Solved

Thanks to this forum, I have a USB Virtual Serial Port implemented. It is working however, the Windows Device Manager lists it as "USB Serial Device (COM10)". The manufacturer is listed as Microsoft. The code has "STM32 Virtual ComPort" as the product string and "STMicroelectronics" as the manufacturer. I've ensured the USBD_FS_ProductStrDescriptor method gets called to set the product string but yet Windows doesn't show the right information. Is there a logical reason for this? I need to be able to identify the device which I can do by the VID and PID but I'd rather have my programmed information in the name of the device.

I'm trying to create a USB / Ethernet testing device. I need to use the USB portion to program an IP address. The mouse example works but I cannot detect it or connect to it. The virtual serial port example also works but a driver needs to be installed in order for me to communicate back and forth (not an option in production). Is there a USB device example that is detectable in windows and doesn't need a special driver to connect to it? Thanks in advance for your consideration.

Hi, in all the example code I've found related to using FreeRTOS and LwIP and performing Ethernet related tasks the MPU is always used to protect the Ethernet DMA. Why is this the case and what could go wrong if the MPU is not used? Thanks,Doug

Hi everyone,I have a problem with the ST-Link V2-1 that are embedded on the nucleo boards. I use the ST-Link utility CLI as an external tool in Atollic TrueStudio to program my nucleo boards. However after the programming operation finishes, the CLI cannot reset the MCU. I tried from the command line and the result is the same.I connect under reset (with hardware reset) to the MCU. The connection to the MCU happens all the time, no problem programming at all. The cli version is 3.5.0.0. I believe I did not have this problem with the previous version of the utility...Has anybody experienced this behaviour ? Did anybody has a fix for it ?Also this problem does not exist with the ST-Link V2 programming pod.Best regards.

I tried to implement a view (box+grid+graph) in vs. The grid consists of many lines and the graph is inherited by CanvasWidget.1. Create canvasBuffer[CANVAS_BUFFER_SIZE] in main. cpp;Graph alone is ok.CanvasWidgetRenderer: : setupBuffer (canvasBuffer CANVAS_BUFFER_SIZE);CanvasWidgetRenderer: : setWriteMemoryUsageReport (true);2. Changing the canvasBuffer[CANVAS_BUFFER_SIZE] in the main. cpp into the private of view. hpp cannot successfully implement graph.3. Grid cannot be realized. But I can display the grid separately on the target board. How do I implement this view using CWR. Thank you very much!:face_with_tears_of_joy:

Hello everyone, I am doing EEPROM EMULATION On STM32F103RB Series which has 128kb flash. I am able to erase and write the contents into flash. But when my code size exceeds 64KB, the content is not being written properly into the flash. Can anyone tell me why such happens and what is the solution so as to solve the issue???

according to me it should not lead to reset as in FCCU CFS config register it not configured to perform reset reaction for this critical fault.

I'm trying to use the LL interface to read 2 ADC channels (0 & 1) using DMA. They're configured pretty much as default, 12-bit samples into 16-bit memory variables. I don't see any errors. The transfer completes, as does the EOS. There's data in the DR. However only a single byte makes it into memory. (There should be 4 bytes.)Any thoughts on where the misconfiguration might be?adc.c generated codevoid MX_ADC1_Init(void) { LL_ADC_REG_InitTypeDef ADC_REG_InitStruct = {0}; LL_ADC_InitTypeDef ADC_InitStruct = {0};   LL_GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct = {0};   /* Peripheral clock enable */ LL_APB2_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_APB2_GRP1_PERIPH_ADC); LL_IOP_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_IOP_GRP1_PERIPH_GPIOA); /**ADC1 GPIO Configuration PA0 ------> ADC1_IN0 PA1 ------> ADC1_IN1 */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = TUBE_I_Pin; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = LL_GPIO_MODE_ANALOG; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = LL_GPIO_PULL_NO; LL_GPIO_Init(TUBE_I_GPIO_Port, &GPIO_InitStruct);   GPIO_InitStruc

Hi All,We are implementing secondary bootloader and want to know what are the changes need to make in the linker files. what is the file and how to configure it for bootloader and application. Please let me know how I can do it.please provide any example code for bootloader. Thanks,Basava

Hi Can anyone supply the BSDL file for the SPC58NE84E7 chip, thanks.

