Installing an earlier toolchain and changing a project to it fails to compile

Hello,

we have CubeIDE 1.8 with GCC 12.3 and for a certain project want to turn the toolchain back to GCC 10.3. We successfully installed it via Toolchain Manager and switched to it in Project - Properties -> C/C++ Build - Settings - MCUToolchain . But when compiling we get an eror message that the prefix to build the compiler instructions is empty and in Project - Properties -> C/C++ Build - Settings - MCU Settings the MCU field suddenly is empty.

The only way back is to change back to GCC12.3 and restart CubeIDE. Then we are back at where we started.

What's wrong? Is that known? How to fix it?

Thanks for any help

Martin

We fixed ourselves by updating CubeIDE to V1.17.
