"NC" pins on ST25R95-VMD5 Not Connected or Do Not Connect?

Casper van Doorne

Hi Everyone,

I'm designing an application with the ST25R95. It has several pins that are labeled as "NC".

To improve the PCBA lay-out, particularly the GND plane under the IC, I want to connect as many as possible pins to GND.

My Question:

Can the "NC" pins of the ST25R95 be tied to GND (Not Connected pins) or should I leave these pins floating (Do Not Connect pins) ?

Thanks in advance for sharing your insights.

Hi,

on the X-NUCLEO-NFC03A1 board, the NC pins 3/4/7/10/11/23-28 are connected to GND. See schematics in UM2479.

Same for the CR95HF transceiver board in the M24LR-DISCOVERY kit.
