I am trying to run a boundary scan test on a custom board with a STM32L4R5ZIT6, My boundary scan tool of choice has highlighted some inconsistencies with the pins. When I set certain pins the wrong pins get set.I checked the resources section on your website and I notice that the version of theTM32L4R5/4S5/4R7/4S7/4R9/4S9 BSDL File is set as 2.0 with a date of Jul 06, 2018 but when I click on the link and open it the readme is still v1.0 and all the file headers are dated V1.0 29th August 2017. Is there an updated version available?

Dear all, I am working on a prototype with anti-tilting and park-brake functions that need to be complied with ISO26262. So far the ASIL is not determined yet, I want to start development and testing the firmware in a complete toolkit. However I am not sure which MCU to choose. For example, the SPC56 L line and SPC58 C line both provide ASIL and safety applications, and evaluation toolkit, though mentioned that SPC58 C key functions are securing on-board communication protocol.I have the same difficulty in selecting from other A/B/2B/G/P/etc.And how about the generic control STM32 MCU's, if I only want the mentioned two functions, it seems the STM32 MCU is qualified as well, is it correct? Thanks in advance for explaining with details.

We want to evaluate the STUSB4500 and mounted this device on our demo board. Now we need to setup the device. We found a description for each setup but we do not find any information about the register how to address them. We need more information about the register order for the I2C bus and which setup we can do in each register. Background:In our application STP08DP05XTTR is supposed to drive six LEDs with 20mA constant current each using an external, 1 k-Ohm output current programming resistor connected to the R-EXT pin (pin 15). The LED supply voltage is 5Vdc.Question: Does the return current for the LEDs to GND go through this external resistor? The datasheet and AP3981 do not say anything about the power rating requirement of this external resistor. Please advise.NOTE: This question and answer originated from a customer support case which was handled by us. We regularly review support cases and add any helpful ones here for all to benefit from.

I am using touchGFX to develop a screen. Now there is a problem .When I add a ClickListener and ClickAction Callback to a box, a click on the box will be identified as a click. But if I want to use a gesture on the box , I found it will be identified as a click too. It is not what I want. I found a article in TouchGFX Knowledge base , but I was told I'm not authorized to access this page. Can anyone help me solve this problem? Or can anyone access this page? The address is https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/205983261Thanks a lot!

For projects with a small display, I would like to control display using external navigation buttons or an encoder. Is it possible to connect the encoder and move the focus between the buttons an then click on it?

Hello!I'm testing the communications between SPI1 and SPI3 in STM32F103RC.SPI1 and SPI3 are using interrupts, dma is off.When I try to read received bytes I found that rdata[6] = 0 and rdata[7] = 0, but must be 0x7 and 0x8 respectively.When I use DMA on both sides everything is OK.And when I use transmit function in blocking mode(i.e HAL_SPI_Transmit()) everything is OK.Speed_medium means prescaller_16.HSE = 8MHzRCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLMUL = RCC_PLL_MUL9;RCC_ClkInitStruct.APB1CLKDivider = RCC_HCLK_DIV2;RCC_ClkInitStruct.APB2CLKDivider = RCC_HCLK_DIV1;spi_mode0 is CPOL=0, CPHA =0;nss controlled by hardware.uint8_t tdata[8] = {0x1, 0x2, 0x3, 0x4, 0x5, 0x6, 0x7, 0x8};uint8_t rdata[8] = {0x0, 0x0, 0x0, 0x0, 0x0, 0x0, 0x0, 0x0 };er = initSPI(SPI3, type_master, spi_mode0, speed_medium, dma_disable, NULL, tcv, size_8bit, dir_RXTX, firstbit_LSB, crc_disable);   TEST_ASSERT_MESSAGE(HAL_OK == er, "SPI3 Init failed");er = initSPI(SPI1, type_slave, spi_mode0, speed_medium, dma_disa

Hello everyone,I am currently developing a code for my custom board that has BLE communication along with RTC and timer(PWM) initialized. I am currently testing my code first on the PNucleoWB55 development board. The issue is that the normal RTC_Alarm Example from the SDK is working fine and alarm interrupt occurs exactly after 30 seconds. However, when I initialize the RTC in BLE_p2pServer, the RTC interrupt occurs much quicker (approx 5 seconds when programmed to occur after 30 seconds). What could be the issue? If someone can help me, I shall be grateful.

