How to remember in STM32F746G-Disco uint32_t? Save after power off and recall when power is restored?Andrzej

According to the data sheet, the calibrated values for specific chip (at 30°C and 130°C) are at the following addresses:#define TEMP30_CAL_ADDR (*((uint16_t*)0x1FFF75A8)) #define TEMP130_CAL_ADDR (*((uint16_t*)0x1FFF75CA))Therefore the calculation should be : fCalTemperature_DegreeCelsius = (((130.0f - 30.0f) / (TEMP130_CAL_ADDR - TEMP30_CAL_ADDR)) * (ADC_TempReading - TEMP30_CAL_ADDR)) + 30.0f;The problem is that in memory the values don't seem to be correct:I'd appreciate any help.Thanks,Mechi

I am new to embedded C, and I recently watched some videos about volatile qualifier. They all mention about the same things. The scenarios for the use of a volatile qualifier :1. when reading or writing a variable in ISR (interrupt service routine)2. RTOS application or multi thread (which is not my case)3. memory mapped IO (which is also not my case)My question is that my code does not stuck in the `whiletest();`function below when my UART receives data and then triggers the `void HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart)` interrupt function ```int test;int main(void){ test = 0; MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_USART1_UART_Init(); HAL_UART_Receive_IT(&huart1, (uint8_t *)&ch, 1); while (1)  {               Delay(500);                         &nbsp

I have one more confusion regarding BLE connection. For the case in low power mode,If device is already paired and connection is established, do we need to continuously advertise packets at regular intervals for connection to keep intact and to provide BLE service? The purpose of this question is to know if I can completely put the device into sleep for few minutes (let's say 15 mins) without sending advertising packets ?

I just installed en.stm32cubeprg-win64_v2-7-0.zip.Installation went without problems but when I try to start the application I get the splash screen and then it just exits apparently. If I runt it from a prompt I get no messages.C:\Program Files\STMicroelectronics\STM32Cube\STM32CubeProgrammer\bin>STM32CubeProgrammer.exeC:\Program Files\STMicroelectronics\STM32Cube\STM32CubeProgrammer\bin>Is there a verbose mode or a log file to figure out why it does not want to start (windows 7 pro).

Hi everyone,I can print nice pictures & transitions on the display of my custom board. But when I'm rasing the brightness of the display (by setting the PWM backlight value), at a certain value the screen starts to flicker. Controls are shaking and if I continue to raise the brightness it flickers more.Below that critical value it's working well, as you can see on the pictures joined. I'm using a LCD TFT (parallel interface) with external SDRAM & TouchGFX.What could cause this ?Thanks

Hi to allI'm a newbe for this things. My intention is to use the Intensity Detection application for the this system: NucleoSTM32L152 + X-Nucleo-IKS01A3 with ST32CubeMX version 6.21 and ST32CubeIDEversion 1.61.I downloaded MEMS examples from https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/products/embedded-software/mcu-mpu-embedded-software/stm32-embedded-software/stm32cube-expansion-packages/x-cube-mems1.html.I copied the application IntensityDetection (for NucleoSTM32L152 and X-Nucleo-IKS01A3) into my workspace (NucleoL152RE).I opened the IntensityDetection ioc file with STM32CubeMx. I migrated to a newer version of firmware of ioc (as suggest) and then I generated the code.I opened the STM32CubeIDE and did build. It returns this:c:\programmazione\stmicroelectronics\stm32cubeide\stm32cubeide\stm32cubeide\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.9-2020-q2-update.win32_1.5.0.202011040924\tools\arm-none-eabi\bin\ld.exe: Application/User/motion_id_manager.o: in function `Mot

We use the STM32MP157CA and the STM32CubeIDE and let the code generator generate a confiuration with the required modules. In our case the SPI1 on the pins (PZ0,PZ1,PZ2). The generated functions provide the initializations for the SPI1. Unfortunately the SPI1 does not work for us in normal operation mode. If we call the HAL_SPI_Transmit(...) function after the initialization we get a SPI timeout. On the oscilloscope we see no clock on the spi clock line. We also noticed that when we use the engineering mode for the M4 the SPI1 works. If we change the SPI to the SPI5 (also generated with the code generator) everything works in normal operation mode and in engineering mode. How can we use the SPI1 in normal operation mode on the M4?

If I have a signal sampled at 16384/32768Hertz, but I am only interested in frequencies below 2000Hz - can I use the FMAC to automatically produce a buffer of FIR filtered samples at 4096Hz? I think some hardware filter accelerators have a decimation register for specifying the down sample rate.

Hi!I have STM32F373 and I want to send data with USB FS.When I generate a project, I get this struct.PCD_HandleTypeDef hpcd_USB_FS;What should I do to send data with that struct?

