Solved

I have tested changing boot0 addresses for both the cores (M7 & M4) by STM32CubeProgrammer in ST-LINK mode. It is working properly. When I tried to implement same logic in SPI boot mode, M4_boot0 address is not updating. Where as M7_boot0 address is able to update.I tried connecting STM controller in UART mode with STM32CubeProgrammer, there also M7_boot0 address is able to update but while updating M4_boot0 address STM32CubeProgremmer gives error in updating M4_boot0 address. Please refer attachment for STM32CubeProgrammer logs in UART mode. Why option bytes are updating only in ST-LINK mode, what is wrong in SPI and UART mode ? Please suggest the changes if needed.Thank you.Vaibhav.

Hi, I've created a SD card following this guide. The generated SD card partitions can be seen in the screenshot here below. It seems to boot correctly until the kernel prompts the following error:[ 4.200445] ---[ end Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(179,6) ]---How to solve this?Thank you.

I'm having this problem when I'm trying to upload my code to the microcontroller. I'm using the STM32F303RE Nucleo board, and whenever I try to upload the code it happens this error: Internal command errorAnd after that, it doesn't let me upload any code. I searched for the solution and it was to erase the code putting BOOT0 in high, but I tried again and failed.I have this initialization (before the while loop) function for the I2C protocol: void Initializate_I2C(){ //using AF4 periph::GPIO::set_pin(GPIOA, 14, ALTERNATE); //SDA periph::GPIO::set_pin(GPIOA, 15, ALTERNATE); //SCL GPIOA->OTYPER |= ((1U << 14U) | (1U << 15U)); GPIOA->AFR[1] |= (4U << 28U); GPIOA->AFR[1] |= (4U << 24U); //periph::GPIO::set_afrh(GPIOA, 4U, 24U); //periph::GPIO::set_afrh(GPIOA, 4U, 28U); periph::I2C::Init(I2C1, 0x00201D2BU, FILTER_COF_1); }I noticed that the code only uploads successfully if I delete lines 8 and 9 (configuring the afrh for I2C). Hi,We are currently using H745 in our design and we noticed this little excerpt in the bootloader manual (AN2606):" Additional reset needed after power off/on to enable connection to the BL interfaces "It seems that not all resets are equal and the reset is counted towards this requirement if the reset is applied when the chip is already waiting in the bootloader.Currently, our procedure is this (we use STLink v3:   go to debug mode   Issue three resets (debug configuration has this assigned to HWReset) with Keil uVision IDE   Press "Run Code" to run our application   After this, we issue our "Enter bootloader command" (as explained in the article by ST)   The controller is ready to enter bootloader and is stopped   We press "run code" and the board enters bootloader   We can use FDCAN commandsAs you can see, we rely on the IDE to get us to a functioning bootloader. We need to be ab

Hi all,I am using LSM6DSL chip as a pedometer and sensing other stuff like tap detection, tilt detection etc on a wearable device. The pedometer counts are pretty close to accurate when I compare it with other standard devices like the apple watch/ fit bits. But the issue is it is also counting the hand movements as steps for eg: when I am not walking and just moving my the sensor or just picking up something etc. I was wondering if there is a filter of some sort to remove false step counts? Thanks,Kesav

I create a widget Box, with intention:For single click , do action 1For dragging, prevent doing action 1This mean I need the Box container need to :Detect drag event. I know how to detect single click but not drag.Differentiate between drag event and single click.I tried to tick mixins option for both 'Draggable' and 'ClickListener' then setup in class definitionvirtual void handleDragEvent(const DragEvent& event) override {    // break point here  }But when I drag the box, it never hit the breakpoint inside handleDragEvent().Did I miss anything?

