Hy,I need to design a power consumption optimized (battery based) system using the VL53L0x / VL53L1. I cannot find the current consumption vs voltage in the datasheets. I can either use battery voltage directly (3.6V) or use a high efficiency DCDC (i.e. TI TPS62730) and generate 1.9V.What current do I expect for HW standby and Active ranging at 3.6V and 1.9V?RegardsHarald

Hello!Can anybody explain to me why the following code is not writing to the TIM2 and TIM3 CR1 register:int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */   /* USER CODE END 1 */   /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/   /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init();   /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */   /* USER CODE END Init */   /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config();   /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */   /* timers will only generate an UI when the counter wraps around */ TIM2->CR1 |= TIM_CR1_URS; TIM3->CR1 |= TIM_CR1_URS;   /* USER CODE END SysInit */   /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_DMA_Init(); MX_ADC1_Init(); MX_OPAMP1_Init(); MX_OPAMP2_Init(); MX_TIM2_Init(); MX_TIM15_Init(); MX_USB_DEVICE_Init(); MX_TIM3_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */but when I move the register writes after the periph

Hi All,I'v been working on a project wherein I use some portion of the flash to store certain data. Initially, after the manufacturing and assembly procedure, I don't usually get any issues at all, but after several months, the board starting to give random issues whenever I try to write any data into the flash memory. When I run the code into the debug mode, I noticed, the moment my code execute the "FLASH->CR|= CR_STRT_Set" in the "FLASH_ErasePage" function, complete sector of 1KB gets corrupted.On the other hand, I'm able to modify the same location (which were giving issues) via ST-link.I would also like to know, what is the maximum limit (Number of write cycles) of internal flash write?

Hello,I'm using the Pins PC0, PD11 and PD12 in my application as external interrupts with rising edge. To handle the interrupt, I'm using the functions EXTI0_IRQHandler() for PC0 and EXTI15_10_IRQHandler() for PD11 and PD12. In both functions is the same content (because the user can select one of the pins as interrupt source, but they should all do the same stuff). To clean the correct panding bits in the EXTI15_10_IRQHandler() handler, I added the following lines at the beginning: if((EXTI->PR & GPIO_PIN_12) != 0) EXTI->PR |= GPIO_PIN_12; else if((EXTI->PR & GPIO_PIN_11) != 0) EXTI->PR |= GPIO_PIN_11;After this check, some lines are followed. When I'm using PD12 my application works fine. But with PD11 it don't. The interrupt is not executed.I'm husing CubeMX and HAL to configure my GPIOs and both, PD11 and PD12 has the absolutely same configuration. I'm using a STM32F407 100-Pin microcontroller. Does anyone have an idea, where my mistake could be? Thank you

I want to keep track of application so keeping backup in SD CARD with text file.

// Here is my code for when the enter button is clicked: void MainScreenView::EnterButtonClickedFunction() {   Unicode::UnicodeChar STRING = keyboard.getBuffer();   updateWildcard(STRING); targetVacValvePercent.resizeToCurrentText(); targetVacValvePercent.invalidate(); // Close Modal Window targetPercentModalWindow.setVisible(false); targetPercentModalWindow.invalidate(); keyboard.setVisible(false); keyboard.invalidate(); enterValueButton.setVisible(false); closeModalWindowButton.setVisible(false);     }   // Here is my update Wildcard text:   void MainScreenView::updateWildcard(uint16_t text) {   Unicode::snprintf(targetVacValvePercentBuffer, 5, "%d", text); targetVacValvePercent.invalidate(); }

is global interrupt is always enable during startup, is that right ?, if yes, where can i find it? InHAL_Init();orstartup_stm32g474retx.s

Adding the following includes in Model.cpp prevents the touchgfx simulator from successfully compiling:#include <gui/model/Model.hpp> #include <gui/model/ModelListener.hpp>   extern "C" { #include "main.h" #include "FreeRTOS.h" #include "queue.h" #include "task.h" }I tried adding to the makefile include path as follows, but I think I'm going down a rabbit hole.#keep framework include and source out of this $(build_root_path)../Core/Inc include_paths := $(library_includes) $(foreach comp, $(all_components), $(comp)/include) $(framework_includes) \ C:/Users/webst/STM32CubeIDE/workspace_1.0.1/stm32F769I_disco_cubeide/Core/Inc \ C:/Users/webst/STM32CubeIDE/workspace_1.0.1/stm32F769I_disco_cubeide/Drivers/STM32F7xx_HAL_Driver/Inc \ C:/Users/webst/STM32CubeIDE/workspace_1.0.1/stm32F769I_disco_cubeide/Drivers/CMSIS/Device/ST/STM32F7xx/Include source_paths = $(foreach comp, $(all_components), $(comp)/src) $(framework_source) simulatorThe simulator errors: Compile &nb

Hello,i build the code of "STM32F4DIS-BB Software Examples 20130307: STM32F4xx_Camera_Example" but it can't create the .axf file. who had an idea?Thanks.

