I am currently working or a project with microcontrollers STM32 and this is my current situation:- I want to send from my NUCLEO f4476ZE the desired speed via UART to my other controller which is B-G431B-ESC1 discovery kit with STM32G431CB MCU.- I have this discovery kit connected to the motor (I can make it run with the CubeIDE project generated from the Motor Control Workbench that i have created with this Discovery kit and a Maxon 251601 motor). The problem that I have is that i don't know which structure of message should I send from the Nucleo to the ESC1 for the ESC1 to read and interpret it correctly to move the motor at the desired speed of the message.I was trying sending this as desired speed:char tx_buff[32]; int velocidad = 1500; while (1) { sprintf(tx_buff, "SPD%d\n", velocidad); HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart2, (uint8_t*)tx_buff, strlen(tx_buff), 1000); HAL_Delay(1000); }And for the receiver I wanted to add this: HAL_UART_Receive_IT(&huart2, &rx_buf[rx

I just installed the latest STM32CubeIDE 1.18.1 on a mac Studio M2 running Sequoia 15.5.  The default GNU make on the machine is /usr/bin/make, version 3.81.  The IDE is clearly creating makefiles for a later version of make, because building applications in the IDE errors out with "**** multiple target patterns" on a make rule that lists the elf and map files as targets.  I have make 4.4.1 installed via brew, but how to tell STM32CubeIDE where to pick it up is buried somewhere and I'm not seeing anything in any documentation.  Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi,I'm currently trying to get Bluetooth working from Zephyr. I'm working with the Zephyr sample codezephyr\samples\bluetooth\peripheral_dis.I'm using a Nucleo-WB55RG board. Using STMCubeProgrammer I've loaded the FUS at 0x080EE000 and the file stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin at 0x080D0000. The chart in the release notes doesn't appear completely with any of the browsers I've tried so I may be using the wrong addresses, but it's the best I can do.The log from STMCubeProgrammer shows:17:25:54 : STM32CubeProgrammer API v2.19.0 | Windows-64Bits17:26:03 : UR connection mode is defined with the HWrst reset mode17:26:03 : ST-LINK SN : 066EFF56498177486722122217:26:03 : ST-LINK FW : V2J39M2717:26:03 : Board : NUCLEO-WB55RG17:26:03 : Voltage : 3.26V17:26:03 : SWD freq : 4000 KHz17:26:03 : Connect mode: Normal17:26:03 : Reset mode : Hardware reset17:26:03 : Device ID : 0x49517:26:03 : Revision ID : Rev X17:26:03 : Debug in Low Power mode enabled.17:26:03 : UPLOADING OPTION BYTES DATA ...17:26:0

Hi All,   I am working on a design that has been working for years. Now we wanted to design a revision of the PCB with the LSM6DS3TR but sadly it became obsolete and I can't find it back on the website of ST.Could the LSM6DS3TR-C be a Drop-In-Replacement for this part or another type? Thanks in advance & kind regards,

Hello,I'm kind of newbie in the STM32 world, I'm more used with another brand of 32bits microcontroller that also have a "parrallel port" for interfacing external ram device.My concern is about the FMC on the STM32H7.I want to read/write a 16bits device.Currently I'm using this configuration (almost the default one) :My code for testing a write operation :.... I can't see any problem in the code but when I check signals with an oscilloscope, I can see that the CPU is issuing 4 consecutive write operation : A0 / A1 are also increasing as if the CPU is writing to 4 different places.How can it be possible.I have seen in the datasheet that when AXI bus and external bus is different size, it can occurs. But in that case how to perform a correct 16 bit operation ??Other people seems to have this kind of trouble but nobody replied with a solution :https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/h7-series-fmc-question/td-p/131535https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-embedded-softwar

