Hi Imen,
Thank you for the answer. However, it rises even more questions.
The CKGATENR register allows to enable the clock in continues to these peripherals
even if they are not used.
I struggle to understand the 'not used' part.
The peripherals in question are
1. the two AHB-to-APB bridges,
2. debug module in processor
3. SRAM (there is a typo in the description, 'SRQAM')
4. FLITF (the internal FLASH interface)
5. RCC
There is a 'SPARE' bit which I assume is erm... just a spare... Correct?
Now I can see that the debug module can be unused if there's no debugger attached. I could imagine the bridges to be unused if all attached peripherals on given APB are switched off - but I doubtt this is the case. And I cannot see any scenario under which could SRAM and RCC be unused.
So, can you please elaborate, what 'unused' in this context means, what are the ramifications of said clock gating and what is the reason for having it disabled through this register?
Thanks,
Jan Waclawek
