Hello, I am facing problems with DMA and DCMI . Since DMA has ability to generate multiple block transfers with single configuration, it means i can transfer image larger that 0xFFFF.So I writen code that would repat my DMA transfer for as much line as I have in my image, and transfer size would be one line pixel count.I configured sensor for 304x304 image, and with DMA i get transfered exactly 304*304 of u16 data ( I prealod array with 0xFFFF and see where tranfer is ended)What is strange, what data alignment is completely incorrect, while with FPGA, image is perfect and looks as expected ( i have one big light source in the middle)This is my DMA code in LLLL_AHB1_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_AHB1_GRP1_PERIPH_GPDMA1);   LL_DMA_SetChannelPriorityLevel(GPDMA1,LL_DMA_CHANNEL_12,LL_DMA_HIGH_PRIORITY);   DMA1_TR1 = LL_DMA_DEST_ALLOCATED_PORT0|LL_DMA_DEST_HALFWORD_PRESERVE|LL_DMA_DEST_BYTE_PRESERVE|LL_DMA_SRC_BYTE_PRESERVE|LL_DMA_DEST_INCREMENT|LL_DMA_DEST_DATAWIDTH_WORD|LL_DMA_SRC_ALLOCAT

I am wanting to design a device that incorporates several TOF sensors in a uni-dimensional array for detecting an objects location. The sensors would have approximately 8mm of separation. Will they interfere with one another?

Hello,my system is based on an STM32MP151x, running embedded Linux (Buildroot generated + all the ST patches, v5.3.56). I am suing an SPI connection to an external hardware but so far, i am not able to set the SPI clock to 20MHz and higher.Looking at the code (spidev, spi) it looks like the controller is just picking the default value (12 MHz) whatever the value i am using in my IOCTL call (i am using user space spidev ioctl to setup the SPI).Is there a specific DTS section i might have omitted which would allow me to setup these higher SPI speeds ?Thanks,Jacques

we need to know that how to increase the log value in the "PLS UDE " we are currently using the SPC56P board and spc5studio along with that we are using UDE STK 5.2 for the flashing.

Hi ST community! My name is Vincenzo I would like to supply my NUCLEO-F303K8 with an external supply Voltage of +5V. I prepared a Test Project which control the LED3 to blink with a certain frequency. When I supply the NUCLEO through the VIN pin or through USB connector I see the LED3 blinks, but when I provide +5V through the 5V pin I cannot see the LED3 blinks. What am I doing wrong?I read the UserManual UM1956 and I cannot understand the reason why I cannot see the LED3 blinks. In this UM I read this procedure:VIN or +5 V power supplyWhen powered from VIN or +5 V, it is still possible to use ST-LINK for communication for programming or debugging only, but it is mandatory to power the board first, using VIN or +5 V, then to connect the USB cable to the PC. By this way the enumeration will succeed anyway, thanks to the external power source. The following power sequence procedure must be respected:1. Check that SB1 is off2. Connect the external power source to VIN or +5 V3. Power on the

Posted on November 30, 2017 at 21:45I have developed a program that runs on the STM32L432 Nucleo-32. When I write the program to the demo board using the USB everything works great. When I remove the USB cable and connect 5V/GND to the board, L2 goes red but the program doesn't run (I have the green LED flash). If I plug the USB cable in after powering up the board, the program does start to run. If I run the exact same program on my STM32476 Nucleo-64, the program runs fine (power jumper JP5 set to E5V). There is no mention of additional settings in the manual or datasheet for the STM32432. Any thoughts on this issue? What is the difference in powering the two demo boards?

Hello everyone, I am implementing a DMX interface on a STM32G071K8. You will find information about DMX here: https://www.thedmxwiki.com/dmx_basics/dmx_timingAn UART interface is used to get DMX data. • I am used to use the Frame Error detection flag as a “Break? detection (BREAK is a low state of 88us minimum on the transmission line) •Then I launch the DMA to get the full frame. •The next frame error or the idle (frame error is more accurate for DMX) might be used as end of frame. The break timing I have is 200us which should be more than enought to set the Frame error flag of the UART (set with 2 stop bytes and 250 000 baud)In my code I make an IO toggle in order to see the signal synchronisation on an oscilloscope.UART, Clock (default 16Mhz) and one test output IO are configured with STMCube. I use the following interrupt function: void USART3_4_LPUART1_IRQHandler(void){     volatile static uint8_t uartData;     if((USART3->ISR

Which Cluster may use to send and receive data or string between Router and Coord? And how do I coding for that.Thank you.

Hello,We are using STM32L412 RTC with STM32CubeIDE.Previously we are usingCrystal - 32.768 Khz SMD Crystal YXC YSX306GA 8.0 x 3.8 mmload capacitance - 10pf 0805In Previous Crystal we get about 6 seconds of RTC drift,to solve this issue, study the application note AN2867 : https://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/cd00221665-oscillator-design-guide-for-stm8afals-stm32-mcus-and-mpus-stmicroelectronics.pdfand from this used below setup:Crytsal - ABRACON ABS25-32.768KHZ-6-T Crystal, 32.768 kHz, SMD, 8mm x 3.8mm, 20 ppmload capacitance - 6pF 0805But In new setup we are getting 24-30 seconds of drifiting. As we are following all guidlines mention in application notes, as compared to previous crystal, but getting more rtc drift (almost 4 time of previous rtc drift)Please help us to solve this issue.Thank You

