I have a STM32F446 core and the Peripheral clock is 45 MHz. I am looking at the RM0390 Rev 6 Section 30.7.7 Bit TimingI am looking at the documentation Figure 395. Page 1063/1347I want a bit rate of 1 million bits per second (Mbps)In my calculation using the definitions in Figure 395, BRP = 14, TS1 = TS2 = 0 gives me exactly 1 Mbps. But the Configuration Tool says the prescaler should be 16 (BRP = 15) which gives a Time Quantum of 355.555555555554 and with Time Quanta in Bit Segment 1 = 1 Time (TS1 = 0)and Time Quanta in bit Segment 2 = 1 Time (TS2 = 0) The time for 1 bit is 1066.66 ns and the Baud Rate is 937500 bit/sWhen I try to change the Prescaler (for Time quantum from 16 to 15 (BRP from 15 to 14) The Time Quantum is 333.3333333333...the time for 1 bit is 999.99 ns (there is a truncation as opposed to rounding) and the Baud Rate is 1,000,000 bit/sAm I getting hit with a floating point rounding error? And it thinks it is more than 1000000 bit/s as opposed to exactly 1000000 bit/s?

Hi,I'm using STM32F767.I require the use of a 128 bit floating point in C and I couldn't find how to do so.I did a research online and I saw one suggestion to use the datatype "__float128"but the build failed due to "unknown datatype __float128"I am using a C11 compiler.I'd love to hear any suggestions, or if there is an option in the STMCUBEIDE to change the compiler as well.Appreciate any help I can get :grinning_face:Thanks,M

Hello,I want to use the automation features of the UDE MemTools with a SPC5-UDESTK programmer, as it is said in this article, but it seams that there is a licence missmatch. Is there a specific license to have in order to use it?Thank you by advance.

I have RS-485 transceiver connected to USART1 (PA9 + PA10) and relay connected to PB4. If MCU have erased FLASH or RST-pin connected to GND all incoming data to pin PA10 (Rx) for RS-485 line translated to pin PB4 in inversion (0 on PA10 => 1 on PB4, and 1 on PA10 => 0 on PB4). Why PB4 set as output and how it connected to USART1 Rx? And why is the output level inverted relative to the input?)

Where can I find the STM32F746G-DISCO schematic?Andrzej

Hello, I use STM32F407 and I wanna config virtual com port on my board using CubeMX,but I always get error 43, I saw many topics, my stack size is 0x4000 and heap size is 0x2000.I tried to change max packet size, reinstall stm32 vcp drivers, but nothing changesI use cube 5.3.0, and FW package F4 V1.24.1.And I think the problem is in Cube, because I made the same project like a half year ago and it works now on the same board.Do you have the same problem? Thank you,Anton

Here is the code; /* USER CODE BEGIN WHILE */ while (1) {  /* USER CODE END WHILE */  /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */  HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOB, GPIO_PIN_0); // For F767ZI_Nucleo  if (HAL_GPIO_ReadPin(GPIOC,GPIO_PIN_13) == 1)   {   HAL_Delay(3000);   }  else   HAL_Delay(1000); } /* USER CODE END 3 */

Hello, I am trying to set the UART5 TX with the DMA. I am using Cube, and in the GUI I selected UART5 to asynchronous, and added DMA for UART5_TX. Then, in the generated code, I added this part as I didn't see initialization for the DMA (inside the MX_DMA_Init()): /* Peripheral DMA init*/ hdma_uart5_tx.Instance = DMA1_Stream0; //hdma_uart5_tx.Init.Channel = DMA_CHANNEL_4; hdma_uart5_tx.Init.Direction = DMA_MEMORY_TO_PERIPH; hdma_uart5_tx.Init.PeriphInc = DMA_PINC_DISABLE; hdma_uart5_tx.Init.MemInc = DMA_MINC_ENABLE; hdma_uart5_tx.Init.PeriphDataAlignment = DMA_MDATAALIGN_BYTE; hdma_uart5_tx.Init.MemDataAlignment = DMA_MDATAALIGN_BYTE; hdma_uart5_tx.Init.Mode = DMA_NORMAL; hdma_uart5_tx.Init.Priority = DMA_PRIORITY_MEDIUM; hdma_uart5_tx.Init.FIFOMode = DMA_FIFOMODE_DISABLE; HAL_DMA_Init(&hdma_uart5_tx);   __HAL_LINKDMA(&huart5,hdmatx,hdma_uart5_tx);The Main function, I didn't do much except I added this code in the while(1):while (1) { /* USER CODE END WHILE

