Hi all,I'm currently working on a bootloader for the STM32L052 MCU. I have a very simple bootlader at this early stage in the development. I have a simple application program that consists of a flashing LED, it compiles to a 4KB .bin file. I then convert this bin file to a uint8_t array to store in the RAM of the bootloader so I can simply test the writing of the program into flash without developing a UART protocol etc. The final version will be using NFC to download the code. I have the bootlader program starting at 0x0800 0000 in the FLASH and the application at 0x0800 F000. The bootloader simply writes the array into this location of memory, then sets the MSP to the first 32bit work of the application address and casts the second word as a function and calls it to launch the application. I have used the AN4657 as reference. However when the application is launched, I get a Hard Fault exception. I think this is due to the way I have the application project setup or perhaps the way I

Hi, is there any way to reset all registers to their default values rather than doing it manually? There is a option call "reboot memory content". However, it seems to be no effect to other registers. So I am not sure what is this thing doing, can any one also tell me what does "reboot memory content" mean?

Hi All,I am using the STM32F103C8?T6 board with I2C PCF8574 with 16x2 1602LCD.When I am initializing the LCD the the backlight automatically goes of.I have tried many times. but result is same. Please advise

hello! as I want to implement TCP/IP and Fatfs based application I have to use HAL library which I'm not very comfortable with. so for other peripherals like USART, SPI and I2C i want to use STD peripheral library which is much easier to understand and implement. or anyone can suggest me an example or reference code using STD peripheral library with TCP/IP stack for stm3220xG eval board.

Hi, i try to produce a PWM to learn but when i try to make this signal on TIM1 channelXn it doesn't matter (for example on PB13 and PA7). On Channel1 all works fine (PC0).What is the difference ?

I've been trying to fins out what exactly this means:"The multi-layer bus matrix allows masters to perform data transfers concurrently as long asthey are addressing different slave modules."(AN4031 Using the STM32F2, STM32F4 and STM32F7 Series DMA controller, 2.1 Multi-layer bus matrix)What I wonder is: are the DMA transfers between different slaves "invisible" to each other - are the transfers truly concurrent? If there is a DMA from, say, internal SRAM to FMC-bus, how does that affect the core/queues?(That is: are the queues in the core-side of the bus matrix?)How about DMA transfer from external SRAM to external SRAM: does the DMA interfere with the core access to internal SRAM/internal FLASH?Can continuous DMA transfer slow down the core altogether, or is the bus matrix a matrix of full buses instead of "arbitration matrix"? And how about the output FIFO of the Chrom-ART?The manuals don't seem to be clear enough for me about that. And why does it say "(Cybercom)" next to my nickname

In the datasheet, it says that LA_TyOff can be eliminated by enabling built-in high pass filter, but for accelerometer, the high pass filter can't be disabled (I assume that the normal mode means high pass filter is enabled, in CTRL_REG7_XM). I had also enabled AFDS, which I think is to use high pass filter mode data, but there are still about 40mg LA_TyOff error in it. So what does it mean that it can be eliminated?

Hi,I am working on USART3 in STM32F407VG Discovery board using stm pheripheral libraries. I am sending a character 'a' but in serial port i am getting data as 3. Please check my main function and kindly help.

I'm trying to build the LwIP_HTTP_Server_Raw demo project for STM32F769-EVAL, which comes with STM32CubeF7 V1.12.0.(project path is .\STM32Cube_FW_F7_V1.12.0\Projects\STM32F769I_EVAL\Applications\LwIP\LwIP_HTTP_Server_Raw)There is a pile of compilation error when building the codes in this directory:../Middlewares/Third_Party/LwIP/test/After checking the source code, it seems some unit test implementation is missing or incomplete. For example, in this file:/Middlewares/Third_Party/LwIP/test/unit/lwip_check.hthe included "check.h" is missing. No such header file exists in the STM32CubeF7 package. Where can I get these source files for the missing unit test?Is anyone encountering the same problem?

Hey everyone,I'm seeing something weird.I've got a working SDIO in 4 bit mode, with dma (FIFO enabled with peripheral flow controller) and using a stm32f722ze.It works perfectly. I can write a large bunch of data to the SDcard relatively quickly even if it isn't aligned with the SDcards block size. This all happens in the main function though.I have a timer running in input capture, it reads in data also using the same DMA (i.e. DMA2) although a different channel, once it has filled the buffer it starts filling a secondary buffer (multi-buffer mode). If I call f_write in the callback for the DMA from the input capture, the sdcard hangs. It gets stuck in either one of these portions :DRESULT SD_read(BYTE lun, BYTE *buff, DWORD sector, UINT count) { DRESULT res = RES_ERROR; ReadStatus = 0; uint32_t timeout; #if (ENABLE_SD_DMA_CACHE_MAINTENANCE == 1) uint32_t alignedAddr; #endif   if(BSP_SD_ReadBlocks_DMA((uint32_t*)buff, (uint32_t) (sector), count) == MSD_OK) { /* Wait that t

Posted on January 26, 2018 at 18:50Hi,I have a problem with the PLLSRC of a STM32F030RC : to obtain 24MHz for the sysclk I have to use PLLMUL @ x6 with HSI (8MHz) but 6x8 = 48MHz ?If I output the sysclk on a MCO pin (with no div) I have actually 24MHz.After use of SystemCoreClockUpdate() from system_stm32f0xx.c the variable SystemCoreClock equals to 48000000 and my call to SysTick_Config(SystemCoreClock/1000) gives a wrong systick frequency ( 2 x too slow, the actuel sysclock is 24000000).In the reference manual RM0360 at the figure 11 I see no div /2 between HSI and PLLSRC for my STM32F030xC.But the behaviour seems like in the figure 10, with a /2 ....Where is the mistake ?ThanksPeter

hello! I've tested the TCP echo server and TCP echo client examples of STM32CubeMX individually and they are working fine. now I want to implement an application where I can use both application simultaneously. So I copied the TCP echo client code files into TCP echo server's code but unfortunately my code keep getting stuck in some ethernet configuration part. are they using some kind of semaphore or something?

