Hi ,I am using STM32G4 to receive USART data from external interface and USART buffer overrun when USART interrupt conflicts with Flash Erase operation. As mentioned in STM32G4 Reference manual , in single bank mode, any read operation while writing/erasing flash stalls the bus until current flash operation is complete. To mitigate this performed following,Moved ISR handler and subroutines invoked inside ISR to SRAMMoved Interrupt Vector table to SRAM     After all these changes , USART buffer still overruns when it conflicts with Flash erase operationRequest you to share your views.Regards,Hareesha

Hi, I’m programming on stm32cubeide and I’m using a H755ZI-Q microcontroller.I have a small problem with serial communication:Through usart, I try to display the data of EVERY project on putty. But I have several problems: the communication is only successful through USART3, using as active the "default" PINs like TX and RX, that is PD8 and PD9.So this happens: with these two pins configured print, but with other pins (such as PB10 and PB11 which from the datasheet have configuration USART3_TX and USART3_RX) on putty no printing takes place. Also with all other USART/UART, printing does not take place. Can you help me? I could make a mistake or is there a function to be coded in order for the communication to take place?Simon.

Hi,in schematic of the STM32MP257-DK-board, I found the following resistors at the Ethernet interface being marked with "DNF":When looking at the board, these resistors are missing (which should be "DNP" in this case?).From my understanding of the wiring of the Ethernet interface, they should be there, but as one can see, the ETH-port on that DK-board is working properly also without them.So my question: what is the story behind these resistors which should be there and are missing while everything is working properly? Is there some other hack which makes these resistors obsolete/which replaces these resistors? Thanks!

Hi,I'm trying to download SDK version 5.10 to build the version of Linux kernel used in our product after some years, i understand the file we need is en.SDK-x86_64-stm32mp1-openstlinux-5.10-dunfell-mp1-21-11-17.tar.xzunfortunately I get V6.x regardless of what I select on the download page. Would someone have a link to this file? (it's almost a gig)Thanks Simon Fisher

I'm using the internal temp sensor on a C011 chip *actually the STM32C0116 dev board) and trying to  get an approximate reading in C, using __LL_ADC_CALC_TEMPERATURE_TYP_PARAMS macro.I understand that this won't be very accurate, but it seems that when I use the T_CAL1 value stored in ROM the result actually gets significantly worse. Here is my code:#define VDDA_APPLI ((uint32_t) 3300) #define TEMPSENSOR_TYP_CAL1_V (( int32_t) 760) #define TEMPSENSOR_TYP_AVGSLOPE (( int32_t) 2530) #define TEMPSENSOR_CAL_VREF ((uint32_t) 3000) int32_t get_last_temp_reading(void) { uint16_t t_cal1 = *TEMPSENSOR_CAL1_ADDR; return (int32_t)__LL_ADC_CALC_TEMPERATURE_TYP_PARAMS(TEMPSENSOR_TYP_AVGSLOPE, //TEMPSENSOR_TYP_CAL1_V, t_cal1, TEMPSENSOR_CAL1_TEMP, VDDA_APPLI, raw_value, LL_ADC_RESOLUTION_12B); } My raw_value is 787. When I use the typical datasheet value of 760, I get a result of -20. If I use t_cal1 (which has a value of 1048) I get -134What is going on? OK, I don't expect m

Moved from this thread. I just start new project nucleo-H755zi, and default config is quite different to HSE bypassed. If hardware pre-set to STLink provided clock, than why StmCubeMX doesn't initiate project in right way? Have to navigate into system core, change to bypass. Than have to set manually all clock tree, do useless work that has to be fixed by Cube developers.

I am controlling BLE server using stm32wba54cgu6 chip and CubeIDE 1.18.0.1. In order to use extended advertising function, what part should I set in CubeMx?2. I think that adv_ext_app.c / adv_ext_app.h file should be created to use extended advertising. What setting should I make in CubeMx so that adv_ext_app.c / adv_ext_app.h are created? I am a complete beginner. Please help me.