Hi All,I have a ST link V2 and STM32L562CET6 boards. I tried all possible solution available online but still cant connect to MCU. STlink has the latest firmware. My board is good because i can program it using segger programmerwiring between stlink and kit is good because stlink can detect the MCUi am using these connections 1.VDD-3.3V2.SWDIO3.SWCLK4.GND5.NRSTtried on 3 new units and none of them will connect.  Boot 0 is pulled low. any help will be appreciated.Thanks

I used STMCubeIDE to generate the following code...It is for Timer16 to count up and generate an interrupt after 100ms. Can someone tell me why the code did not set up __HAL_RCC_TIMx_CLK_ENABLE()?When I use the IDE to generate GPIO stuff it automatically adds the RCC Enable bit into the INIT functionThanksSteve

I've had some success getting UARTs to work on a Nucleo 413ZH board but am struggling to get the same code working on a Nucleo H7A3ZI-Q board. I have a logic analyzer connected to the TX and RX pins on the Nucleo boards. The HAL_UART_Transmit line (line 72) works fine and I can see the whole txBuffer on the logic analyzer. But the HAL_UART_Transmit_IT line (line 73) only transmits the first 2 characters of the txBuffer according to what I see on my logic analyzer.I'm sure I don't have something in one of the interrupt routines configured correctly but I sure can't figure it out and would appreciate any help.Thanks#include <stm32h7xx_hal.h> #include <stm32_hal_legacy.h>   #ifdef __cplusplus extern "C" #endif void SysTick_Handler(void) { HAL_IncTick(); HAL_SYSTICK_IRQHandler(); }   static UART_HandleTypeDef s_UARTHandle = UART_HandleTypeDef();   extern "C" void USART2_IRQHandler() { HAL_UART_IRQHandler(&s_UARTHandle); }   void HAL_UART_TxCpltCallbac

Hello,We have been using STCubeMx(v6.2.1) to generate our system initialization code. We started a new project for an stm32H7A3xx MCU.But with the auto-generated code, it fails on the HAL_RCC_ClockConfig->HAL_InitTick->HAL_SYSTICK_Config.We tried different clock configurations (lower freq., different prescalers) but it resulted in the same fault.Any idea where the problem is?Thanks in advance,Adria TerradesAuto-generated SystemClock_Config:void SystemClock_Config(void) { RCC_OscInitTypeDef RCC_OscInitStruct = {0}; RCC_ClkInitTypeDef RCC_ClkInitStruct = {0};   /** Supply configuration update enable */ HAL_PWREx_ConfigSupply(PWR_LDO_SUPPLY); /** Configure the main internal regulator output voltage */ __HAL_PWR_VOLTAGESCALING_CONFIG(PWR_REGULATOR_VOLTAGE_SCALE0);   while(!__HAL_PWR_GET_FLAG(PWR_FLAG_VOSRDY)) {} /** Configure LSE Drive Capability */ HAL_PWR_EnableBkUpAccess(); __HAL_RCC_LSEDRIVE_CONFIG(RCC_LSEDRIVE_LOW); /** Initializes the RCC Oscillators acc

Hello! I need to send/receive a 16 bits data to an external ADC, but I realized that SPI HAL functions just support 8 bits buffers. How can I send more than 8 bits? Even DMA function all work with 8 bits. In CubeMX I set the word length as 16.

