Hello,I've created a new project and it seems like code wasn't generated as it should.Modified only clock configuration and added FREERTOS to my project.I think here tasks should be started, instead I have duplicate for header:Is it normal, have I missed something?Best regards,Krzysztof

I need S10 flasher tool to program my ST10 chip

Hello,I have read hall_CAN.c instructions and did everything that is stated there. In CubeIDE I have set Prescaler to 24 and both Quantas to 4 times. My Baud Rate is 250000 bit/s. I am using two same boards (Nucleo 746ZG) with CAN bus transciver MPC2551. After setting up everything board didn't want to send any can message. After some trouble shooting I have managed to find a bug in HAL library. Now I can send messages but I cannot receive them. I have logic analizer so I can check this data. I think there is a problem in inicialization since I cannot get any message in FIFO callback. Everytime I check there is 0 messages pending. I cannot figure this out so hopefully someone smarter can help resolve this issue. Thanks!

I plan to use STM32H745BIT6 which has 2 cores M7 and M4. The end application is high end graphics with 800x480resolution 16bpp and TouchGFX.It seems the Core M4 has the ART accelerator and not M7?So Which core is recomemded for use considiering the end application will have high end graphics?ThanksAnuj

I've got a working example that builds from the sdk with the classic project structure:../Core/Inc : Contains header files from SDKs Firmware/Eval/Inc and Firmware/Inc (i.e. both adc.h and adc_driver.h which is likely not correct)../Core/Src: Contains src files from Firmware/Eval/Src and Firmware/Srcwithin the project I also have the ioc file. Here is a quick look at the structure:However, *any* changes to the IOC breaks the entire project. So how do I properly set up the project/structure or import the SDK firmware to be able to use the .ioc with the auto generation? Is that even possible with the files provided by ST?Thanks.

Hello,I need to keep alive an RTC when the system is rebooted and I see there is VBAT pin in the MCU->Nucleo board which I understand is made for it. What I don't understand however is if in the Nucleo I should take out the 0Ohm resistor on SB52 or not to have it working. Can someone give me the info? Thanks,Filippo

Hello,I hope you are doing well today. I have been working on a project that makes use of the M24256-DRMN8TP/K IC EEPROM product that STMicroelectronics manufacters. The project we are working on uses a Dialog DA14531 BLE chip. Recently I have been attempting to program the EEPROM through Renesas SmartSnippets_Toolbox however am running into a bit of a snag. The problem may fall with the DA14531 chip or software itself however, I would like to ensure that all possible reasons for the errors are covered. I just want to make sure that the configuration and setup I have for the EEPROM are correct. For the I2C configuration written in C. This is done in SmartSnippets Studio#define I2C_EEPROM_DEV_SIZE  0x20000        // EEPROM size in bytes#define I2C_EEPROM_PAGE_SIZE  256          // EEPROM page size in bytes#define I2C_SLAVE_ADDRESS 0x50      &nb

I have ST10F276 Controller but I am unable to Program after making P0L.4 to GND and P0l.5 to VCC and Reseting the controller.I have tried with ST Flasher 2.3C ToolPlease Provide ST10Flasher 2.4B or Above softwares

Hi everyone,I have ST25DV16KC. I want to transfer data and upgrade firmware with FTM mode. I am sending data with CR95HF reader. The data I send to the mailbox gets corrupted after a certain byte and continues to be corrupted. The screenshot below can also be viewed. Why did this happen? can you help me?

In a STM32 project using FREERTOS with CMSIS V2, there is not automatic generation of thread creation calls in main function, likedefaultTaskHandle = osThreadNew(StartDefaultTask, NULL, &defaultTask_attributes);Is it supposed to be the programmer who now has to add these instructions, or can STM32CubeIDE be instructed to generate this code automatically, as in previous versions?

