Hello!my name is Franz Joseph Pal and I am a PhD student at the University of Applied Sciences in Karlsruhe, Germany. My work as a PhD student involves a comparison of different MEMS sensors and their specifications. The goal is to work out the requirements of the sensors for vibration analysis. We plan to publish a paper with first results at the end of October and want to refer to the whitepaper "Capacitive MEMS accelerometer for condition monitoring" from ST. Is it possible to know the exact date when this whitepaper was published so that we can properly reference it?link of resource: https://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/white_paper/group0/c0/30/46/2f/00/24/42/1c/Capacitive_MEMS_accelerometer_for_condition_monitoring/files/MEMS_Condition_monitoring.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.MEMS_Condition_monitoring.pdfThanks in advance.Greetings,Franz Joseph Pal

Hello All,We design a circuit with STM32F030F4.And when I checked the current consumption of the circuit , I saw the curent consumption is changing by the time.It moves like decreasing for some time and increasing suddenly after that decreasing for some times again and increase again. And it repeats this continiously.MCU is using internal crystal.I check all circuit and find the cause. It does that because of PLL.Because I check this status:1) With 8 MHz without PLL and current consumption is standing still and its value is 0.6 mA2) With 8 MHz with PLL and current consumption is floating and its value is 0.8 mAWhen we use PLL current consumption is increase and floating. When the clock speed is set higher value than fluctuation in the current is also increase. Is there any information about this .Can we stop this fluctuation .Any advice would be helpfull,Thank you.Regards.EMRE

I'm trying to align an input 15 kHz signal with a 20% duty cycle with an output 15 kHz signal with a 50% duty cycle. To do this I'm hooking up the input signal to a direct capture interrupt and Timer 1 Channel 4 and using the HAL_TIM_IC_CaptureCallback function to begin my PWM timer. In doing this I notice a significant delay of 6ms as shown in the picture below. I need the delay to be on the order of 1-2µs not 6ms. Is this possible using the STM32 L476RG operating at 80 MHz? Otherwise, what are some common solutions to meeting these kinds of timing requirements? Here is my ISR for reference:void HAL_TIM_IC_CaptureCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim) { if (htim->Channel == HAL_TIM_ACTIVE_CHANNEL_4) { if (num_pulses == 0) { HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_12, state); HAL_TIM_PWM_Start(&htim2, TIM_CHANNEL_1); ++num_pulses; } else if (num_pulses == 50) { if (state = 0) { state = 1; } else { state = 0; } num_pulses = 0; } else { ++num_puls

Hey,I was wondering how to interface GPIO port registers CRL and CRH with HAL libraries, as I don't see such an option and simple GPIOB->CRL line gives an error. Here are the available selections:

Hi,I need to enable interrupts for pins PJ0, PJ3, PJ4 and PJ5. Why these pins? Because they are connected to the ARDUINO connector (CN5 and CN6) of the STM32H7474I-DISCO board and they all seem to be all free. I have the initialization code (Hopefully right) but I have no glue how enable and handle the interrupts. Can anybody help?GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct = {0}; __HAL_RCC_GPIOJ_CLK_ENABLE(); /*Configure GPIO pins : PJ0 PJ5 PJ3 PJ4 */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_0|GPIO_PIN_5|GPIO_PIN_3|GPIO_PIN_4; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_IT_RISING; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOJ, &GPIO_InitStruct);Thanks,Louis

I am working on STM32L552 Nucle0-144 board with Trustzone enabled. Secure code starts from 0x0C000000 and non secure code vector table located at 0x08040000. After completing the initializations in secure code I am calling non secure reset handler by loading the address from 0x08040004. Here I observed in disassembly that non secure Vector table contents are all 0's (Zeros), hence not able to load the non secure initialization code. Please guide me to resolve this

In the evalAPIcommands.c file have the function "reflectedPowerTooHigh()" in the line 907. The goal of that function is to calculate the value of the reflected power and the deviation variable received this value, but don't have a comment in code say what is the unit calculated that variable, Would I like to know what is the unit of that variable percentage or dBm?

I would like to get the time stamp of read and read per second of one tag. Which is the best way to implement the same using SDK? I would like to get the timestamp of each read as in ST25RU3993 Reader Suite.

Hello,By documentation STM32F101VC has 32KB RAM, we notice that our project use 44KB of RAM more than 2 years without any issues. What is real RAM size and why in documentation is only 32KB?

HAL_Delay (500); fresult = f_mount(&fs, "/", 1);  if (fresult != FR_OK)   Serial_PutString ("ERROR!!! in mounting SD CARD...\n\n");  else  {   Serial_PutString("\n\r SD CARD mounted successfully...\n\n");  fresult = f_open (&fil, "zephyr_20210506_nbiot_quad_12ec59.bin", FA_READ); result = Ymodem_Transmit(&fil, (const uint8_t*)"zephyr_20210506_nbiot_quad_12ec59.bin", 5601949);My requirement is to pass the start address of the file stored in SD card to the function "Ymodem_Transmit" and transfer file using Y MODEM protocol to some other microcontroller connected to STM32. I used SD card because the above mentioned file is of large size which cannot fit in internal flash of STM. Remaining small files i am putting in flash and reading by giving the address in flash as below result = Ymodem_Transmit((uint8_t*)APPLICATION_ADDRESS, (const uint8_t*)"sbl_7243i_v1.0_test.bin", size);where #define APPLICATION_ADDRES

