I want to setup simple unit testing using something like tinytest or minctest running on the target processor. The idea is to have the application project and a test project in the same workspace. The test project will only implement a UART for reporting results and maybe some debug LEDs. It will run the unit test code that exercises functions in the application project. I want this to be as nonintrusive of the application code as possible. I don't want to do things like breakout the code to be tested into some kind of common code section... What is the best approach? I've tried setting up linked folders but I haven't been able to make that work. I don't think it matters but the application is a netxduo project.

I'm working with a system built around the STM32F767 which has 512kB of internal RAM, and 2MB internal Flash. There is no external RAM or Flash, so the entire application has to live within those resources. We are using RBG565 format with a 480x272 LTDC, and a single framebuffer of 255kB. Since both all the code and all the graphic images must fit into the 2M Flash, we must be quite careful to ensure that we remain within these limits. In general, a full-screen image will require app. 255kB of Flash. We're using TouchGFX Designer 4.17.0, STM32CubeIDE 1.7.0, and TouchGFX Generator 4.17.0.In the STM32CubeMX editor, a single buffer scheme is selected:In the resulting generated code, the frame buffer is declared in TouchGFXGeneratedHAL.cpp:namespace { // Use the section "TouchGFX_Framebuffer" in the linker to specify the placement of the buffer LOCATION_PRAGMA("TouchGFX_Framebuffer") uint32_t frameBuf[(480 * 272 * 2 + 3) / 4] LOCATION_ATTRIBUTE("TouchGFX_Framebuffer"); static uint16_t

Hello,I am using SPC584xx MCU for an automotive application. One requirement in the project is to wake up the ECU when the analog voltage value read by the ADC crosses a threshold.Is this requirement possible to be implemented using SPC584xx MCU? Is there any application reference available for this use case?Thanks in advance!Best regards,Sreejith

3 Powersteps -> 3 steppingmotors for X, Y and Z axes, voltage mode.Is there a way to switch cleanly between MOVE and RUN commands?Currently, when I execute RUN command after MOVE movement, motors move too slowly. Although I change the speed (target - acceleration from 0 to 1200 RPM).MOVE alone works fine, RUN curves without MOVE also clean.Of course I wait for SMCMD_READY, and only then I send next command with SPI.

Hi,the same question was already reported in this topic some years ago.https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X00009Xkh0DSAR/bluenrg-missing-le-advertising-report-eventI have the same problem: if I use HCI standard commands, (HCI_LE_SET_SCAN_PARAMETERS & HCI_LET_SET_SCAN_ENABLE) I'm not receiving LE advertising report event.I'm usign a x-nucleo-bnrg2a1 board w/ BlueNRG GUI 4.2 to send HCI command.Question: is it possible to use RAW HCI standard commands or only ACI commands are implemented? I'm getting correctly HCI_COMMAND_COMPLETE_EVENT but no LE advertising report event.This is my setup:BlueNRG-2 HW 1.2BlueNRG-2 FW v2.1e - DTM SPI v3.3.0Motherboard FW v1.6Alessandro

Good Day, I got myself a pair of LoRa-E5 mini which has STM32WLE5JC single-core. I would like to program them in a way in which they would communicate by using a channel and address id to each other. kindly give me a refernce to how to program them in cube ide. I have referred to other example materials on LoRa-WAN, sigfox & sub-GHz ping-pong. but i would like a simple way as I mentioned above.

With the ICD I found that sometimes, between the MDMA IRQ Handler - where the QSPI TCIE bit is set, and the QUADSPI_IRQHandler, the TCIE bit is cleared. But I haven't been able to determine where or how it is being cleared; I've eliminated all locations in code related to the QUADSPI->CR.1) So the first question is why can't I see where the TCIE bit is being cleared? Or what exactly is doing it.I recently discovered that my issue goes away by making the QUADSPI IRQ and MDMA IRQ the same priority, while making the MDMA sub priority higher (logically) than the QUADSPI IRQ. Before: MDMA - priority 14, sub 0, QUADSPI - priority 15, sub 0After: Both priority 14, MDMA sub 0, QUADSPI sub 12) Second question is how is this priority change solving the problem?

