When I program my STM32WLE5  using STM32CubeProgrammer and UART, a simple push on the reset button does not reset the MCU.I always need to power-cycle it.Why is the reset-pin not working, or why does it not start the application ? Is there a way to configure the option bytes to solve this ? More info : I am doing this on a custom board, which has a USB-UART (CP2102N). Whenever the device comes out of reset, I check for the USB voltage, and if present, I jump to the bootloader. After programming I remove the USB and reset the device again which should start the application. But until now this second reset does not work and I need to powercycle the MCU.

HI! I am newbie to CUBE AI. I m working on implementing my CNN network that takes input image of 128,128,1 (greyscale) and give an output of 3 classes {class1,class2,class3}.i did convert and try my model to TFLITE successfully on python. then i went to stmcube and did put the model using X-CUBE-AI application template .my problem is with    int acquire_and_process_data(ai_i8* data[]) { /* fill the inputs of the c-model for (int idx=0; idx < AI_NETWORK_IN_NUM; idx++ ) { data[idx] = .... } */ return 0; }  my input buffer is like this  #define AI_NETWORK_IN_1_FORMAT (AI_BUFFER_FORMAT_FLOAT) #define AI_NETWORK_IN_1_HEIGHT (128) #define AI_NETWORK_IN_1_WIDTH (128) #define AI_NETWORK_IN_1_CHANNEL (1) #define AI_NETWORK_IN_1_SIZE (16384) #define AI_NETWORK_IN_1_SIZE_BYTES (65536)  i tried putting image as image [128*128] and image[128][128]

Hello,I've just started working with TouchGFX and I would like to know if there is a possibility of showing an image (for example a .bmp) given the starting memory address where this asset is stored in the internal flash memory. The idea is to have a custom image stored in a specific location that the customer can edit from the bootloader when switching on the machine (let's say the new customized image will take the place iin the flash memory of the old standard one). Is it possible to do something like that? Can anybody give me some advice? The microcontroller is quite limited in both flash and RAM (STM32G0B0RET6)Thank you!M.

I am using Nucleo-G491RE. I am debugging through the built-in ST-Link using STM32CubeIDE 1.18.1. My design uses opamp1 in standalone mode, which assigns OPAMP1_VOUT to PA2 and OPAMP1_VINM to PA3. What configuration of solder bridges will bring these opamp signals to the Arduino or Morpho connectors?  I have studied the user manual (MB1367) section 6.7, but it is not clear to me.

As given on datasheet this microcontroller can support 10/100 Base T Ethernet. Is there any probability that this microcontroller supports Gigabit Ethernet and if yes, please provide the recommended circuitry for the same.

Hardware environment: STM32F405 chip and VL53L5CX-SATEL module;Software environment: Based on the STSW-IMG023 sample code, the code is ported to KEIL5 for use;Problem description: After completing the sensor initialization (ranging frequency 10hz, ranging continuous mode), use polling to read data, call the vl53l5cx_check_data_ready function to read the sensor data: 0x00, 0x03, 0x01, 0x0D, these four values are considered data not ready after judgment.I want to know what these four values mean? I checked the documents I know (DS13754, um2884, etc.) and did not find the relevant register description. Why does this happen, and how should I debug?Thank you!

Hello. I've been trying to implement FreeRTOS and TouchGFX into my STM32G071RB + GFX01M2 application (eventually I'd like to use G0B1RE for extra RAM). I've followed the link: https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/development/touchgfx-hal-development/scenarios/scenarios-configure-rtosbut am experiencing issues trying to get my code to work. The main issue I'm dealing with is the code fails to initialize execute MX_TouchGFX_Init(). After some digging around, I noticed that the code hangs in HAL_delay(100), line 284 of MB1642DisplayDriver.c. Further digging, I found that the external interrupt of the DISPLAY_TEARING_EFFECT_Pin is triggered, which results in the calling of some RTOS functions before the kernel has even started. I noticed that this only happens after Display_DCS_Send_With_Data(DCS_SET_TEAR_ON, arguments, 1) is called. I can make OSWrappers functions check if the kernel has been started, but this causes other problems and I am not sure if this is the correct appr

Hello, I have a custom Board based on the EVSPING4 Dual. I was able to flash the code and Debug with a segger j-link. I added a Uart message after the init and I could see the message with putty. But when I try to connect with motor Pilot the error No STlink connectet pops up. I generated the code with motor control workbench and enabled motor control. In the code the uart is initialized but i cant find any code to actually communicate an control the motors over uart. Thanks

