Hi! i am using STM32F401CCU6 for BLDC/FOC motor control application. For foc application requirements, i need sampling 3 phase current in inject mode, vbus and motor temperature in regular mode. However, there is only 1 adc available for sampling. i tried lots of way to config my cubemx to get it work but i only did successed sampling in inject mode(regular mode not funtional). did i missed something or they just can't work together on the same adc?Best wishes!Harry.PS: after i generated code, i did add HAL_ADC_Start_DMA() and HAL_ADCEx_InjectedStart_IT() in main() function. But only inject mode is avaliable for me.

hello,I am trying to get the LSMDSO32 to work with https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STMems_Linux_IIO_drivers branch 4.19 built on 5.4 kernel.I am able to build the kernel image on 5.4But when i try to insmod the modules i get the following errors.Any one came across this or know what is the issue?# insmod st_lsm6dso32.ko                            [ 3073.698696] st_lsm6dso32: Unknown symbol devm_iio_kfifo_allocate (err -2)[ 3073.706025] st_lsm6dso32: Unknown symbol devm_iio_triggered_buffer_setup (err -2)insmod: failed to load st_lsm6dso32.ko: No such file or directory# insmod st_lsm6dso32_i2c.ko                          [ 3079.860966] st_lsm6dso32_i2c: Unknown symbol st_lsm6dso32_probe (err -2)[ 3079.868030] st_lsm

Hello,I jsut heard a roumor that the STM32F103 was issued end of life. Is this true or is it false info because there is a current shortage in the wafers? Does anyone have reliable information? Thanks!

Hi,We are running a vibration analysis system based on the LSM6DS3. This is FIFO based, and everything works as expected. Application is accel only. However when enabling the high pass filter from the digital composite filter, all readings out of the FIFO are 0. Data is still provided at expected intervals. Clearly the data has values ABOVE filter.Should enabling the filtering not be as simple as writing the correct value to register CTRL8_XL?something like (0x17, 0b00100100). We tried configuring before starting accel (0x10) and / or fifo (0x0A). Same result. Many thanks for any input.brChristophe

I need a good STM32WL module. Can anyone advise me to choosing this?

How to use the hardware CORDIC of STM32G4 to solve the natural logarithm? Are there any examples?

The STM32 dev board I'm working with is the Nucleo H745ZI-Q.This one has two cores, a M7 and a M4.Now when I try to load code onto it, it runs fine the first time I run the debugger.I noticed that when I reconnect the board, the second core doesn't boot up. I've to manually boot the second core to get it to work. This is unusable for me and probably isn't the way to go. The default CubeMX sketch gives me hardfault errors so that's not an option.I tried adding this to the M7 code:HAL_RCCEx_EnableBootCore(RCC_BOOT_C2);But it didn't solve the issue.I just want the M4 core to boot up after the M7 does. Nothing fancy, I just need to get it to work as simple as possible.Could anyone help me?

Hi,I'm using CR95HF transceiver board for FTM communication with ST25DV64K tag. I've set up python script with ctypes module to use CR95HF.dll.Everything works fine until I try to write and read longer messages in mailbox. For some strange reason, if i write msg of 105 bytes of data, mailbox length returns correct message length, but if I try to read the same data i get only 126 characters (63 bytes).I've checked, by reading mailbox in parts, that first 126 characters are valid, but rest of it contains random characters.I'm working with CR95HF.dll rev. 1.2 and MCU FW 3.7.1, so according to datasheets it should easily cover messages up to 256 bytes of data.Do You have any idea what can be a root cause here?I've already tried:using SendRecv (0x04) and STCmd (0x01) commandschanging modulation in protocol settingsrunning commands in "extended messages" mode (0x02A8)changing buffer size in ctypes's create_string_bufferchanging WriteMessage (0xAA) to FastWriteMessage(0xCA) - got errors on fr

