I'm feeling really stupid about this. We were unable to debug in our circuit, so to check, we have a standalone STM32L021D4Px, mounted to a solderless breadboard. 3.3V is connected to Pin 14, ground to pins 9 and 1, NRST to pin 4, SWDIO to pin 13 and SWCLK to pin 14.The debugger does not see the target. The Keil IDE sees the ST-LINK/V2 OK.Clearly I'm missing something. Can anybody tell me what I'm missing?Thanks

I successfully write to FLASH but when I try to read I get 0.First I read some data from keyboard to initialize "inter" variable.Then I store it in FLASH, but I can't read it.Here is what I've added to linker .ld file:/* Specify the memory areas */ MEMORY { RAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 128K FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x8000000, LENGTH = 384K DATA (rw) : ORIGIN = 0x8060000, LENGTH = 128K }   .user_data : { . = ALIGN(4); KEEP(*(.user_data)) . = ALIGN(4); } > DATA .preinit_array : {Obviously I've inserted this in main.c:__attribute__((__section__(".user_data"))) const uint32_t userConfig[32];This is how I'm dealing with writing to FLASH:/* Writing to memory */   HAL_FLASH_Unlock(); __HAL_FLASH_CLEAR_FLAG(FLASH_FLAG_EOP | FLASH_FLAG_OPERR | FLASH_FLAG_WRPERR | FLASH_FLAG_PGAERR | FLASH_FLAG_PGSERR ); FLASH_EraseInitTypeDef EraseInitStruct; EraseInitStruct.TypeErase = FLASH_TYPEERASE_SECTORS; EraseInitStruct.VoltageRange = FLASH_VOLTAGE_RANGE_3; EraseInitSt

I'm having an issue with 'patching' the new to accept longer messages than 64 bytes (USD HID limit). On page 43/44 of the AN3954 application note it describes the method of applying this patch, it also talks about a successful return code of "00 02 03 97", however I only get 0xF7 which doesn't appear in the error code list either.Longer messages still do not work.Any advice would be great.ThanksGeorge

Hi everyone, I'm using a LIS3D in my schematic. Everything works fine. I can read the register "WHO_I_AM" without any problem. BUT : I have a current consumption of 1.2 mA. Can you help me ? I don't understand how is it possible. Here is my schematic : I'm working with an I2C interface. Thanks for your help. Best regards

Hello,I dont find a graphic "consumption versus frequency" to have an idea of the slope.I am looking for different modes like run, sleep, stop and standby.Thanks for help,

Posted on April 11, 2017 at 14:49Hi,I have downloaded STM32Cube_FW_F3_V1.7.0 and I'm trying to build examples using 'System Workbench for STM32'. I have STM32F303 Nucleo 144 Development Board (F303ZE).I'm trying the following example:STM32Cube_FW_F3_V1.7.0\Projects\STM32F303ZE-Nucleo\Examples\UART\UART_Printf\SW4STM32\STM32F303ZE-NucleoI imported the project in System Workbench but the project does not build. It gives error:make all make: *** No rule to make target `all'. Stop.* Are these example projects tested and verified to work with System Workbench?* Is there any known bug with these examples?* How to import the project into System Workbench? May be the way I import is wrong.In my own custom project printf/UART is not working. So I'm trying to get this example to work such that I can use it as a reference.Any inputs might be of help to me.Regards, Pj#uart #stm32cube_fw_f3

Posted on May 04, 2018 at 00:04Hi,   I'm thinking in replace  a STM32F7 with a STM32H7 on two board that has normal CAN-2.0 transceivers. I would like to know if it will work for CAN-FD frames, keeping the baud below 1 Mbps. Ari.

Hi，Masterplatform:stm32f030C8TxI saw the data sheet as described below:My schematic is as follows:These LED lights can be lit at the same time, the program can also run normally, but their current sum has exceeded 3ma. Although it violates the description in the manual, there is nothing wrong with it. Is it okay to use it like this?Forgive my poor English proficiency。Thank you!