Hello, I am currently working on initializing ST25R3916B (X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1) with Nucleo-H563ZI microcontroller, using the Zephyr RTOS and the zephyr-st25r driver. My primary goal is to successfully initialize the ST25R3916B chip to a state where it can respond to basic SPI commands and eventually perform NFC operations. I am encountering an issue during the initialization phase where the STM32 appears to be correctly sending write and read commands via SPI, but the MISO line consistently reads 0X00 , indicating that the ST25R3916B is not responding or not driving the MISO line with expected data. Hardware Setup: This is the content my overlay file:  / {chosen {zephyr,spi-st25r3916 = &st25r3916_nfc;};}; &spi1 { pinctrl-0 = <&spi1_sck_pa5 &spi1_miso_pg9 &spi1_mosi_pb5>; pinctrl-names = "default"; status = "okay"; st25r3916_nfc: st25r3916@0 { compatible = "st,st25r"; reg = <0>; spi-max-frequency = <4000000>; irq-gpios = <&gpiog 1

Hi, There would appear to be an error in the HAL_CORDIC_Calculate that results in errors when gcc optimsation O3 is turned on. I had the following code:void CORDIC_SineCalcSingleValue(float radiansNorm, float sin) { float angle_q31f; int32_t angle_q31[1]; /* Convert radians normalised over pi to Q31 format */ angle_q31f = radiansNorm * Q_31; angle_q31[0] = (int32_t)angle_q31f; // Convert to Q31 integer format int32_t result_q31[1]; // Output array Cos then Sin /* Calc sine and cos with CORDIC */ if(HAL_CORDIC_Calculate(&hcordic, angle_q31, result_q31, 1, 500) != HAL_OK) /* HAL_MAX_DELAY */ { // Handle error return; } // /* Compiler barrier to prevent reordering */ // __asm volatile ("" ::: "memory"); sin = (float)result_q31[0] / Q_31; // Convert back to float } My theory is the following although nit is probably wrong. This code fails because the HAL_CORDIC_Calculate  argument result_q31 is not specified as volatile by the H

I am testing this with a set of STM32F573 boards, the example taken straight from CubeMX example selector for the STM32H573I-DK board without any changes. I am running it until after the call to HAL_CRYPEx_WrapKey() and before the call to HAL_CRYPEx_UnwrapKey(): /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ /* User key AESKey256 encryption*/ if (HAL_CRYPEx_WrapKey(&hcryp, AESKey256, Encryptedkey, TIMEOUT_VALUE) != HAL_OK) { /* Processing Error */ Error_Handler(); } /* we could not compare results, key is not known and unique for each device */ /* User key AESKey256 decryption*/ if (HAL_CRYPEx_UnwrapKey(&hcryp, Encryptedkey, TIMEOUT_VALUE) != HAL_OK) { /* Processing Error */ Error_Handler(); }Where it says "we could not compare results, key is not known and unique for each device".However, I am comparing results because I am expecting Encryptedkey[] to be different for each chip. But it is always the same! When the chip has TrustZone disabled, it is (in hex):CB3E195F 345C0D8C FAEF2E

I have on my desk an STM32F407 Discovery board and an STM32U083 Nucleo board.  My intent is to write software for the F407 to bootload the U083 via I2C.  As far as I can tell, these are the general steps:Drive BOOT0 high and pulse the NRST pin on the U083 to enter the bootloader.Send appropriate erase/write/read commands to reprogram flash.Drive BOOT0 low and pulse the NRST pin to have the U083 boot from flash.Problem is, I can't even seem to do step 1.  I have a logic analyzer verifying NRST and BOOT0 at the U083 chip, but regardless of the state of BOOT0, if I reset the U083, it boots from flash (i.e. I see my debug output on the UART).Looking at RM0503, section 2.5 Boot configuration, Table 6 Boot modes, there are two ways to boot into system memory.  Summarizing the table's logic conditions:BOOT_LOCK bit must be 0.nBOOT1 bit must be 1.If nBOOT_SEL bit is 0, BOOT0 pin must be 1.If nBOOT_SEL bit is 1, nBOOT0 bit must be 0.Here are the option bytes and their factor

