Hi,I am working on a consumer product based on STM32L4 microcontroller and need to register a new PID before we start shipping. Appreciate some assistance.Similar threads:https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X00009XkXJESA3/help-needed-with-usb-pid-allocationhttps://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X00009XkeVDSAZ/pid-sublicencingThanks!Conor

Hy, I am planning a system where 2 STM32F042 UFQFPN28 devices serve as CAN Controller and are controlled by one master CPU. PCB Space and CPU pins are short. I need to guarantee a fail safe FW update for the two STM32 MCUs.I plan to wire the system as follows:My host CPU can switch pin functions between SPI MOSI / USART TX and SPI MISO / USART RX. So in application mode I do SPI communication with two separate SS lines, in bootloader mode, I will hold one STM in reset and communicate with the other over UART in bootloader mode. How can I activate bootloader mode? This device has empty check mechanism, so on first boot it activate bootloader automatically? And to trigger a firmware update in field, I need to erase 4 byte of User Flash from application and perform a reset to enter bootloader mode?To stay fail safe, I assume I write the first 4 bytes of User Flash (address 0x0800 0000) at the very end of bootloader action, right? My device will be pluggable. And I do not know the CAN bus stat

STM32 experts,I bought 2xNUCLEO-F042K6 for testing purposes. Reference manual says that uart speed at oversampling 16 is 3mbit/s, for oversampling 8 is 6mbit/s.Here is my working configuration. I send 100 bytes data at 3mbit/s and oversampling 16 from first nucleo to the second nucleo board: huart1.Instance = USART1; huart1.Init.BaudRate = 3000000; huart1.Init.WordLength = UART_WORDLENGTH_8B; huart1.Init.StopBits = UART_STOPBITS_1; huart1.Init.Parity = UART_PARITY_NONE; huart1.Init.Mode = UART_MODE_TX_RX; huart1.Init.HwFlowCtl = UART_HWCONTROL_NONE; huart1.Init.OverSampling = UART_OVERSAMPLING_16; huart1.Init.OneBitSampling = UART_ONE_BIT_SAMPLE_DISABLE; huart1.AdvancedInit.AdvFeatureInit = UART_ADVFEATURE_NO_INIT; if (HAL_UART_Init(&huart1) != HAL_OK) { _Error_Handler(__FILE__, __LINE__); }everything works fine.But...When I change to 6mbit/s and oversampling 8 not all data is received. Above 3mbit/s data is corrupted. huart1.Instance = USART1; huart1.Init.BaudRate =

Hello,I'm independent developer involved in a STM32H7 project.I need to activate traces in SWV console of TrueSTUDIO. I've attached my .io CubeMX project, I think it is well configured.I've configured in the debugger tab of TrueStudio : SWD // SWV checkbox I've checked the port 0 of "ITM Stimulus ports" zone in the "Configure Trace" window and activated "Start Trace" button. Finally in the main loop of my program i've added : ITM_SendChar('T');Nothing appear in the SWC console, is anybody can help ?

I am trying to get I2C on the STM32F411 to work with an audio codec. For now I am just trying a simple loopback but I am already running into trouble. I am using the standard lib and my code always hangs after sending the 7bit address. I checked everything with a DSO and did step-by-step debugging. Surprisingly the problem is NOT that the code gets stuck in the while loop after the 7bitAddress. The address does get acknowledged by the receiver and the program successfully leaves that loop. But after that no other transmission function has any effect. I2C_SendData won’t send anything and I2C_GenerateStop won’t generate any stop condition even though both get executed in my debugger. All I see is SDA high and the SCL pulled low by the master. The I2C peripheral seems to be stuck in a busy state without being responsive and I don't understand why that is.Looking at my registers I saw that ADDR gets successfully cleared after sending the address. TXE is set and that’s the only bi

I am referring to FATFS library1.I tried to use \n and \t it didnt work. i wanted to make text appear in a new line. 2. in the memory card i wanted to store a vairable integer, How can i do that? As of now i could able to save only character. In FATFS is there any other way i can save data apart from .txt file?

