Trying to identify the best temperature profile to ensure an optimum solder flow and resulting solder connection.

Hi everyone,I'm new to using STM32MP1, in particular I bought a STM32MP157A-DK1 and I wanted to know if it was feasible to load Linux with the classic GUI, open a TCP-IP server and run some python code that I had already developed.Thank you all

Hi,I am working on ST25DV64KC NFC chip. I am trying to write system configuration memory from i2c.Steps:1) I have opened i2c security session by sending present password command. I have read I2C_SSO_Dyn register from dynamic register memory and its returning '0x01' means the i2c security session is correctly open.2) After that I tried to change byte value of LOCK_CFG register to 0x01 by keeping first 14 bytes as it is and 15th byte which is LOCK_CFG to 0x01 using i2c block write.3) I have read system configuration registers from ST25 NFC tap android app but LOCK_CFG value is not updated to 0x01.4) For user memory I am able to read and write from i2c side correctly. I am also able to read system configuration memory correctly but failed to write.Note from datasheet:I2C security session must first be open, by presenting a valid I2C password, to grant write access to system configuration registersWhat could be the cause? Am I following correct procedure to write in system configuration?

As I said, I get the assertion "zigbee_app_info.colorControl_server_2 != NULL" failed error from a standard debug function in the code.I thought it could have something to do with this struct, which is a bit above it.struct ZbColorClusterConfig colorServerConfig_2 = { .callbacks = ColorServerCallbacks_2, .capabilities = ZCL_COLOR_CAP_HS, }I feel like it has to be something I have to add here because this struct is checked to be NULL, but I can't seem to find what it is I have to add.The place where the struct is set to something other than NULL is here:zigbee_app_info.colorControl_server_2 = ZbZclColorServerAlloc(zigbee_app_info.zb, SW2_ENDPOINT, zigbee_app_info.onOff_server_2, NULL, 0, &colorServerConfig_2, NULL);From what I could gather, this would allocate the space needed, but I guess something goes wrong and no memory is allocated.This error occurs every time I start a new project and add the color control cluster. So it happens even when I haven't added anything.

I've struggled with this for a few days and read a dozen forum posts that end unanswered.I am trying to put my micro controller into standby mode and then wake it up with an IMU pulling the PA0/SYS_WKUP1 pin high. What I am finding, which is somewhat corroborated by the reference manual, is that PA0 is pulling low harder than my IMU can pull high.The IMU is a BMX160 that is programmable and doesnt require continuous communication with the MCU, it is designed to provide wakeup interrupts for smart watches and wearables. What I have seen is that I am able to pull the WKUP pin High while the device is in normal mode, but not when it is in standby mode. I have triggered an interrupt just before going into standby and watched the pin state go low prematurely. I have made the wkup pin go high while in sleep mode, but gave up on sleep mode after realizing that wakeup and sleep aren't related. I'm wondering if i am either configuring my standby wrong or the wakeup wrong, I am using Cube_IDE an

Hi all,I'm trying to use a version of the elua interpreter on a stm32f446re nucleo board.I've encountered a problem, the program is jumping on an infinite loop after entering a couple of functions of the interpreter. The system is blocking in an WWDG_IRQHandler set to the default irq handler that is a infinite loop, here's the code where it's blocked:/** * @brief This is the code that gets called when the processor receives an * unexpected interrupt. This simply enters an infinite loop, preserving * the system state for examination by a debugger. * @param None * @retval None */ .section .text.Default_Handler,"ax",%progbits Default_Handler: Infinite_Loop: b Infinite_Loop .size Default_Handler, .-Default_HandlerThe debugger can't find the source of the interrupt in the stack trace. Debugging the C code I discovered that the program blocks inside an obscure call to a function pointer, so I tried to debug directly the asm code to find out exactly where the code is blocking and I