Hi,I am currently using the following microcontroller (STM32F100C8T6B) in my design. I have built my project using the STM32CubeIDE (STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.18.1). I have created the following output files (BIN, HEX, and ELF) and I was able to RUN and download the source code onto my board (Design) using the STM32CubeIDE using the "elf"  file successfully. I used the Segger J-Link as a probe.If I used a different Flash Programmer such as STM32Cube Programmer or ST-Link instead of STM32CubeIDE to download the my code onto the board using the output files I created such as (.BIN, .HEX, .ELF or .SREC), it download onto the the board, the board doesn't not programmed or the download doesn't work.It appears that the board is programmed only whenever I use the STM32CubeIDE environment, not the regular Flash Programmers. The bottom line is that it works with IDE environment, but not with the regular Flash programmers are used. I am not sure what the problem is an

I have designed a board using the STM32U083KCU, i have programmed it once with a simple program made with STM32CubeIde that only prints "Hello\n" over USART2 on pins PA2 and PA3. I have flashed the chip over the same pins by holding the BOOT0 Pin high and power cycling it. It flashed it when it was blank. Now i tried to flash the full Program i wanted to upload and tried to upload it over the same method, using STM32CubeProg over UART2 on pins PA2 and PA3. I have held BOOT0 high. But it didn't flash, it said the Device is KO. I tried lowering the baud rates but this didn't help. I have tried to program it using SWD with a STM32Nucleo as the programmer. But the SWD doesn't connect to the chip. The STM works as it sends the "Hello\n" message to the computer if BOOT0 is low but for some reason also when BOOT0 is High. Is there a possibility to rescue the MCU ? Thank you for your time (:

STM32WB55 NUCLEOI have 2 ADXL362s on SPI1.They both have their own separate chip select GPIO pins.They are both configured the same.They are both in the same orientation (on the same breadboard).The output of both is processed using the same logic.One of them gives expected results, the other is consistent but wrong! Just as a sanity check, I am OK to run two sensors on the same SPI bus as long as I'm clear which chip is selected?

Hello,STM32F411CE microcontroller.Where can I find, which of command the Erase or Extended Erase command is supported by the UART bootloader?There is a note 4 in the AN3155 (page 7 and,also see Figure 1 below) which says that the Erase (x043) and Extended Erase (0x44) are exclusive. A device can support either the Erase command or the Extended Erase command, but not both.    Figure 1:

Hello, I am trying to use one MCU to program another MCU, both of which are STM32 F746ZG boards.Let the MCU that is sending the commands be MCU 1, and the MCU in the bootloader mode be MCU2.I use the following command in the MCU2 to start its default bootloader:BOOT_JumpToAddress(DEFAULT_BOOTLOADER_ADDRESS); void BOOT_JumpToAddress(uint32_t address) { printf("Jumping to 0x%08X\r\n", address); // Function pointer to reset handler void (*app_reset_handler)(void) = (void *)(*((volatile uint32_t *)(address + 4U))); // Disable RCC, HAL, reset SYSTICK, and remap vector table offset HAL_RCC_DeInit(); HAL_DeInit(); SysTick->CTRL = 0; SysTick->LOAD = 0; SysTick->VAL = 0; SCB->VTOR = address; uint32_t msp_value = *((volatile uint32_t *)address); __set_MSP(msp_value); // Jump into application app_reset_handler(); }Then, on MCU1, I have coded the following functions so that I can send certain commands by typing them into my serial emulator PuTTY:printf("cmd: "); w

Hi There, I am developing a product where I need to remotely wake up my electronics from 0.5-1.5 m, and also read back some user information about the unit I just woke up (e.g. serial number, firmware version the MCU is running etc). It needs to be as low power draw as possible while asleep. I was thinking that RFID could be a good candidate for this, with an IC that can harvest RF energy to output a signal (gpio or just output voltage/current based on harvested energy) that I can use to wake my MCU. It can also send back user data to the scanner such as firmware version and serial data. Given my range, I was thikning that UHF is the most appropriate (correct me if I am wrong here). Does STM have any products that suit my needs? I was looking at the STM25DV04KC, however being in the HF range, I am concerned I will not get the range that I require. If it could, what size of antenna would I require to get 0.5-1.5m wake range? If it cant, do you have any other recommen