I have got a program running that goes through the following stepsNfcv Poller InitialisationNfcv Poller Check PresenceNfcv Poller Collision ResolutionNfv Poller SelectNfv Poller Read Single BlockThis is reading iCode tags using the ISO15693 protocol, but the response i get back from the Read Single Block is 5 bytes long, with what appears to be an additional 0x00 at the beginning. I know this because the Read Single Block routine takes several arguments, one being the rxbuffer, its size and the rcvLen - it is this last parameter that is getting set to 5.To confirm my code was working correctly, I used the ST25R3911B Disco Demo board and the windows software to set values into block zero that were non zero values. For exampleValue Set on PC: 0/0: FF 0/1:00 0/2:00 0/3:00Value read on Raspberry Pi: 00FF000000Value set on PC: : 0/0: 00 0/1:01 0/2:02 0/3:03Value read on Raspberry Pi: 0000010203So I am confident that I have an extra value at the beginning of the returned dataset. Is this a c

I use STM32Cube Ver 4.26.1 to generate LWIP code with HTTPD, it keep print "Assertion "HTTP headers not included in file system" failed at line 2271 in ..\Middlewares\Third_Party\LwIP\src\apps\httpd\httpd.c " .I find it is in file "httpd_opts.h", " LWIP_HTTPD_DYNAMIC_HEADERS" is not defined. From Cube ==>Configuration ==>LWIP ==> HTTPD, nowhere can I define " LWIP_HTTPD_DYNAMIC_HEADERS".Any suggestions?

I want to implement a callback for USB connection / disconnection.I see that CubeMX generates HAL_PCD_ConnectCallback, as __weak in file stm32f7xx_hal_pcd.c, but the problem is that it's already defined in file usbd_conf.c. And there's no option for user code there. So how can I add my code to this callback? Thanks

Hi, colleges!I use Nucleo-144 STm32F767 development board to learn USB. Now - Application example - device USB MSC. The example uses SD card, with I haven't. I want to use internal instead of SD card. So, I changed the "usbd_storage.c" file. Plugged and not played =) Error - Cann't start this device (code 10). My STM32 is falling in HardFault_Handler. I've put break point in "Handle Enumeration done Interrupt" and seen the process has stopped. The enumeration process is done. Ok. What is going then? Which step is next? Where I need to put my break point? I don't really know how to debug USB transaction and communication process. Wireshark doesn't see my device at all. /* Private variables ---------------------------------------------------------*/ uint8_t usbMassStorage[0x1000]; ....   int8_t STORAGE_GetCapacity(uint8_t lun, uint32_t *block_num, uint16_t *block_size) { *block_num = sizeof(usbMassStorage)/512; *block_size = 512; return 0; }   int8_t STORAGE_IsReady(uint8_t

Hello,I am trying to configure USART1 on Nucleo-32 board using HAL. Code is suppose to first it receive the message and then it transmits the same message. My problem is RDR is showing reading garbage value. Can someone point out was is wrong?(Please ignore my indentation of code- this is just my test run)

LIS2DH12, Zero-g level offset is 40mg at FS bit set to '00'.When using the FS bit set to '11' and Normal resolution mode, what value is it?40mg * 12 = 480mg ?or40mg * 48 = 1920mg?

For example timer A: is it low-speed (APB1) 'APB1 timer clock' or high-speed APB2 'APB2 timer clock'?I read the timer and RCC sections but could not figure this out...Can you tell me where this is documented? Thanks!

Hello,I'm still learning how to handle timers in CubeMx. I've got some simple questions.I'm using TIM1 and TIM2 of the L432KC. In the clock tree, I see APB1/APB2 peripheral and timer clocks bus frequencies. I thought that when I set a prescaler, the APBx timer clock frequency is the one divided by the prescaler, but actually is the APBx peripheral clock frequency. What's the real difference?Second question: I've set timer 2 in PWM input to measure the period of an input signal. So, .....period = HAL_TIM_ReadCapturedValue(&htim1, TIM_CHANNEL_2); ....Does this say the period in milliseconds, right?Third question:I read in an app note:The TIMxCLK frequency is set to 72 MHz, the prescaler is 0x0 so the TIM2 counter clock frequency is 72 MHz. So the minimum frequency value to measure is 1100 Hz.How do I calculate that minimun frequency?Last question:When setting the PWM input mode or input capture mode to measure an external signal, how do I choose the prescaler and counter period effec

Hi ! I have a Nucelo-L476RG with a NFC03A1 and a IDW01M1 wifi module (I also have the IDW04A1) and I want to send the RFID tag scanned with the NFC03A1 via a wifi module but I cant find any example on the internet to help me.

when I pull the log data to view the time event, there was a time skip then the RTC is no longer have accurate time for the remaining data, as showing below: from 2:36 it jump to 13:32, everything after 13:32 have wrong time, i'm not sure if what I explain make sense but if anyone do please advise how to fix this

Hi, I'm working on st25r3911B disco board and I want to read & write Mifare classic tags so any one can help me regarding this, because Mifare classic needs crypto1 and I don't know how to work with it.

