I didn't see PA11 and PA12 in this kit

After reading the section about Flash in RM0433 I am till a bit in doubt of the sequence of events during flash programming.This is important because I need to know that certain write operations are complete (such that the update is reflected even if the device is reset or power is lost at that point) before starting other write operations.According to my understanding, I start by setting the PG flag in the FLASH_CR of the bank that is to be programmed, then I write 32 bytes starting at a 32-byte-aligned address.After this, the QW flag should go high and when it goes low, I can start another write operation (Question 1: does this mean the physical write has begun or that it is complete?). Question 2: What role does the BSY flag have (is it obsolete or does it mean that physical write is ongoing or ...)?Question 3: If I enabled interrupts, "End of programming" will be invoked at some time, but when (when QW goes low or when the physical operation is complete or ...)?

Hi,I have a very simple (read: stupid) question in regards to the LIS2DW12 asix alignment (sign).I have implemented my own driver, but it is heavily based on this code: https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STMems_Standard_C_drivers/blob/master/lis2dtw12_STdC/examples/lis2dtw12_read_data_polling.c I basically does something like this:data->x = static_cast<int16_t>(read_reg(REG_OUT_X_L)); data->x |= (static_cast<int16_t>(read_reg(REG_OUT_X_H)) << 8); data->y = static_cast<int16_t>(read_reg(REG_OUT_Y_L)); data->y |= (static_cast<int16_t>(read_reg(REG_OUT_Y_H)) << 8); data->z = static_cast<int16_t>(read_reg(REG_OUT_Z_L)); data->z |= (static_cast<int16_t>(read_reg(REG_OUT_Z_H)) << 8);When I read the x, y and z data I get the following output in the terminal:measurement: x = -116, y = -744, z = 17068 measurement: x = -180, y = -812, z = 17156 measurement: x = -252, y = -712, z = 16800 measurement: x = -204, y = -864, z

Hello,we had trouble with a batch of STM32F103CBT7 processors. I have read a lot about counterfeit CPU's. I had the Error 18 in CubeIDE and 5 out of 1000 IC's did not work as our stock ones (STM32F103CBT6). The UID of one of the chips is UID0= 0x00470010; UID1=0x39000001; UID2=0x4E504332. Can any one identifie accordingly if this is genuine?Is there anything known about issues or counterfeits of this type? I also contacted the support but have not gotten any answer yet. It is slowly getting ergent as our productin is running dry. I would like to be 100% sure.Thank you

Hello,I am working on a SBSFU for a H753ZI board. To help me with this, I am using the example projects provided with the SBSFU package and the MOOC.I was able to successfully download the SBSFU on the board and make the example UserApp run on it. I now want to do the same with my own app instead of UserApp.For this, I adapted the postbuild.sh script to correctly encrypt and sign my image such that it is successfully accepted by the SBSFU when making a firmware update. I replaced the original ld file and the system_stm32h7xx.c file of my custom app with the ones of the example UserApp. After that, I checked that my application still worked in standalone encrypted it and signed it. The image is successfully accepted by the SBSFU and executed. However, instead of behaving as expected, the LED1 on the board blinks at relatively high frequency.The only reason I could find for this behavior is that the SBSFU is supposed to make the LED1 blink at 4Hz if there is an error in the option bytes

Hello ST Teams!I'd like to know if someone have ever tried to get 1920*1080*30fps with the configuration above (STM32MP157C-EV1 and MB1379 board). We'd like to achieve this performance, OV5640 datasheet camera says "ok for me"v4l2 listing capabilities says "ok for me" :               Size: Discrete 1920x1080                       Interval: Discrete 0.067s (15.000 fps)                       Interval: Discrete 0.033s (30.000 fps)But if we try with dev board (OSD32BRK) and flying wires with camera(OV5640), fps is limited to 13fps.My question is: Is it possible to achieve 30fps in this configuration?we will reproduce schematics of (STM32MP157C-EV1 and MB1379 board) camera part(dcmi + ext cl

So let say I have two custom containers : container1 and container2. I want to setup a trigger from container1 and setup the associated handler in container2. How can I do this? I don't want to route the communication via Screen class, instead I want it directly from container1 to container2 and vice versa. Can we achieve this in TouchGFX?

Hi,  I am using demo board "NUCLEO-WL55JC1" to run SubGHz_Phy_PingPong example.  if I did not change anything, I can see the message, the default usart RX and TX is PA3 and PA2.123s023:Rx start125s023:OnRxTimeout125s025:Master Tx start125s216:OnTxDone125s219:Rx start127s219:OnRxTimeout127s221:Master Tx start127s413:OnTxDone127s416:Rx start129s416:OnRxTimeout129s417:Master Tx start now I want to configurate PB7 and PB6 to see the message, how do I  do ? Could you give me some advice , please?