Hi Can anyone help in supplying the programming algorithm or programming specification for the SPC58 series chips.I want to program these on an In-Circuit tester without adding a special programmer.

I am using Init package component (in which irq, osal, etc. components are present). When I use just timer interrupt, it gets successfully run. however, when I am trying to add UART peripheral inside the code, it gets stuck at _IVOR1. What can be the reason of this behaviour? Also, inside OSAL component, Timer 0 is configured, can anyone please elaborate the use of Timer 0 over there?

Hi,For an engineering project I've got a S2-LP and would like to use it in combination with a loop antenna. The S2-LP has a RXp and RXn output. Usually a balon is used to go from balanced to unbalanced output (50 ohm). In this case a BALF-SPI2-01D3. I would like to connect my loop antenna directly to the RXp and RXn output. What is the impedance of the RXp and RXn output?A loop antenna is required as a normal antenna is detuned very easily. The modules are potted, underwater in close proximity to steel. I'm stuck with the S2-LP chip and 868MHz. This is far from ideal but cannot be changed. Thanks in advance,

HI, All.I would like use speaker output in STM32MP157C-EV1. I revised the wiki but there aren't references about how play audio with speaker output. Is it enable speaker output to this board? Is it possible enable this output to play audio?Regards!Alex.

I am currently bringing up a board with an STM32F412ZG.We are using the I2C2 peripheral on PF0 and PF1 and not having much luck.We can drive I2C1 and I2C3 without issue, but when trying to use I2C2 the busy flag remains asserted - even after forcing resets. A search turned up an older errata on the F103 with a similar fingerprint: https://electronics.stackexchange.com/questions/272427/stm32-busy-flag-is-set-after-i2c-initializationIs I2C2 known to work? Is there an example demonstrating it's usage? My next step is to try running the mitigation from the linked issue.

I am getting a compiler error when casting from a const uint8_t* to a uint8_t* in the simulator but the compiler and debugger in STM32CubeIDE (1.1.0) is allowing this cast.Is there a way to modify this compiler setting in the TouchGFX Simulator? Also, any unused variables throw an error instead of a warning in the Simulator. Is there a way to disable this?

Hi,I want to do a scrolling text. I think, I can use "scrollable container". But how can I scroll automatically don't know.  Is there any example about this type of usage for scrollable container?

Hi to all.I should make an application with NFC where the entire circuit is powered by energy harvesting. For this reason I thought of using the ST25DV and I have already purchased the ST25DV_Discovery_C1 and ST25DV_Discovery_C6On these discovery I closed ST3 to connect 3.3V with EH, I connected the pins of GND and 3.3V of connector J1 to an oscilloscope to monitor the voltage supplied, and then I approached the cell phone to the discovery with the active NFC (and with the application of the open ST).I have set (as from the manual) the EH_MODE register to 0 and therefore I have once again allonato and reapproached the mobile. What I expected to find from the oscilloscope is a continuous voltage whereas what I find is a signal varying between approximately + 500mV and about -500mV, except for an initial transnitory in which the voltage rises up to about 30V but is extinguished in about 50ms.Furthermore this behavior occurs both with EH_MODE at 0 and with EH_MODE at 1, except for the initi

I am trying to read VBAT value through channel ADC1_IN18.VBAT should be between 2.3 and 3.3V.VREF+ pin is connected to VDDA=1.8V.Values measured using ADC are linearly related to the real VBAT value, but I have not been able to get the exact value. For example:Real 2.8V : ADC=3583 (=4724mV)Real 2.9V : ADC=3711 (=4893mV)Real 3.0V : ADC=3839 (=5062mV)Moreover, the 12-bit values are supposed to be [0-4095]. But the resolution I get when VBAT is slightly varying is not 1, ie the value read for the range [2.96 3.0]V is constant 3839, and the value read for the range [3.0 3.04] is constant 3903. I cannot explain this. Here is the code :#define VDD_APPLI ((float) 1800.0) /* Value of analog voltage (unit: mV) */ #define RANGE_12BITS ((float) 4095.0) /* Max value with a full range of 12 bits */ #define COMPUTATION_DIGITAL_12BITS_TO_VOLTAGE(ADC_DATA) \ ( ((ADC_DATA) * VDD_APPLI) / RANGE_12BITS) #define COMPENSATE_VBAT_DIVIDER ((float)3.0) /* the converted digital value is on third of the VBA
