Is is possible to add STO functionality to the Powerstep01 by switching the VCC Line?

The idea is to switch the VCC Line with a FET to get STO (safe torque off) functionality. Is this possible or can this cause problems (cross current or similar)? In the attachment is an image of the Idea.

Hi @CKres.1 and welcome to the ST Community.

I suggest to add the FET between VS and VSREG.

In this way you remove the power of the gate drivers (VCC) and allow the device a more robust shutdown sequence thanks to the UVLO protection.