Hey everyone,I'm working on a custom board based on the STM32H753 MCU. I successfully programmed it using STM32CubeIDE initially, but ran into an issue when trying to re-flash it — I got the error:"Unable to erase flash memory to reprogram it"To work around this, I connected to the board using STM32CubeProgrammer and performed a full chip erase using the following settings (details below). I clicked Apply, and the flash erase appeared successful. After erasing, I’m no longer able to connect to the board via either Cube IDE or Cube Programmer. I now get:"Unable to get the core ID" Debug Interface: ST-Link  externalBoard was connecting and programming before the flash eraseNow completely unresponsive via SWD.Does full flash erase wipe the area that contains the boot/configuration code, preventing debug access?What hardware signals should I verify?Is there a way to force the MCU into a recoverable modeI will also share the schematics Note:This is not exactly the same a

Dear ST Community Support,We are currently evaluating the ST4SIM-200M eSIM module for integration into our IoT devices and would like to clarify some details regarding its activation and compatibility.Specifically, we would like to confirm whether the ST4SIM-200M is exclusively activated through Truphone, or if there are alternative connectivity management platforms or MNOs (Mobile Network Operators) that support activation of this eSIM.Could you please provide a list of other compatible platforms or partners, if any, who can provision and activate the ST4SIM-200M eSIM?Your guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated as it will help us with network planning and deployment decisions.Thank you in advance for your support.Best regards,manoj

I've installed TouchGFX . When I try to create a project, TouchGFX crashes at 88% and simply closes. When I checked the TouchGFXDesigner.log file the error is System.IO.FileLoadException: Failed to load native freetype library!same issue?  Any idea how I can fix this?

I have been trying to figure out why I keep getting consistent hard faults when trying to access peripheral instances after waking from Stop Mode 2.  Here is the code I am usingFor entering stop mode:static void SystemClockConfig_STOP(void) { /* A) Ensure V_CORE supports 120 MHz again */ HAL_PWREx_ControlVoltageScaling(PWR_REGULATOR_VOLTAGE_SCALE1_BOOST); /* B) FLASH: raise latency before any SYSCLK jump */ __HAL_FLASH_SET_LATENCY(FLASH_LATENCY_5); while (__HAL_FLASH_GET_LATENCY() != FLASH_LATENCY_5) {} /* C) Handle AHB overshoot if needed */ if ((RCC->CFGR & RCC_CFGR_HPRE) == RCC_SYSCLK_DIV1) { MODIFY_REG(RCC->CFGR, RCC_CFGR_HPRE, RCC_SYSCLK_DIV2); } /* D) Bring HSE & PLL back */ __HAL_RCC_HSE_CONFIG(RCC_HSE_ON); while (!__HAL_RCC_GET_FLAG(RCC_FLAG_HSERDY)) {} __HAL_RCC_PLL_ENABLE(); while (!__HAL_RCC_GET_FLAG(RCC_FLAG_PLLRDY)) {} /* E) Switch to PLL */ MODIFY_REG(RCC->CFGR, RCC_CFGR_SW, RCC_SYSCLKSOURCE_PLLCLK); while ((__HAL_RCC_GET_SYSCLK_

Heyho,I just checked the MCU selector in CubeMX (6.13), and to my surprise I didn't find any MPU supporting the following:gigabit ethernet (RGMII)FDCAN2 SAIs (I need at least 4 standard I2S/PCM "stereo" channels)The MP series don't have FDCAN.Then I checked the N6, but at least in CubeMX I was not able to configure RGMII with all 4 SAI blocks (1 SAI block as master, the 3 other blocks as sync slaves).That correct ?Thanks in advance!

I have a Nucleo-L4R5 board that I want to power externally and for power consumption reasons, deactivate the ST-Link.For that reason I removed the jumper from JP6 and applied 5V power to CN8 pin 9 (5V)and 13 (Gnd).USB is plugged to the ST-Link and I program the board with the timedWakeUp-example from the STM32Duino-LowPower library.The builtin LED starts blinking as expected, but as soon as I pull the USB from the ST-Link part of the board, the blinking stops.Board version is MB1312-A01 to which I cannot find the documentation/schematic. Only newer A03 Version is available.When I look into the A03 schematic, all should be fine and the MCU running when JP6 jumper is pulled. The 3V3 regulator U6 is powered and I can measure that the 3V3 voltage is present. Any idea what might be wrong?