Hi,The bit [1:0] for STUSB4500 registry CC_STATUS(0x11)  is labeled as CC1_STATE: (available when CONNECT_result =1) 00: Reserved 01: SNK.Default (Above minimum vRd-Connect) 10: SNK.Power1.5 (Above minimum vRd-Connect) 11: SNK.Power3.0 (Above minimum vRd-Connect) What is the meaning for SNK.Power1.5 and SNK.Power3.0? What is the meaning for "Above minimum vRd-Connect"?I found that when I connect to a PC USB-A port, CC_STATUS(0x11)  is always 0x11; While when I connect to a lab power supply, CC_STATUS(0x11)  is always 0x13. Is it guaranteed? When USB-C PD is not used, our devices need to be able to power up when connecting to lab power supply(5V, 3A), but not power on when connecting a PC USB-A port. We are trying to find a way to detect the connection type and the CC_STATUS register seems promising. Thanks,Winston

"When STOP mode is executed using the sample code of STM32CubeL0, the power consumption can be suppressed to 1 ~ 2uA, but it is the most consumed when the alarm and GPIO are enabled and the recovery from STOP mode is enabled. How can I reduce power consumption?

Some remote debugging tools (Arm's DS-5 semihosting) allow setting arguments to main(). I'm unable to figure out the steps do this with stlink + gdb remote targeting because it doesn't support "run", only "continue". Is there a way to do this with a combination of STM32 Cube tools?

Is there any guidance or examples to follow for implementing the Cortex Debug+ETM Connector (20-pins, 0.05") on an STM32F4 board, with the connector as specified here, such that ETM trace is usable?J-Link/J-Trace User's Guide: Connectors (keil.com)e.g. Application Notes, or eval/disco boards that implement it so that I can see the connections in the schematic.I see how to connect the (3) SWD and (5) TRACE pins from the micro datasheet. I'm not sure yet on things like VTref, GNDDetect, and GND/TgtPwr+Cap. Some guidance would save time and provide confidence. So far all I've found is signal routing guidelines in section 8.4.4 "Embedded trace macrocell (ETM)" of app note AN4488 (Rev 7), "Getting started with STM32F4xxxx MCU hardware development".

Hello,I am trying to create a project on cubeMX with touchGFX using the eval board stm32h747i-disco. I can program my graphic application from the touchGFX software but when I try to create a project from cubeMX, I cannot add touchGFX generator and in the release notes of the version 4.16 it says : "TouchGFX Generator was previously available for projects with dual Core MCUs H747* and H745* despite not being supported yet."Do you have an idea of when it will be released, I saw on the forum that it was planned for Q4 2020?Also can I get the project used by the touch GFX software to generate the binary that is programmed to the eval board when you create a graphic applicationThank you by advanceBest regards,

I'm looking for an example. Can you help me?

Hello everyone,I designed my own board which partly failed.I used 32768 Hz ceramic crystal for LSE and 8MHz ceramic resonator for HSE.I can upload my code successfully, but, it doesn't execute unless I disable both LSE and HSE.I'm not professional designer, but, I carefully followed the design recommendations in AN2867.My resonator is exactly as st recommends 8MHz with 33pF C_load. please check the pics below.Y41 MC-146 32.7680KA-A3Y42 AWSCR-8.00CELA-C33-T3I have a Murat 16MHz resonator which lying around, so I gave a try, but with no luck. Can someone help me? Any suggestions are really appreciated !Regards,Tommy

Hello,I can't find any example code of flash write or read using LL_drivers, only HAL drivers. I work with Blue NRG and I do have rf_drivers_ll_flash.c with functions that looks like those in rf_drivers_hal_flash.c. But I can't make flash working with LL functions... The only meaningful difference is HAL_Init(), which I can't find any LL drivers equivalent. The other differences are locking the access of the flash during write. Is there something obvious I am missing? (clock init? )Is there some example code using LL drivers for flash? Even MCU different from Blue NRG will be fine, I'll adapt it.Thank you !

I've just now switched from TrueSTUDIO to CubeIDE 1.7.0, and when I tried to clean the project by selecting Project -> Clean ... from the menu, I got an error message:19:26:52 **** Clean-only build of configuration Debug for project xx **** make clean make: *** No rule to make target 'clean'. Stop. "make clean" terminated with exit code 2. Build might be incomplete. 19:26:53 Build Failed. 1 errors, 0 warnings. (took 116ms)Why did CubeIDE not migrate that correctly, and how can I fix this?

