I have read about using these boards in conjunction with firmwares configured in Xcube-MC.However, is it possible to implement these field control strategies or similar in proprietary code?

Hi, I am trying to send an integer from the PC (using Putty serial program) to the Nucleo board via USART interrupt but the board doesn't acquire the number correctly. In the code written here this happens: if I send any kind of number to the board like: 100, 200, 500, 700, 900, a different number arrive to the board and I can't see any changing in the funtcion:__HAL_TIM_SET_COMPARE(&htim1, TIM_CHANNEL_1, num);Seems that the value that I am passing by using a char message and then converted in uint8_t format to the function is converted in a bad number. In fact on the channel TM1_CH1 where I connect one channel of my digital scope, any kind of three digit number I enter in the serial always has the same effect. Any help? Dear STMicroelectronics Team & Community,I am writing to report an apparent error in the STM32H72x/73x/74x/75x System Architecture Overview Application Note (AN4891) , specifically on page 28 , regarding the Flexible Memory Controller (FMC) section. The document states:"For STM32H72x/73x, only SDRAM bank 1 can be remapped from 0xD000 0000 to 0x6000 0000 ."However, based on the STM32H7 reference manual and other technical documentation, the default address for SDRAM Bank 1 is 0xC000 0000 , not 0xD000 0000 . Therefore, the correct remapping should be:"For STM32H72x/73x, only SDRAM bank 1 can be remapped from 0xC000 0000 to 0x6000 0000 ."This discrepancy could lead to confusion for developers working with the FMC and SDRAM memory mapping. I kindly request that this error be reviewed and corrected in the application note to ensure accuracy and avoid potential issues during development.Thank you for your attention to this matter. Please let me know if further clarification is needed or i

I'm working on a Motor Control Project built with MCSDK(6.3.1).After initial creation of the CubeMX ioc File by the MC-Workbench, a lot of additional configuration were manually made using CubeMX (~30 additional pins and their config, additional timers, etc.).Then the Source Code was generated. But when i now need to change parameters/configuration in the MC-Workbench and re-generate the ioc File, all the previously manually added config is lost and must be redone again which is a lot of work and prone to errors which are hard to detect. Is this the intended workflow? Maybe i'm doing something wrong? The workflow shown here: https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/ecosystems/stm32-motor-control-ecosystem.htmlshows a feedback cycle starting again at step 4 but i need to cycle to step 3 without loosing information in the ioc. In the meantime i use a clean ioc without modifications and look at the diff made by changes by the MC-Workbench.Then i manually apply the diff in the ioc to t

Hi Team,  Could you please share the detailed function of INT and SYNC in VL53L8CXV0GC/1?  We would probably use one sensor or two. If case of one sensor SYNC input doesn't add any value to the design. If two sensor used they'll probably share the proximity data(Just confirms if the object present or not) will it a have significance there.    Regards,  Mukesh

Hi,how do I start a new project in VS Code (using ST's STM32 extension or other ways) from an existing .IOC file?I am asking because for writing new code for some new PCBs, I have the .IOC file which I configured when I made the PCBs and I want to reuse because it has many settings that I don't want to copy manually. Alternatively, is there a way to import an existing .IOC file data/settings into a new .IOC file (obviously making sure they both use the same micro part number). Thank you

Good dayI am using a NUCLEO-STMG0B1RE board and i am trying to handle a 4x3 matrix keypad inputs using interrupts to switch menus on an OLED screen. The keypad inputs worked when I used continuous polling for keypad inputs. The OLED needs to continuously update (at least once per second) with data from ADC. This also worked when I used continuous polling, but the keypad inputs was a bit sluggish and I am scared it will slow my processor down for future use. With the current code I am trying to do the following:when key pressed, corresponding column goes highinterrupt triggeredRising callback sets KeypadtriggerDetected = 1 and stores the columnKeypadtriggerDetected activates if statement in while(1) which pulls all the rows low, then sets them high one at a time. When the key pressed is identified from keymap, that key gets processed with updates the state the OLED menu should be inthat state then gets passed to displayMenuOLED to display the corresponding menuWith the current code I

Hello, i've been having this problem with negative numbers recently in Touch Designer, i can't show them correctly in my screens, the negative sign (-) keeps going on the wrong side Ex: "-5" turns to "5-"Why this keep happening? I tried to change text font and the wildcard ranges, but none of this fixed the problem.

Hello, I am currently in possession of the sensor tile development kit(STEVAL-STLKT01V1) and am attempting to find ways to use cloud logging with the sensor tile classic app; however, the only options I have seen were using IoT and from my understanding they require payment. Would there be any other ways to log the data on the cloud or an external device for mass data collections?

HI,I am using the STM32WBA55G-DK1 board to develop my ble audio project referred to BLE_Audio_TMAP_Periopheral project. But when my tablet pc connected to the board successfully, and started play the music. The ble audio stack posted CAP_UNICAST_SERVER_ASE_STATE_EVT. The state of CAP_UNICAST_SERVER_ASE_STATE_EVT were ASE_STATE_CODEC_CONFIGURED、ASE_STATE_RELEASING、ASE_STATE_IDLE。As a comparison, the change rule of BLE_Audio_TMAP_Periopheral CAP-UNICAST_SRVER-ASE_STATEVT state is as follows: ASE_STATE_CODEC_CONFIGURED->ASE_STATE_QOS_CONFIGURED->ASE_STATE_ENABLING.I don't know what factors led to this difference。 Best Regard