Hello  i am a newbie in Freertos. i have a practice project about two threads. one thread for data acquisition from AD7606 , another thread for data transmission by uart in LabVIEW . Unfortunately, when i display data in LabVIEW which get from thread 2 , i found it will lose data or sampling rate is not consistent . How can i slove this problem?  Up to now , i don't know whether the solution is timer interrupt in freertos or not .Please give me the hint or some tutorial i could reference.  Please advise as necessary. Thank you very much.void StartDefaultTask(void const * argument) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 5 */ /* Infinite loop */ for(;;) { xSemaphoreTake(DeliverHandle,portMAX_DELAY); // START read AD7607 Read_AI(); float value = (float)aio_data.c2_values_in[0]; // END read AD7607 // Send data in MyQueue xQueueSendToBack(MyQueue, (void*)&value, (TickType_t)1); xSemaphoreGive(DeliverHandle); o

Hello,Actually, I'm trying to make an SPI communication between SPC574S-DISP and L9960S-EVAL.I already configured all things i can for the communication and it works, but sometimes there is an error in the RX Buffer.I think that the craddle of this issue is the synchronisation between SDO and SCLK like the picture below: I want that the SDO wait the middle of the high state of the SCLK to change his proper state. How can I do that on SPC5 STUDIO ? Can I find this property on Low Level Driver Coponent ?Thank you for your time and your answer,Bastien

Hi!I purchased X-NUCLEO-53L1A2 and tried to check the function. However it was impossible to connect VL53L1 breakout board through left and right connectors.Because there were not left and right connectors. I attached the picture. But about X-NUCLEO-53L1A1, there are left and right connectors.I'm wondering why there are not those connectors on X-NUCLEO-53L1A2.I would ask a ST market person. Thanks in advance

Hi, I am facing up Error: Data mismatch found at address error. I have tried to decrease the frequency, also make a modification to the linker script. Also, I used OCD. But, no success. Hi,I am programming a STM32H7B3I-DK Disco board and am trying to profile the functions.I have a freeRTOS task used as an I2C DMA driver handler. The code is:/* Main i2c Handler Task */ static void i2c_1_HandlerTsk(void *argument) { osSemaphoreAcquire(sampleTimerSemHandle, 0);   /* Initialise the VCNL40x0 Prox Device*/ initProxProbe();   /* Start the sample clock */ HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT(&htim5);   /* Main sample loop driven by Timer 5 Interrupt */ while(1) { if (osSemaphoreAcquire(sampleTimerSemHandle, SAMPLE_TIME_SEM_TIMEOUT / portTICK_PERIOD_MS) == osErrorTimeout) { /* TODO */ } /* Get the proximiter 16 bit value from the device */ ReadProxiOnDemand(&proxValue) ;   /* Remove dc value and low pass filter the data */ LowPassFilt_U.ProxSig = proxValue; LowPassFilt_step();   /* Apply Auto gain control and detect signal */ Detector_U.DetIp = LowPassFilt_U.ProxSig; Detector_step();   if (prox.HoldOffTime == 0x00U)

Hi, I've recently retired from being an electronics design engineer for over 40 years. I wanted to have some fun playing around with micros to do some basic control. I have both the Nucleo-F030R8 and STM32F4 Discovery evaluation boards and have been teaching myself on STM32CubeIDE. I am at the stage of writing some basic code and running it on the F0 board, The ST videos have been very helpful. What I'm trying to do is to create a timebase to drive a unipolar stepper motor driver board clock (I have lots of hardware already). I am currently using one of the timers in PWM mode to do this with pulse set to zero (my clock to the driver board is edge triggered and the driver board takes care of the motor phase outputs). The reason for this request is I'm trying to create a simple acceleration profile. So far I have a clock output which I've been able to change period on a cycle by cycle basis within the main code using the period end interrupt to set a flag which is detected and the ARR re

Dear experts,i try to use the float library with printf or vsnprintf. The option nano has been checked, the -u _printf_float too. The latest version of STM32cubeIDE, the proc is STM32F446RE. The value of floats are correctly displayed in debug but in release, it displays a wrong value. The value are mean and median computed values. I suppose there is a problem with a library in release. I really thank you for your help.Regards, pap

Hi.According to the DS of the LPS33W - the Reflow profile should be according to JEDEC J-STD-020 , with no actual determination of the profile.we had several boards assembled , and with very little force applied, the sensor disintegrated - the metal part from the plastic socket.I suspect it might be the reflow profile that weaken the glue and caused this disintegration. Is there a recommended profile for the LPS33W?We have used before that the STEVAL-MKI205V1 - which is the LPS33W EVB ,And had no such issue. The pic below is of an actual reflow performed on the boards.Thanks.

