Can't get MCSDK 5.4.3 to output debug dac on PA4 of STM32F303RE

I have MCSDK 5.4.3 working on the Nucleo-F303RE MCU with IHM16M1 in that I can start & stop the motor and tune values and save them. My problem is I want to use the DAC debug feature to display internal MCU variables on the DAC1 output (PA4) but it doesn't seem to work.

Running my motor code either in Keil or in MCSDK I don't see any activity on DAC1 (PA4). In my code I see an init function,  MX_DAC1_Init() called but I don't see any other code involving DAC1.

In MCSDK I set the DAC functionality as shown in the attached photo.

Is there anything else I am missing here?