Hi,I'm trying to set the GPO static register to 0xF1 to get corresponding interrupts.I am presenting the password first and then configuring GPO register at address 0000.Here is the program-NFCTAG_StatusTypeDef Set_GPO_reg(uint16_t flags) // Here flags=0xF1 {   ext_drv=BSP_NFCTAG_GetExtended_Drv();   ST25DV_PASSWD pwd; ST25DV_I2CSSO_STATUS security_status;   pwd.MsbPasswd=0x00000000; pwd.LsbPasswd=0x00000000;   ext_drv->ReadI2CSecuritySession_Dyn(&security_status); ESP_LOGI("Security session","security session before presenting pwd is %d", security_status);   while (ext_drv->PresentI2CPassword(pwd) != NFCTAG_OK);   ext_drv->ReadI2CSecuritySession_Dyn(&security_status); ESP_LOGI("Security session","security session after presenting pwd is %d", security_status);   while (BSP_NFCTAG_ConfigIT(condition) != NFCTAG_OK);   return NFCTAG_OK; }I am reading security session before and after presenting password. I'm correctly se

Posted on March 10, 2018 at 12:57I am trying to program my STM32F103C8T6 from ST link utility but it is showing 'Some Flash Pages are write protected'error while performing full chip erase. I want to program a double word (a calibration value) at the top of internal flash (STM32G03x) without erasing the entire page first. I understand that only 1's can be set to 0, not vice versa. It may be assumed that the address in question already contains all F's and that once written, it doesn't need to be written again. I am able to erase a page and write a double word without problems as in the code below, but if I want to write a single value without having erased immediately prior, I get a flash error =8 (Flash SR = Bit 3 PROGERR: Programming error) The question is - is there any way to unlock the MCU in such a way it's OK to program the single double word ? (the option bits are set to no protection){ HAL_FLASH_Unlock(); // Erase top 2K page (64K device) FLASH_EraseInitTypeDef eraseStruct = { .TypeErase = FLASH_TYPEERASE_PAGES, .Banks = FLASH_BANK_1, .Page = 31, .NbPages = 1 };   uint32_t error; HAL_FLASHEx_Erase(&eraseStruct, &error); ///<< I don't wa

Hello Community,i have the strange behavior that the Clockswitch to HSE does not work in STM32L051. __HAL_RCC_SYSCLK_CONFIG(RCC_ClkInitStruct->SYSCLKSource);   /* Get Start Tick */ tickstart = HAL_GetTick();   if(RCC_ClkInitStruct->SYSCLKSource == RCC_SYSCLKSOURCE_HSE) { while (__HAL_RCC_GET_SYSCLK_SOURCE() != RCC_SYSCLKSOURCE_STATUS_HSE) { if((HAL_GetTick() - tickstart ) > CLOCKSWITCH_TIMEOUT_VALUE) { return HAL_TIMEOUT; } } }I always hit the Timeout value due to RCC->CFGR->SW will never be set to "8"."8" means External Highspeed Oscillator.A check of the SFRs shows me that RCC->CFGR->SW has a width of 2Bits but i need at least the 3 Bits for value "8".RCC->CR-> HSERDY and HSEON shows "1" as expected and is measure 8 MHz Oscillator Frequency switched On.  Thanks for all answers in advanceBR'sMartin

I have this functions to work with:void write8(uint8_t reg, uint32_t value)read8(uint8_t reg)I am a newbie when it comes to c programming and have little knowledge when it comes to registers and how to write and read them. Right now the functions look something like this:void Adafruit_TCS34725::write8(uint8_t reg, uint32_t value) { uint8_t buffer[2] = {TCS34725_COMMAND_BIT | reg, value & 0xFF}; i2c_dev->write(buffer, 2); }   uint8_t Adafruit_TCS34725::read8(uint8_t reg) { uint8_t buffer[1] = {TCS34725_COMMAND_BIT | reg}; i2c_dev->write_then_read(buffer, 1, buffer, 1); return buffer[0]; }Please help :(

Hi,I'm using OpenST-linux version 4.9 on a STM32MP157c-ev1 and I wrote a simple script to run my firmware for Core M4. I would like to know how I can make the script run automatically after system boot.Here's my script if could of any help for answers, I wrote it following this guide, I tested it launching manually and it works, but now I would like to it runs automatically after system finishes booting. Hello!I own an STM32F769I-DISCO board and I have just read that it is already possible to use a serial Wi-Fi module (called ESP8266-01). However, I have been wondering for some days whether it is also possible to use a 4G communication module with this board. I truly thank you in advance for your help!Lleyton
