Hi,I am working on a project using STM32H757I-EVAL. I wanted to know what the model number of the microphone present in STM32H757I-EVAL. In the user manual, I could just find it as ST-MEMS digital microphones. Also, does it support external microphones? If so, how many can be used?

Hi everyone,I’m trying to implement LoRa point-to-point (P2P) communication using the stm32wle5ccu6.I configured the .ioc file based on the SUBGHz_Phy PingPong example for the NUCLEO-WL55JC1. Then, I wrote the code for LoRa transmission. On the receiver side, the only change I made was replacing:Radio.Send((uint8_t *)BufferTx, sizeof(BufferTx));withRadio.Rx(RX_TIMEOUT_VALUE);However, I’m still unable to successfully send or receive packets. On the transmission side, I keep getting a TX timeout.Could someone please take a look at my configuration and help identify where I might have gone wrong? If there are any other examples, guides, or documentation that I might have missed, I would really appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction.Thank you/* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body **********************************************************************

Hi ,I'm working on a code to collect data from a load cell wit HX711 cip. I'm using STM32CubeIDE.I configured GPIO pin 6 as Clock output for the HX711 but when calling HAL_GPIO_WritePin the output pin PA6 does not change. The hardware configuration is set in CubeMX .I'm not even sure what information to provide.I reduced the code to only couple of lines ... I am writing code in C++ so I have a call of appMainC() that is declared as "extern C" as main() for my code. This may not influence our issue but I added it just for clarity. And I also have the timer ElapsedCallback function call ..I have changed 3 bluepill boards as I expected is a HW issue of the board but it the issue is the same on all 3.I also tried by setting outputs PA3 ... PA6 as pull-up but I still measured 0V on the outputs with the oscilloscope. Can anyone help with some idea on what could cause this issues? Or if I'm setting something wrong?I can provide any additional information ... this seem so basic I don't know

Hi,I'm a beginner in STM32.I tried to debug STM32F103C8T6 but it always fails I have changed the st link 5 times and everything is the same there is no change, I don't know what to do,.here are the errors and settings on my debugger  Open On-Chip Debugger 0.12.0+dev-00600-g090b431b1 (2024-09-13-19:14) [https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/OpenOCD] Licensed under GNU GPL v2 For bug reports, read http://openocd.org/doc/doxygen/bugs.html Info : Listening on port 64568 for tcl connections Info : Listening on port 62346 for telnet connections Info : STLINK V2J45S7 (API v2) VID:PID 0483:3748 Info : Target voltage: 3.210020 Error: init mode failed (unable to connect to the target)

We are currently using this chip and hope that this selection can be supplied for more than 10 years.May I ask how to retrieve such information?

It is my understanding from watching this video from ST: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kx7yWVi8kbUThat many STM32 chips come with a built in bootloader in ROM that can be accessed by pulling the BOOT0 pin high. However, I just took a couple of brand new STM32 blue pills out of the package and was not able to see the USB device enumerated, and when I opened STM32 Cube Programmer and select USB, it sees nothing and says "NO DFU DEVICE FOUND" The blue pills are a super basic board and have jumpers to pull BOOT0 and BOOT1 high, so I would think this would work. ST Application Note AN3156 says that the STM32 chip on this board support the DFU built in bootloader, so I'm not sure what's going on here. Anyone have any light to shed on this?

I am currently using the STM32F103C8 board, in this, I connect the OPTOCOUPLER  input to the PA6 PIN of stm32 which is the PWM pin, and at the output side I connect the optocoupler's output to the driver's 10v + pin and optocoupler's output with 10v - pin, and I also generate the PWM signal using timer 3 ,and in this i want to control the led brightness using the pwm dutycycle but this is not proper working . give me suggestions what should i do in this case?   this is the pwm initialization code void PWM_Init(void) {    // Initialization struct    TIM_TimeBaseInitTypeDef TIM_TimeBaseInitStruct;    TIM_OCInitTypeDef TIM_OCInitStruct;    GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct;        // Step 1: Initialize TIM3    RCC_APB1PeriphClockCmd(RCC_APB1Periph_TIM3, ENABLE);        // Configure TIM3 base    TIM_TimeBaseInitStruct.TIM_Prescaler = 144;    TIM_Ti

