I've migrated to a new custom board, which uses a STM32F746IE and a new SDRAM model, NDS36PT5-20ET by Insignis. And although I could make a MT48LC16M16A2 by Micron work in the previous board, I have no luck with the Insignis SDRAM.The Insignis SDRAM is rated for 200 MHz. I'm using a system clock of 200 MHz, so the SDRAM is clocked at 100 MHz. Based on the timings in the datasheet, I configured CubeMX like this:Each FMC cycle is 10 ns, so I divided the datasheet time by 10 ns and rounded up. The Write recovery time would be 1 cycle, but CubeMX sets this to 2. I also chose a CL of 3, since the datasheet doesn't list any Clock cycle time for CL 2.Similarly, I initialize the SDRAM with this function in main():static void SDRAM_Init() { FMC_SDRAM_CommandTypeDef Command;   __IO uint32_t tmpmrd =0; /* Step 3: Configure a clock configuration enable command */ Command.CommandMode = FMC_SDRAM_CMD_CLK_ENABLE; Command.CommandTarget = FMC_SDRAM_CMD_TARGET_BANK1; Command.AutoRefreshNumber

Greetings all,Is there a way to configure TIM12 to be clocked by TI1FP1 and reset (with trigger to continue counting) via TI2FP2? Or is this going to require some hideous multi-timer contraption? Thanks,Dave

Hi, We have acquired this board called Audio Injector (in the image) that has a WM8731, it is a raspberry pi hat, but we want to use it with the STM32MP157D-DK1 but the drivers we have found on the internet seems to be not compatible with this board (we are using the base OpenSTLinux), despite the board has the pinout of raspberry. Someone has used it before? Another question, how can we manipulate the Cortex M4 from the Operating system? there is a way we can use it capabilities from the OS? because we noticed that for the Cortex A7 we cannot use the SAI ports as I2S but from the Cortex M4 is possible to use them as I2S. (we saw that on the STM32Cube IDE and CubeMX).Thanks for your answer.

We created a new project with STM32L552 using STM3CubeMX V. 6.3.0 and HAL Version 1.4.0. We activated Middleware USB CDC and used the identical software add-ons as in the last project for the same processor. The last project was done using HAL V. 1.2.0. and worked perfectly. Now with the new release we can not get the CFC to work. After all initialisations are done, the USB port state is set to "Suspended".The PC can not connect to the USB device via VCP. (USB Device was not detected) The error message on the PC appears as soon as USB_DevConnect(hpcd->Instance);is called in HAL_PCD_Start().Has anybody an idea what could be the reason?

Hello,I need to interface STM32 with SMI230 IMU sensor is there any libraries or driver for programming, I have found the linux driver for the SMI230, in my use case i am going to use STM32 MCU which cannot run linux OS, so "I need a driver which uses generic C API's which i port it to the STM32 environment" .Thanks

We have been using STM32 L series and F series of micros in our products with STM32Cube Hal drivers , stacks and FreeRTOS. Now we have to go to certified RTOS. Looking at options of SafeRTOS , Azure Threadx , and Flexible Safety RTOS. We would like to know , Going forward , if the STM32Cube / Mx supports FreeRTOS / SafeRTOS / AzureThreadx for the Middlewares or stacks. Accordingly we would like choose our option. Thanks in advance , SivaSW ArchitectGreenCubes Technology

Hi, I have STM32L496 and use Freertos 10.2. Everything is fine, but I would like read data from queue without removing from the queue. I discovered function xQueuePeek() but I dont know how to use it if I can read specific item from Queue. For example I can check first and second item. Peek() function return only first item.please help thank you

Can someone help with the specific sequence to get the INT_DRDY output to become active when the pressure drops from the reference pressure by 156 hPA (120 mmHg).I have read and reread the data sheet, and examined the ST "C" library source. I am able to configure the output pin for DRDY successfully. The current sequence is outlined below. I've tried several different orders of the sequence. The pressure readings are correct in both value and timing. The INT_DRDY works correctly when configured as DRDY. However, applying an external vacuum that is 3X the threshold setting does not cause the output to be active. Thanks for your help in this matter.Dave1) Perform a software reset.2) Initialize control registers 1 - 3. Here are some relevant bits:    REG.CTRL.REG1.ODR        = 5; //Output data rate 75Hz   REG.CTRL.REG2.ONE_SHOT   = 0; //Init to idle mode   REG.CTRL.REG3.INT_S  &nbsp

Hi everyone,I can communicate with ic via i2c. I can write/read on user memory section but when i try to write static registers, i faced foolish value. For example, firstly i read MB_MODE register and value is default '0' then i write '1' on this register. Finally i read again for being assure, and i faced 0x20. That is suprising. I also try all static register and i faced foolish value all of them. Would be appriciate any help. Thank you.

How can i use FTM buffer i do not understand what should I do exactly. I have problems first step. I can read all block of system memory , user memory and dynamic registers also i can write on user memory(EEPROM) but when i try to initalize Fast transfer mode , i encountered problem that cannot change static configuration registers like i want. I am waiting your advises.

Do we able to calibrate the RTC for better accuracy?

Hi,I am working with the STM32MP157c-DK2. All examples are working fine, but now I would like to use custom code. I generated some code using CubeMX for the development board. I used the default settings and enabled FreeRTOS additionally. I compiled the generated device tree file and pushed it to the board. Afterwards, I booted Linux on the A7 processor and launched my compiled FreeRTOS code on the M4 processor using remoteproc. The application crashed. I used the eclipse debugger to locate the problem: The application crashes, while trying to start the first RTOS task, when calling the function prvPortStartFirstTask( void ) in port.c. As an error message the deugger gives meError: stm32mp15x.cpu2 -- clearing lockup after double fault Polling target stm32mp15x.cpu2 failed, trying to reexamineI didn´t change a single line in the code generated from CubeMX. Any suggestions why my application crashes? Thank you for your help.Robin

Hello everyone I want to use external power for my STM32MP157A-DK1. I connect 5 volts directly to the Raspberry Connector. But the U-boot in the console tells me that I should use USB Type C. How do I change the U-boot so that I can use more than just USB Type-C

Hi, its not clear for me, does lower number represent higher or lower priority? Is "System tick timer" at highest or lowest priority?

Board : STM32F746GI configure USART1 with same configuration. USART1 is working fine. I did same configuration for USART2 also, but USART2 not working. I don't know what's happening. Thanks Manikandan D

I want to use the STM32G4 DAC along with its internal OPAMP to connect to the Headphone jack directly without the need for an audio IC, is it possible ?. This is my first time implementing such type of function hence I am unaware of the details or benefits each approach provide. Please help me out.

Hi I have just received my STM32H7B3I-DK and have plugged a micro usb in STLINK connection. When I build a sample application in CubeIDE and try to launch debugger using the default configuration that seems like a good selection, but the debugger terminates indicating not ST-Link detected. Is there any document regarding to getting started with example debugging for this DK?