Hi!I just want to tell you ST-developers that I have found something that don't looks correct.Wrong indexing in SDADC. Have a look. STM32CubeIDE 1.6.1

Hi guys, I have no idea whats going on. I no longer can't get the I2S peripheral working on the STM32H753ZI.The I2S was working. From the last post the Tx was not working, but as I kept working on the code to get the Tx back online, now the clocks that were produced (WS, SCLK, MCLK) no longer is working. I have no idea whats going on but every-time I keep working on the I2S more and more stop working. I believe I need a new set of eyes to look at this as I dont see anything wrong, as I went back to old forum post, questions, very old code (THAT WAS CONFIRMED WORKING) are now no longer working. Can please someone help me get the I2S working again. Completely lost on this. CODE (UP TO DATE): https://pastebin.com/q2QdpKFTMemory is in the right region for DMASPI & DMA registers reporting 0 errorsChecked the GPIO, RCC, I2S, DMA registers are set correctly Used old code that was confirmed working, is no longer workingUPDATE 1: Tried using HAL to setup this thing and the behaviour is the

Hi guys I am having troubles in understanding the "CHLEN" & "DATLEN" from PG. 2251 from the STM32H753ZI The reason I am asking because I am doing DSP, and I noticed when I change DATLEN from 16BIT -> 24BIT my DSP works perfectly, but when its on the 16BIT setting the wave looks messed up.I also know it has to do with some sort of DMA as testing changing around MSIZE & PSIZE the wave form changes I tried also probing it DATLEN doesnt do anything but I noticed CHLEN changes the SCLK If anyone can explain to me this would be amazing

Hi, I want to run STM8S003F with an external crystal. How do I use APIs in stm8_clk?Or in which material is it described?Regards, Gotoda

I have purchased a stm32f407vet6 black board from local market after coming home i am surprised that i cant find any tutorials or anything which are explaining how to program this board. This is the board i bought from local market i am providing link just for better understanding ( https://robokits.co.in/control-boards/arm-development-board/stm32-cortex-m4-stm32f407vet6-development-board )i thought this board is great to start learning with because it have inbuilt flash memory, sd card slot tft pinout etc, but now iam feeling very bad for my decisioni also have the ST Link V2(small one which looks like pen drive). so can i program this stm32f407vet6 black board using this ST Link?I am new to this STM32 world so please help to understand how can i program this stm32f407vet6 black board

Hi,I've configured ADC + DMA to get a single 12-bit sample (of 7 channels) from an ISR routine. However I'd like to implement a double-buffer 'ping-ping' mechanism in order to process the chunk [7][1024] data at the end of acquisition. This is at sample number 1024 of channel 7.Is there any example for the STM32L4 family with this implementation?thanks in advance, gaston

Does STM32H7B0VBT6 support DSP and FPU ?

Hi!I am using STM32F030K6T6 as my bldc controller.i set up my adc as below:/* ADC init function */ void MX_ADC_Init(void) { ADC_ChannelConfTypeDef sConfig = {0};   /** Configure the global features of the ADC (Clock, Resolution, Data Alignment and number of conversion) */ hadc.Instance = ADC1; hadc.Init.ClockPrescaler = ADC_CLOCK_ASYNC_DIV1; hadc.Init.Resolution = ADC_RESOLUTION_12B; hadc.Init.DataAlign = ADC_DATAALIGN_RIGHT; hadc.Init.ScanConvMode = ADC_SCAN_DIRECTION_FORWARD; hadc.Init.EOCSelection = ADC_EOC_SINGLE_CONV; hadc.Init.LowPowerAutoWait = DISABLE; hadc.Init.LowPowerAutoPowerOff = DISABLE; hadc.Init.ContinuousConvMode = ENABLE; hadc.Init.DiscontinuousConvMode = DISABLE; hadc.Init.ExternalTrigConv = ADC_EXTERNALTRIGCONV_T1_CC4; hadc.Init.ExternalTrigConvEdge = ADC_EXTERNALTRIGCONVEDGE_RISING; hadc.Init.DMAContinuousRequests = ENABLE; hadc.Init.Overrun = ADC_OVR_DATA_PRESERVED; if (HAL_ADC_Init(&hadc) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } /** Configur

Hello,I have ADC that reads battery voltage ( using 1024 samples with DMA, and after TC_IRQ I calculate average, it is stable to the bit !)First time Trigger ADC i get 4.11V (perfect voltage), after 2s i trigger ADC gain, and i get 4.05V. and from that one it's stays at 4.05V. Voltage and reference is stable, i checked. (stepping with debugger)DMA is in normal mode, so i get 1024 samples. What is strange, if I use circular DMA, it holds value , but if I do any stop with debugger, anywhere , voltage goes to 4.05V.Any idea why this can be happening?

I get always zeros from my code. Is there something you see immediately. This is what TI tells me to do (I have ADS1115).For example, to write to the configuration register to set the ADS111x to continuous-conversion mode and thenread the conversion result, send the following bytes in this order:1. Write to Config register:– First byte: 0b10010000 (first 7-bit I2C address followed by a low R/W bit)– Second byte: 0b00000001 (points to Config register)– Third byte: 0b10000100 (MSB of the Config register to be written)– Fourth byte: 0b10000011 (LSB of the Config register to be written)2. Write to Address Pointer register:– First byte: 0b10010000 (first 7-bit I2C address followed by a low R/W bit)– Second byte: 0b00000000 (points to Conversion register)3. Read Conversion register:– First byte: 0b10010001 (first 7-bit I2C address followed by a high R/W bit)– Second byte: the ADS111x response with the MSB of the Conversion register– Third byte: the ADS111x response with the LSB of the Convers

In STM32CubeMX, when I enable an I2C interface in SMBus mode (and no other I2C interfaces are enabled), the resulting code emitted in file stm32f4xx_hal_conf.h has this line commented out:/* #define HAL_I2C_MODULE_ENABLED  */As a consequence, stm32f4xx_hal_i2c.h is not included. This leads to compile errors in stm32f4xx_hal_smbus.h, which needs typedef I2C_TypeDef.

hi there I cannot figure out the true meaning of htcr reg and config1~config3 field in rng_cr reg。 I was wondering about the relationship between health test register and health test parameter （repetition counter test the “40? consecutive bits or adaptive proportion test the "691" times)asking for help!!! any reply will be welcome
