Hi!I have a custom STM32H753ZIT6 MCU based board for which I am using SWD in order to bootload/program the MCU. To interface the SWD to either the STLINK or other programming modules similar to it, does anyone have any recommendation on what connect to use. From my research I have seen TC2030 being used in few designs but that is fairly expensive connector to interface with STLINK. Do you have any recommendation on what connector I could incorporate in my designs. I had an idea to have 10 pin female header connector with similar pitch to what stlink has as I observed the pinouts for SWD are on one side of 20 pin connector, could be a *** idea, if you have some better alternative please recommend.

I'm trying to create a ZigBee-only project (no BLE), that will only implement an APS Coordinator with FreeRTOS support for the STM32WB5MMG module. I'm looking at the Zigbee_APS_Coord sample, which is exactly what I need, and I noticed that it has a folder called "STM32_WPAN" under the "Middlewares" folder. I went ahead to CubeMX and tried to add the STM32_WPAN component but I got this:   The STM32_WPAN component is grayed out and won't let me add it unless I disable FreeRTOS!! Which is a big fat lie! Then how come the Zigbee_OnOff_Server_Coord_FreeRTOS sample project has both FreeRTOS and STM32_WPAN? It seems to me that it is indeed possible to have both, so, why am I not able to add it?

Hello Everyone!I am facing an issue while trying to enter the STM32 bootloader via USART1 on an STM32U599ZJT.Issue:When applying 3.3V to BOOT0 and performing a single reset, the MCU enters a reset (boot?) loop, which persists until BOOT0 is deasserted.Test Case:BOOT0 → 3.3VNRST pulled to GND once (manual reset)MCU stuck in a reset loop (observed reset pulses on NRST, ~50-120 ms period)However, when BOOT0 → GND, the reset loop stops, and the MCU behaves normally.Additional Information:Custom PCBFollowing AN2606 guidelinesReference test performed successfully on an STM32G0Any insights on what might be causing this behavior would be greatly appreciated!Thank you in advance for your help!

Hello,Does someone know where to find documentation on how to launch build using STM32CubeIDE line command on Windows?To specify my need, I have the command below and I would like to add an argument to redirect build log to a custom file :stm32cubeidec.exe -nosplash -application org.eclipse.cdt.managedbuilder.core.headlessbuild -data .\ws -importAll .\Path\to_project -build output_binaryI found the line command in a script, but there is no indication on where to find documentation.Thanks

We've had issue with reading NTAG215 cards with some devices, presumably due to the large spread-out antenna, so I'm working on a better understanding of the power output so that we can properly calibrate devices out of manufacturing.Currently, I do not have any RFO resistors enabled, so Tx power should be at its maximum. The datasheet says that the maximum allowed voltage level on an RFI is 3 Vpp, but on devices functioning optimally, I see up to 3.2 Vpp from the output of a Measure Amplitude command, particularly when an NTAG215 card is in the device's field. Does this signify that something in hardware or firmware is implemented incorrectly? Should I be setting the RFO resistance so that > 3 Vpp is never seen on an RFI pin? Does it matter at all? The electrical characteristics section says that in reader mode the recommended signal level is 2.5 Vpp, so should I be optimizing for that?Thanks for your help.

I am using nucleo-g491re and i was unable to use prescale of 1 asynchronous for my ADC. the solution, on this site, was to change VSO0 to VSO1 but it seems my board has no such option. only to boost (whatever that means). So how can i get the maximum possible 170Mhz for my adc (if possible). Its not strictly required as the ADC sampling needs to be done and transmitted at 10 kHz only roughly. (actually now that i think of it, i think its not needed to sample at high frequencies because i also need to send to another device as well, and that has a very much lower frequency for sending data)

I have created a project for the STM32H747I-DISCO and have deadlocked the MCU twice. a BIG thanks to ST for not having ANY warning about this. The DISCO board comes configured to default to SMPS mode. The project I created, without any warnings, defaulted to LDO mode. I corrected the problem using the process described in UM2411, section 5.2.3 only to go right back into the deadlock condition when downloading code.I now know that I must set the power mode to SMPS but I cannot find this setting in CubeMX. I am using CubeIDE v1.17.0. Where is the power settings for LDO and SMPS?????