Hello,I am trying to get a microphone (senheiser MKE 200) to work , it has TRS connector and it needs 2-10V BIAS (I think :)  )I looked at schematics and the datasheet for the codec , MIC1 doesnt seem to have a MIC BIAS voltage support but the BSP has the below code which sets BIAS to MIC2 (which is not at all present on the board) /* Mic control : ADC single volume off, ADCB boost off, ADCA boost off, MicBias on AIN3B/MICIN2 pin, MicBias level 0.8xVA, MICB boost 32db, MICA boost 32dB */ tmp = 0x03U; ret += cs42l51_write_reg(&pObj->Ctx, CS42L51_MIC_CTRL, &tmp, 1); I am really confused with stm32 design, does MIC1 support BIAS ? do I need one ?and why BIAS is applied to MIC2? Board: stm32h7b3i-dkAudio codec: Cs42l51

Hi,I’m currently working with the NUCLEO-F746ZG board. Could someone please guide me on where to find the corresponding gateway firmware binary (e.g., st-nucleo-lora-gw-at-fw-v2.0.2.bin) and the setup procedure for getting the gateway up and running?I am planning to use the loriot.io, please help to find the bin file of that server setup.Any help or documentation would be greatly appreciated.Thank you

Hi,Here's the thing. The program is supposed to change the speed of the blinking of the user green led when you click on the blue button. I made it a week ago, tested it and all was going well. However I dropped the board this morning, four pins (2 from CN12 and 2 others from CN11) were a bit twisted but I managed to put them back (wasn't a big of a deal). I checked if there were any missing components but there weren't any. I wanted to make sure nothing was wrong so I connected the board to my computer to see (the last uploaded program to the board is the one I mentioned earlier). I was surprised by the fact that the green led was not even blinking (it is supposed to, since when powered the last uploaded program in the flash memory is supposed to be ran). So I uploaded the same program to the board again, the led was blinking but if i disconnect the board from my computer and plug it again, the led's no longer blinking. It stops blinking as well if i click on the reset button (black b

Hi, I am using a customer board with h7. Similarly, I want to read a simple nfc card using the st25r3916 chip. For this, I made the necessary adjustments using RFAL libraries without using the cubeMx ready package.I have completed the necessary hardware and software processes for SPI, interrupt and IRQ.Sometimes it completes the initial step successfully, sometimes the ID is wrong (st25r3916ReadRegister) and it gives an error. (In fact, when you look at the mosi line, you can see that something is not right)Mosi keeps changing even though I haven't changed the functions. It doesn't make any sense..SPI1 Config :CPOL : LowCPHA : 2 EdgeI am using pg15 pin for IRQ and spi1 for connections.NVIC settings:

Can you tell the steps you followed to do this ? Thanks

Hello community,We are designing a low-cost pump controller and are looking for an MCU with the following specifications:MCU RequirementsFlash: 512 KBRAM: 128 KBGPIOs: 64 to 84Integrated RTCRTC cell supportNo wireless connectivity neededLowest possible costIf you have suggestions for a suitable MCU (from ST, TI, or others) that meets these requirements at a low price point, please share your recommendations. Thanks in advance!

I switched from an STM32F103C8T6 project template to an STM32H503CBT6.When programming the pins PA13/PA14 to DEBUG_JTMS_SWDIO resp. DEBUG_JTCK_SWCLK these pins turn to color orange, indicatiing there is some conflict. On the F103 configuration I recall that I had to tick Serial Wire Debug in the Debug section of "SYS".This lacks in the H503 configurator. How do I manage it to get the pins conflict free?

Hello,We are using STM32C071GBU6 MCU chip with USB device interface function. Now we have a problem using ST-Link utility tool to download BIN file to MCU:ST-Link utility tool always report: connection lost.In our design we use USB micro-B type port to supply power for the board. We checked MCU voltage and value is 3.2V, which is normal.  While using the same programmer and IDE tool, we can successfully connect STM32F446 MCU(while STM32F446 board power supply is from DC regulator power). Please see attached pictures for details. Please help find the root cause. Much thanks!

Hi, We are developing a prototype containing a st25r3916b nfc reader. When the prototype is idle it goes into sleep mode and wakes up through the wakeup function. When we actively poll for a card from our MCU we can read a UID from a distance of about 7cm (which is great for us). However, in wakeup mode with a trigger on inductive amplitude we have found a reliable detection distance of about 3 cm. Is this to be expected? We found that by changing d_res of the tx_driver registry we can increase/decrease the amplitude of the field in wakeup mode. With low d_res values the wakeup mode triggers constantly, only at a d_res of 36.6% can we get a reliable card detection (at +- 3 cm) with a delta around 20. If we set the wakeup delta very high for low d_res values, it doesn't trigger constantly but then we have to hold the card really close to the antenna, defeating the purpose. Are there other knobs we can turn to try to get reliable detection in wakeup mode from a greate