I have STM32H723ZG board. I want to connect to Azure IoT Hub and send telemetry from this STM32H723ZG,Azure IoT Hub and device was already created in Azure Portal.I downloaded x-cube-azrtos-h7. But I couldn't find the example to connect to Azure IoT Hub.I found the sample https://github.com/azure-rtos/samples. But this is the sample for STM32F746G-DISCOVERY.This sample uses sample_azure_iot_embedded_sdk.c. The x-cube-azrtos-h7 also has this in Middlewares\ST\netxduo\addons\azure_iot\samples.But I couldn't know how to use this in x-cube-azrtos-h7 with STM32CubeIDE.How can I use Middlewares\ST\netxduo\addons\azure_iot\samples?How can I connect to Azure IoT Hub with x-cube-azrtos-h7?

Hi!So I configured my SPI to work with DMA and with external CS. Before my main loop I set CS high, and everytime before I initialize communication on SPI with DMA i set CS low. Then, after communication is done I go to interrupt on that event and set CS high again (don't know if it is the best way on doing that, let me know if there is one better :) ).Okay, so in while(1) loop I transmit-receive data from LIS3DSH. I sent 3 commands and receive 3 sets of data. The trick is that it's working really strange. So, when I'm sending WHO_AM_I (0x8F) I should receive 0x3F, but whoami value is 0x00.When I'm sending INFO_1 (0x8D) I should receive 0x21, but info1 value is 0x3F.And when I'm sending INFO_2 (0x8E) I should receive 0x00, but info2 value is 0x21.I check tx-rx on oscilloscope, and communication looks perfect, just the values of my variables are weird.I know that using DMA on SPI causes it go on full speed, maybe I'm just too fast and my variables are changing too slow? I'm not sure. Her

Hi ST team,I want to define a new section in the ld script so I can use that for variables that have to keep their values in case of soft resets.I have made some changes in the script as follows,  .noinit (NOLOAD):  {   . = ALIGN(4);    _noinit = .;         *(.noinit .noinit.*)           . = ALIGN(4) ;    _end_noinit = .;    } >RAMI have also defined a variable of this kind in the following way,uint32_t tempVar __attribute__ ((section(".noinit"))) = 0;At every soft reset, the value of this variable is preserved. However, at every hard reset, the variable is initialized with some garbage value. What am I missing here? Thank you.

I have a correct circuit and could print in LCD in arduino IDE using the above mentioned board. To do in STM32CUBEIDE I dont know what libraries are needed and how to code there. Can someone please guide me? There are no videos online or no resources regarding this so I couldn't be guided. Thanks in advance

Hi ,I want to configure the ethernet for STM32f469IITx how can I do it and how can I test the working.

Hello,I'm trying to use the MotionDI library for a dynamic inclinometer application. My IMU is the LSM9DS1. The returned data from MotionDI_update() is shown below:The values for rotation, quaternion, gravity, and linear acceleration never change, even when the IMU is moved. I initialized the MotionDI library according to the sample code in the documentation:float freq = 100.0f; MDI_knobs_t iKnobs; MDI_knobs_t *ipKnobs = &iKnobs;   int main(void) { HAL_Init(); SystemClock_Config(); MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_USART2_UART_Init(); MX_I2C1_Init(); MX_CRC_Init(); MX_NVIC_Init();   MotionDI_Initialize(&freq); MotionDI_setKnobs(ipKnobs);   while (1) { lsm9ds1_read_data_polling(); } }The lsm9ds1_read_data_polling() function is from an LSM9DS1 driver sample code and handles the initialization and reading of data for the IMU. In that function's while loop I have the following:while (1) { /* Read device status register */ lsm9ds1_dev_status_get(&dev_ctx_mag, &amp

I am using Touchgfx v4.16. I recently purchased a STM32429I-Eval kit directly from ST. I ported an existing Touchgfx project to use the 429I-Eval drivers and flashed the board using the Stm32 Cube Programmer and the external flash loader that matches the eval board's external flash. When the application started, the image on the screen was distorted. As a check, I generated an example project using Designer. I flashed the project onto the eval board directly using Designer. The screen image was still distorted (see attached image). When I load the original demonstration application onto eval board, the images look fine. However this is a single STemWin binary and not separate internal and external binaries. The only times when I seen this sort of image distortion is when there is a mismatch between the internal and external binaries (ex: the external binary is updated on the target but the internal binary is not). Is there a known issue with the STM32429I-Eval board or the files that come

Hi all,I'am working with a LSM6DSO32, and I try to implement AHRS algorithm to fuse gyro and accel data. In source code I have this lineFusionVector3 gyroscopeSensitivity = { 1.0f, 1.0f, 1.0f, }; // replace these values with actual sensitivity in degrees per second per lsb as specified in gyroscope datasheetSo if I've understood well, for my LSM6DSO32 configure at 500dps, I have a sensitivity at 17.50 mdps/LSB, so mdps is milli degrees per second that's right ? So in my struct I have to replace 1.0f by 0.0175f am I right? Thanks