Does anyone have experience with getting the timer to run with input capture, I am unable to make the input capture function.I have a working system with STM32F03 (M0) devices initialization generated by CubeMX. Now I am testing an identical system with STM32G07 instead also initialization from CubeMX.Same setup of timers but I am unable to make input capture work.I am using TIM15 and PA2 input. What I need is the timer to interrupt on both edges when input changes and I want to read out the time between edges. (Again functionallity was fine in STM32F03).I configure counter mode as UP.Prescale 10 and no internal clock divisionRepetiotion counter is 0 and auto reload is disabled.Polarity selection as both edges.IC selection directNo input filter (0)To me it seems that the timer is not running, I can see from registers that edge signal is triggered and also I get an interrupt. But the timer value is always 0. htim15.Instance = TIM15; htim15.Init.Prescaler = 10; htim15.Init.

Hello, our product need a camera, and we found that STM32F207VC could meet our demands. But I'm not sure if the MCU support JPEG compress on chip-side. Thanks in advance!

What exactly is the difference between Nucleo boards Nucleo-F303RE, Nucleo-F411RE and Nucleo-F446RE? To me, the data brief seems to suggest that they are the same. Can someone point out the difference? Is it okay if I buy any of these according to the availability? Have attached the Date brief for reference.

Hi All; I am use I-CUBE-LRWAN version 1.2.1. I am program in class C mode. I send a message downlink from network server and I checked that the data was actually sent out. Why I can't received a message downlink immediately. Could you please advice me? Thank you,Best regards.

I downloaded the X-NUCLEO-IHM01A1 from the st website and loaded an example project in stm32cubeIDE, however I keep on getting the library inclusion error.

I am trying to import a project from mbed into STM32CubeIDE.1. I initially exported the project from mbed and selected Sw4STM32 as the toolchain.2. I then imported the project in STM32CubeIDE.3. When i have the project imported the issue that occurs is that two of the libraries have an inclusion error. link to the project I am trying to import:https://os.mbed.com/teams/ST/code/HelloWorld_IHM01A1_mbedOS/exportBoard: NUCLEO - F446REToolchain: Sw4STM32I was wondering how to go about resolving this issue ?

As per table 69 under section 5.3.22 of datasheet STM32F405XX/407XX (DocID022152 Rev 8), the parameters of “Average slope? (Avg_Slope) and “Voltage at 25°C? are specified to be 2.5mV/°C and 0.76V, respectively. Does it imply the sensitivity to be 400°C/V and hence the full 12-bit conversion range from -279°C (0X000) to 1041°C (0X3FF)?When referring to the Reference manual RM0090 (DocID078909 Rev 11) section 13.10, the Main Features of that temperature sensor are twofold: supported temperature range from -40°C to 125°C and precision ±1.5°C.As such, should the 12-bit ADC always be bounded within the range of 0X2E5 (741 in decimal) to 0X4E5 (1253 in decimal)? Nevertheless, I found that my STM32F407ZG always outputs below 0X2C4 at room temperature. May anyone validate the “Average slope? (Avg_Slope) to be 2.5mV/°C? It seems more reasonable if that parameter would be 25mV/°C.

I am trying to use the built in boot-loader on my STM32F767. I wrote a simple app on my PC and I can get sensible answers from GET, GET VERSION, GET ID commands. But when I try to do a GO or a READ, the address (I have tries 0x00200000, 0x08000000 and 0 addresses) is rejected with a NAK.Note that the READ or GO command itself is not rejected so it is not due to RDP or anything like that.Any ideas why would be greatly appreciated. So I got the STM Flash Loader Demo app to try that and it doesn't recognize my device. If I try again I get a no response message unless I reset my board.Any help on this would also be greatly appreciated.