Hello,I'm facing an issue while trying to program my WeAct STM32F411CEU6 board using a genuine ST-Link/V2 programmer via SWD interface. The ST-Link firmware version is V2J38S7 and the target voltage is detected as 3.14V.However, every time I attempt to upload code (via STM32CubeIDE or ST-Link Utility), I get the following error:"No STM32 target found" or"Cannot connect to target. Please select 'Connect Under Reset'..."I’ve verified the following:SWDIO is connected to PA13, SWCLK to PA14, GND and 3.3V connected properly.NRST pin is also connected from ST-Link to MCU.BOOT0 is set to GND.Tried both normal and "Connect Under Reset" modes in ST-Link Utility.Reduced SWD frequency to as low as 4kHz.Tried pressing and holding RESET during connection attempts.Despite all this, the debugger still fails to connect. The device is detected on PC and ST-Link firmware is up to date. Could this be a firmware protection (RDP), hardware lock, or some issue with the board itself?Any help or suggestions w

Dear STMicroelectronics Team, Good day. This is Louie from SnapMagic Search. We create PCB footprints, schematic symbols, and 3D models for electronic components. One of our customers is looking to integrate X-NUCLEO-IHM04A1  into their design and has requested a 3D CAD model. But, we are missing key dimensions to create the model. Could you assist us by providing the necessary data? Please see the following image for reference: We require additional dimensions to recreate them, and any references such as BOM, schematics, mechanical drawings, and/or Eagle board files would be greatly appreciated. A precise 2D/3D model helps engineers integrate your component, boosting future sales. We’d appreciate any help you can provide and look forward to your response. After upgrading to version 5 of NanoEdge AI Studio, I’m unable to create new projects, and I also can't open projects originally created in version 4.6. Has anyone experienced similar issues?

Hello,   I am trying stm32le5ccu6 with SUBGHZ PINP PONG method to send data.in that i am getting stuck at 3 things 1. rtc for time and date. 2. writing data into internal flash address 3. when trying stop2 mode, i have set up 20 sec wake up interrupt. so device wakes up every 20 sec to send data over radio. but after 1st wakeup the device doesnt go in stop mode stays awake. keeps the radio SMPS on. i even tried clearing the SMPS bit. has aanyone tried it, ?

Good morning, I have been trying to make simple characters appear on the 16x2 character LCD display for a while now and I am using a U575ZI-Q core board. I have followed many tutorials but none of them have allowed me to display a simple line of text on the display.I would like to point out that with the Arduino board I have no difficulty displaying simple characters like hello word, but with this board I can't. I am using two libraries in a row and the following code in the main.c file. Could you help me? The 16x2 LCD display has the I2C driver with a PCF8574T integrated circuit.   /* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * Copyright (c) 2025 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved. * * This software is licensed under terms that can be found in the LICENSE fi

Hello,I am having issues communicating over SPI with an external ADC the ADS7038. I am using an STM32H750VB and sourced the code from github (precision-adc-examples/devices/ads7038 at main · TexasInstruments/precision-adc-examples). I am unable to read data from the ADC when it is connected to a thermocouple and only get a return of 0. I have tried reading from individual registers but have been unable to return a value. The STM32 pins all have correct continuity, but the ADS7038 is difficult to probe since it has a QFN package. I was able to get a signal on SCK and MOSI but MISO was just high. SPI is set as Full-Duplex master using CS pins to enable with a Baud rate of 2 Mbits/s. Attached is the entire code but also here are some screenshots of the main programs used to communicate SPI and read from the ADC. Any ideas for other things to try for debugging?

HelloI use CAN FD and have a functioning communication with 3 participants. Now I want to activate the interrupt that notifies me when the device has lost the arbitration contest. I forward each of the four NVIC interrupts in stm32h7xx_hal_fdcan: void FDCAN2_IT0_IRQHandler(void) { HAL_FDCAN_IRQHandler(&hfdcan2); } When initializing CAN, I activate the interrupt: retVal = HAL_FDCAN_ActivateNotification(m_Fdcan2Handle, FDCAN_IT_ARB_PROTOCOL_ERROR, 0); and set the CallbackHandle beforehand: retVal = HAL_FDCAN_RegisterTxEventFifoCallback(m_Fdcan2Handle, MyCallback); SYSM_ASSERT_STOP(retVal == HAL_OK, retVal); retVal = HAL_FDCAN_RegisterErrorStatusCallback(m_Fdcan2Handle, MyCallback); SYSM_ASSERT_STOP(retVal == HAL_OK, retVal); retVal = HAL_FDCAN_RegisterTxBufferAbortCallback(m_Fdcan2Handle, MyCallback); SYSM_ASSERT_STOP(retVal == HAL_OK, retVal); retVal = HAL_FDCAN_RegisterTxEventFifoCallback(m_Fdcan2Handle, MyCallback); SYSM_ASSERT_STOP(retVal == HAL_OK, retVal); Despite arbitration

I'm using a WB55 with IWDG enabled. I want to disable The IWDG when the device is in Standby mode. I have cleared the IWDGSTDBY bit using STM32CubeProgrammer, but I still get resets from the IWDG.What am I doing wrong?