I am currently working on a touch screen for one of our products. I built an LCD intel 8080 driver with the FMC and it's not working with DMA.The image is only partially flushed to the screen. It seems that there is some kind of limits to the transfer size that i don't know of ?The use of the DMA is major to our application performance as printing a full screens takes 22ms in blocking mode.I use a Frame buffer of 307200B the size of the screen. In the below example, code structure doesn't allow differences in the buffer data used by the API DMA/NODMA.WITHOUT DMA-Code:CONFIGURATION RUNHAL_StatusTypeDef res = HAL_SRAM_Write_8b(&hsram1, (uint32_t *)FMC_DATA_ADDR, (uint8_t *)buffer, len); ASSERT(res==HAL_OK);-Display: WITH DMA-Code:CONFIGURATION INITThis is the only configuration Added to the gpma.c /* USER CODE BEGIN GPDMA1_Init 2 */ __HAL_LINKDMA(&hsram1, hdma, DMA_TFT_CHANNEL_HANDLE); /* USER CODE END GPDMA1_Init 2 */CB/* USER CODE BEGIN 0 */ #include "gpdma.h"

I'm designing a board G4 MCU and want to be able to power the board from USB C as well as debug or program the board. Is it possible to program the MCU via the USB C or usb 2.0 interface? If not, and I have to use SWD, what would i need in order to program the board? Would i need a dedicated MCU like the NUCLEO board or would i use need some kind of USB to JTAG/SWD cable connected to the CLK and IO pins?If power is being delivered via USB C how might I use this tho power the rest of the board and not just the MCU?I tried using this post as reference to get a better understanding.https://community.st.com/s/feed/0D53W000007zVncSAE

Hello,I have built a custom image using the Yocto project in the Dunfull branch. However, when I try to upload my code to M4 Core in production mode, it shows me this error message. However, I am able to connect to my board through SSH. So I believe it is not a connection issue, and I have tested on the STM32MP157C-DK2 and it does not work either.I have tested the same procedure on openstlinux Yocto Dunfull, and it worked fine. I am thinking that something is missing in kernel configurations.I am using Linux version 5.10.116 (oe-user@oe-host) (arm-poky-linux-gnueabi-gcc (GCC) 9.3.0 , GNI ld (GNU biutiles) . 2.34.0.020200910 ) #1 SMP PREEMPT sun May 15 18:00:09 UTC 2022

Hello,My setup is as follows: I have an STM32F469I MCU connected (via SN65HVD230 CAN Board) to the CAN bus of an STM32MP157c-EV1 MPU board which is running Debian. My goal is to make the MCU send CAN frames periodically to the MPU, and with the CAN Utils on the MPU to receive and transmit to the MCU (candump and cansend). With the code I am attaching, I am able to transmit from the MCU and receive (candump) in the MPU, but when I transmit (cansend) from MPU to MCU the Rx Interrupt never seems to trigger (I have enabled CAN RX0 and CAN RX1 interrupts in the .ioc, as well as activated notifications in the code). Is something wrong with the code or is my logic flawed? Why does the interrupt never trigger?

using STM32CubeIDE, the ETH and LWIP are enabled, but no init file eth.c generated. The main.c includes MX_LWIP_Init(), but not MX_ETH_Init().Is it right? Thanks.JYI

Hi,I am attempting to jump to system memory to be able to update the firmware via UART. Due to design constraints, BOOT0 pin will not an option for accessing the bootloader thus jumping to system memory within the application is needed.I'm using the following code to jump to system memory: __enable_irq(); HAL_RCC_DeInit(); HAL_DeInit(); SysTick->CTRL = 0; SysTick->LOAD = 0; SysTick->VAL = 0;   __HAL_SYSCFG_REMAPMEMORY_SYSTEMFLASH();   const uint32_t p = (*((uint32_t*) 0x1FFF0000)); __set_MSP( p );   void (*SysMemBootJump)(void); SysMemBootJump = (void (*)(void)) (*((uint32_t *) 0x1FFF0004)); SysMemBootJump();In AN2606 there is a note for MCUs that use the dual bank feature, I believe this is the part that is preventing the system from bootloading correctly. I jump to system memory in main() and using STM32CubeProgrammer attempt to connect via UART. However, it timeouts since there is no response from the ST chip.I've tried this code both on my dev kit and custom

