Hello,I am using an STM32WB55 and am trying to figure out how to get the current time including milliseconds using an RTC and display that time in 6 byte hex format. I would most likely call the GetTime() based of a millisecond timer if that is the most efficient way to do it.For example I would like the time to return like this (0x017FB1731312)Any help or example on this would really be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

here's a link to the GitHub issue containing the build output: https://github.com/giff25/MotorTest/issuesI double checked to make sure the HAL_TIM module was enabled, and followed the chain to the .h file itself and still haven't noticed any reason why the linker wouldn't see the TIM functionsIm using a nucleo board and the toolchain is as follows:built the project using CubeMX (including configuring the timer and pwm channels)Using VSCode with STM32 VS Code extensionany help would be appreciated

In my app, I need MCU to go to stop mode and then wake up by RTC timer. I follow this RTC wake up example and manage to make MCU go to stop mode for a few seconds and then wake up. Because in my app, we want MCU to wake up once in a few hours instead of a few seconds. The problem occurs when I try to increase the counter by 1000 times, the stop mode duration is still a few seconds. Can someone enlighten me what the issue is? Does the time counter have limit? It is an unsigned 32 bit integer, which can be very large. Or is it constrained by hardware?

Good morning community,I am using the STM32L496QGI6 for a certain application using the uart to send and receive messages, in this case it always gives me symbols even with the baudrate correctly configured, I have checked the clock configuration and it is correct for 80Mhz but when checking by means of a 70ms pulse on any pin it tends to have a phase shift of almost 10%, the SYS has been configured with the TIM3, what is the cause of this phase shift, how can I correct it? I have tested the same configuration with an STM32L476 and everything works correctly.

Hello!I would like to report a bug. Using STM32CubeIDE 1.16.0 and the integrated STM32CubeMX 6.12.0 i encountered a bug regarding OCTOSPI and MDMA on STM32H723ZGT6 MCU. Inside HAL_SPI_Receive_DMA(handle, pdata); where the HAL_MDMA_Start_IT is called the destination and source pointers are/were swapped resulting so the DMA was writing 64 bytes into the DR register which was crashing my application. Swapping these 2 attributes fixed the issue and is now working as intended, below im adding the swapped code where the commented out line is the false one (incorrect one). Thanks for your time. I hpe some ST employee sees this and fixes it but if not at least someone will be aware of the issue when he finds it on google

Hi,I'll need one NUCLEO-H7A3ZI-Q in about a month. But next week the Trump administration takes over here in the USA and he promised to impose tariffs on Chinese products. I remember last time he was in office. Almost everything electronics got an extra fee (tariffs) when ordering (from digikey, mouser, etc). Are these nucleo boards made in China? Will they get more expensive next week if tariffs are imposed? I rather buy it today and save some money. I know for some people a few bucks is no big deal but money is tight for me right now. Thanks

Can anyone give a hint on where to look for proper documentation on CAN bus development? I see some primitive examples online, though there are a lot of moments that are not explained as they shouldFor example, CAN filtering and identificator masking are not reflected anywhere (as far as I look). Am I missing something? The CAN standard specification is there, of course. Should it be fullfilling in regard of development for STM?Sorry if I'm breaking local ethics of asking a questionThank you

Hi all,  I am using STM32U575ZIT nucleo board.  My goal is to write ODR register of GPIOD by using GPDMA transfer, using TIM2 to trigger the memory-to-peripheral transfer. In this "test" script, I use a 2-elements source array to force ODR all high and then all low. I want this operation to be continuous, hence the GPDMA is configured in circular mode. The configurations of TIM and GPDMA are attached as PNG, while the code lines in the main.c are the following: TIM2->DIER = TIM2->DIER|TIM_DIER_UDE; TIM2->DIER = TIM2->DIER|TIM_DIER_TDE; uint16_t prova[2] = {0xFFFF, 0x0000}; HAL_DMA_Start(&handle_GPDMA1_Channel0, (uint32_t)prova, (uint32_t)&(GPIOD->ODR), 4); HAL_TIM_OC_Start(&htim2,TIM_CHANNEL_1); What I see is that the timer signal is correct (1Hz freq), but the GPDMA seems not working (ODR never written)I think one of the main problem is that it's not clear to me yet the difference between trigger and request. Could you please help me? Thanks

HI We are thinking about a method for detecting people.   The prerequisite is that we need to detect people by penetrating a plastic case with a thickness of about 3mm (white). The existing PIR cannot penetrate the case, and radar sensors are expensive. So we are considering TOF...   The key is to detect people by penetrating the plastic case. I wonder if it is possible.