Hello ST community!I'm using a stm32F417VGT6 to perform an IAP in Keil IDE.in the bootloader, using the binary file on a SD card, I read executed binary program and write it on flash memory. then i use Jump_To_Application() to start the new app. Everything works just fine and we've got no problems.this process is all OK with 4KB and 25KB binary files. BUT when i try to load Heavier binary files like 112KB or 500KB, the MCU resets and no jumping happens. after this reset we start from begining of bootloader.I've double checked the MCU flash with ST-LINK Utility and my binary file has been written correctly on the correct address.and sadly, there's no way to debug because the MCU is not on the bootloader code anymore. as you may have noticed, this is suspicious. as far as i know jumping to a new program has nothing to do with size of that program. and here's the set of codes i use to perform the jump:             &nbsp

Hi All,As is the topic. Maybe someone else is stuck with the same problem?I wasted the last few days trying to find why my code is giving wrong (to low) temperature readings but it looks like a device limitation. I try to isolate the test case but in the meantime maybe someone else can confirm or point me to some information why sampling the internal temperature sensor with short time gives incorrect values.To low I mean values below zero ...Regards,Pawel

Hi, I am using STM32F407 for my PMSM vector control project. And i need to determine the current position of motor for vector control. So I use TIM3 Encoder MODE (x4) and ı have 360 PPR (pulse per revolution) encoder. I set the ARR value 1439 (4*360-1). Encoder Mode : TI1 and TI2. Input filter 15 for both input. I didnt change anything but these. Finally i read the Tim3 CNT register value every 100us. (Encoder_val = htim3.instance->CNT). For example I determine a position on encoder and watch the Encoder_val variable in debug mode. Suppose the value is 50. Then I turn the encoder one revolution and in the same position new Encoder_val value is 47. It is missing every single turn for both direction (2 or 3 count). Has anyone encountered this problem before? What am I doing wrong? will be happy if you help. Thank you.

I am using CubeMX v6.2.1, when I attempt to install the L4 MCU package v1.10.0, I get an "HTTP Access Forbidden" error. I am seeing the same error on Windows and Linux.I can download v1.9.0 and v1.11.0, and v1.17.0 without issue. The error only seems to happen with v1.10.0.I am attempting to update a project from v1.8.0, however, the CAN API changed in v1.11.0, so wanted to upgrade to v1.10.0 as the most recent update prior to the CAN API change.As far as I can tell, the error is on the ST web server, when I look at a network capture, I see the following HTTP request:GET /packs/resource/firmware/stm32cube_fw_l4_v1100.zip HTTP/1.1and the following response from the server:HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden (text/html)Any chance this can be corrected so I can get the v1.10 package?Cheers,Martin Z.

I would like to be able to update the OSPI GUI assets independently from the application firmware since the GUI assets may not always be updated and can be up to 64 MB compared to the application flash size of 2 MB.Question: Does TouchGFX create a version or timestamp in the generated GUI source files that I can use for firmware update version comparisons?My goal is to be able to compare the version of the GUI assets in the OSPI flash to the version stored on a server, and update only if needed. However, I don't see if or where TouchGFX tags the generated GUI code with any version or date information.Thanks,Derek

I am trying to measure the frequency of a square wave using TIM1 in direct input capture mode (STM32F3-DISCOVERY) . I can measure the frequency successfully , but i want to add an input prescaler, no matter what the value of prescalar i set i get the same value on my capture/compare register (CCR1).My code for TIM1:void TIM1_IC_INIT(void) { RCC->AHBENR |= RCC_AHBENR_GPIOAEN; //ENABLE GPIOA CLOCK RCC->APB2ENR |= RCC_APB2ENR_TIM1EN; //ENABLE TIMER CLOCK RCC->CFGR3 |= RCC_CFGR3_TIM1SW; //SELECT CLOCK SOURCE PLLCLK*2 GPIOA->MODER |= GPIO_MODER_MODER8_1; //SET GPIO TO ALETERNATE FUNCTION GPIOA->AFR[1] |= 6 << GPIO_AFRH_AFRH0_Pos; //AF6 FOR PA8 , TIM1_CH1   TIM1->SMCR |= 5 << TIM_SMCR_TS_Pos | TIM_SMCR_SMS_2; //RESET MODE   TIM1->CCMR1 |= 1 << TIM_CCMR1_CC1S_Pos; //CONFIGURE CH1 AS INPUT TIM1->CCER &= ~(TIM_CCER_CC1P | TIM_CCER_CC1NP); //RISING EDGE POLARITY TIM1->CCMR1 |= 3 << TIM_CCMR1_IC1PSC_Pos; //SET A PRESCA

I know 0402 parts are better for an RF design for various reasons. How much of a performance loss would result in using 0603 parts instead with the ST25R3916?