I'm using the stm32f103 and I'm trying to send a text stored in SRAM via DMA to the USART 2 peripheral. My assumption is I'll turn on the usart2 TX dma ( DMAT )request whenever I need it and turn it off after the current transmission completes, (i.e In the DMA1_Channel7_IRQHandler). That is to say when I call the serialPrint function(DEFINED IN MY CODE) USART2 DMAT is turned ON and the DMA1 will serve it. But nothing seems working. The DMA1_Channel7_IRQHandler is not serviced after all.I spent a lot of time in this problem but I couldn't get it working. Somebody help, thanks. Below is my code..../* I'll use DMA to move data from memory to the usart2 peripheral.*/#include "stm32f10x.h"         // Device header#include <string.h>void clockConfig(void);void usart2Init(void);void DMA1channel7Init(void);void serialPrint(char* data, uint16_t bufLen);uint8_t sendBuf[64];int main(void){ clockConfig(); usart2Init(); DMA1channel7Init(); ser

Hi, We have an reference board for STM32MP157A-DK1 and in the board there is no Bluetooth module and Display in built. So is there any possibility to purchase the Bluetooth and Display modules and interface to the existing reference board.RegardsSrikanth.

Posted on December 17, 2017 at 20:58Hello,i am trying to send data from the adc over the usb otg fs as virtual com port to my pc where i receive the data with a terminal program(HTerm).Using the ADC in 8bit Mode works perfectly. Is not clear how to change the linker file *.ld.I found the linker setting in SPC56ELxx Platform Component RLA but I don't know how to proceed. Is there a manual for all the linker option?if I understood well, I have to place all the option/command in the custom sections? Is it right?

Hi. I have an STM32MPU157-DK2 Board in Engeneering mode.i have power connected and the USB to the debug chip.The Connection is successfully established.I use a Terminal Programm to send and receive in hexadecimal numbers.My Connectiondetails are 57600 Baud, 8N1I send the first command 0x7F to establish a communication. it works.all following commands are by hand so there is a little time between the commands.I shorten the following communication a little bit,me is my terminal & me,bl is the bootloaderMe> 0x7FBL> 0x79Me> 0x00 0xFFBL> 0x79 0x07 0x40 0x00 0x01 0x02 0x03 0x11 0x21 0x31 0x79Me> 0x01 0xFEBL> 0x79 0x10 0x00 0x00 0x79Me> 0x02 0xFDBL> 0x79 0x01 0x05 0x00 0x79Me> 0x11 0xEE ( Read Memory)BL> 0x79Me> 0x10 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x10 (From 0x10000000,, SRAM1)BL> 0x79Me> 0x00 0xFF (1 Byte)BL> 0x790xE0 0xE0 0xE0 0x00 0xE0 0xE0 0xE0 0x00 (...)the output doesnt make much sense to me.I tried several lengths (1 byte, 33 Bytes, 256 bytes)and everytime

Actually In our Company the Controller is using STM32L452RCT6 Before Getting A sample Design Board. I need to test with any Eval Board of STM32L4 Series. I Need Evaluation Kit for this controller STM32L4RCT6 Is there any alternate Eval Board available. Hope I am looking forward for your reply.

The user manual (UM1924) says in section 15 RSA Algorithm:There are two structures that pass keys to the functions:•RSAprivKey_stt for the private key•RSApubKey_stt for the public keyAll members of the above functions should be filled by the user before calls to the RSA functions. So I need the keys before using the library. In the STM32_Cryptographic_example, in the RSA subfolder there's an example code that already comes with a pre-generated array for modulus, public and private exponents, message and signature, but how do you generate those arrays? How do you generate the keys?I know that modulus n=p*q and private exponent d=(e^-1)mod(Phi)... and all that, but I would think those formulas come already in the libraries and if not, how should one generate large p's and q's then?
