Solved

My problem is, that on the one hand, the SPI3 configuration is lost after I close CubeMX. The assignment is lost to the M4 core (changed from A7 to M4 and after reopening, its again at A7. The changes have been saved and tried on different machines). If the assignment of the DMA streams for the peripherals has been done, after reopening CubeMx and *ioc file, the DMA streams differ or are completely lost.   So, what I am doing wrong here? Is there maybe another problem with the GPIO or whatever, which can lead to this unexpected behaviour? Or is this a known issue?   Thank you for the help.   Best regards, Jan-Otto

I have a custom board with STM32WB50CGU5 controller. I want to develop an application on this board having BLE, and IRDA.I am able to run the example (p2p Server and p2p Client) given for the STM32WB55 Nucleo board on my custom board without any error and its working fine. Now I want to use the example code for my custom board which has different controller and UART is IRDA.Is it possible to use it?How this can be achieved?

Hello all.I use STM32F4 controller with eMMC external Flash.I use two IDEs:IAR version 8.30STM32CubeIDE version 5.2.0The access to eMMC external Flash succeeds while I use IAR IDE.The access to eMMC external Flash failed while I use STMCubeIDE with same SDIO clock of IAR .I divide by 2 the SDIO clock for STMCubeIDE.The access to eMMC external Flash is better but failed after 10-20 accesses. Can anyone advise what is the problem of STMCubeIDE compiler/linker/optimizer?Thanks in advance.Yacob.

Hi,I'm using the STM32CubeIDE v1.6.1 and using FW.F2.1.9.3 firmware package with are both currently the lastest up to date versions.Setting up an STM32CubeMX project for low layer library to be able to use RTC, the code generator is not working properly.Here is how to generates the code:/** Initialize RTC and set the Time and Date */ RTC_InitStruct.HourFormat = LL_RTC_HOURFORMAT_24HOUR; RTC_InitStruct.AsynchPrescaler = 127; RTC_InitStruct.SynchPrescaler = 255; LL_RTC_Init(RTC, &RTC_InitStruct); LL_RTC_SetAsynchPrescaler(RTC, 127); LL_RTC_SetSynchPrescaler(RTC, 255); /** Initialize RTC and set the Time and Date */ if(LL_RTC_BAK_GetRegister(RTC, LL_RTC_BKP_DR0) != 0x32F2){   RTC_TimeStruct.Hours = 0; RTC_TimeStruct.Minutes = 50; RTC_TimeStruct.Seconds = 0; LL_RTC_TIME_Init(RTC, LL_RTC_FORMAT_BCD, &RTC_TimeStruct); RTC_DateStruct.WeekDay = LL_RTC_WEEKDAY_TUESDAY; RTC_DateStruct.Month = LL_RTC_MONTH_JULY; RTC_DateStruct.Year = 21; LL_RTC_DATE_Init(RTC, LL_RTC

I have a hardware that have on stm32g071 chip and mcp9700 temperature sensor. I tried reading temperature and i read 2040.(ADC 12bit resolution).I also measured directly on hardware using multimeter and i read about 0.7 V So ADC measures wrong. Addition:I read temperature using nucleo board that have on g0 series microprocessor. Is it about hardware ? Any suggestion would be appriciate.

Hi,I have some questions regarding the implementation of an LCD with the STM32F479ii.The display we want to use, has a 800x480 resolution at 60Hz and can have either 16 or 24 bit color depth.A framebuffer for a display like that is of course not going to fit inside the 384kb of internal sram, so we will need external ram.I have read the application note on the LTDC (AN4861) and it does mention that the F479ii supports mapped QSPI sram, but nowhere does it mention using QSPI sram for the framebuffer.Of course QSPI will be slower than a parallel interface to the external ram, but QSPI certainly has a preference over the much simpler hardware design, even when comparing it to a 16 bit interface. So question 1: Is QSPI sram fast enough to be used for the framebuffer, considering that it would be used for nothing but the framebuffer (everything else runs in internal sram)? Then there is the interface to communicate with the display. The F4 supports both 24 bit parallel as well as MIPI DSI. I

I'm setting the FM_MODE bit in SYSCFG.MEMRMP and I get a hardware fault indicating attempted switch to invalid state.

Hello,I found this issue that seems that I still can't find the reason.I am using a STM32F750N8H6 (7BA3Z 9R 1), BGA package on a custom 6 layer board.I manufactured 11 boards, and within those 11, 8 of them the HSI seems to be at 18Mhz although the HSI is supposed to be at 16Mhz. 3 of them are at the described 16Mhz +/- usual tolerance. The support components are the ones recommended in the Hardware Guidelines from ST.Question : What external factors can affect the HSI to such high extent and with high consistency. The clock is quite stable and the MCU are all shifted nicely to 18Mhz internal clock. All the MCUs run fine otherwise, all peripherals, albeit all with wrong clocks, works no problem. The MCUs have been purchased at Mouser and assembled directly out of the box so no tampering before opening the vacuumed bag/tray.How I checked : I've checked several ways, the board having a USART 1 and CAN 1 /2 and several timer routed out, all indicate that the HSI is at 18Mhz ~ and 18.2 Mhz

I am using STM32F746G discovery board.~~~void HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart) {   HAL_UART_Receive_IT (&huart6, Rx_buff, USART_RX_BUFFER_SIZE);   HAL_Delay(500);   HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart6, &Rx_buff, USART_RX_BUFFER_SIZE, 1000);}~~~This is the way i am using USART6, TX and RX.here my doubt is, i fixed my USART_RX_BUFFER_SIZE =10.I send 10 bytes data via serial terminal(hercules), in this case my usart transmit also works with same 10 bytes data. But i send 9 bytes data means, the uart transmit is not transmit the 9 bytes data.my requirement is, how much amount of bytes received via UART_Receive(); , that amount of bytes, send via UART_Transmit();Thanks Manikandan D

When I use the 51 kernels, if I encounter too many defined variables, especially when there are more arrays, I can use xdata, idata to define variables, but I don't know if I can use them with STM32?