Hi,I want to use output compare4 mode for timer 4. I have doubt regarding the registersetting in TIM4->CCMR2 valueAs per the reference manual it is given Bits 14:12 OC4M: Output compare 4 mode andBit 11 OC4PE: Output compare 4 preload enableI have to set this bits. TIM4->CCMR2 = 0x6800; //0b 0110 1000 0000 0000 IM4->CCMR2 = 0x7800; Which one is correct?Is this value correct? 0b 0110 1000 0000 0000 and in the reference manual there is no description for the 12, 13 and 14 bits. If it is there, how to set them?

i use the lis2dh12 accelerometer and lis3mdl magnetometer for making tilt compensated compass. i read datasheet and application but i have below list of confusionq 1] which type of data of accelerometer is used for calulate roll and pitch either raw data or converted G data? q 1.1] which equation is used to convert raw accelerometer data to G value ? with example value. q 2] which data i need to put inside accelerometer  3 x 3 misalignment matrix ? this question is related to accelerometer calibration. q 2.1] is it raw data or converted g data?q 3] explain misalignment matrix (between magnetic field and sensor frame axes) of magnetometer ? this question is related to magnetometer calibration.?q 4] once the program is done is the tilt and direction with degree is that affected by different place like india to america?

Dear members,This is actually a follow up question to my last one STM32G071 UCPD library bug or my problem, but instead of digging deeper and deeper to an already well answered question, and probably out of topic too, I guess I better start a new one.In 4.3.4 figure 30, when SRC generates a hard reset, why is this the same as figure 32, Fail to reach vSafe0V during hard reset sequence in SRC? I suppose the final state when SRC generates a hard reset should be returning to Vsafe5V and resend capabilities?This is the old question not yet answered, I just move it here, both NOTIFY_POWER_STATE_CHANGE and USBPD_PE_RequestSetupNewPower should have been called after PE_SRC_TRANSITION_SUPPLY as shown in Fig. 25 , but in my case nothing is happened, so what am I missing here?Again another moved unanswered question, when my board as a source generates a hard reset , no USBPD_HR_STATUS_START_REQ callback is received after PE_SRC_HARD_RESET_TIMEOUT as shown in fig 30.

Hello everybody,I think I have stumbled accross a configuration and initialization error when using STM32CubeIDE and the CubeMX peripheral initialization:I am using a NUCLEO-L476RG board and want to use TIM2 to trigger TIM3 as a slave and start both timers simultaniously. As for TIM2 I use the following settings:for TIM3 the following:I also have acitvated the global interrupt on both timers since I want to use TIM3 to trigger the ADC and convert samples as long as TIM3 runs. TIM2 is the period at which I will send the avareged ADC samples to an external host.So I normaly thouight that the code generator would uses the HAL_TIM_SlaveConfigSynchro_IT(&htim3, &sSlaveConfig)function. But instead I get the following initialization which I then manually change in the interrupt driven slave configuration function:void MX_TIM3_Init(void) { TIM_ClockConfigTypeDef sClockSourceConfig = {0}; TIM_SlaveConfigTypeDef sSlaveConfig = {0}; TIM_MasterConfigTypeDef sMasterConfig = {0};

Hi,I have implemented a USB-C PD source using STM32CubeMX and the USBPD middleware. When looking at the trace from TRACER_EMB, I can see that the SRC_CAPABILITIES are sent multiple times:When analyzing it with the STM32G071B-Disco as sink, the SRC_CAPABILITIES are shown only once:What could be the reason for this behavior?Thanks!

Hello,There is a Nucleo expansion board for current measurement. https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/x-nucleo-lpm01a.htmlI am curious when it can be useful and more convenient rather than standard measurement tools , like DVM or a sampling device?Also I see there is an option to transmit the measurements over USB. Is there an ST tool to collect the samples and graphically present them?Thanks!