Hi, I am trying to store the converted data from ADC to memory card. as of now i can able to store the data and read the values of adc but when i tried to store the values of adc in memory card i could not able to do. i have used the below code. I have mounted and declared objects related to sd card(FATFS) globally. By using the below code i could only able to save the last value of adc but i would like to store every value of adc that has been converted since beginning to end ( till i stop).I presumed as i have declared adc in interrupt mode after every conversion of adc it comes to the below function9cnvcpltcallback) so i have added lines related to sd card. right now, i would like to konw how can i continously store the values of adc pin in sd card. Please let me know. void HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback(ADC_HandleTypeDef* hadc){ /* Prevent unused argument(s) compilation warning */ UNUSED(hadc); unsigned int temp=0;  adcval= HAL_ADC_GetValue(&hadc1); /* NOTE : Thi

Posted on December 20, 2017 at 10:13I've bought one X-NUCLEO-NFC05A1 board, all ST25R3911B_Discovery_GUI functions work fine. But i cannot find the mifare classic function on the GUI. Is there any update for this?  Where can i find the mifare classic supporting firmware and its source code?BTW. the X-NUCLEO-NFC05A1 have Arduino compatible pins, is there any official RFHal OO porting for mbed platform? If so, many MCUs can work with ST25R3911B easier, not only F4, L4 family.#mbed #mifare #st25r3911b-disco

Purpose is to generate 4 mutually phase shifted PWMs. Regular master/slave mode will require 8 timers in that case (right?). So thought of using the following, if possible:TIM1 = master to TIM2, TIM2 = slave of TIM1 and master to TIM3, TIM3 = slave of TIM2 and master to TIM17, TIM17 = slave of TIM3 (Will have to make sure there is no interlock which prevents TIMx and TIMy to be in master slave mode). Device planning to use is: STM32F334xxx.HRTIMs already used up.

Hi, I have a problem with a minimal project using STM32CubeMX (version 4.27), an STM32F407VG and generating code for MDK-ARM5 (Keil). I create a new project, configure UART3 on pins PD8 and PD9. I add a simple printout on the UART in the main loop (not in an interrupt) giving the HAL_GetTick() as an ascii string and the value stays at zero continously. Similarly, any calls to HAL_Delay etc. hangs the processor. I've also tested to configure the RCC (HSE crystal) and clock settings (HSE 8mhz, using "resolve clock issues") in addition to the UART, but with the same results. Am I missing some other important configuration to be done in the CubeMX gui or should I add any user code to ensure that SysTick_Handler is called? The only added code are as below, in the sections indicated by the USER CODE comments in Src/main.c. /* USER CODE BEGIN 0 */ void uart_send (const char *str) { uint16_t size; for (size=0; str[size] != 0; size++); HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart3, (uint8_t *) str, size, HA

The Automatic mode in the ST-LINK Utility hangs whenever I press the START button. I've seen on the forum similar problems with version J28. The solution was to downgrade the ST-LINK debugger to J27. Does the J29 version have the same bug?Is there any planned release for addressing this bug?

Posted on February 10, 2018 at 00:46 Im Using STM32F767ZI Nucleo Board which has 2Mbytes of flash for code storage. It also allows for the flash to be evenly divided between two banks. This gives bank 1 one Mbyte of data, and bank 2 one Mbyte of data. Bank 1 Address offset in Flash is0x08000000 Bank 2 Address offset in Flash is0x08100000 With the use of nDBOOT = nDBANK = 0 option bytes the memory is configured in the dual bank, dual boot mode. My Current Testing Procedure: Step 1) I compile the firmwarewhich has a single byte indicating the version of the firmware. I compile it twice once with version byte as 1, and once with version byte as 2. Otherwise its identical code. Step 2) I use STM32 ST-Link Utility to manually program each version into each bank and run it. I do this for both version with both banks, so 4 times. I use the following option bytes to run from bank 1 while programming the .bin at offset for Bank 1: And i use the following option bytes to ru