In the attached image showing the description of the reference manual of stm32L475. Here, it is showing the EOC flag is set to clear by the SW. We can clear the flag but how can SW set the EOC flag. I am suspecting this as a bug in the document. Can anybody help me, whether I am right or not?

Hello, I want to use X-NUCLEO-NFC06A1 with an esp32 pico kit over i2c. I have the read/write functions from esp and I can read a register from the module. I want to use the code you provide to read an nxp ntag (ndef_t2t.c in x-cube examples has some functions) . I studied the linux demo with SPI and read the cube-x code and rfal.chm. I understand that if I provide some functions in a platform.h and with a custom analog config, then I can use the whole linux example to the esp oer i2c, is that correct? How do I use the NDEFs in the cube example? The linux demo does not use them.has someone done something similar? I could use some guidance for the analog_config

i have integrated STL XCUBE class-B 2.2.0 Packages with STM32L433 controller here i am facing Startup RAM test issue The RAM-test procedure STL_FullRamMarchC(RAM_START, RAM_END, BCKGRND) != SUCCESS) of the IEC 60335 SelfTest library ends with a HardFault Handler. when i run in debug mode end of the function return 1 then after jumping to Hard fault handler, i have checked RAM start end address correct only, what could be issue please help me out on ?#define RAM_START ((uint32_t *)0x20000000uL) #define RAM_END  ((uint32_t *)0x2000BFFFuL)      // 48KB used=>49151-1=0x2000BFFFuLi have checked the application note AN4435 they mentioned changes regarding 2.3.0 only, there is no much information Xcube Class-B 2.2.0if any help it would be gratefulBest Regards,Naresh

For version 6.2.0 of cubemx software, select stm32l562vetx chip, use FreeRTOS CMOS V2, and fill in the stack size for the new task. In the generated armmdk code, the unit is not "words", but "bytes". But if I change to f429ze chip, the generated code will see stack_ size “* 4?。

Function "PWM Generation CH2N" can not work, channel CH2N don't output PWM signal. But after I changed "tmpccer &= ~TIM_CCER_CC2NE;" to "tmpccer |= TIM_CCER_CC2NE;" (in file stm32h7xx_hal_tim.c), it works well.Hoping developers of HAL library will fix this mistake soon.

Hello Folks,I was doing my I2C example, and I realize that the STM board found an address with one left-shifted.I set my Arduino address as 70 -> 0x46 for hexadecimalvoid setup() { Wire.begin(0x46); // Wire communication begin }I connect my STM32F429I_DISC1 and finally make it work with the IsDeviceReady function. It returns as 0-1-130-131 (I don't know why but not relevant.) and then it finds 140 and 141When I check my binaries,70 -> 0100 1100140 -> 1000 1100141 -> 1000 1101when I left shift 70 with 1 bit, I got 140, I have no idea why I am getting 141 (last bit not important maybe?)So I'm just curious about why it's happening?I supply my project in here, I didn't add any additional library or so,I just use CubeMX and CubeIDE (Not even Keil uVision 5)But since, I am capable of doing I2C communication happen (even with shifted addresses), I want to look forward to complex examples. Now, what should I send to my slave Arduino, 70 or 140?Also when I make a scan at Arduino, it

I know that it is the same package and pinout, but will my firmware just work when I move to this part? Thanks a lot, John

Hi!I'm using EA W162-XBLG OLED in SPI mode. Timing shown in datasheet is really weird. In instruction diagram there is 20 clock cycles, in data transmission 18. I try to get it to work with STM32F407VG, but I can only set 8 or 16 clock cycles. Maybe someone interfaced with this OLED, or have any idea how to obtain this problem?Datasheet: https://www.elfadistrelec.pl/Web/Downloads/_t/ds/oled_eng_tds.pdf Thanks and have a nice day :)