I have connected Two cameras ( RGB camera and Lepton Camera) in STM32H743 board i would like to read the camera output. But the cameras are not getting proper voltage . so the initialization process is getting failed . kindly give me the solution..Hello People, I am using STM32H743 Nucleo board and iam connecting two cameras in it. One is RGB camera and another one is Lepton camera . I am using DCMI for RGB and SPI for Lepton camera . I would like to read both the cameras . I am using STLink V2 Programmer to program the board and i have also done High speed USB interface. so iam using ST link programmer and a USB for the power. i have configured the pins correctly . I have set the firmware also perfectly . when i build the code or debug it i am not getting any errors . but i cant able to read the cameras it is showing like initialization process failed for of both the cameras . So when i checked the voltages of the camera board it is not getting enough power supply

While I'm modifying the code of OpenAMP Echo, I found that VIRT_UART_Transmit() fails until host Linux sends any message (like $ echo "A" > /dev/ttyRPMSG0).After Linux send a message everything works as expected.After digging into it a little bit, I found that OPENAMP_send() returns RPMSG_ERR_ADDR, because huart->ept.dest_addr is set to RPMSG_ADDR_ANY when initialized in OPENAMP_create_endpoint().When the first message received ept->dest_addr is corrected and VIRT_UART_Transmit() starts working fine: https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeMP1/blob/3739122ec3281ffe18356774ffc06a7fbcf6df98/Middlewares/Third_Party/OpenAMP/open-amp/lib/rpmsg/rpmsg_virtio.c#L423I'm not sure if OpenAMP is designed like that, or a bug though. Does anyone know about this issue? If it is expected, I would like to know a proper way to send data from M4 first.

Posted on February 22, 2018 at 21:09I have just installed the new STM32CubeProgrammer for Linux but it won't run. I see the error 'Error: Could not find or load main class com.st.app.Main'. Anyone else come across this problem that has a fix?I went with all the defaults except I changed the install path from '/home/david/STMicroelectronics/STM32Cube/STM32CubeProgrammer' to '/home/david/bin/STMicroelectronics/STM32Cube/STM32CubeProgrammer'.  I did not notice an option for a shared install, or else I would have chosen that.

Hello, I have setup the CAN bus to transmit and has been working fine. I now need a feature which requires the ExtID but this isn't getting transmitted. I have debugged both and can see that the ExtId is getting transmitted but not received, I'm wondering if this is to do with my filter (but i think that I've set it to allow everything - unless I've misunderstood) I have used the STM example code as a base.Any help would be appreciated, Kind Regards,Mike/*** Transmit Parameters***// buttonPressedHeader.IDE = CAN_ID_STD; buttonPressedHeader.StdId = 0xC8; buttonPressedHeader.ExtId = 0x01; buttonPressedHeader.RTR = CAN_RTR_DATA; buttonPressedHeader.DLC = 2; buttonPressedHeader.TransmitGlobalTime= DISABLE;     /*** Filter Parameters***// sFilterConfig.FilterBank = 0; sFilterConfig.FilterMode = CAN_FILTERMODE_IDMASK; sFilterConfig.FilterScale = CAN_FILTERSCALE_32BIT; sFilterConfig.FilterIdHigh = 0x0000; sFilterConfig.FilterIdLow = 0x0000; sFilterConfig.FilterMaskIdH

Hello,I am trying to drive a piezo with complementary output from a timer. I am using TIM8_CH2 and TIM8_CH2 as control logic for my piezo command. I expect it to be complementary to increase volume of the piezo. TIM8 is configured as slave of TIM2 that generate the "melody".I check the hardware output, but the thing is that I only have one of the two GPIO with a working PWM. The other one remains at '0'.Is that possible to have complementary output on the same channel on the TIM8 (PJ6 and PJ7) on the STM32h750XB I am using ?Both GPIO are configure as Alternate function AF3_TIM8, in Push-pull.Here is the configuration code I am using :static void BSP_Horn_Init_Timer(void) { /* Timer Output Compare Configuration Structure declaration */ TIM_OC_InitTypeDef sConfig;   /* Master and slave configurations */ TIM_SlaveConfigTypeDef sSlaveConfig; TIM_MasterConfigTypeDef sMasterConfig;   uint32_t uhPrescalerValueWav;   // Configure the WAV_TIMx 4MHz timer base WAV_TIMx_CLK

I remember seeing a flowchart showing the order in which interfaces are checked for activity during programming when the BOOT pin is pulled, but I have been through the datasheet, programming manual and Google and can't find it now. Can anybody point me to where it is please ?Many thanks