Same situation as before - using a STM32MP157C based design + KSZ9021GN PHY but now actually wired for MII mode. Previous board was wired for GMII mode, even verified by Microchip/Micrel, not realizing the MPU did not support that mode (should have checked with CubeMX!) . So, we made the change to actually MII wiring into a different but similar board being designed at the time. That board is now being brought up. Again, PHY issue, but different this time and I hope its not another design error. I suppose there could be an assembly problem of course. I only have one board currently to test. Here is the TL;DR of the bootup relating to ethernet. Note "device missing", and we are at address 3. ... I bought an X-NUCLEO-LPM01A that works very well on windows 8 with the STM32 Cube Monitor-Power software. I had to put the driver STSW-STM32102. Then, I tried on Windows 10. However, with Windows 10, it is written that this driver (STSW-STM32102) should not be installed because it is natively included in windows 10. But, the STM32 Cube Monitor-Power software cannot communicate with the board... I had to download the driver STSW-STM32102 made for win8 despite it being discouraged. It works on win10 only with the Win8 driver (for me at least).Is it normal ? Thank you

Hi,I'm computing CRC32 with 04C11DB7 polynomial with different methods : through python binascii.crc32(...), on the following website " https://simplycalc.com/crc32-text.php ", and with ST embedded module on STM32G483.On basic strings such as "0123456789", i get the same CRC from the python library and the website but not from ST (python/web : 2 793 719 750; ST : 4 171 674 919).I enabled ST CRC through CubeMX with a config as in the linked pic, and call it in my code as the following : uint8 data[] = "0123456789"; uint32 crc = HAL_CRC_Calculate(&hcrc, (uint32*)data, 10u);I tried modifying the output and intput data inversion, changing the string and its size, but I can never get the same result as the python/web one which always get the same. I don't really get what could be happening here.Any idea where I could be going wrong? Thank you for your time.

Hi,I am trying to read the MAC address from a BlueNRG device (345) after setting it via the RF Flasher Tool. However, the corresponding changes are not visible in the advertising parameters. I have used aci_hal_read_config_data() but still no output.The code is  ret = aci_hal_read_config_data(CONFIG_DATA_STORED_STATIC_RANDOM_ADDRESS, (uint8_t*)6, readAddr);I have set the mac address 0x000000000 currently using the tool at a flash address: Base address + flash image + a little offset.Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hello,I am having some issues with adding SMT32CubeExpansion_Crypto_V4.0.1 to my stmcube environment. I am using stm cube 6.4. I go to Software Packs > Manage Software Packs > From Local... and then I point to SMT32CubeExpansion_Crypto_V4.0.1.zip, which was directly provided by ST.I get an error popup saying "This file is either corrupted or not a recognized package". See the screenshots attached.Am I missing any steps? Could someone please point me to the correct way of importing this package?Thank you.

I am trying to read 2 channel ADC with STM32L011F4.My ADC and DMA settings in cubemx are as follows my problem is that the DMA only returns the low 8 bit of the last channel.uint16_t ADC_Reads[2] = {0};   while (1) { HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc,(uint32_t *)ADC_Reads,2); HAL_Delay(1000); }When I write the following code in the DMA IRQ handler, I can read the values.uint16_t ADCReads[2]; char i=0; void DMA1_Channel1_IRQHandler(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN DMA1_Channel1_IRQn 0 */ ADCReads[i] = hadc.Instance->DR; i = 1-i; /* USER CODE END DMA1_Channel1_IRQn 0 */ HAL_DMA_IRQHandler(&hdma_adc); /* USER CODE BEGIN DMA1_Channel1_IRQn 1 */   /* USER CODE END DMA1_Channel1_IRQn 1 */ }EWARM live watch screen looks like below

Hi,I want to perform the SSP process as detailed at:https://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/an5510-overview-of-the-secure-secret-provisioning-ssp-on-stm32mp1-series-stmicroelectronics.pdf(I also went over the STM32_prog documents)I am now trying to program my HSMv2 card and I don't understand which file I need to provide in "Personalization data file"(Trusted Package Creator - HSM Tab)There are 2 options:STM32MP1_5000200A_SSP_01000000_00000000.enc.binSTM32MP1_5000300A_SSP_01000000_00000000.enc.binI don't understand which one I need to pickmy MPU is "STM32MP157CAB3" (Rev Z)is it 5000300 because of the "3" after the "CAB" ?The "5000" part I understand, I can see this value in the DFU device infoThe "200" vs "300" I don't understandAccording to the Docs, I need to know the product ID of my MPUAnd they suggest using "STM32_Programmer_CLI –c port=swd –gc "certificate.bin"" to find out this valuebut this command is failing:"an error occurred while uploading data from the virtual part

I'm debugging a problem on the target. The data I want to examine is in an array and can be easily seen in the Debugger console using "print output_data". I'd like this in a file to facilitate further host processing. When using gdb standalone I can do this with "set logging file my_log.txt" but this doesn't appear to work with GDB within STM32CubeIDE. I'm having to resort to copy and paste which works but is a bit tedious.