In my project, I am using a low power timer (LPTIM1) to handle input from a quadrature encoder. I have set the timer up in CubeMX as follows:- IN1 and IN2 are used for the hardware inputs (this is always true; I cannot set this up).- Channel 1 and 2 are active in output compare mode with no external pins, only interrupts.- Clock polarity is set to both edges.- Sample time (glitch filter) is set to 8 transitions.- The LSI (32 kHz) is selected as its input clock.At boot, I set the value of both channels to be the current timer values plus and minus 2 respectively. This should mean I get an interrupt when the encoder is rotated to the next mechanically stable position.On any interrupt, I reset the values of the channel registers to be the new value of the CNT register plus and minus 2. What I expect to see, is a single interrupt for any mechanical click on the encoder, where I can use the CNT register to figure out if the rotation was up or down.What I see instead, is that this works

Hi,I'm trying to configure pin PC14 to be used as SDA signal as it stated in the datasheets STM32C031C6 and STM32C031G4: To configure the pin (and the the I2C) I am using:     void SDK_I2C_Init(SDK_I2C_HandleTypeDef *hi2c) { LL_I2C_InitTypeDef I2C_InitStruct = {0}; LL_GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct = {0}; LL_RCC_SetI2CClockSource(LL_RCC_I2C1_CLKSOURCE_PCLK1); LL_IOP_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_IOP_GRP1_PERIPH_GPIOB); LL_IOP_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_IOP_GRP1_PERIPH_GPIOC); /**I2C1 GPIO Configuration PB8 ------> I2C1_SCL PC14 ------> I2C1_SDA */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = LL_GPIO_PIN_8; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = LL_GPIO_MODE_ALTERNATE; GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = LL_GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_HIGH; GPIO_InitStruct.OutputType = LL_GPIO_OUTPUT_OPENDRAIN; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = LL_GPIO_PULL_UP; GPIO_InitStruct.Alternate = LL_GPIO_AF_6; LL_GPIO_Init(GPIOB, &GPIO_InitStruct); GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = LL_GPIO_PIN_14; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = LL_GPIO_MODE_ALTERNATE; GPIO_InitStruct.Speed =

I'm very new to FileX, but I have been able to format an eMMC drive (FAT32) on a STM32H745-DISCO eval board along with being able to write a file to it and read from it.Question: since the eMMC drive needs to be formatted one time only (at lease I'm hoping only one time) at first power on, how does one detect whether or not the drive has been formatted successfully? I've reviewed and tried several FileX media API calls, but none seem to detect properly whether or not the eMMC has been formatted.Any help would be appreciated!!Thank you

Hello,I have written a Flash bootloader for the STM32H743 for our custom application PCB. In a nutshell, the flash bootloader check an external flash memory IC with SPI on the custom application PCB if there is a new image to be flash and do it if it has to. Then it computes the CRC and boot the application.In the linker script, the application resides at 0x08000000, and the flash bootloader at 0x081E0000. I use the options bytes BOOT_CM7_ADD0 to set the boot address at the flash bootloader 0x081E. The flash bootloader is at the last sector of the flash bank 2.Technically, this would mean that my application can take up as much as (2 MB - 128 kB). I would like my application to take all this space and be able to replace it when required by the bootloader.The flash bootloader works perfectly with image below 900 kB. Please keep that in mind, my code isn't total garbage.However, when I try to flash a bigger image than about 900 kB, the bootloader crashes when it try to read memory in ban

Hello,Please i have question.for the board : NUCLEO-WB05KZ : Can I program this board with arduino IDE? If you have simple tutorial codes for BLE to get you started, please let me know.Thanks

The document UM1949 says:The original firmware demonstration to reprogram the STM32 MCU of theP-NUCLEO-IHM001, is available in binary file format from the www.st.comwebsite and it is called P-NUCLEO-IHM001.bin.Also where is the source code for that firmware?