This morning:Is it intended that the 'STM32CubeMX 6.13.0 code generation issue for STM32CubeIDE toolchain on macOS is fixed' post is listed twice?

Ive been trying to use the FDCAN systembootloader from a stm32H757XI, in the past i managed to use the CAN systembootloader from a stm32f405RE succcesfully. But im getting> nothing , i tried with 125 and 250Kbauds, CAN connceted to PH14 and PH13   Is FDCAN systembootloader compatible with STLINKV3+CubeProgrammer?

Is FDCAN Systembootloader described in AN5405supported by cubeProgrammer or the CLI tools?Because i only see the CAN (classic) option

Hello,we use the STM32G474 with a single supply voltage of 3V3 at the VDD Pins.At the moment we investigate defective microcontrollers. The Microcontrollers are defective after several hours with the 3V3 VDD voltage supplied. The defective is an increase current consumption and not working i2c-interfaces.We connect two i2c-Interfaces with Pullups to 5V and at the moment we discuss if the 5V could be the rootcouse of the defective. For i2c1 we use PB9 (FT_f) and PB8 (FT_f) For i2c2 we use PA8 (FT_a) und PA9 (FT_fda) The FT I/O structure should be 5V Tolerant.I have found discussions of the maximum input voltages in your communityhttps://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/what-is-the-maximum-input-voltage-that-can-be-applied-to-my/ta-p/49613 with these section:For the I2C Interface we use the microcontrollers  Alternate Function Modules and it think the alternate function module configures the I/Os as Open-Drain Output or Input.Am i right that it it is not allowed to

Hello everyone, does anyone know what type this is?I'm having a hard time finding it on the internet, I have a little problem and need to use this tool to make it work.

Hi Guys,I need some help / input:I am trying to get the communication running between my Nucleo H7A3 and a Shield with a ISSI QuadSPI RAM in a SOP-8 Package running.Scenario:I am debugging with my Scope, I have a digital Probe on all 6 lines (CSn, Clock and DIO0-3) and I can see the communication.First issue:I am sending the command "0x05 - read mode register". I can see the outgoing communication on the scope, I can see the incoming communication on the scope. I can see on the scope that the RAM is sending a response - with the default Mode Register Value. But the Variable I am reading ins, is not updated with that value. My Code:  OSPI_RegularCmdTypeDef cmd = {0}; uint8_t buf[4] = {0,}; cmd.Instruction = SRAM_CMD_RDMR; // instruction byte cmd.InstructionMode = HAL_OSPI_INSTRUCTION_1_LINE; // mode of the instruction cmd.InstructionSize = HAL_OSPI_INSTRUCTION_8_BITS; // size of the instruction cmd.DataMode = HAL_OSPI_DATA_1_LINE; // data mode: 1 Li

Hi I was wondering the recommendation on dynamically loading containers a screen vs pre populating the screen with containers. Here is the situation, when the display loads up, is receives data from a controller. The screen for the display displays x amount of container A according to what the controller sent to the screen. This can be anywhere from 0-4 instances of the container. The user may also add/remove instances of the container. So now, according to this situation, I was thinking of dynamically populating the screen with x amount of container A. However. I am not sure whether this is recommended or not.The other option would be to put the max number of containers possible on the screen and make them invisible. Then only make x number visible once the screen loads.