Hello,I haven't seen anyone else bring up this issue on here. I am trying to use the HAL ADC and USB at the same time but whenever i use HAL_ADC_Start_DMA() the USB becomes unrecognized by my computer. When I comment out the line that the HAL_ADC_Start_DMA() call is on the program works fine. Here is an example program I wrote to illustrate the issue. IDE Version: 1.18.1Part Number: stm32f072OS: Windows11/* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /* USER CODE END Header */ /* Includes ------------------------------------------------------------------*/ #include "main.h" #include "usb_device.h" /* Private includes ----------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN Includes */ #include "usbd_cdc_if.h" #include <stdbool.h> #include "usbd_def.h" #include "usbd_core.h" #include "stdio.h" extern USBD_HandleTypeDef hUsbDeviceFS; /* USER CODE END Includes */ /* Private typedef -----------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN

I am using the VL53L4CD sensor with a nucleo board by using the API provided by ST.By using the xshut pin and the API, I can change the device address. But as soon as I shut down the power or reset the sensor through xshut, its address comes back to the default one.Am I doing something wrong? If not, is there any way to save the new address in non-volatile way?

Hello, I have a custom board wich is based on the evspin32g4-dual Board. I generated the code with motorcontrol work bench and could upload it with a j-link. I added an uart output in the startup and noticed that it kept printing it, so the board was constantly resetting. When I stepped through the code the problem was in HAL_Delay, as the HAL_GetTick() function always returned the same value, thus not leaving the function. Could there be an error with the external Crystal? I am using a ECS-240-8-37-CKM-TR with 8pF caps. Thanks!

In the Cube AI documentation (stneuralart_api_and_stack.html) there is this code block /* Wait for next event */ if (ll_aton_rt_ret == LL_ATON_RT_WFE) { /*** subject to change to fit also user code requirements ***/ LL_ATON_OSAL_WFE(); }to wait for an event while an epoch is running. I looked into what WFE means and it turns out that it puts the CPU in a low power state and crucially gates all the clocks. The effect of this is that the 4 timers I have running generating PWMs all start getting delayed. I can see on the scope the period increasing up to 4-5x.Is there another way to wait for the epoch to finish without going into a low power state? I am not currently using an RTOS but will switch to one later.

I configured STM32CubeMX to have a timebase source as SysTick. I'm using this for my scheduler. its running at 1ms. I also configured tim3 for 1ms sortof. But for some reason this will not stay in synch with systick. They are drifting constantly apart. The green lines are racing across my screen. Even though they are 1ms period as well. But obviously they couldn't be. I just don't understand why. Or maybe I have an issue with my data??

Hi, I am using Nucleo-WBA65RI and I have enabled trustzone. I generated the project using CubeMX and it generated a secure and a non-secure project. I have enabled the trustzone option byte and am able to run an example project with secure and non-secure projects on my board. The problem is, I am not using CubeIDE for my project. I am using VSCode and am able to debug the secure project but it crashes when it is supposed to jump to non-secure project. And I am unable to debug the non-secure project. Can anyone provide me a working launch.json script using cortex-debug and stlink?  If my project behavior indicates some other problem, please suggest me a solution for that too. Thanks!

Hello , I'm using STM32G431RB, and I am trying to flash the MCU via UART1 using PA9 and PA10 pins but I can't make it work ..I get an error like "Error: Activating device: KO. Please, verify the boot mode configuration and check the serial port configuration. Reset your device then try again... "Serial port configuration = 9600 8e1 (but it's the same thing with other baudrates)i'm using STM32Cube Programmer , also I followed the instructions in AN2606 , the application note states that it should follow pattern 15 , as far as I can view the option bytes using the onboard ST-Link:BOOT_LOCK(bit) = uncheckedBoot0(pin) = manually set highnBoot1(bit) = checkedBoot0_SW(bit) = checkedThe chip is mounted on a new PCB without any other connections than PA9, PA10, RCC_OSC_IN, RCC_OSC_OUT and Serial Wire for debugging. Can someone help me?Thanks to everyone in advance

Hello,I am wondering if a nucleo stm32 board could be used directly in a commercial product with others parts?

Hi all,I'm working on a project based on the STM32H7 and STM32G4 series, and I'm performing flash write and erase operations using the STM32 HAL functions:HAL_FLASH_Program()HAL_FLASHEx_Erase() My question is: Should these functions be placed into the .ramfunc section to avoid instruction fetch stalls or faults when writing/erasing flash on the same bank where code is executing? Is there any direct feeback from ST about this topic? On this topic I've the following observations:I know that flash memory becomes unavailable during erase/programming, and the reference manual warns that executing from the same bank can cause CPU stalls or faults.(from H7 RM:  The embedded flash memory supports read-while-write operations provided the read and write operations target different banks)However, in my testing:I'm calling these HAL functions from flash, without placing them in RAM.I'm writing to or erasing a sector in the same bank where my code resides (e.g. bootloader on
