No Sensortile listed in /dev

I'm working through the UCLA Sensortile course. I have the Sensortile and a Nucleo board connected to my Mac (2018 MBP w Mojave). I see /dev/cu.usbmodem1303 but I do not see the Sensortile device.

I don't need a virtual driver on a Mac correct?

Hi, there should be no need of driver installation with a mac. please refer to this community post: https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X00009XkfDHSAZ/mac-os-driver-virtual-com-port-for-stm32-usb

btw, which FW is running on your Sensortile? Are you working with the v-com port? Regards

but with firmware version? The stsw-stlkt01_firmware or the fp-sns-allmems1_firmware? Just to understand if it could be related to the installed fw the fact that the your Mac doesn't recognize the drivers. You can also try to install usb virtual com drivers for Mac (https://www.intelligent-appliance.com/product-516-(2218_2012_08_10)_USB_Virtual_COM_Port_Drivers.aspx)

Btw: are you using the Sensortile + the cradle? Are the leds blinking when you power on the device?

I'm trying to install the ALLMEMS1 firmware onto the Sensortile from my Mac using STM32 Cube IDE.

I'm new to embedded programming - but an experienced developer. It's been a struggle to get everything to work consistently.