Hi,I wanted to ask if there is a possibility to have the same time domain on the M4 and A7 cores?To be a bit more specific: my STM32MP1 board synchronises time over Ethernet using PTP (and that works great!) but now i want to timestamp a digital input pin.The options i have seen so far are:using EXTINT to assign a system timestamp when the interrupt occurs (on the A7) -- this is not accurate because of kernel interrupt handling and software timestampingusing TIMx and input capture mechanisms (on the M4) -- this would be my preferred way but there i have no information at which time TIMx value is and how to synchronise them with the A7one idea i had was using the PTP_Synchro PPS_OUT [which i still couldn't activate in Cube although i enabled TIM2 as slave with ETR] and correlate input capture values from CC2 with the PPS. but there only the duration from the last PPS to the current input capture is known -- then my idea was to use the RTC values to associate whole seconds but the RTC is

1. When I create an openamp-based virtual_huart0 on the M4 side for exchanging information，some code is as follows：if (VIRT_UART_Init(&huart1) != VIRT_UART_OK) { printf("VIRT_UART_Init UART1 failed.\r\n"); Error_Handler(); }   VIRT_UART_StatusTypeDef VIRT_UART_Init(VIRT_UART_HandleTypeDef *huart) {   int status;   /* Create a endpoint for rmpsg communication */   status = OPENAMP_create_endpoint(&huart->ept, RPMSG_SERVICE_NAME, RPMSG_ADDR_ANY, VIRT_UART_read_cb, NULL);   if(status < 0) { return VIRT_UART_ERROR; }   return VIRT_UART_OK; }and this will create the /dev/ttyrpmsg0 device on the Linux side.To exchange data, I directly use OpenAMP library functions to create nodes,and In Linux, the driver rpmsg client sample will be loaded.some code as follow:#define RPMSG_SERVICE_NAME "rpmsg-client-sample"   OPENAMP_create_endpoint(&remsgr_ept,RPMSG_SERVICE_NAME,RPMSG_ADDR_ANY,rx_callback,NULL);Now the pro

I am using TIM1 in the STM32WB55. I used CubeIDE and HAL to set everything up. Based on a button push I would like to update the counter period to a value in an array. I prefer not to htim1.Init.Period = period[flag]; HAL_TIM_Base_Init(&htim1);as it seems silly to go through all the macros to re-init just for a register. Can someone tell me what is the syntax to just update the register itself? ThanksSteve

For some reason in the dialog box that appears when pressing control+H I cannot enter (or copy paste) search strings anymore than contain spaces, or ', or ", etc...[azAZ09:\] still work (and probably a few others, i did not test them allIs there some kind of option I somehow enabled to limit my search input chars (and why would anyone add such an option??) or am I running into some weird frustrating bug ?

Hi!I have made a large research about USB PCD device and I want to send data from my STM32 and recieve data to my STM32. I have found PCD Firmware driver API description here at heading 31.2.Here are these functions. I assume that I first need to call the function HAL_PCD_DevConnect at startup when my STM32 want to connect to my computer.But what type of functions should I use then? What address should I use? I know that there a lot of parameter how to use USB CDC with STM32F3, but I'm using STM32F3 with USB PDC. It's a different API. void STM32_PLC_USB_Connect(PCD_HandleTypeDef *hpcd) { HAL_PCD_DevConnect(hpcd); }   void STM32_PLC_USB_Disconnect(PCD_HandleTypeDef *hpcd) { HAL_PCD_DevDisconnect(hpcd); }   void STM32_PLC_USB_Set_Address(PCD_HandleTypeDef *hpcd, uint8_t address) { HAL_PCD_SetAddress(hpcd, address); }   uint32_t STM32_PLC_USB_GetRxCount(PCD_HandleTypeDef *hpcd, uint8_t ep_addr){ return HAL_PCD_EP_GetRxCount(hpcd, ep_addr); }   void STM32_PLC_USB_Tr

I trying to find a solution as to why the Z-axis on the accelerometer is not responding. It is "stuck" at 0x80 for both high and low value. X- and Y-axis both work as they should. I can disable the Z-axis and it goes to 0x0. I set block update, the 3 axis, 100Hz ODR and 2G. I have tried reading the output from Z individually and in block update, it is always 0x80. All the registers/features I do not use are at default values. I even swapped the device with a new one... still no change. I do not know what else I can try :tired_face:

I am using an STM32L452 Nucleo-64 dev kit. I am trying to use the bootloader to update firmware on it. My understanding is that you can set flash option bits in order to enter system memory (bootloader mode) on reset, and this does seem to work. I am able to successfully flash the MCU via the STM32CubeProgrammer interface. But when I try to use the command line version of the Cube Programmer, sometimes the download command is not executed and I get a NACK response, and sometimes I do see the progress bar reach 100%, but the MCU stays in bootloader mode. If I reset the board using the reset switch on it, it will just revert to the previous program instead of the one that was supposed to be flashed (it is not being fleshed properly). When I use the Cube Programmer UI, I can see that the firmware is successfully updated. I need to use the CLI version for our product though. I am flashing the MCU over UART1, and this works in the UI version. I am wondering if this problem has to do with th

Hi.i am using LMS6DSR ,and use ODR is 208Hz,but,i found that i can't get 208 samples at 1 secend.and,i had confirmed that it only about 203 Hz from Interrupt signal.so,i want to know is that normal? i can't find information about error of ODR in datasheet.