How do I implement a image progress without background?

Hello,I've spent quite a bit of time scratching my head and I would appreciate any guidance in this matter.I am using Segger's Embedded Studio with Segger's RTT printf library. Everything works fine with the Segger_RTT_printf() output. I can see the output it in the terminal, no issue. Segger also provides a SEGGER_RTT_Syscalls.c which implements the following so I can overload printf() function:#if (defined __GNUC__) && !(defined __SES_ARM) && !(defined __CROSSWORKS_ARM)   #include <reent.h> // required for _write_r #include "SEGGER_RTT.h"   struct _reent;   int _write(int file, char *ptr, int len); int _write_r(struct _reent *r, int file, const void *ptr, size_t len);   int _write(int file, char *ptr, int len) { (void) file; /* Not used, avoid warning */ SEGGER_RTT_Write(0, ptr, len); return len; }   int _write_r(struct _reent *r, int file, const void *ptr, size_t len) { (void) file; /* Not used, avoid warning */ (void) r; /* Not us

I'm at a loss to figure out this issue with this sensor box, STWINCSV1b. I can get almost all of the applications to build, run and install, I can send the sensor data to the SD files and stream via USB to a terminal and get the BT and WiFi to work. What I can't get to work is the actual cli_example application to connect to the device. I notice there is no device file generated when it's plugged in via the USB, but lsusb and the logs show the proper information: kernel: [259152.269021] usb 9-3: new full-speed USB device number 97 using ohci-pcikernel: [259152.472070] usb 9-3: New USB device found, idVendor=0483, idProduct=5743, bcdDevice= 2.00 kernel: [259152.472075] usb 9-3: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3 kernel: [259152.472078] usb 9-3: Product: STWIN Multi-Sensor Streaming kernel: [259152.472081] usb 9-3: Manufacturer: STMicroelectronics kernel: [259152.472083] usb 9-3: SerialNumber: 204E31845652Does the cli_example application use raw USB commands to acce

I'm trying to set up TIM2 timer on my NUCLEO-H743ZI2 board (STM32H743ZI MCU) to start TIM2 timer on a rising edge of a GPIO input pin. I'm using STM32CubeIDE with STM32CubeMx plugin. Is it possible to set up the hardware to start the timer automatically without calling HAL API to start the timer from the GPIO EXTI interrupt callback function? The timer seems to have lots of trigger inputs for this, but I'm not sure how to route GPIO inputs to timers. Thanks!

I am trying to import an Atollic TrueSTUDIO project to my stm32CubeIDE 1.7.0. But after clicking finish in the import wizard nothing happens and the project doesn't import.

Hello,I'm currently using STSW-ST25R011 firmware. At first, I was going to read/write with NFC type 2, but the firmware above is only read implemented, so I added Write.(The Write implementation was implemented using t2t.c in folder firmware/Middlewares/fw_3916).Tag was tested with NTAG215.It's normally read/write, but NFC V is a bit different from other NFC types 2!It can be configured as 4 bytes or 8 bytes per block. The tag I am currently using is EM|ECO 4425 and 8 bytes per block. Therefore, we thought that t2t.c above was not available, so we looked it up and tried to use iso15693_3.c in the same folder.Read is already implemented, so I'm trying to implement Write, but I'm curious to ask!1. Is it possible to write 8byte blocks in ST?2. It will be different for each Tag IC, but can I change the size per block to 4 bytes or 8 bytes directly?3. Do you have any books or links to study at NFC V?thanks !

Hi all,I am trying to write a linux user-space application where in i am taking data from an external MCU processing it and sending it to another thread. My question here is how can make use of DMA in the user-space to make it more efficient? How can i eliminate busy looping / waiting for transfer scenarios in user-space?Thanks,Nipun Pal

Hi, allI am trying to receive packet from uart3 and send them to uart2but the results of my trials are:transmit occurs every main cpu clocktransmit occur just oncewhich I thought was:receive packet from uart3 when packet arrived, independentlytransmit that packet once for every 65msMy problem is "once" and "every 65ms"void HAL_UART_TxCpltCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart) { HAL_DMA_Abort_IT(&huart2); } void HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart) { HAL_UART_Receive_DMA(&huart3, (uint8_t*)b, 2); } void HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim) { HAL_UART_Transmit_DMA(&huart2, (uint8_t*)b, 2); } HAL_UART_Receive_DMA(&huart3, (uint8_t*)b, 2);It's what I tried, "b" is uint8_t arrayThanks.

I'm trying to write a program to the microcontroller through the bootloader via the СAN interface.First I pass message ID 0x7f to activate bootloader. (ID=0x02, data=0x79)Then I transfer the file "E_W_ROUTINEs_128K_ver_2.0.s19" in binary form to address 0x000000A0 to enable write and erase commands. I transfer in blocks of 128 bytes. After transferring each block, I transmit the checksum and receive a positive response from the bootloader (ID=0x02, data=0x79)Then I send a command (ID 0x43) to erase all FLASH memory and EEPROM and specify 0xFF in the first byte. (I get 2 positive answers 0x79)Then I try to transfer the file of the new program to address 0x00008000 in the same way as the file "E_W_ROUTINEs_128K_ver_2.0", but after sending the first block of 128 bytes with a checksum, the bootloader does not respond.I cannot understand why the bootloader does not respond to an attempt to write to address 0x00008000. When a command with the ID 0x31 is sent with the address and the number o