Hi,I am a bit confused on the lora STM32WL sequence protocol system, I want my device to sleep and wakeup according to the periodic values I want. I have made my own sleep function (stop 2 mode & radio sleep) with wake up triggered using RTC (in seconds) and push button. Where can I put my function (PLB_SleepMode) into the sequencer utility lora end node STM32WL ?Thank youHere my code for custom sleep and wake up system:void HAL_RTCEx_WakeUpTimerEventCallback(RTC_HandleTypeDef *RtcHandle) { //Clear wake up flag __HAL_PWR_CLEAR_FLAG( PWR_FLAG_WU ); }   void PLB_RtcWakeUpTimeSetting( RTC_HandleTypeDef *RtcHandle, unsigned int seconds ) { //Set wake up time /* Disable all used wakeup source */ HAL_RTCEx_DeactivateWakeUpTimer( RtcHandle ); __HAL_RCC_WAKEUPSTOP_CLK_CONFIG( RCC_STOP_WAKEUPCLOCK_MSI ); HAL_RTCEx_SetWakeUpTimer_IT( RtcHandle, seconds - 1, RTC_WAKEUPCLOCK_CK_SPRE_16BITS ); }   RTC_HandleTypeDef *PLB_RtcPowerSavingConfig( void ) { //Set RTC Clock, Timer

Hello,I'm working on a project, wherein I've interfaced my STM32L433 controller with a Flash-IC (Nor flash) on the SPI port. At present, there is continuously bulk reading and writing operation is going on. Due to random power-cut, some of the flash sectors gets corrupted. When the device tries to rewriting something on those corrupted sectors, a hard fault gets generated. And my device gets rebooted because of the watchdog (this creates an infinite loop). Now, I just wanted to clear the generated hard fault interrupt and skip the processing of that particular corrupted sector.

I know that STM32L071C8 supports dual bank.I wonder if it is possible to update the firmware using dual bank.For example, in the 1-bank program, the LED toggles once per second. Is it possible to write a new firmware binary (toggle led once every 2 seconds) to 2-bank while the 1-bank program is running? Of course, when new firmware is being written to 2-bank, 1-bank program must be running without stopping.

Hi everyone,I found this board in the internet and the seller said that this is a new revision of the STM32F4DISCOVERY board. Is it true or not ? Thank you all.

I created a project using CUBEIDE for STM32MP157C-DK2 and set all peripherals to initialize. I enabled FreeRTOS and then started porting over the example code in in the Projects folder for the OpenAMP_FreeRTOS_echo application. It is all compiling OK but the code is not executing correctly. Comparing the application example code to the CUBEIDE project I find that the code to init the IPCC and OpenAMP in the example is : /* Configure the system clock */ if (IS_ENGINEERING_BOOT_MODE()) {   /* Configure the system clock */   SystemClock_Config(); } /* IPCC initialisation */ MX_IPCC_Init(); /* OpenAmp initialisation ---------------------------------*/ MX_OPENAMP_Init(RPMSG_REMOTE, NULL);But the CUBEIDE generated code looks like this: if(IS_ENGINEERING_BOOT_MODE()) {   /* Configure the peripherals common clocks */   PeriphCommonClock_Config(); } else {  &nbs

I just want some clarification of the data output of the different modes.For example, it states in the data sheet that low power mode has an 8 bit data output. I assume that this means registers LIS2DH_OUT_X_L and LIS2DH_OUT_X_H are 8 bits each, and I can read the raw accelerometer data into a 2 byte integer. Given that the high resolution mode has a 12 bit data output, it would mean that I need 3 bytes to get all the data. It would also mean that I need to read from another register (besides low and high registers), which I don't see specified. Therefore, I believe my thought process is wrong. Can someone explain how to use high resolution mode? Thanks.Isaac

Board : STM32F469II created a project via cubemx. how to use QSPI memory for structure variables. I am struggled for this issue.ThanksD. Manikandan