Hi all, I just thought I'd add to the list of questions about USB! :grinning_face_with_sweat:I read AN4879 and it says "when the host presence is detected by the device, the device connects its pull up resistor". This is very clear - first detect the host, second activate the pull-up. What actually happens in the Cube generated code though is that the USB device is initialised at boot and the embedded pull-up is immediately activated, whether a cable is attached or not. This is triggered by a chain of function calls:MX_USB_DEVICE_Init() -> USBD_Start() -> USBD_LL_Start() -> HAL_PCD_Start() -> USB_DevConnect() -> USBx->BCDR |= (uint16_t)USB_BCDR_DPPU;This code is Cube generated so if I remove the call to USB_Start() it will just get added back in next time I make a change.Should I call USBD_Stop() straight after the USBD_Start() or is there a different way to go about this? Then use my vbus detect pin to call USBD_Start() when the cable is plugged in. A second and

The documentation for STM32WB55 Nucleo states that a 5.2 stack is available ("comes with") but the BT stack provided in STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.11.0 is a 5.0 stack...Regards,AC

I've got something really screwy going on with the LSM6DSOX chip. I've got it hooked up in simple form using 4 wire SPI mode 0 and 3. I can talk to the chip just fine. Read and write no problem. The first problem is that I want to do a SW reset. Setting the SW_RESET bit in CTRL3 easy enough but the part a) never resets as far as I can tell and b) never clears that bit, ever. Until I write that as 0.The second problem is that I can't get the part to actually start taking accelerometer samples. Because I can't get the part to reset to factory via SW reset, I just wrote factory defaults to all the registers and set it that way. From there I used the following simplistic approach from an ST App Note: Write INT1_CTRL = 01h// Acc data-ready interrupt on INT1Write CTRL1_XL = 60h// Acc = 417 Hz (High-Performance mode)I never see any bits set in STATUS_REG from this or an INT1 signal of any kindWhat can I possibly be doing wrong here? I've tried much more complex stuff than this configuring the

The vertical Line seems to go away when I put a my finger on the LTDC CLK pin. I adjusted the clock frequency to above the minimum (12.5MHz) required for the display, and it still appears. I then added a 40k pulldown resistor to the LTDC CLK pin, and it went away, but I don't see any information anywhwere regarding the addition of the pulldown is an ok solution. I have read another post about the exact same issue, but the issue was closed out with no solution. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am working with lsm6dso sensor for a watch. At the beginning, I am using the follwoing function to get steps in the register. It works in a while loop and can work rightly. int32_t lsm6dso_number_of_steps_get(stmdev_ctx_t *ctx, uint8_t *buff) { int32_t ret;   ret = lsm6dso_mem_bank_set(ctx, LSM6DSO_EMBEDDED_FUNC_BANK); if (ret == 0) { ret = lsm6dso_read_reg(ctx, LSM6DSO_STEP_COUNTER_L, buff, 2); } if (ret == 0) { ret = lsm6dso_mem_bank_set(ctx, LSM6DSO_USER_BANK); } return ret; }Then I want to put this function in another thread. But it seems to work right. It works for a while at first, but after running for some time, the number of steps will automatically reset to zero. I want to know under what condition will the sensor reset. Does the multithread affect its function?

Hi,I have a circuit board that uses STM32F401CEU6, and now I decided to replace it with STM32L433CCT6.I want to know the transplantation method from using STM32F401CEU6 to using STM32L433CCT6 in the program.Regards,Zhao