Hello, i have a question regarding the analog comparators and the STM32G0B0VE. As stated in the "Product Selector" found under STM32G0x0 Value line - Products the STM32G0B0VE features 2 comparators:  But when i look into the reference manual RM0454 Reference manualSTM32G0x0 advanced Arm® -based 32-bit MCUsi can not find anything about the comparator. In contrast to the reference manual of the STM32G0x1-Family, where there are some notes regarding the comparators. Thank you & best regardsPhilipp

I am trying to upload the code to my target STM32F407 but below error is showing up. I tried some of suggestions but problem is still there. I am using Version: 1.15.1.   Debug log file also attached. 1) Doing Mass Erase of flash,2) Updating ST Link Firmware3) Set Reset Behavior: None4) Uncheck Enable Live Expressions Update:   I moved to STM32Cube programmer instead of using STM32cubeide, and able to upload the code after reducing ST-Link Frequency to 15Khz. Is it due to my target board poor design or something else. I am using Discovery Board ST-LINK to upload

In previous iterations of ST Cube IDE, the project creation wizzard included a tick box to create a project based on TrustZone. This option seems to have been removed. I am using an STM32H755.Is there another way in which TrustZone based projects should now be created, and if so, could someone direct me to the revised documentation? I searched but maybe I am missing something?

Using "Firmware Relative Path" currently have 2 problems:The path in the text field is displayed as absolute while the actual path is stored in the .ioc file as relativeThis is somewhat confusing to the user as CubeMX will display different (absolute paths) for different users with the same .ioc file.Targetting the MDK-ARM toolchain will generate/update an .uvprojx file with absolute paths and not relative pathsThis is an issue when the firmware is stored in a vcs repository and share among several developpers which don't have their local copy at the same location. For each developper re-generating code with CubeMX, absolute paths on its computer will be appended in the Keil file. Therefore we need to manually remove them in the .uvprojx file before commiting our changes to the repository.Would it be possible to use relative paths instead (or support them alongside absolute paths) in CubeMX and uVision project file ? Looking at other posts in the community, it seems CubeIDE has the sam

I am trying to control a 24V PMSM type motor using ST Motor Control Workbench version 6.3.1 with the FOC. I use the position control method as the control method. Tuning PID parameter is given in AN5464.Although i tried to tune the PID parameters manually in accordance with demonstration code given in AN5464, par. 5.8, motor starting to oscillate when i try to rotate motor in multi-turn (for example 4-turn, 8 * PI radian). So i am trying to use a software tool like STM32CubeMonitor in order to tune PID parameters.I have the following questions:Is there any application note/document which describes PID parameter tuning using STM32CubeMonitor? If yes, can you share with me?If the answer of first question is no, which variables/structure elements should be paid most attention in STM32CubeMonitor for a good PID tuning? For example, ENCODER_M1._super.hMecAngle. Dou you have any recommendation for me?If STM32CubeMonitor is not suitable for PID tuning, do you have any advice for me? For examp

I'm using STM32H743VGT6 QSPI drive an AMOLED screen. AMOLED read sequence need IO0 line send and receive data.(Picture 1) But I checked the H743 Reference manual, it says in the single mode, IO0 just output, not input.(Picture 2) How do I fix to make sure the IO0 data received?

Hi!Is there download link for the code in this demo. ?More specifically, I am interested in the code that generates the FPS and MCU load. Thanks in advance

Hi, I am curious one thing when using the HAL libraries. Just as an basic exapmle i assign LED1 to PB12 pin of STM32F070CBT6 as an GPIO_output. And i want to use HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOB, LED1, LED1_SET); instead of HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOB, GPIO_PIN_12, GPIO_PIN_SET); . Do you think it is weird that i want to use my variables like that with HAL libraries? Second thing is (if it is not weir or inappropriate), should i define my definitions as "definitions.c" or "definitions.h"? When i make some search, .c file is not recommended. I am not sure if i do all these steps with my ST microcontroller and it works well.

sub: Power Supply Review for STM32U5A5QJI6Q in our SchematicHi, I’m currently working with the STM32U5A5QJI6Q microcontroller and would appreciate some help reviewing the power supply section of our schematic. Specifically, we are unsure whether it’s correct to leave the following pins unused:VDDUSB – We are not using the USB functionality, so we haven’t connected this pin. Is this fine, or do we need to connect it to any power source?VDDA – We are not using the analog features of the MCU and haven’t connected this pin. Should we tie it to VDD or leave it unconnected (or is there another recommendation)?Could anyone take a look at the power supply area of our schematic and let us know if everything looks correct, or if we should make any changes?

When I try to install it I get this error: "The following packages have unmet dependencies:st-stm32cubeide-1.16.1 : Depends: libncurses5 but is not installableDepends: libpython2.7 but is not installableDepends: libwebkit2gtk-4.0-37 but is not installable"any ideas? thanks in advance

Hello, I am currently working with a STM32 development board that I am using to power (and code) a PCB that has an stm32 chip. So far, it has been working properly but I recently connected the PCB to a display (Newhaven display: LINK) and now the "overcurrent" LED is lighting up on the STM32 development board. Once I disconnect the display, it goes back to normal. Please refer to the pictures attached below. Additionally, please note that the display doesn't turn on and idk if it is due to the "overcurrent" issue. I am using a FFC Jumper cable and I'm pretty sure that it is connected properly. I am sending 3.3V to the PCB which should be fine. Please help me as I am really confused. With the display connected:Without the display:The display:

Hi,I have a CubeIDE project and I want to continue development using VS Code. How do you convert an existing project to CMake so I can use it in VS Code?In CubeMX I opened the .IOC file to try to change the project settings to CMake but the Toolchain drop down menu is greyed out so I cannot change it. How do I change it to CMake specifically to be used with VS Code?Thank you