Hello, I've brought a new stm3220xG eval board for some development purpose. while going through examples code of STM32CubeMX all of them working fine individually but when I'm trying to use some parameter/functions and files into another code those newly added functions and files isn't working at all. In my project I've added "USART3 printf" example's files and all other initialization related functions into "LWIP TCP/IP ECHO SERVER" as I need a debug port. so does anyone has any idea or knowledge about what possibly could goes wrong? either I'm missing something or improper initialization.?Thanking with regardsAatif shaikh

Posted on July 08, 2018 at 12:58I'm trying to debug a project in TrueStudio, but get this error message during flashing:... which is the ''load'' instruction of the startup script.I think the cause of this error is, that the flash size of my program can't be divided by 4 without remainder:Print size information text          data    bss       dec          hex 132474    640    38232    171346    29d52If I modify the project by inserting a while(1) before the use of the library, which makes the flash size not a multiple of 4 bytes, it can be flashed.Console output:Flash write: Address= 0x800d0a8, Length=70 Programming flash.. I'm working on a project that uses the LIS2DH12 accelerometer by ST. I have a couple of questions about it, and as it is quite a common part, I wonder if anyone here knows the answers:I would like to know if it's possible to activate two interrupts, watermark and overflow, in the same pin. I tried to set them up, enabling latching interrupts in INT1 in CTRL_REG5 and setting both watermark and overflow in CTRL_REG3. When I get a watermark register, I read INT1_SRC, but that returns 0 (I would expect it to return 0x80, interrupt active) and it doesn't clear the interrupts. I don't know if the overflow interrupt ever kicks in, as I can't clear the watermark without reading the FIFO (I would expect that by enabling latching interrupts, I could clear the interrupt by reading INT1_SRC, and then leave the samples unread to trigger the overflow interrupt). In case somebody is asking why would I do this, I'm a bit paranoid, and don't want to miss an interrupt and end up losing data. Also, I know

Hi,In STM32CUBEMX software version 4.27.0 , when I generate code for keil, it changes compiler setting from my own -O0 parameter to -O3. If I change back this parameter in keil, in next code generation of stm32cubemx it changes this parameter again. It is very annoying. V4.26.0 is OK.Thanks,

I'm trying to utilize some of the "wavprocess" functions (from demo builder package) in one of my projects, but the memory allocation function always returns NULL. The memory region declared in the external memory space, but I changed it to the internal SRAM because I do not have external memory connected to my STM32F407 board. mem_TypeDef memory_pool __attribute__((at(0x20000000))); I tried it with the CCM enabled/disabled, different sizes of heap, but to no avail. The p_malloc() always returns with NULL. This is the function concerned:/** * @brief This function implement a simple memory management algorithme (First fit). * @param size : Requested memory size. * @retval Pointer to the allocated region. */ void * p_malloc(size_t size) { __IO uint8_t index = 0, counter = 0, start = 0; uint8_t PageCount = 0, NewStart = 0; if (size > 0) { /* look for the first contiguous memory that meet requested size. */ while ( index < (MAX_PAGE_NUMBER + 1)) { if (memory_pool.PageTabl

Hi, I have a board with STM32F501R8T6 and AT24C02 & DS1307 RTC are connected to I2C2. Earlier i had used custom I2C driver and interfaced them with a 8051 controller without any issues. Now since there is a need to change the I/0 pins config in ARM each time for read & write I had to chose the HAL library & use the Pins in I2C AF mode. I use STM32Cubemx for config. To read the DS1307 registers i used HAL_I2C_Mem_Read(&hi2c2,(uint16_t)0xD0<<1,0x0000,I2C_MEMADD_SIZE_8BIT,rxbuffer,3,1000); which returns HAL_OK and returns the value i had written using HAL MEM write command. However the clock never seemed to tick and i had changed RTC & crystal and still no luck. Finally today is when i found out that the data is being written and read from the EEPROM AT24C02 and not the RTC which is why the data is not advancing as it should in an RTC. The address for EEPROM is 0xA0. When I use 0xD0<<1 i noticed that inside HAL library the device address is 0x01A0. Is this

Hi,X-NUCLEO-53L1A1 expansion board uses an IC (ST2329AQTR) to shift the 3.3V I2C bus lines of the MCU to a 2.8V I2C bus for the proximity sensor VL53l1x.Why are there these strange connections between the 3.3V and 2.8V bus as shown on the schematic of the X-NUCLEO-53L1A1 (see attached file) ? Thanks,Jeremie

I am trying to connect to the SPC58EC-DISP board through PLS UDE Starter kit to program and debug the Serial Test Application example provided with the SPC5 Studio IDE. After opening the debug.wsx in the example project file on PLS UDE, an error appears.(Seen in UDE error png and the connection failed report log)I can see the devices connected through device manager as "PLS USB JTAG Adapter for SPC5xxxx A".Please let me know why I can not connect to the boards.

According to RM0433 rev 5 section 10.4.1, the reset values are 0xABFFFFFF for port A, 0xFFFFFEBF for port B, and 0xFFFFFFFF for all the others. This appears to agree with the bits shown in the register table at the end of the chapter. However, in the description at the bottom of 10.4.1 is the text “00: Input mode (reset state)?. So, is the reset state input, or is it analogue, for most pins?

Hello ST team,Do you have any news related to integration of TouchGFX in the current ST portfolio? As a user of STM32F7 Disco we will have to pay for high end graphics?I am interested in this more from hobby/non commercial point of view