Good morning,we are trying to program a RVA15MD + NUCLEO-C071RB display. When loading the TouchGFX Demo 4 the programming is not successful (see errors in the attachment). While with the TouchGFX Demo 8 everything loads correctly and the demo works. Can anybody shows me a solution? This demo contains a circular slider, where can I find a similar circular slider that I can process?

Hello everyone,I am currently developing a GUI for the STM32F469I Discovery Board using the TouchGFX IDE. The GUI works perfectly when updated through the TouchGFX IDE.However, when I attempt to update the same project using STM32CubeIDE, I encounter a blank screen on the board. Interestingly, the GUI works fine if I do not modify the project name in the .cproject, .project, and TouchGFX project files.I followed the steps outlined in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AizWAlbU4Og. But once I change the project name and import it into STM32CubeIDE, I only see a blank screen on the display.Could anyone suggest why this issue occurs after renaming the project and offer possible solutions to resolve it while changing the project name?Thank you in advance for your help!

IDE: STM32CubeIDE 1.17.0Board: NUCLEO-H7S3L8OS: Kubuntu 24.04 / Windows 10 I imported different example projects, but when I want to debug the project, I get this error"Failed to execute MI command:load /home/[User]/STM32CubeIDE/workspace_1.17.0/[Example]/STM32CubeIDE/Appli/Debug/[Example]_Appli.elf"(complete output below)I tried Linux Kubuntu 24.04 and Windows 10 (VirtualBox), the on board ST-Link v3 (JP1 open) and external ST-Link v3 (JP1 set). Then I created a new Project without any user code and it works.Next I tried an example project for NUCLEO-F446ZE (on board ST-Link v2-1) and it works fine, too. In addition, the example Project "LwIP_HTTP_Server_Raw" for H7S3L8 even caanot be imported. After pressing "Finish" the windows remains open with the error message "Fail to perform local copy" on top. With "Cancel", the example is not listed in the prject explorer, but is present on the file system (workspace). After this, the folder from the workspace can be impor

I see ST released long awaited Code for their bootloader compatible with STLINKV3+CubeProgr/CubeCLI...What about the Host side?, a STM32 hosting the bootloader process for another STM32, standalone.Any links or fingers pointing to people putting effort into this Bootloader Hosting stuff would be appreciated.

Hi all,we are developing a board based on STM32F429 chip.In particular I'm developing a composite USB device on USB OTG port, showing a custom device + a CDC device [ep 0x85, 0x06, 0x83] using USB_Device_Library code.Windows correctly shows 3 items: a composite device, a generic USB device with my custom label/name, a virtual serial port (COM8).When I try to open the virtual port (by Putty) I see nothing on the terminal but if I inspect with Wireshark I see an infinite loop of BulkIN request, BulkIn response with XACT_ERROR, a RESET_PIPE_AND_CLEAR_STALL with both request end reply.I'n wondering why I have the XACT_ERROR on BulkIn request: I'm not able to find the point. I break-pointed some code in the HAL_PCD_IRQHandler() routine but it's hard to step in an interrupt handler.Very similar code (but compiled for STM32MP135 demo board) is working correctly.I'm focusing on USB_OTG_GINTSTS_IEPINT interrupt but which is the routine that replies to BulkIn?Maybe the PCD_WriteEm

In my system, I initialised two interrupts for wake-up from STOP2 mode, after exiting STOP2 mode, how do I know that the system is waking up by RTC timer or interrupt pin? Is there any variable that I can check after waking up to find the reason why the system is wake?

Hello Gang.I have STM32U5G9J-DK2 discovery kit.Latest software, TouchGFX and ...CubeI am NOOB and may be do something wrong but I do not see any mistakes from my side.I did small test project in the TouchGFXBut after uploading it to the kit I got : I did something wrong??? Thank U :)

I would like to use the WKUP 6 (RTC_WUT_S) to wake up from Standby mode. I am already using WKUP 7 with a pin so I need the RTC to be in safe mode. What would be the best way?

Hey,I am trying out the new RGB image compression in TGFX 4.24 and are having some issues. My program compiles fine without any compression.I have only turned the feature on in TouchGFX Designer and generated code. Is there something else I am missing?