Hi everyone,I am working on implementing the Peak Current Control Method for a boost converter. As an initial step, I am trying to interface the sawtooth waveform for my ramp signal.I have followed the ST YouTube video on this topic:"STM32G4 Series Video App Note: DAC Sawtooth waveform generation for peak current mode buck converter",but I am still unable to generate the sawtooth waveform successfully.I would be really grateful if someone could help me with this. Any guidance or suggestions would be highly appreciated!Thanks in advance! :smiling_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I'm a bit rusty on 8Bit MCU's, more used to STM32 but have to get that STM8 project done.I have a problem get TIM4 running, it might be I don't see the wood for all that trees.It gets compiled using SDCC and the header file is slightly adopted for that.here my code #include "stm8l15x.h" #define F_CPU 16000000UL #define LED0_PIN 4 #define LED1_PIN 1 static inline void delay_ms(uint16_t ms) { uint32_t i; for (i = 0; i < ((F_CPU / 16000UL) * ms); i++) __asm__("nop"); } void timer_isr(void) __interrupt(25) { GPIOC->ODR ^= (1 << LED0_PIN); TIM4->SR1 &= ~(1 << TIM4_SR1_UIF); } int main(void) { __asm__("rim"); CLK->CKDIVR = 0x0; CLK->PCKENR1 = CLK_PCKENR1_TIM4; GPIOC->DDR |= (1 << (LED0_PIN)); // configure PB1 as output GPIOC->CR1 |= (1 << (LED0_PIN)); // push-pull mode GPIOB->DDR |= (1 << (LED1_PIN)); // configure PB1 as output GPIOB->CR1 |= (1 << (LED1_PIN)); // push-pull mode TIM4->PSCR = 0

Hi, I'm using the Cube IDE 1.17 on an H5.  The HCLK is 248MHz.  When I try to configure the ADC/DAC clock to use HCLK, I get a red error.  According to the data sheet, the maximum clock to the ADC is 75MHz.  I am configuring the clock as divide by 6.Am I misunderstanding the maximum ADC clock rate in the datasheet?  The part should be able to perform 5 MSPS.Regards,Mike

Disclaimer: I don't normally use HAL, but I was trying to learn more about USB hosting so I decided to try out the demonstration application STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.12.0 STM32H743I-EVAL USB_Host/CDC_StandaloneAs I don't have that board, I tried to hook up the LCD output to UART7, but I was surprised to find the baud rate as half what I intended.The baud rate was set with huart7.Instance = UART7; huart7.Init.BaudRate = 115200; huart7.Init.WordLength = UART_WORDLENGTH_8B; huart7.Init.StopBits = UART_STOPBITS_1; huart7.Init.Parity = UART_PARITY_NONE; huart7.Init.Mode = UART_MODE_TX_RX; huart7.Init.HwFlowCtl = UART_HWCONTROL_NONE; huart7.Init.OverSampling = UART_OVERSAMPLING_16; huart7.Init.OneBitSampling = UART_ONE_BIT_SAMPLE_DISABLE; huart7.Init.ClockPrescaler = UART_PRESCALER_DIV1; huart7.AdvancedInit.AdvFeatureInit = UART_ADVFEATURE_NO_INIT; if (HAL_UART_Init(&huart7) != HAL_OK)and my code for void HAL_UART_MspInit(UART_HandleTypeDef* huart)includes the lines P

Hello,program that is used to flash STM32H753VI processor (powered over USB) asks to disconnect and then connect again of USB connection to start with flashing. I found also a possibility to start with flashing without reconnecting USB, and that is with reseting mCU via NRST pin. I'm searching for an option to perform the same functionality programmatically. Would calling a function below do the same as reseting mCU via NRST pin?NVIC_SystemReset(); Many thanks.