Hi, I'm running the following example project:STM32Cube_FW_F7_V1.17.0\Projects\STM32F769I-Discovery\Applications\mbedTLS\SSL_Clienton the development board STM32F769I-Discovery.Seems like the application uses the .h file STM32Cube_FW_F7_V1.17.0\Middlewares\Third_Party\mbedTLS\include\mbedtls\config.hto configure the embedTLS module. The project also includes this .h file for configuration of mbedTLS:STM32Cube_FW_F7_V1.17.0\Projects\STM32F769I-Discovery\Applications\mbedTLS\SSL_Client\Inc\mbedtls_config.hBut it doesn't seem like it's used, why is that? BRJonas

hi guys, I'm a desktop programmer and do not know much about micro controllers and electronics but i am very interested in making an oscilloscope  which:- simple to build with well known parts and ICs- it uses bluepill as the ADC and no other ADCs- it be able to measure negative voltages- It uses near maximum  ADC sample rate possible from bluepill  Single channel would be enough for above spects. recently I was working with a cool project named rp2daq which convert RPI Pico to a 500KSps /12Bit resolution and uses USB to send data to PC.I did try to make a proof of concept version of a oscilloscope on top of it and it did worked (kind of) available from here.I was using this simple oscilloscope since last day which i gave 10v signal to it's ADC by mistake and it broke. The pico is expensive relate to blue pill (in my area, 3x more expensive), so i am thinking if anyone interest in making such open source scope, i think I can fully do the desktop part and need he

Hello all,for my DIY Radio Controller (LoRa and STM32F1C8) i am using two joysticks and one poti.I am reading ADC with the DMA but what i noticed is that the ADC values are not so accurate.I know with not (professional, expensive) Potis and joysticks this accurate is almost impossible. With 12 bit resolution the ADC value is (0 - 4095) but the problem is that sometimes the tolerance gets more then 20 or 30 and this value is not ignorable for RC.P.s. the wires from Joysticks and poti are about 10cm long.My question :Is there any idea or way to get more accurate readings from ADC? some filtering or anything else.Would be using switching regulator as Vcc problematic? Please if you have some tipps or ideas it will be appreciated.Thank you in advance.

Welcome to everyone! This question concerns the STM32F103CBT6 microcontroller , I have given a "BluePill" module equipped with this microcontroller. When I download the hex or elf file with STM Programer, it downloads nicely, no problem, But! however, it catches itself without any precedent and locks itself, and a message appears that it is only available in Reset mode, the program meter is no longer connected to the microcontroller. Could this be eliminated somehow, so that whenever I want to download something, can I do it without any problems? There should be no microcontroller "locking", etc. . Thank you very much in advance for your help Everyone!

I can't erase the flash in the STM32L552CCT6 with the code below. I wonder if my code is wrong. When I check the memory, the 2kB from the flash address 0x803F800 is not 0xFF. The reason it wasn't 0xFF originally seems to be because something other than 0xFF happened to be written during debugging.Thank you. uint32_t error; uint8_t ram[2048]; HAL_FLASH_Unlock(); FLASH_EraseInitTypeDef flash; flash.NbPages = 1; flash.Page = 127; flash.TypeErase = FLASH_TYPEERASE_PAGES; flash.Banks = 1; if (HAL_FLASHEx_Erase(&flash, &error) == HAL_OK) { HAL_FLASH_Lock(); if (error != 0xFFFFFFFF) return false; else { if (keepRamData == false) memset(ram, 0xFF, 2048); return true; } } HAL_FLASH_Lock(); return false;Code formatting applied - please see How to insert source code for future reference.

Hi! I am looking for help with my own PCB design first running process. I have PCB with STM32F407VG and LAN8742A PHY. I lost the whole day trying to run it without any effect. After powering on, the orange LED is on constantly, and nothing else. I tried it with the program, and the behavior is the same with an erased chip. I have attached schemat parts, clock configuration, and the board state photo.I tried to set multiple clock configurations, but nothing came up. Maybe I need to add some power sequence at the start of the MCU. I tried many configurations of reset line and the same effect, just nothing. I don't have any idea what I should do more.I will be grateful for any help and suggestions! Thank you so much for your attention and participation.

