protocol.I'm working with a RLS AksIM-2 with SPI, and I don't see an easy way to integrate this encoders with the code generated by the MC Workbench.As at the moment the only supported encoder is a quadrature encoder, I tried to create a fake timer and emulate a quadrature encoder, but It didn't work.

Hi,We are intending to use AIS2IH for one of our projects.We would like to change some settings while the device is running and see their effects on the performance/power consumption, in order to decide the best settings for our purpose.I would like to ask if we can change the below bitfields on the fly. If we can not, could you please provide the steps to change them correctly?CTRL1 register:ODRMODELP_MODECTRL6 register:FS (full scale selection)LOW_NOISEKind regards,Kerem

Continuing saga of attempting to run a TouchGFX demo on a NUCLEO-G071RB with X-NUCLEO-GFX01M2($AZ2).I connected the NUCLEO board, selected it in TouchGFXDesigner, then selected the relevant demo.Having installed the latest TouchGFXDesigner (4.24.2), STM32CubeMX, STM32CubeIDE, STM32CubeProgrammer, and VC_redist.x64 in Windows 11, the available examples now build without errors, except for Demo3 (bubbles), which the linker rejected as the board having insufficient RAM. All the other demos that I tried to run on the board got as far as connecting and erasing the external memory, where it hung up for at least 10 minutes with the ST-LINK LED flashing red/green.  Clicking the cancel button had no effect apart from greying the button. Only disconnecting the ST-LINK cancelled the loading process.The size of external memory being erased varied between the projects, e.g. 0..14 up to 0..24 sectors.

We placed two VL53L1X sensors at 18.6" in our temperature chamber. Over a 50C swing we saw up to 1.15" of variability. In the images bellow the chamber temperature stabilized around 30 minutes. The target was a large 24x24 sheet of white nylon 0.5" thickThe sensors were left on the entire time, polled every 10 seconds.SPAD ARRAY size 8x8Is there any way to improve this? Is it possible to access the temperature registers on the VL53L1x so we can create a variable to compensate for the temperature induced error?

Hi, I am building a custom board with stm32h7r3z8t6.  Have a problem with EXTI function: I use 2 EXTIs - EXTI8 in PD8 and EXTI9 on PC8. Both are defined as rising edge interrupt sources. Both pulled down and without any signal. Both are toggling LEDs. EXTI8 generates a square signal of 2.1MHz on the LED pin. EXTI9 nothing, never entering to the interrupt. The picture is the same if the signal source with 400KHz is connected to EXTI9 and EXTI8. system clock running at 600MHz HCLK at 300MHz. External crystal 48MHz.   I tried just reading pins and applying the value to LEDs - it works fine, so I guess, the pins are soldered well and not burned. Using ST-LINK3 Debugger.   The Signal on LED2_Pin:     void SystemClock_Config(void) {     if (HAL_PWREx_ConfigSupply(PWR_LDO_SUPPLY) != HAL_OK)   {     /* Initialization error */     Error_Handler();   }   RCC_OscInitTypeDef RCC_OscInitStruct = {0};   RCC_ClkInitTy

Hello, I'm having trouble reading single blocks in the M24LR64E-R tag I'm developing the app in Flutter and I'm trying to send the command in the following structure final command = [ flags, // flags 0x20, // Command: "Read Single Block" ...uid, // UID of NFC tag blockAddress // BlockAddress ]; However, it doesn't read it, I tested it with other tags in both the NfcA and NfcV standards and they read it, but this specific tag didn't Has anyone worked with this ic?