Hi there,I am using the STM32F373CC in LQFP48 package on my own application (not a nucleo or discovery board) with all supplies and references connected to 3.3V and decoupled as suggested by ST.The microcontroller is running as expected, I/Os are operating and I can debug my program using ST-LINK-V2/1 from a NUCLEO-L476RG board. So far everythingis well.But when I try to confure SDADC1 using STM32CubeMX-V5.0.0 with firmware package STM32F3-V1.10.0 it never returns from HAL_SDADC_Init().Reason is that STABIP bit in ISR register never gets cleared.I checked all supply and reference pins of the controller with an oscilloscope, no errors detected here. What can be the reasons for STABIP never getting cleared? My clocks are configured to use HSI RC to generate a 40 MHz SYSCLK divide that by 8 to get a SDADC clock of 5 MHz. Did I miss to enable some clocks? But that should be handled by STM32Cube firmare packages, I thought.Any hints or suggestions where to look for a solution would be very

Hello:Using IAR EWARM 7.8 for these tests. IAR provides working HAL examples for the STM32F4 Discovery boards. They have a specific example for both input capture, and PWM capture on the STM32F4 Discovery. Both examples work....both capture a 2KHz square wave in to the pins (PA9,PC7) for each example.Over to the NUCLEO-L476RG. IAR provides an example for that, both timer input capture and PWM capture. Supposed to be ready to go and "tested". Ditto for CubeMX examples, under cube's folder version "STM32Cube_FW_L4_V1.13.0". Neither of those sources work on the Nucleo board...and I have two boards that are new. I put a LED toggle in the interrupt TIMx_IRQHandler. Never lights it. What gives....anyone tried these "tested" examples? Why would HAL work on the old Discovery board, and not on the Nucleo board? Thanks....

I'm embarking on a project with the ST25 NFC chip. ST provides an XCube pack but I can't figure out how to install. MXCube complains that it can't handle the .zip file (en.x-cube-nfc4.zip). Should I have kept my old version of MXCube? I just updated to the latest..

Hi experts,I am using an STM32F429. I set in the option bytes the read protection level to 1 (with the process specified in the reference manual) and it seems that after writing of the new data into the option bytes finished the MCU automatically issues an bus fault (this occurs always). In the documentation it says that a bus fault may occur if, e.g., a debuger is connected and tries to access the protected areas, but this also happens when no debugger is attached. After resetting the MCU manually everything works fine again.Is this the normal behaviour? I coud not find anything in the datasheets/manuals so far. The only hint in this direction is the comment in the documentation of the F4Cube-HAL libs regarding option byte programming, where it states that a reset will occur and there is no code in the lib-functions to trigger this reset. (I am not using the F4Cube-HAL, i have my own).Any insights are welcome.Additions:It seems that writing a new Value thats also a Level 1 and writing

Do we need to install anything on android device in order to support VCP on STM32?For my testing, i am using stm32F0-discovery as my devkitAny assistance will be very much appreciated.#stm32f0

The FAQ states that its not possible for STM32F1 but for newer STM32 families its possible. Please clarify.

Hi,I am working on STM32F042.I have setup the BxCAN peripheral into loop-back silent mode, and it works fine. I can transfer and receive every single frame I am transmitting and no error conditions are detected.However, I have noticed that when I want to transmit a frame, there is a delay of about 37 ms (!) between setting the TXRQ (request to transmit) bit and the call to the CAN interrupt handler once the flag RQCP (transmission completed) is set.Has anyone experienced similar delays? Is this happening only in loopback mode?Thank you,Marco

Hi,In our project we would like to power on H3LIS331DL only once after reset and configure the sensor in lowest power mode when not in use. Issue is that, the data ready interrupt is triggered only for the very first iteration and no more interrupts are generated for the consecutive cycle of operations. On the contrary, if the sensor is switched on and off every time, the device is working fine.Many thanks in advance for your reply.With regards,Shanmathi P

I'm using an STM32F411 chip.and it is trying to use the DMA function of UART2 and I2C3.there are same DMA1 bus line.at that time, Is it available when both functions try to work at the same time? Does Stm32 handle itself? If so, what is the priority?I have implemented the DMA function for UART2. However, I am currently not able to implement I2C DMA function continuously. We have not tested the two for the same time. but, In the end, I have to use those two functions at the same time.my email is royalmdm@naver.com thank you.