Heyho,I was just trying to check awake vs sleep in my H723 application (no OS), so I wanted to make sure that my code is okay. It's using the cycle counter to measure all the cycles when the CPU is NOT sleeping, then compares the cycle sum to the SysTicks (1 ms).So please have a look if I did something wrong - because I was surprised about the results. When doing audio streaming via lwIP's TCP, it's about 50% sleeping at maximum bandwidth (~50Mbit/s), when streaming is off sleep percentage goes up to 98%.Here's where the cycle counter is recorded:/* +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ */ /* MSTATE_IDLE: * CPU enters SLEEP mode to make room for DMA transfers */ case MSTATE_IDLE: { #if DEBUG_CPU_TIMING u32CycFuncStop = DWT->CYCCNT; u32CycFuncSum[15] = u32CycFuncStop - u32CycFuncStrtWake; u64CycSumFunc[15] += (uint64_t)u32CycFuncSum[15]; if( (u32CycFuncSum[15] > u32CycFuncMax[15]) && (u32CycFuncStrtWake != 0) ) u32CycFuncMax[15] = u32Cy

Hi, I'm writing a simple uart controlled oscillator. However when Including std::string, basic_string.h and stl_iterator.h causes several errors.it almost looks like something is not included, like remove_const_t add_const_t etc..In these errors, GLIBC THROW is used against c++17 spec, it's strange since the project was generated by the STM32CubeIDE, and I'd assume the accompanying library would be compatible with the c++ standard set as default by the same ide.Errors In question:c:\st\stm32cubeide_1.12.0\stm32cubeide\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.10.3-2021.10.win32_1.0.200.202301161003\tools\arm-none-eabi\include\c++\10.3.1\bits\stl_iterator.h:2307:26: error: 'remove_const_t' does not name a type 2307 | using __iter_key_t = remove_const_t< | ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~ c:\st\stm32cubeide_1.12.0\stm32cubeide\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.10.3-2021.10.win32_1.0.200.202301161003\tools\arm-none-eabi\include\c++\10.3.1\bits\s

The given example on LoRaWAN_End_Node software pack is transmit temperature, humidity, and pressure data. My main objective is to do the same thing but instead of send those three datas, I want to send the parsed GNSS data like how the SimOsGetPos did.My attemptI've replaces the SendTxData functinon with my own approach to replicate how SimOsGetPos works. Called both CUSTOM_GNSS_Init and GNSS_PARSER_Init and then set up a loop that will stop once the received data is valid.ResultThe program only done one data parsing and then it just stops (image attached).QuestionsWhy did my program stops after the first iteration and how do I fix that?I've attached my main.c and lora_app.c. I also attached the app_gnss.c that I used as reference to modify my lora_app.c file.Thank you.

The value of register VTOR at reset is "unknown" in the STM32H753 Programming Manual.I assume this is because it depends on the boot configuration of the product (boot pin and boot adress option byte) ?Is it correct to say that in the default boot configuration the value of VTOR at reset is 0x0800 0000 ? (I don't have a board to test it in the following days)Also, when the VTOR is modified by the software, does its value go back to default for any kind of reset ? (warm reset, power on, etc...)

To avoid the best accuracy when using the ADC it is advised to re-calibrate the ADC when environment temperature changes "too much"The ADC calibration can only be done when the ADC is disabled, so to re-calibrate the ADC has to be stopped, disabled, calibrated, then enabled and started again.I'm using the ADC with DMA in circular buffer mode, using only the LL API.I can see however that stopping and then starting the ADC this way results is strange intermittent inaccuracies in the ADC values read (offsets). This happens also when i'm not re-calibrating, so its not that im reading the calibration factor or something like that. What is the advised way of stopping and then restarting the ADC when using DMA/circular mode?

Hi,I would like to read the timestamp value of the RTC. I see that only the Cortex A7 have access to it and the documentation on the wiki does not give any clue to how we can read the timestamp from the m4.On the linux side i can easily obtain it:I know i can make a small service that gets the timestamp and sends it to the M4 using the rpmsg channels, but i would like to know if there is a better way to do it?Thanks

I use the CubeMonitor 1.5 to log and analyze an int32 variable in an STM32L4 controller.I need to get a new value every 500us, so I use a custom sampling frequency of 2000 Hz. For some reason the signal is not sampled reliably in 500us intervals. It does work for some period of time. After that the logging skipps one or several samples before continuing with a 500us sample period. Sometimes 10 or more samples are skipped.I use an ST-Link with an SWD frequency of 4.6 MHz, so I don't see how the SWD bandwidth could be limitting. 4 Byte with 2 kHz sampling frequency requires only 64 kBaud. Is there anything I can do to get a more reliable and fast readout of STM32 variables?PS: That the timestamp is only stored in ms resolution is not helpful either, it would be a huge improvement if the timestamp could be stored with higher resolution (at least 100us steps). I use logging to csv in the "myVariables" processing node.

Hi,i have been using F030C6 with 1 uart and make DMA works. but when i received a modem message( like AT+CPIN? e.g.) DMA stops 2 or more times. We can see the image below that i put one toogle pin to show when DMA interrupt occurs.my question is how can i configure this IDLE minimum PERIOD?

Preparing for some audio related project....If I understand correctly, I2S can transmit and receive simultaneously like SPI.Is this mode used practically? Are there codecs that can simultaneously transmit via I2S (generate sound) and receive digitized data (from a mic)?Or is this typically done using two separate I2S or SAI interfaces?