I installed the latest CubeIDE hosted on a Mac to demo a NUCLEO-H755 board over USB.  Starting from a clean CubeMX code generation, I've managed to successfully create a basic application to blink the user LEDs and use the pushbutton  (along with basic use of the debugger), but I would like to be able to configure the Virtual COM Port (VCP) to use as a debugging tool before proceeding to the next step of getting the Ethernet working.  Unfortunately, I have not been able to figure out how to get the VCP to work.  In CubeMX, I have USART3 selected as the VCP with the correct pins per the schematic, but for some reason the only available selection is "disabled".  I suspect this might be because the NUCLEO board support package (bsp) is somehow controlling configuration of the VCP and not allowing changes from CubeMX.  Here are my questions:1)  Does the NUCLEO bsp automatically configure the VCP, or is there some other way to configure?2) Do the VCP (over

from one moment to another the "device configuration tool" stopped working, it no longer shows anything when opening the .ioc file, the strangest thing is that it stopped doing it on all my computers almost simultaneously, and without even having updated the IDE or something .

Hi,does the STM32H563ZIT6 have an LDO and/or an SMPS? Contrary to other micros, I cannot find any table or details about it other than the block diagram common to the whole family (screenshot below) and it says "LDO and/or SMPS". Where on the datasheet can I find that information?Also, on table 14 (second screenshot) which one of the two LQFP columns should I consider (LQFP144 SMPS or LQFP144)?Datasheet: https://www.st.com/resource/en/datasheet/stm32h563ii.pdf Thank you

Hi, I am trying to integrate the VL53L8CX ULD driver with a project that utilizes chibios on an F4 based board.The TOF sensor firmware seems to be about 86KB. For a transfer of this size, the device fails to setup and use DMA-safe bouncebuffers. I cannot get it to transfer more than 9865 bytes at once. Can the VL53L8CX_WrMulti(...) calls be broken down into smaller chunks as a work around? If I understand correctly, this is using the auto increment feature of the I2C bus. So to further break the VL53L8CX_WrMulti(...) calls, I will have to ensure the address for each call is sent appropriately. So will this work?//in vl53l8cx_init(...)status |= VL53L8CX_WrMulti(&(p_dev->platform),0,(uint8_t*)&VL53L8CX_FIRMWARE[0],0x2000);status |= VL53L8CX_WrMulti(&(p_dev->platform),0x2000,(uint8_t*)&VL53L8CX_FIRMWARE[0x2000],0x2000);status |= VL53L8CX_WrMulti(&(p_dev->platform),0x4000,(uint8_t*)&VL53L8CX_FIRMWARE[0x4000],0x2000);status |= VL53L8CX_WrMulti(&(p_dev-&g

Im new to the STM32Cube IDE and trying to make a project with CDMI, the minimal idea is to take a picture on button click and send it to a PC via UART.This is not working, the I2C comunication is working and im getting both HAL_DCMI_LineEventCallback() and HAL_DCMI_VsyncEventCallback() triggering. The HAL_DCMI_FrameEventCallback() is never called and im always getting Buffer Error since (i belive) the image size is 320*240*3 and my buffer can only reach 65535.How can i aproach this problem?    Output UNSAM Space Snap Author: Marco A. Hi. I have a simple custom board with STM32F412CEU6. I can't connect to the MCU using the ST-LINK through SWD. Here is the circuit. I have tried different settings, still getting the error. I verified all the voltages and settings. They all seem ok. I also measured the signals on SWD. The only thing is the voltage level on SWD for the 0-V level looks suspicious. Can anyone help me to find the issue? Regards,Caner Alp Electronix

Hello ST Community,I am working on a custom bootloader for the STM32G473CCU6 microcontroller to enable firmware updates via the USB DFU interface. I am using the STM32CubeProgrammer API v2.17.0 | Windows-64Bits.The microcontroller has 256 KB of flash memory in dual banks, which is 128 sectors of 2 KB.Flags: BFB2 = 0, DBANK = 1.I need to erase sectors 1...125 and not erase sectors 0, 126, 127.I am trying to do this with the following function:int sectorErase(unsigned int sectors[],unsigned int sectorNbr, char* sFlashMemName = nullptr);But only 64 sectors (0...63) from bank 1 can be erased. Sectors from bank 2 are not erased.I tried using indexes (64...127) and (65280...65343)DisplayCallbacks output when erasing sectors 1, 2:Info: [INFO]: "\nFlash sector erase ... \n"Info: [UNKNOWN]: "DFU status = 0 : OK"Info: [UNKNOWN]: "DFU state = 5 : dfuDNLOAD-IDLE"Info: [UNKNOWN]: "Status: 0, State: 5"Info: [UNKNOWN]: "sending a page erase request @: 0x08000800"Info: [UNKNOWN]: "data: 4100080008"Inf