STM32CubeIDEVersion: 1.9.0Build: 12015_20220302_0855 (UTC)Processor: STM32H7My issue is when i start debugging my project, it crashes while configuring my System Clock Config, but there is no real error. The debug just says "Target Lost" and tries to reconnect but cannot. It always crashes at lineMODIFY_REG(RCC->CFGR, RCC_CFGR_SW, RCC_ClkInitStruct->SYSCLKSource);What is interesting is it works fine on my nucleo (STM32H743) but not on my board I layed out. So that would seem to point to a hardware issue on my side, but what could that be? I tried pulling the crystal (x3) off the nucleo just to see if it would cause the same problem, it still runs (granted the application part doesnt but thats to be expected). Anyone seen this issue before?

Hi team,I am developing our PCB referring to the "STM32MP157 EVAL"(MB1263-C04 Board schematic).https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/stm32mp157f-ev1.html#cad-resourcesIn the datasheet, VREF+ looks like a voltage output pin, but why is power supply connected to VREF+ in STM32MP157 EVAL?Best regard,

Hi team,I'm developing a our PCB equipped with STM32MP151AAA3.Are the following pins named "Unused" okay to remain open?VDD_UnusedVDD1V2_UnusedVDDA1V8_UnusedBest regard,

Hi team,I am developing the board referring to the "STM32MP157 EVAL"(MB1263-C04 Board schematic).https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/stm32mp157f-ev1.html#cad-resourcesSTM32MP157 EVAL has an SD card slot and eMMC as storage media.I think the sample Linux environment (demo environment) is stored in the SD card, but is eMMC necessary?(If an SD card is installed, is it not necessary to install eMMC?)Best regard,

Hi,I'm working on a design with a STPM33. The application only needs to measure current on a single phase but, as STPM33 seems cheaper than STPM32, this was the chosen IC.  Could I remove C27 and C28 if the second channel is not used? If yes, could I let the VREF2 floating or should I do something with it?Thanks for your help.

Hi,I am using TouchGFX with a STM32F4 MCU that is working pretty great and is quite awesome :)!I am running into an issue where when transitioning (cover transition) from one screen to the other, the upper part of the screen is flickering the lower part seems ok.When displaying a static screen, everything is perfect.I am not sure that comes from TouchGFX though... (maybe it is a screen issue)Here is my setup :The screen is connected using the RGB interface 16 bit at 6.35MHzThe screen is a DT028CTFT The frame buffer is internal in a dedicated 164KB memory bank inside the STM32F4I am using the DMA2D with the LTDC built in controllersI do not use double frame buffer nor animation storage (maybe here is the issue?)I don't really know what kind of other information I could provide that can be useful here, please feel free to ask for more information. Thanks in advance for the help,AM.

It is doing exactly what I want, It is ramping up the frequency at the start, staying steady for some period of time, and then ramping down. In my case, I need up to 38400 steps. And I want to count steps, not time. My first thought was to have a big array (my STM32L443 has 64k RAM) and just load each step time in it so it ramps up at the start, keeps loading the same data through the middle and then ramps down at the end with one array. I was having problems trying to figure out how they kept the clock symmetrical. (I am not really familiar with TIM2.) After wading through the code, I found the output was toggled, and they had 2 identical data points for each cycle. One for the low part and one for the high part. So now my data set just doubled in size. That will not work. I do not have enough memory with 64k. I am driving the STCK pin on the L6474 and it can go to 2 MHz max, The datasheet does not say anything about whether it has to be symmetric (whether the high time must be the sa