I'm just getting started with my STM32WB15CC nucleo board, and my first goal was to put in shutdown mode to check the current draw, which I expected to be around 1 uA. I'm measuring the current on the JP3 header with a joulescope which should represent the actual current used by the MCU itself.I'm using the PWR_LPSLEEP example in the CubeMX IDE, and exchanged the "entersleepmode" call to the "enter shutdown mode", see below: /* Enter Sleep Mode, wake up is done once User push-button (SW1) is pressed *///HAL_PWR_EnterSLEEPMode(PWR_LOWPOWERREGULATOR_ON, PWR_SLEEPENTRY_WFI);HAL_PWREx_EnterSHUTDOWNMode(); After the shutdown call, the joulescope shows a current draw of 42 uA, which seems very high for shutdown mode.Am I missing something? Any pointers? The reason I want to start with this basic test is because the project I'm working on is for a battery driven sensor, so a low current is crucial.

Hi,I've a project that has quite a lot of peripheral configurations, plus code, based around Nucleo H755.Now I need to port this into a new project based on the same chip (STM32H755ZIT6) but targeting my own board design. I will be using the same peripherals. Is there a convenient way to migrate the project in CubeIDE without having to painstakingly re-enter all of the .ioc's configuration parameters in a clean project?Copying the code over is easy enough, it's just stuff relating to the BSP that I see as problematic.Having previously played with editing the ioc file manually I concluded that this is not a good way forward (and I'm aware that it's not recommended). Thanks

Hello,I originally tagged onto this thread: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/stm32f103-hse-crystal-capacitors/td-p/771200 but I was recommended to make a separate thread. Many of the STM32 datasheets, such as the STM32H753, say that the pin capacitance is 5pF per pin. When trying to size a crystal for the HSE oscillator, the designer is told to follow AN2867. When trying to calculate the stray capacitance we (at a minimum) add the pin capacitance of the two oscillator pins to get 10pF. The STM32H753 datasheet even says to approximate 10pF here on page 232:AN2867 does not recommend any crystals for the STM32 HSE oscillator, so the assumption is that crystal has to have higher than 10pF load capacitance for STM32 devices. I understand that pin capacitance would vary per package. Does ST have a more accurate estimation of pin capacitance? Or does ST have recommendations for crystals for the STM32 HSE oscillator? Thanks,Nino

Hello Which are the correct Capacitors to use for HSE on STM32F103 with the following Crystal?Frequency: 8 MHzLoad capacitance CL: 20 pF Thank you in advance for a quick hint.RegardsMichael

Posted on July 10, 2018 at 14:37I've been designing sub-gram boards for data logging on songbirds using the stm32l432.  Although mostly I use ultra-low power external RTCs, I recently built a test board using a 4pf 32768 crystal.  The question was then how to determine the load capacitors.  After reading the relevant ST appnote and stm32l432 datasheet I assumed that the pin capacitance was ~5pf and, given the simple board, minimal stray capacitance.  This suggested 3pf load capacitors((4-5/2)*2) and a load error of 1.5pf without capacitors.   With a predicted error of 125ppm/pf, I thought it reasonable to try without any additional capacitors in the hopes of saving board real estate in the final design.  I did include capacitor footprints for my test board.   Upon testing, I found an error > 800ppm which was surprising for two reasons -- it suggested a much larger load error than 1.5pf and also made clear that the formula for predicting

Hello, I'm using an STM32H750VB and am trying to use the HSE crystal to communicate over USB to my computer, but it isn't able to connect to my computer. I suspect that the issue lies with the crystal since I tried to probe it with an oscilloscope and wasn't able to get any sort of reading. Additionally, when I run a timed LED blinking code using the internal oscillator, it works properly, but when using HSE it doesn't blink. I attempted to calculate the values of the capacitors based on the crystal load capacitance of 8pF. Based on the image of the circuit and crystal parameters does it look like there is an issue with compatibility or component values?

Hi,I have developed custom board with STM32C071CBT6. I configured USB port with USBX in CDC mode. I configured USB device descriptor values as below: When I connect host Windows 11 PC to my custom board, device manager on PC shows - USB Serial Device(Comxx). It does not show product string as 'STM32 Virtual ComPort'.Please help debugging this issue. Thanks,Pradeep

Today, after updating the latest IDE, my interface has changed to this look (Figure 1), which makes me very uncomfortable. How can I change it to the previous look (Figure 2)?