Hi everyone,I get stuck with an issue and can't figure what to do.I implemented on a STM32l071 a I2C slave and using DMA with circular buffer, I am using HAL with CubeMX generated code.The microcontroller is by default in stop mode, so when something communicates with the microcontroller with I2C, the microcontroller wakes up by I2c address match, then do what it has to do, then return in stop mode.All that I have implemented seems to work well.The custom board we are using consume around 22µA when the microcontroller is in stop mode.The problem is:When I disconnect only the SDA line before SCL line, the board consume arround 321µA .(I can then disconnect and reconnect all lines it doesn't change the result).Then If a send a read or write I2C frame with the master with SCL connected, (SDA connected or not), the board consumption go back to normal at 22µA.Before entering stop mode, I clear all power flag and I2c flag just in case.I also activate an output pin in order to see if som

 Hello ST Community,I’m encountering significant difficulties connecting to and debugging my STM32 microcontroller and would greatly appreciate your guidance.After erasing the full chip flash memory and uploading my code, the microcontroller initially worked as expected. Hi all,I'm very new to the STM32 world but still trying to figure out how things work.I have installed the STM32CubIDE software without issue, but my problems start when I try to develop and upload a blink application.No matter what I do, the ST-Link server starts but is unable to find the connected "Blue Pill" (BP) board.  The LED power lights on both the ST-Link and the BP board are on, but that's as far as it goes.The BP board that I have has three small push buttons, the usual power rest button and two others labeled HRST and BOOT0.  It does not have the big jumper header that I see in most on-line images.   I'm not sure (and cannot find) information on how these buttons should be treated and what their purpose is.Can anyone suggest how I should go about troubleshooting further?Many thanksLuke.  VK4KYT

Hi STM Community !!We use the STM32MP1 on our board.We use the gpio feature for an IRQ in our system.We use it in a kernel module.With the Ecosystem v5, it worked perfectly, but we used#define PIN_FPGA_INTA (16 + 10)static struct gpio gpio_irq_pps = {PIN_FPGA_INTA, GPIOF_IN, "IRQ PPS FPGA"};...if (gpio_request_one(gpio_irq_pps.gpio, gpio_irq_pps.flags, gpio_irq_pps.label)) {printk("Fail of gpio_request for PPS_INT(B10 pin) :( \n");}irq_num_pps = gpio_to_irq(gpio_irq_pps.gpio);if (irq_num_pps < 0) {printk("Fail to use GPIO B10 as PPS Interrupt :( \n");gpio_free(PIN_FPGA_INTA);}// set interrupt for PPSret = request_irq(irq_num_pps, pps_irq_handler, IRQF_TRIGGER_FALLING, "pnt_fpga_int_a", NULL);if (ret != 0) {printk("Interrupt Request Failed for INT_PPS: %d\n", ret);gpio_free(PIN_FPGA_INTA);} elseprintk("Interrupt PPS OK\n");...Now, in the Ecosystem v6, we need to move to new gpiod kernel functions, because gpio_* functions are deprecated.So, in the DTS In the DTS we have :/ {...my_gpi

Hi,I want to add support for the "Opus" audio codec to my STM32H7 product. I found that ST has already developed middleware for Opus called "X-CUBE-OPUS." I expected to find it in STM32CubeMX under "Pinout & Configuration" -> "Software Packs" -> "Manage Software Pack" -> STMicroelectronics. However, I couldn't find the package there. Instead, I downloaded the package from the ST site (https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/x-cube-opus.html#overview) and tried to add it using the "From Local" button, but I encountered an error.How should I add the middleware to my existing project? I don't need an explanation project; I just want to add the middleware to my current project.Thanks for the help.