Im doing a proof-of-concept on trying to run a model on the STM32N6 that does object-detection. For this, Im following this guide: https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/stm32ai-modelzoo-services/blob/main/object_detection/src/training/README.md   1. `!git clone https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/stm32ai-modelzoo-services.git` 2. `!pip install -r stm32ai-modelzoo-services/requirements.txt` 3. Im using a Pascal VOC XML dataset which Im converting using the provided scripts with the different config files as attachment in a zip-file 4. `!python converter.py --config-name dataset_config_train.yaml` 5. `!python converter.py --config-name dataset_config_validation.yaml` 6. `!python dataset_create_tfs.py --config-name dataset_config_tfs.yaml` 7. `!python stm32ai_main.py`   This gives the following error (full stacktrace as attachment): `ValueError: Can't convert Python sequence with mixed types to Tensor.`. As I believe Im following the steps correctly, Im unsure what Im missing

I have a custom PCB with the STM32G431 microcontroller and ESP32 controller. ESP32 is connected to STM via GPIO pins in order to perform firmware upgrade using STM32 bootloader protocol. Connection are as follows:ESP32 UART TX <-----> STM32 UART RX (PC11)ESP32 UART RX <-----> STM32 UART TX (PC10)ESP32 GPIO <-----> STM32 RESET pinESP32 GPIO <-----> STM32 BOOT0 pin ESP32 controller triggers the STM32 bootloader entering sequence using RESET, BOOT0 pins and sending start byte 0x7F. The problem is that with STM32G431 the ESP32 does not receive ACK (nor anything else). When I soldered STM32G474 on that PCB, everything worked fine (ESP got the ACK and was able to execute bootloader commands). I checked AN2606 and AN3155 to interface bootloader communication. For me it seemed that both microcontrollers (STM32G474 and STM32G431) are compatible to communicate with bootloader, unfortunately they are not. I triple checked both MCU Option bytes and pinouts, and it

I'm trying to make TouchGFX and the touch screen from this kithttps://www.amazon.com/OpenH743I-C-Development-STM32H743IIT6-Microcontroller-XYGStudy/dp/B07VJ32MC3/?fbclid=IwAR1bRvOE7k_TxZOqdmRFrnxOmykbauhh-5T0qpy14sX4ygGIvmJZph-JOtYwork together. They have samples in Keil for STemWin, but I want to use TouchGFX in my research. (I'm a university professor working on something to support STEM education in underserved areas.)If anyone has TouchGFX working on this board, I'd really appreciate some help getting started. I'm reading through the porting guide, but I figure why reinvent the wheel.Thanks!

Hi,I'm using an stm32mp257f-ev1 for the first time. I configured the board to boot from emmc: I flashed it using starter package image for fastboot with opteemin image. I noticed that at openSTlinux boot-time remoteproc starts M33 core with USBPD_DRP_UCSI_CM33_NonSecure_stripped.elf.I try to figured out if it's possible to avoid firmware starting at boot-time in some way without deleting it from /lib/firmware.I tried to search if there is something to change on DT or in kernel configuration, but I don't found anything usefulHere's the board boot log concerning firmware starting:[ 11.524092] remoteproc remoteproc0: powering up m33[ 11.529609] remoteproc remoteproc0: Booting fw image USBPD_DRP_UCSI_CM33_NonSecure_stripped.elf, size 144140[ 11.539164] rproc-virtio rproc-virtio.2.auto: assigned reserved memory node vdev0buffer@812fa000[ 11.550597] rproc-virtio rproc-virtio.2.auto: registered virtio0 (type 7)[ 11.551849] remoteproc remoteproc0: remote processor m33 is now up[ 11.564734] Boo