Hello, I am new on the embedded subject, and I need some help.I want to practice I2C communication, so I connected Nucleo-L4P5ZG (master), and MAX6604EVKIT (slave), the general goal is to read registers and send the result via UART.I used the STM32cubeMX to generate the initial code.I used the HAL function " HAL_I2C_Mem_Read"  to read register in address 0x6.Build process went without errors.During debug, when looking at the scope, it seems that the MCU don't change the register address to 0x6, and it is stuck on 0x0.The slave address is correct, and I receive ACK (0 logic).I am attaching the main.c.Do you know what seems to be the problem?ThanksShay

Hello Community!I have an issue with reading / writing the RTC in an H723 MCU.The issue is:I can set the Clock to a date, but when I read out the RTC, then the year is 10 years in the future.e.g. I set the time to now (2025 / 06 / 22 19:mm:ss) and I read out the RTC after that, i get the corret day of month, month, hour, minute and second but the yearis 2035 (or better: 35 instead of 25, because the year in the Date Typedef is an u8 integer). This is my code:  RTC_DateTypeDef d; RTC_TimeTypeDef t; d.Year = (uint8_t)(hDateTime->dt.year - 2000); d.Month = hDateTime->dt.month; d.Date = hDateTime->dt.day; t.Hours = hDateTime->tm.hour; t.Minutes = hDateTime->tm.min; t.Seconds = hDateTime->tm.sec; if(hDateTime->tm.dst) { t.DayLightSaving = RTC_DAYLIGHTSAVING_ADD1H; } else { t.DayLightSaving = RTC_DAYLIGHTSAVING_NONE; } uint8_t retval = 0; if(HAL_OK != (HAL_RTC_SetTime(&hrtc, &t, RTC_FORMAT_BIN))) retval |= 2; if(HAL_OK != (HAL_RTC_SetDate(

Hi everyone ! first time poster, hope I'm doing it right.I'm working with an STM32F107VCT and using CubeMX to generate code.I have an issue with the RTC calendar, it goes back to 0 every reset which, if I'm not mistaken, it should not on a soft reset.I've found that in the MX_RTC_Init function, the date and time are set to the default values (see the CubeMX generated code below)./** Initialize RTC and set the Time and Date */ sTime.Hours = 0x0; sTime.Minutes = 0x0; sTime.Seconds = 0x0;   if (HAL_RTC_SetTime(&hrtc, &sTime, RTC_FORMAT_BCD) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } DateToUpdate.WeekDay = RTC_WEEKDAY_MONDAY; DateToUpdate.Month = RTC_MONTH_JANUARY; DateToUpdate.Date = 0x1; DateToUpdate.Year = 0x0;   if (HAL_RTC_SetDate(&hrtc, &DateToUpdate, RTC_FORMAT_BCD) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); }Removing this piece of code solves the issue but since it is not user code, it is back every time I need to re-generated code.Am I missing something or is this

Hi guys!From the last week I am trying to connect my TOF sensor with the STM32, but the I2C Communication has not been started. I have tried to use I2C Scanner to scan the address of the   VL53L7CX SATEL breakout board but was not even able to gets its address back. I also tried changing the VL53L7CX SATEL breakout board but it was also not very useful.  I have tried using both the STM32 Cube Ide software package that they provide for the TOF Sensosrs and the STM32duino VL53L7CX Library but was unsuccessful in making them work.Can anyone let me know if I am making any mistakes or if my approach is wrong in any way!Thank you in advance!

Hello, My system is required to operate at -40C.The datasheet states that low range ambient temperature is -30C, while the junction temperature is -40C.Can you please explain the discrepancy between the two? Under what conditions can the junction temperature be lower than the ambient temperature?Can I use the ECMF02-4CMX8 in my case? Thank you in advance.