When I analyze a code that another guy made, I want to track where a function is used.I can see the definition of a function using open declaration but I cannot see where the function is used.STM32 has so many files. So, I cannot search for each of them.Could you explain the way to see where the function is used?

Various STM32 products have opamps that have a mux in front of it.Ex: STM32G4, STM32F3, STM32H7 series, etc.If I change the mux input setting using the control status register (OPAMPx_CSR::VP_SEL or VN_SEL), how long does it take for the mux to switch to the new setting?The datasheet doesn't have this information.

Hello Community,I've B-U585I-IOT02A. I got this with pre installed web-server with react client. Whenever I was connecting it with terminal like tera term or minicom. It ask for configuring the wifi after successful configuration, it start the simple website at local wifi ip and show the graphs for sensors data.I was trying to find how we can read data of sensor from the Board for that I go through STM32CubeIDE. I generated the code for board with model name B-U585I-IOT02A . I click on build and run it ask to connect st link. I connect the board B-U585I-IOT02A . It shows the logs successfully downloaded and verified.After this when Now I'm connecting the board using st link to terminal like tera term or minicom. It doesn't seems to work. I try to flash it with webserver firmware using tutorial available on :https://medium.com/@vimalkumar.parthasarathy/demonstration-of-web-server-using-mxchip-wi-fi-module-in-stm32u5-b-u585i-iot02a-evaluation-board-7c7047a3412bBut after flashin

The board is a STEVAL-PTOOL1V1. The setup was tried on different boards.The programmer board used is a STLINK-V3SET.I followed the instructions on the `Getting started` document of the STEVAL-PTOOL1V1.I power the board through J1 and J2 with a power supply supplying 12V. I connected J8 with a jumper.I connected the SWD pins to the STLINKS.Here is the setup and the documentation for the SWD connector of the PTOOL1V1. In order to communicate with the board, I tried:- Uploading the example project of the STEVAL-PTOOL1V1 by clicking on the debbuger icon of the CubeIDE- Clicking "Connect" in STM32CubeProgrammer- Clicking "Connect to the target" in STM32 ST-LINK Utility- Using the Open source version of the STMicroelectronics STLINK Tools : stlinkHere are the errors messages for the first three:```STMicroelectronics ST-LINK GDB server. I have this little project for the STM8L101F3 that just writes an arbitrary value to TIM2_CCR1H and TIM2_CCR1L and then tries to start the timer but I get nothing from the timer output.If I run the project with a debugger and inspect the contents of the registers, I find them unchanged. I tried this with IAR Embedded Workbench under Windows 10 and with sdcc/openocd/stm8-gdb under Ubuntu 20.04LTS and I see the same behaviour. I am using one of those generic STLINK-V2 dongles.I have another project that just toggles an IO and it works fine. I am just having trouble with TIM2.So just yesterday I received a brand new STM8L-Discovery. I then downloaded en-stsw-stm8008.zip from st.com and unzipped it.When I hook up the discovery board to my PC and run the IAR* project "Discovery", and while the debugger is stopped at main(), I open up a view registers window and bring up TIM2. When I try to modify any of the registers, they just stay at zero.What am I missing?*IAR EW STM8 V2.20.2

Hello. I've been trying to make the ADC work in my stm32mp157f-ev1 board. It is my understanding that I need BSP to make it work because when I disabled BSP in the ADC example code I noticed receiving the same result as my code. When I try to add the BSP files provided in the mp1 package I get errors saying that the I2C_HandleTypeDef is not defined. I tried to work around the issue but to no avail. Is there something I'm missing that I should do or what? Thanks for any help provided