During development I've been using ST-LInk to program the STM32L433 which of course works perfectly. I want to release the firmware and allow users to be able to update the code over UART2. I've set BOOT0 and can see the device using the latest version of the STM Flash Loader Demonstrator program (V2.8.0). It reports PID = 435, BID = NA, Version 3.1. The flash mapping panel is completely blank. It says it is read protected although I haven't set any protection.I can use the option to disable read protection and this seems to work - I get the message "Read protection was successfully removed" but if I try to read the chip it again says it is read protected. If I try and erase or write the chip I always get the read-protected message.I'm missing something as usual but what?Help gratefully appreciated

I have a 32F746GDISCOVERY and would like to test the dsp functionalities with a correlation.I have the following code:#include "arm_math.h" extern void arm_correlate_fast_q31(q31_t * pSrcA, uint32_t srcALen, q31_t * pSrcB, uint32_t srcBLen, q31_t * pDst); extern void arm_q31_to_float(q31_t * pSrc, float32_t * pDst, uint32_t blockSize); extern void arm_float_to_q31( float32_t * pSrc, q31_t * pDst, uint32_t blockSize);   q31_t in1[32]; q31_t in2[32]; q31_t out1[64]; float out1_f[64];   for(int i=0; i<32; i++){ in1[i] = 0; in2[i] = 0; } float tempf = 0.00001; for(int i=12; i<20; i++){ arm_float_to_q31( &tempf, &in1[i], 1); arm_float_to_q31( &tempf, &in2[i], 1); } arm_correlate_fast_q31(in1, 32, in2, 32, out1); arm_q31_to_float(out1,out1_f,64);I'm putting in two square wave signals and expecting a triangle signal. I look with the debugger, but out1 has only stored zeroes. What am I doing wrong? Do I still have to initialize the DSP core?

Using SPC560B-DIS Eval board, and tried UART serial example with LED, COM Port is not detecting on the Computer.Flashed the firmware using UDE through USB , LED start blinking but Virtual Com Port is not detected for UART communication.

I have two ST25R3911B-DISCO boards and while recently trying to communicate over I2C - after alot of troubleshooting I discovered that the labels on P203 for SCL and SDA are incorrect and have been switched.The schematic is correct - I traced the pins through to P203 - it appears only the silkscreen is incorrect.On the back of the card, I have MB1325 C-01 217410690The Q/A sticker shows a line on T1, T2, T3, T4 but interestingly, not "QA"Let me know if I can provide additional information about these boards.

Hi there. I'm having a lot of trouble.I've managed to get UART (just direct calls, not interrupt based), PWM, and ADC working on a Nucleo board (namely, the STM32F070RB board). However, I'm having serious trouble getting a simple push-button to fire an interrupt.I'm using the on-board user button, tied to C13. I know this works and is not a hardware/solder bridge problem, because I've probed the exposed pin and it certainly changes between 3.3V/0V when released/pressed.I watched this tutorial video and it seemed simple enough (like most things, thanks to STM32Cube): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtkszckecV8Sadly, I've had no luck. Here's a look at some of my code.gpio.c generated from STM32Cube:Callback function, as shown in the video, present in main.c:Using the boolean the interrupt *should* set. The CommandLine() function is not blocking (even if it was, it shouldn't matter anyway, if this is an interrupt) and the PrintLn function I have made works perfectly fine (just based on no

Hello,I implemented a simple function generator as part of a project with a NUCLEO-L496ZG-P board.A cosine signal is generated using TIM2 (internal clock, no prescaler, period set by ARR value) -> DMA (with 256 point cosine table in memory) -> DAC (triggered by TIM2 update), which works properly.Now I'd like to add a TTL-style trigger signal phase locked with the cosine signal on an additional output.I tried using another TIMer (I tried different ones, but let's just use TIM3 for this example now) in slave mode (ext. clock mode 1, Trigger Src. ITR1, PWM mode (tried different channels)) with an ARR value of 255 and CCRx of 128. This should give me the desired 50% duty cycle trigger signal I'd like to have. Instead the pulse length is always exactly ONE TIM3 clock duration (derived from TIM2 update), as if CCRx was fixed to 1. If I change CCRx to one of the limits (0,ARR), the pulse vanishes as expected, but any value in between gives the same pulse length. Changes to ARR yield the
